In long ages past, the Eternals were one people. Those times though now long past were still remembered by the Eternals as it was considered the golden age of the Eternals. This time had lasted from four billion years ago to one and a quarter billion years ago. In ties age the Eternals had perfected their arts, reached the zenith of their joy, created their most magnificent and most glorious technologies only surpassed in advancement in technologies for warfare later in their time, and their people’s colonies and borders were the most spread out even vaster then the Dark Eternal Empire later in the Eternals’ history. Those time were happier for the Eternals as yet no shadow or no fault in their joy as of yet until they waged a war against a dark power which they broke and destroyed utterly and they were no more, but yet this war corrupted them.
This city had once been deep within the Eternal Empire that had been ruled by the Eldest One of the Eternal race. The city had been abandoned after the Eternals had split into the two different factions the Eternals and the Dark Eternals. Even during the golden age of the Eternals this city had been mighty and a center of learning and of the Eternals. But, after the Eternals had left they had brought the most advanced technologies of the Eternals and also many of the deeper secrets of the Eternals. But, within the center of the city lay hidden many advanced Eternals technologies and also quite a few secrets of the Eternals on their lay a seal in the tongue of the Eternals as it read in their tongue,” Amvera Eternia mersa hermiana lingaera justa wenarir hansia menasea kinakea omoian queria.”
OCC: I am also looking for someone to rp finding this city. Also if you want to join in just leave a post please or TG me. Just to be clear this thread is open to anyone who won't come and start spamming and please join this thread as I want it to become as developed as possible and with as many rpers as to improve it and build it up.
OOC: Basically the same things except there are no vast stores of knowledge that will be opened for non-Eternals by the Eternals except that I might later if I feel like it. Also the world is brimming in seravain an Eternal alloy that does not age and is extremely resilient to any form of attack and also the world holds many ancient Eternals gems of great beauty and value as well as many natural riches as of yet untapped.

John Hatanaka, an archeaologist working for UCLA, was traveling through the fringes of the New Territories. He had found interesting things, many linked to evidence of Kroot colonization and expeditions from long ago. Recently, nothign new emerged.
And frankly, he was lost. The Indiana Jones, the old ex-Navy Mao Zedong I that had been stripped of its guns that carried him and his crew, had stumbled onto an unexplored area. Quite frankly, it was unnerving, and as much as the crew tried to send distress signals and hails, they were lost to New Dornalian civilization.
He was about to send another hail. Then-
"Sir.....you'll wanna have a look at this."
Hatanaka ran to the console. It displayed a planet. The scanners that had analyzed the planet indicated there was something big down there. Something that made goign down worthwhile.
He decided to hold orbit, and send down a few men. He prepped a crew, and a Gagarin class shuttle filled with tools and men went to the surface.....
....once under the clouds, a glimmering ruin emerged. A ruin that seemed to extend over miles and miles, and yet seemed pristine, making the term a giant contradiction.
All Hatanaka could say was, "Holy s**t."
The sight was beautiful. He radioed to base: "Indiana, this is Broken Spoon. We have something. Something big."
He proceeded to land, and donned HAZMAT gear and a laspistol before exiting the craft. HE got out, and the surroundings looked very beautiful.......

The world was covered by many strange plants and flowers of the Eternals that had surviived so long due to the nature the Eternals had done to preserve the enviroments the Eternals had settled in ancient times. This world also had beautiful light from the jewels long ago crafted by the hands of skilled gifted hands of Eternal craftsmen and molded with Eternal technology. This world also had beautiful light from the jewels long ago crafted by the hands of skilled gifted hands of Eternal craftsmen and molded with Eternal technology. In every world the Eternals had tried to reproduce their paradise world with great, but not complete, sucess.
Hatanaka noted this well; he was frantically recording everything. The team was amazed, this world was like the Eden of old, what with the flowers, jewels, and other stuff left behind. They wandered around, gathering samples and observing everything.
One team member said, "Hey boss! Come here!"
Hatanaka rushed forth. A particularly magnificent stone, a title not given easily since there was plenty of that here, was shown to him. He gave it the once-over and said, "Catalog it. Damn, that's pretty. Anything about it?"
THe man said, "Well, its big, and pretty. I still gotta do indepth work, though."
Hatanaka said, "Get to it, man."
He walked all over. Everywhere, the team fanned out, maintaining radio contact. They took samples, taking care not to destroy anything and ruin the beauty of this place. They were especially intrigued by the shiny metals they found here; after all these years, they didn't rust. How did that happen? And what was with these plants?
This was gonna be a fun study....

Hatanaka and his men looked up; they saw the droids, and they were scared. A few raised lasguns, but Hatanaka told them to stand down.....
As this occured, his team was finding more and more things; more and more questions came about. Who were these guys? And why did their civilization die out?
They began moving toward the center of town. Some stayed to set up camp, and radioed for more men to come down. They took care not to alert the Red Army; though far away from anybody friendly, Shinseki's boys were infamous for stealing their research and taking the credit.

Still the Eternals dwell in their home galaxies and the surrounding galacies and they shall dwell their into the time of the rewal of the Eternals."
One man saw the inscription; he called Hatanaka over. Hatanaka, stymied by the text, brought over his chief linguist to translate.
The linguist read the text out loud.....and its meaning was clear. The good folks who made this citadel called themselves the "Eternals," and were alive and well; albeit weakened, probably by some kind of catastrophe.
Still......the meaning of that last part, the "renewal of the Eternals," was unclear. And, who were these Eternals? Finding them would be much easier, now that their continued existence was confirmed. But there was that off chance they may have been wiped out after this message was written, or reduced to a primitive state, as was the fate of many civilizations in Latin America during the Spanish conquest. They could never be too sure.

There was a flash of light, and a sleek, silver frigate slid out of the Warp. It cruised along, vaporising stray asteroids.
On the bridge, there was considerable consternation. "Lieutenant, what just happened?" Captain Aelion asked.
"Sir, it appears that our warp has gone off course, and we are now in unkown space," the Lieutenant said, wincing. "However, there is a planet nearby, it seems habitable, we could renew supplies there."
"Very well, Lieutenant, take us into orbit. Prepare a team to go down."

The team kept moving, they tagged the inscription and took pictures. They pushed to the center; hoping to find more interesting artifacts.
Meanwhile, the team that had been camped out had determined that the metal was something new to them. It didn't rust, otherwise the city wouldn't have survived. The metal was something else; they called it "Stalinite," unaware it already had a name. They admired its durability, and its wonders.....
Also, more men came from the Indiana Jones. A full company of officers moved in, to study the area further. They decided to perform subterranian scans to determine what was udner the surface, and they brought more equipment to analyze the gems.....

The crew finally approached the city center, encountering the area with the seal marked: "Amvera Eternia mersa hermiana lingaera justa wenarir hansia menasea kinakea omoian queria."
Hatanaka ordered his men to begin trying to figure out what the seal meant.
In the meantime, the subterranian scans showed rich deposits of minerals beneath the surface. Also, some of the other research indicated that the plants and other materials were safe for human consumption-just as well, the people were getting hungry, and sick of teriyaki rations.
Some of them tried to eat the plants, and succeeded. They tasted good! The others were told of these things, they ate well that day. A few others went into a wide area, and began to dig, trying not to interfere with the surroundings too much, to get the metals beneath....

Well, Hatanaka sought to get inside the structure. So, he and his men pooled their linguistic talent to try and figure out what the heck it meant.
A few of the others surveying the city noticed the droids, and began documenting them. They creeped some of the men out, but they fascinated the others. A few even tried to make contact with them.
As for the miners, they tried not to screw anything up when they drilled undergroud. They dug a 1000m shaft, and soon had men rappel down into it, to begin harvesting samples.

The question was a formality, he knew that there was that strong chance that whoever made this machine, they'd be back soon. Obviously, something this advanced had to have had comms with its makers....

Hatanaka and his team went back to analyzing the mineral samples they had found. As Hatanaka and his team were mainly archeaologists, they had to rely on People's Navy Tech Seargants and other UCLA Team members that had the needed experience to figure this stuff out.
It seemed that the Navy in particular, not just the UCLA team, was taking a keen interest in the metals and minerals found here. With communications opened between the People's Navy and the Planetside forces, a platform was deployed to represent the New Dornalian Presence in the area, and more scientists flowed in to study the fascinating life and minerals within. Meanwhile, 500 men and two Mao Zedong IIa's were placed on the platform, the rest were returned to their ships and left the area....

The gems soon caught the attention of collectors and scientists alike, who flocked to the world to begin purchasing the beautiful stones for experiments or their art collections. Soon, a thriving auction house emerged in the largest settlement, Trotskygrad, where enthusiasts of all kinds lined up to buy the stones. A few other gem trading houses emerged, these being very competitive. After all, only a few of the gems the Eternals made trickled in at a time......

The Governor of Trotskygrad, the New Dornalian Colony, replied that he was grateful for the offer, and accepted. He then offered the history of New Dornalia:
History-
OOC: This is an alternate universe Earth, BTW. That incident with the Norweigian Rocket really did happen though-the Russians nearly nuked the planet until they managed to sort things out.
IC:
It all began with the Apocalypse.
In the year 1995, the US and the USSR went to war. The Russians, mistaking a Norweigian test rocket for a nuke, launched the long-feared blitz of West Germany in retaliation, igniting the War to Truly End All Wars.
When it was over in a matter of months, the world was in ruins. Large parts of North America, Europe, and Asia were turned into nuclear wastelands. Zombies, mutants, and horrors began to emerge. Nazis, Rogue Generals, ganglords, cultists, angry clans, and all those with guns and men to spare went to war in an orgy of death, to see who would emerge as the king of this new Hell.
In this atmosphere, a group of anime fans, college leftists, gun nuts, gangbangers, and kung-fu enthusiasts emerged to rule Long Beach, California. Led by a charismatic leader named Jack Leung, he took the name of an old manga he was drawing himself, the "Adventures in Dornalia," and used it to name his nation "Dornalia," which lorded over all of Long Beach. He soon began a bloody war of expansion, fighting the Crips/Bloods, the LAPD, and the remnants of the California National Guard and the Church of Scientology to lord over all of LA County. He consolidated his hold, and established a bizarre, dictatorial regime, where he named himself as King.
He embraced progressive measures, ruling over his city state like a benevolent despot. However, absolute power soon corrupted Jack, and he began to abuse his powers, supping well as others starved and killing all who resisted. He even began to embrace Nazism, modeling his armed forces after the Waffen SS and keeping an iron grip over the people.
By 2035, his state had grown by leaps and bounds, ruling over much of the West. However, it was poor, and on the verge of bankruptcy, morally and finacially. LA began to resemble the LA of Blade Runner-grimy, dark, and full of sin.
Soon, a change would emerge.
In 2050, a group of radicals met to form the Comrades Society. Drawing upon Marxist-Leninist and Maoist ideals, they vowed to kill the King, currently King Jack II, and establish a fair, equitable government.
Soon, the King was faced with a massive insurgency, as terrorism and urban resistance akin to the IRA of the 1970's thundered across the West. In addition, the Mormon Union began a push south and west, expelling the Dornalians from Nevada and Arizona, and Elven tribes, expelled from the Upper Midwest by the Mormons, moved into Washington and Oregon, clashing with the Dornalians successfully on many occasions.
The result was a violent revolution, which resulted in the overthrow of the monarchy and the creation of the Dornalian Republic. But, like many revolutions, it turned sour. Infighting between Leninists and Maoists soon crippled the new government, and foreign invaders nearly wiped Dornalia off the map.
However, the Leninists soon emerged victorious, and conducted a masterful defense under the command of General Shimura, a great hero in New Dornalian history. His actions at San Bernardino, Fresno, and Lake Tahoe stopped invaders, and kept the nation solvent.
With the enemy kept at bay, for now, the Leninists began to consolidate their rule. Under their guidance, oppression remained. However, the standard of living rose genuinely, and many were definetly better off than under the monarchy. Under the stewardship of General Shimura, who became Premier, the First Constitution was made, giving New Dornalians (the "New" was added to symbolize a distance from the old, hated monarchy) a semblance of democracy and some rights. The Patriotic Church emerged, its creed written out as a pastiche of Communist lore and government attempts to get the people in line by embracing a moral creed. Trade flourished, scientists worked to get our understanding of technology back to what it was before the Apocalypse with success (teams of Scavengers, or commandos commissioned by the Commissariat of Science, were sent to find examples of pre-Apocalypse tech and old documents/software of any kind) and it seemed that the nation was doing just fine!
But, oppression remained. So did war; the Shimura regime saw near constant war with Mormons, Abhumans, and Navajo Indians. By 2090, New Dornalia had experienced almost 500 wars of varying size and shape, ranging from failed expeditions to Oregon, to brushfire wars in the Sierra Nevadas, to small-scale skirmishes.
Now, it was time for a change.....it was now 2156, and a new Premier, Robert MacIntyre was commissioned. He had a more liberal agenda.......
...which showed, as he repudiated the old regime's policies. He established a concrete Bill of Rights, a new constitution that provided fro a real democracy, and he worked to create Restrained Capitalism, New Dornalia's present system of economics.
He also worked to increase funding for pure sciences, and began to encourage New Dornalians to use science and diplomacy to try and solve problems. This resutled in treaties with nations as far away as Japan and South Africa, which greatly benefited the Workers State with goods and supplies.
By now, the Commissariat for Science had sent out several space probes. The result was first contact, on March 24th, a day still celebrated. This soon led to what was dubbed the "Soviet Renaissance," a burst of technological innovation and space exploration. The Che Guevara Space Station was made, mechas were introduced into military service, and Jedi were recruited.
However, the event that really put New Dornalia into the bigtime was the colonization of New Star City and New Leningrad in 2161, no mean feat for a nation a small as New Dornalia at the time. The acquistion of an Eclipse Star Destroyer and seven colony ship from Kyanges added to New Dornalia's race to the top, as this led to the creation of stronger ships that could compete with other nations, and much needed improvements. It also led to the creation of Mobile Suits, which are now the pride and joy of New Dornalia, as well as indegenous fighter designs, as well.
However, the matter of Earth still remained. The Treaty of Los Angeles was signed on June 26th, 2164 in a masterful example of gunboat diplomacy at its best (or worst; the whole of Alpha Fleet, 15 Zaitsev Imperial Star Destroyers and 20 Mao Zedong II Battleships, was aimed at Earth, to persuade other nations at a conference to agree). This treaty unified Earth-an accomplishment that Lenin and Mao could only dream about.
Now, as New Dornalia enters the stars, having colonized six new planets, colonized an entire array of systems, and having created new technological wonders with the help of other nations, and having won a war against the United Mankind, the Workers State looks to the Future...
-----------
Culture-
The People of ND are raised, technically from a Post-Apocalyptic situation; hence the Abhumans. As such, many forms of modern pop culture, such as anime, Star Wars, etc., are seen as simple myths and folktales, and cherished. Rock and roll could be called the national music, though blues and R&B/Soul have a huge following too.
Also, years of Communist indoctrination have given the People an inbred distrust of royalty and big business, and other practices they see as "capitalist (a perjorative)," such as Christianity (it was only with the MacIntyre Administration that Freedom of Religion was instituted; he himself was a Baptist) or addressing persons as "sir" or "ma'am," as "Citizen" or "Comrade" is often a common form of address. Many can quote old Communist texts, and many are devout, religiously and Socialistically. Law and order is a desired virtue; indeed, many support the broad powers of the Internal Security Bureau (though it has been softened and restrained in recent years by Premierist and Politburo action). Progressive "nanny state" measures like welfare and national health are favored, and generally, the attitude of the people is that big government that works for the people in a contract relationship (it gives them plenty of goodies, they fight for it and pay it taxes) is good.
However, in a contradictory turn of events, many embrace the idea of small business and medium business. This has led to a form of "Restrained Capitalism" featured in the MacIntyre Administration; which allows for large corporations to exist, but puts them under control of Worker's Committees (OOC: Credit goes to Communist Louisiana, and some RL Chinese companies for this concept) or the direct command of the government, while leaving medium and small businesses unimpeded, but watched. Closed shops where people must join unions are mandatory, and only recently have businessmen been allowed to join the Party. Guns are also cherished and tolerated; this is again due to the necessity of a post-Apocalyptic landscape. In fact, citizens are even required to own a firearm and are required to be proficent in it; this is a duty which many surprisingly enjoy.
Abhumans occupy a unique place in society, and not a happy one. Their lot is equivalent to Black Americans or Northern Irish Catholics, especially the "Neckers," which thanks to continous warfare in the early days of the WSND, were and are still treated like different persons, often recieving discrimination in housing and jobs and being stereotyped in everyday media in a way similar to Native Americans and Asian women (the "Suzie Wong") in the 1950's. Elves actually have it a bit easier, but are still mocked as "pretty boys" and "Spocks." Things are getting better, as Abhumans have banded together using legal action.
Catpeople do not have standard last names; in lieu of this, the mother's first name and the suffix "Chibi" is affixed. This is the equivalent of old Scandanvian names liked "Carlsson," which mean "Son of Carl;" a name like "Linda-chibi" means "Child of Linda." Catpeople, meanwhile, come from all over (ex. Mexican-American and Asian-American descended tribes in the Western Old US, Turkish and German tribes in Eastern Germany); but they all generally have elements of Japanese culture in every tribe; a pattern that demands further research.
Elves use standard last names, as many Elves came from populations of West-Central European descent, predominately Dutch and German (large numbers of Elves exist in or are descended from populations in Midwest North America, South Africa (Boers), the Netherlands, Germany, Scandanavia, and Celtic areas like Scotland and Ireland), many will have names of these sort; for example, particularly well known Elven surnames are "ten Boom," "Kruger," "van der Roon," "Stuyvesant," "Botha," "Larsen," "Christensen," "Becker," "Olsen," "Mackay," "O'Connell," "MacClanathan," and "Menzies."
New Dornalians are also eager to embrace science, if not necessarily new ideas, an ideal formed from necessity in a post-Apocalyptic world. As a result, a new wave of scientific integration and innovation has occured, and has impacted society. Many New Dornalians cherish old timey things and will often follow the way of "waste not want not," but get a new shiny car in their face or give them a new computer and they'll go for it.
Sports in New Dornalia are relatively primitive compared to other civilizations. Sportshooting, boxing, kendo, kung fu, and soccer are relatively popular. In addition, the rise of Mobile Suits has led to private and government attempts to begin some kind of Mobile Suit Tournament, akin to G Gundam or Battlebots
Addendi:
New Dornalians love gambling (represented in a flourishing casino business in Las Vegas, New England and France/Monaco), a thriving government-controlled prostitution business exists (where prostitutes are required to come in for physicals every month and are required to pay a cut of their earnings to the government, in exchange for very clean and comfortable "working areas."), and a pervading sense of "anime asthetics," which inflects all parts of art and society with an anime-style look, exists as well.

The Eternals then using there powers brought them minds of the Church leaders who were intrested spirits to the Eternal home world. There they witnessed the world in all it's glory, beuaty, and bliss. The silver and gold towers of the Eternals crowned with a roff of percios stones. The streets made of crystal. From there they were transported across the planet instantly to the hall of the Eldest One ruler of the Eternal race and the mightest and most fair of the Eternal race and......
The Churchmen were amazed.....they thought that this was the proverbial Paradise. Some sects of the Church believed that those who served the People well would go to this place, where they would live in harmony and eternal peace forever, like St. Marx proposed. (OOC: Marx didn't do this, but these guys did create their faith after an apocalypse, so....)
THe head of the delegation, Commissar Fedorov, said, "Peace be unto you. You have shown us many wonders, good sir. Sts. Mao and Kalashnikov would be pleased!"

The Commissar began to quake. He couldn't believe this! Capitalists, infidels, had made Paradise! He began to question his faith for a brief moment, then shook his head and said, "Well, our church has the moral advantage! Surely, no acheivement of this magnitude was possible without the blood, sweat and tears of the Workers and Peasants, whom you surely exploited to get this far!"
Of course, he was dead wrong.

The Eternals answered," The labours of our empire were done alone by the Eternals. We wrought this empire through our blood and toil. The Eternal home world was created soely through the mights and skills of the Eternals. The Eternals never used the labour and toils of peasents and workers of younger races in the Eternal Empire to forge it."

One of the Eternals raised his hand and brought up an entire moon from a nearby planet and placedit in orbit around the planet. Then the Eternal destoryed cuasing a rain of gold and silver light to shine on the planet.

One of the others, intrigued, said, "Tell me, is there a way we could learn these things?"

OOC: I mean that your people as humans are npt evoled enough to attain such powers.
