With the recent acquisition of infantry weaponry from the nation of Chronosia, the Red Army has taken the opportunity to standardize and adopt these new weapons into service.
Effective immediately, plasma weaponry, lascannons, and flamers will now be produced in the various Military Reservations in the New Territories and elsewhere, and will be mounted onto standard Kurosawa Power Armor as an equipment kit. Also, lascannons and plasma guns will be made to replace the present heavy lasguns in service. Flamers will also be issued to specialist units for use in suppression.
Meanwhile, for all units, chainswords, chainaxes, powerswords and will be made available for close combat. And, a new infantry rifle is under development to replace the R-1a lasgun.

(OOC: Well, imagine the M41 Pulse rifle here, I removed the pic.....)
Today, we are pleased to announce that the Tartakovsky Design Bureau has released the SIGaG-1 Infantry Railgun, to be used for standard infantry use. Based on the recently developed IGaG-1 for the People's Guardians, and inspired by the Eshirian System, it uses a system involving a power cell that contains hydrogen fuel on one side, and "replicator fuel" (a paste that is a mix of plastics embedded with bits of leninite and tungsten) that is used to power a portable replicator inside of the gun, which manufactures 8mm railgun slugs that are then fed into the chamber and shot out via electromagnetic forces using two rails in the barrel at high speeds (tests clocked the speeds at 10,000+fps at maximum power), at sustainable fire rates of 850 rpm.
The gun itself features single shot, 2 shot, and fully automatic fire modes, and can be set to safe (a given). It comes with iron sights and can be mounted with a 4x scope, as well as a 20mm grenade launcher.
The gun itself is set to enter service soon, with production underway at all Military Reservations.
(OOC: Hey, replicating rounds inside the gun?! That's sounds suspiciously familiar...!

OOC: Well, you got me. Should I edit that?
(OOC: Just checking to see if you got that from me, or somewhere else. I know I'm not the first to come up with it, but if you got it from me in particular, then please, by all means, give credit where it is due.)

OOC: Well, I edited it so that inspiration is credited to the "Eshirian System."

I hope he told you what happens when Sunfury Plasma Weapons overheat, right?
You'd be better off with the IoM.

The Imperium dislikes the Celestial Swords unfounded criticisms of Chronosian goods; and assumes that a civilised race such as New Dornalia has more sense than to listen to them. The IoM would not have given you all that the Imperium has given you; Warp Cannons, genetic technology; the power to forge legions and the weapons to arm them with; and hopes that such continued aid can serve as a guarantee of Chronosian good will and friendship.

OOC: I am familiar with the consequences of plasma weapons overheating in 40K, but not of the kind you describe.
As for the Pulse Rifle picture, yes, it is the M41. Was that meant in a serious way or a funny way? If it was a problem, I can delete that pic.

You're damn right. My boys have tried out said weaponry, and have reported nothing overly dangerous whatsoever, especially with the Plasma Gun in question.
