The first Leader of the Concordiat was Provost-General Gharn, who led the soverign power through much of its early years. He was a Militarist, whose party had control of the government, since the nation was created as a military outpost. He had built the General Guard, the initial agressively enhanced Oraneks who made up the core of the Concordiat Ground Force.

His death at the hands of Clan Dhk'narrma, brought General Narrma to power. Narrma changed his name to Thoma after an ancient warlord of myth, and became Provost-General Thoma. He realized the inadequacy of the power he was creating, and began the Mechanization which was his dream, however perverse.

The Machines created by Thoma did not run wild. They simply pursued the Prime Code. They had been programmed to finish out Mechanization. When the next leader from Clan Dhk'narrma came to power (Provost-General Ophuil), the Mechanization programm was halted. The existing artificial constructs recognized this as a threat to the Prime Code, and assaulted the Concordiat.

The fighting lasted for the better part of a decade, but the overwhelmed humans gave ground until Sol III, better known as Earth or Terra, was consumed by the nanobots that harvested planets.

The Machines continue to exist now, faithfully carrying out the Prime Code, and exterminating any Concordiat world which maintains soft-life. Mechanization continues, and the Mainframe was built after the war, and Provost-General Thoma's thought processes were duplicated into it, with much error.

Thus, the ONI Concordiat stands today, a monument to the efforts of Provost-General Thoma, and a nation willing to defend itself, if only to maintain the Prime Code.

In various places around the previous imperium, however, Organic outposts still retain Oranek civilization. They are small, but they will grow. The machines are looking for them, but they have much technology, and their worlds cannot be detected from Outside. Thus, the Machines must look in normal space.

These Organics will resist when the Machines find them. But they will be defeated by the Prime Code.
