The Grand Imperium of Risban

Earlier today, there were multiple attacks throughout the capital of Risban City.

An aide from the Ministry of Industry approached Emperor Scorpius today as he was leaving the Parliamentary Chambers. The aide carried a briefcase. While the Emperor was answering questions from reporters, the aide ran forward screaming, his briefcase high in the air. The case exploded; two Lictors were able to cover the Emperor.
One of the Emperor's Lictors, eight reporters, and Lord Justinian Fowl's secretary were all killed. The Emperor received some singe marks and bruises, and spraigned his ankle; he is currently recovering in Imperial Palace with his wife and son. Lord Fowl received a slight concussion and injured his back, while Defence Minister Brenn McBone and Press Secretary Julia Ormiv only received minor burns.

Only minutes after the bombing in the Parliamentary Chambers, a man approached Cardinal James Klitpnock, religious advisor to the Emperor, in the Risban City Cathedral. He shot the Cardinal and then took his own life.

And, shortly after that, a ScorpCorp food truck drove through the gates of the Green Sun Embassy and collided with the embassy's front, exploding. The blast killed five people.

The Office of the Emperor has issued the following statement in response to the worst attacks in the Risban Empire ever since the terrorist attacks in January..."

Emperor Scorpius sends his most sincere sympathies to the families of those killed in the bombings at the Green Sun Embassy and the Parliamentary Chambers. He also shares in mourning the death of the beloved Cardinal James Kliptnock, a close friend and advisor of the Emperor.

In these troubled times, we must remember to remain strong and not lose hope. Today, someone attempted to kill the Emperor of the Risbanian Imperium. They failed, and those responsible will pay for it.

The Grand Imperium of Risban will not rest until those responsible for the assasinations and bombings are brought to justice.

Sub-General Grant Marsh looked up at the sound of someone entering his office. He looked back down at his papers as he saw it was his long time friend and aide Jacob Baker. "What is it baker?"

"Sir, this just came in from foreward post 3 gamma beta."

Marsh looked back up. "3gB? what the heck is near there?"

"A city. The capital city of the Risban Empire."

"So? why should I be concerned with an empire that is 3 light years away?"

"Because out probe spotted Tompson. we belaive he was connected with an assasination attempt on the Emperor of Risban, along with several other bombings."

"WHAT!!?" Marsh jumped up out of his chair. "TOMPSON! Thats it. I really didnt care when he deserted the Army. I also didnt care when he started going pirate. he only hit here and there, and never took any big things. But an assasination attemp on a FOREIGN Emperor? He's gone too far. He could start a war." Marsh sighed. "Get me connected with this Emperor. And ready Special Forces Squad Beta. Get them on their way to Risban. Insertian in 2 days."

Baker saluted. "Yes Sub-General" he ran out of the room to get the communications officer. Marsh sighed. They really needed to get Tompson back in North Mack.

Kimiko Ayasugi watched the news feed with jealousy and praise. One one hand, she didn't like others stealing what thunder she had left. On the other, it siginified that her membership was valid.

She decided to throw her own evil into the pot; she wanted a piece of the proverbial action and the RALM needed a few kills under its belt. So...she made a few calls.

Alexandria, Free Egyptian Republic-

The disco was unusually busy tonight. Xenizen soldiers, pockets full of money from payday, were mingling and dancing with native Arabs. The music was pounding and the dim lights seemed to promise a sensual, fun time for all.

Unbeknownst to them, a van drove up to the disco. It was a Egyptian Telephone van, an innocous Ford Club Wagon modified to hold extra tools. However, tonight, they didn't have tools. They had SEMTEX. Some 40 pounds of it.

And nobody noticed when the driver got out. He had a cell phone with him. Wandering away, he dialed a number on the phone.....

Alexandria Naval Yard, FRE-

At the same time, a fishing boat moved close to some FRE and Xenizen ships docked at the Yard, but not too close as to attract attention. A few frogmen, from the Tokko, got out, using UDT training recieved in the proxy territories of the RALM. They targeted the carrier Kitakyushu, swimming under it and planting several limpet mines.

Then, they swam away, and silently left. The mines were left on a five second timer.....

...and soon, two simeltanious explosions ripped through Alexandria. The Kitakyushu began to sink in a ball of fire, as the planes on its deck and the fuel inside caught fire in a massive mess. The disco itself was consumed as well......

Hong Kong-

"MOTHERF**KER!"

Gordon Lew was woken up with the news.

"Hands of the Shadows!? S**t. The RALM was bad enough...."

(OOC: Gordon does not know about the SoS-RALM connection)

A tape soon was broadcasted on XNN:

"This is the Hands of the Shadows. We have attacked elements of the Xenizen Armed Forces in Egypt. We have done this because of their support for the Emperor of Risban. Perhaps they will be compelled to change their loyalties, to avoid further incidents."

Lew radioed a rebuttal, simply saying: "F**k you."

UPDATE
The Grand Imperium of Risban has declared to find and destroy these "Hands of Shadows" at all costs for the attacks throughout Risban and Upper Xen. The Imperial Military has made it quite clear that should anyone attempting to kill the Emperor will be executed on accounts of treason and/or attempted regicide, as well as terrorism.

The Grand Imperium sends its sympathies out to its allies in Upper Xen and vows to work hard to stop these terrorists from ever striking again.

Green Sun will avenge all of those killed by slaying five for every one death caused by these terrorists! Green Sun is deploying the Forge Force stationed in Risban to help the investigations. We will not tolerate any attacks on Green Sun or its allies!

Meanwhile-

"This is Ron Burgundy for XNN News. With the cooperation of local authorities in all Xenizen territories and allied nations, National Police has begun an all out assault on the Hands of the Shadows. The Home Secretary and the President have authorized the use of maximum powers and force to stop these terrorists from ruling the shadows."

In cities from Townsville to Hong Kong to Los Angeles to Cairo, National Police Counter Revolutionary Force squads could be seen breaking into houses of suspected terrorists, and performing searches. National Police agents of all kinds, in the shadows, began making inquiries and investigations, attempting to root out the terrorists and get a foothold in the organization. Gunshots could be heard every so often, possibly involving terrorists and National Police agents, tjough nobody could confirm this.

The Xenizen CIA, meanwhile, was mobilized, and awoken from its drug deals and criminality to fight the menace as well. They were ordered to work with NP, something they didn't like, but had to do....soon, they began milking their Russian Mob and Triad connections, hoping for answers.

Insula Umbra
The Circulate of Seven, the leaders of the Society of Shadows, watched on televisions in the headquarters as the news reported the ongoings of what was happening. They were all quite pleased; things were going as planned. Paranoia was setting in among various nations, and the arms of the Shadows were pulling all the right strings.

The large criminal organizations indeed gave names; names that the Society of Shadows did not want around when they made their move for power. Names of those that were not members of the Society, but threats.

It was now time to make the move in Risban.

"My son's plan to take control over Green Sun's government failed, Zorag. he is in a coma and Earnest Equanant is to blame. What shall we do with this problem?" Emperor Banaan asked Zorag.

OOC: Is this MT or FT?

"Patience, Banaan," smirked Zorag, standing from his seat at the jet black table. "It is a minor setback. His failure will no longer matter by tomorrow."

Zorag fixed his tie, beginning to walk towards the door.

"Keep the television on, kiddies," said Zorag. "Because things are going to get exciting really soon."

The leader of the Society left, heading back to Risban.

The UXCIA began chasing the names their criminal contacts gave them. National Police insisted on coming onboard, and they began interrogating those names given....

...and many of them seemed to claim innocence. No matter, they were hauled into remote holding cells for questioning. A few were let out, passing their polygraphs and exams by Vortiguants. Others were interrogated throuoghly.

The terrorist actions taken by the Hand of Shadows willl be the last actions these scum ever take. A full 10 squads of Halo Force commandos is being prepped to travel to Risban to aid you in hunting down these f**kbags.
