The US proposes a multilateral treaty to ban the use of DDT which is carried across the globe on dust clouds so that DDT that swept into the air in China always ends up falling no the west coast of the US or from Africa and ends up contaminated land and water in Europe or the Carribean.
People exposed to DDT end up with the most horrible cases of cancer, lung disease, humongistitis, and brain disorders, and baby's of mothers exposed to DDT end up having kids with serious and sometimes fatal birth defects.
Therefore let us come together to create an international ban on DDT.
