International AIDS Conference[Earth II]

Offical Announcement by the Suffete

Nations of the world, AIDS is a disease that plagues our people. Although the worst hit areas are in Central and Southern Africa, no where is safe from it's deadly grasp. Despite the trillions of dollars our nations put into weapons of war and destruction, we cannot come up with a simple AIDS vaccine. Even if we were to, many people are far away from where they could get such a vaccination, and many more couldn't even afford it! We believe that an AIDS conferece would help us rid the world of this pestilence, as we did to Small Pox before it!

If even only one nation applies for this conference, then we shall decide on a date and time later.

Official Response from the EOL

The Empire will gladly send a delegate to this conference as this affects the entire world. Our semi-isolationist attitude only affects us when matters directly affects us. This affects everybody.

The C-21B Learjet 80 sat on the ground at Layarteb IAP. Inside, the two pilots sat comfortably, going over their preflight checks. Climbing into the cabin was the Layartebian diplomat, four bodyguards, and a liason of three more people. They could seat 8 comfortably in the cabin, 20 in emergency configuration. The unrefueled range of the little Learjet was some 6,289 miles, not enough to get to New Delhi on one fuel tank. The Learjet was equipped for inflight refueling and it would do so, over Iceland, over Reykjavík.

The four bodyguards were members of Force Victor. With them came a small assortment of weaponry. Their primary weapons were an M52 Carbine, equipped with double magazines, having sixty rounds at the ready. Each of them carried some seven double-clips, including the ones loaded, giving them a total of four hundred and twenty rifle rounds. For sidearms, they all carried M33A6 Pistols, equipped with a single clip of twenty 5.7 x 28mm, small rifle rounds, made to pierce bodyarmor. Even more, they carried five clips total, including the one in the weapon. Other breaching charges, grenades, stun devices, and assorted weapons were also with them. They didn't play around.

***********************************************************************************

At the same time that the C-21B was taking off, another jet was landing, this was much further south, landing on Isla Nublar. Things had gone on there, unnoticed, throughout the entirity of the situations in the world. It had been left unscathed. Some 250,000 people had been delivered to the islands and had, since the island was first established as a forsaken outpost, formed some 8 different tribes, so to speak. The damned lived amongst each other, in communities, procreated, spread their diseases, and warred with each other. At least 50,000 of them had died, whether from their diseases, from execution, from wars, or from suicide.

The islands were unknown to the world, part of the Empire's plan to rid itself of incurable diseases. Anyone with one was sent to the island. AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases accounted for some 72% of the diseased on the island.

Particularily in India, AIDS is on the rise in Elephantum. We would request to send some of our finest civilian doctors, military doctors, medical professors, and pharmecutical experts to this conference. If possible, they would fly in on two Boeing 747-400 jets, unarmed of course, from Chennai/Madras Civilian Airport.

New Delhi Convention Center

Senator Ali, the person who had convinced the Sufette to have an AIDS conferece, looked over the convention center. They were days off schedule, but now everything was complete. The Senator turned to his couriers and sent them forth to summon the delegates with the following message:

The conference is about to begin. While some of you may be a bit uneasy due to the recent escalation in conflict between some of our nations, we hope that, for the time being at least, we can focus solely on the problem of AIDS.

Schweet.

Just some OOC info about the two islands. Yes they exist, yes they are visible from satellites, yes there are rumors it is a very scary place, yes you can see the small military airfield. But please avoid going "Oh we know what's there, etc." I'd stick to the rumors.

Thanks

I was hoping for this to play a role with the LON or something with like a resolution against it or something, you know controversy but I don't think the LON is very active.

We are intrigued by this conference and wish to send our own experts in as well. As Japan is worried about AIDs becomming a bigger threat to Japan, and the rest of the world, we will be sending in our top scientists. They will leave from Tokyo and land in a Japanese Naval Base in Myanmar, and will take off from there and land in New Delhi.

-Emperor Harrison I

The small private jet was being prepared for its journy to India. Three soldiers from the 27th Infantry Regiment were assigned as the guards for the Japanese scientists. They were armed with the HK-G36 Compact Rifle and Sig Saure P250 DCc Compact Pistols. Although this may seem much to most people, but Japan and India were having some rough times with each other and it would be best to stay safe.

Inside the hotel room, the Layartebian diplomat looked to his two aides. "So what have we on the docket?"

"Well sir, first and foremost we are going to be asked about Isla Sorna and Isla Nublar. You undoubtedly know about the rumors. It does show up on satellite scans. The army base can be seen, so can the airfield, that's not a secret. However, the true nature of the island is a secret. Unfortunately, the rumors of the island are that it is a ghastly place, experiments, diseased, just a massive human rights violation." One of the aides said.

"Therefore our response on the island will be that yes, there is a small military unit based on the island. However, the nature of the island is a sensitive, classified operation of military intelligence. There is no human rights violations as the only humans are those of military nature." The other aide said.

"Understood. When will this conference start?"

"At noon today."

"Very well."

The Japanese Private Jet had taken off from Myanmar this morning. Everything had gone well and more good things were expected too happen. Japan had nothing to hide anyways, infact, Japan was to bring more ideas. Especially about using the Antartican land that was up for bids as an International Research Center, and a place where people may go in times of war. It would be some sort of mutual thing, where war would not go too so international scientists may work together in harmony. On board the Private Jet was Reizo Hanzo ( I am going to list there names in an American way, in Japan it would be Hanzo Reizo ), top scientist on AIDs and several other STDs. The rest of the scientists were there mostly for aide and advisement. The rest had been put on the research for cures for certain other diseases too. The Private Jet would land in New Delhi in about another half hour ( IRL ).
