OOC: This RP is open to anyone who wants to take a planet deep within my space, but the person doing this will also make an enemy of me. I'm assuming GE members will want to support this planet, due to the state of war that exists between me and them.

IC: HTMGCN (Hyperspatial Travel Mostly Government-Controlled News)
is unhappy to announce that 2 of the three habitable planets in the Yarron system are in open rebellion against the Realm.

As the system most hurt by the war, all three planets have had their resources tremendously diminished, and the Consul, elected ruler of the system, declared open rebellion after a popular vote from the people.

The rebels have captured a Aura-class Carrier, and a number of smaller craft. Unfortunately, all Battlegroups are either at war or maintaining peace, so only a diplomatic mission has been sent to attempt to re-establish the system as part of the Realm.

Three hundred Realm Guard have been taken into custody, and the rebels have touted this as one of their main reasons for rebellion, the Consul having being quoted as saying "If an unarmed populace can take control of a inner world, what could the Chronosian Fleet do?"

- On Yarron III, the most inhabited planet of the system.

The Consul is addressing a crowd of fervent supporters. "The Realm is no longer strong enough to aid and provide for us. We must seek protection, or we will surely be ripped apart for daring to rebel against that tyrannical rule! You, the people, have chosen that we send a representative to the Galactic Empire, in order to request induction into their Empire. I am certain they will accept our offer, as they will gain a valuable staging point, and we gain protection from obliteration, in many forms! You, the people, have chosed that we build our own fleet, and we shall, in order to sustain ourselves.
I am tired now, but the diplomat has taken the Saras, a powerful modified frigate, in order to break through the lines of war and negotiate with the Emperor of the Galactic Empire!"

*Cheering ensues, and people wave anti-Realm banners, and throw confetti and fireworks explode*

The third planet in the Yarron system has been bombed to a pulp, as the pro-government people refused to join the rebellion. Two ships have been commandeered from the third planet, the Nahgan, a relatively new corvette, an previously-unexplored class of warship, and the Ikimas II, a heavy destroyer. They had been in port previously, and had been disabled while the crew was off-duty, by a neutron flare.

The rural areas of Yarron IX have been left untouched, and the previously neutral or pro-government people have sworn allegiance to the new Yarron Government.

(Attn GE members! If you want a change to take over a planet in the middle of my space, giving you a great staging point, feel free to do so!)

A few days later, a small fleet has been mobilised to retake Yarron. Consisting of perhaps half the size of the fleet of the rebellion, the naval officers and craft used were the finest.

The Taranthil led the way, a refurbished battlecruiser, touting four laser batteries, twelve missile pods, and a six generators, not to mention to four hundred plasma guns put at tactical locations on the hull.

Following this proud craft was the Kitten of Inevitable Doom, a light cruiser, carrying six laser batteries, and two hundred plasma guns, although missiles were expensive in this day and age, so the missile pods had been replaced with laser guns, useable by gunners.

Seventeen fighters followed, each one battered with use, but still quite functional. Only two interceptors, Ylaran-class, were with this small fleet, although these interceptors were dreadfully expensive, they were remarkably speedy and well-armoured.

The Taranthil carried the fighters, and the captain had been briefed with a simple objective - Retake the planet, and minimise losses. Each fighter used here could be better used at the front. The Kitten of Inevitable Doom had been pulled off the Chronosian assault, and the Taranthil had been taken out of the scrapyard, and the ship itself was inherently unsafe, as well as scrappy looking.

The Lord Commander was angry. She hadn't slept in two weeks, and her power in the Council had been blocked by Sithoute, a Councilor of some repute. He had blocked the previous two war movements, maintaining that the current rebellion would simply flare up, and what good was Chronosia if we didn't have Hyperspatial Travel?

She knew that conquering much of Chronosia would allow her to wring a favourable peace treaty from the Empire, thereby giving her absolute power in the Council. She collapsed in her chair, falling in to a troubled sleep...
