Port Yuko, Bonstock
A limousine prowled through the streets, in a motorcade surrounded by police officers in motorcycles. It was getting into the evening, just abuot time for President Harald Gustavsson to make his State of the Federal Republic speech in front of the Senate. He sat in his car, next to his young, female advisor, Colonel Lin Mei.
"Sir," Lin said, "There is bad news to report. Your popularity rating are falling. Many commoners are lacking faith in your new direction, Lord Harald. How are we to respond to it."
"Mei, this lowering will come to pass. I am sure that a quick economic downturn will have no permenant effect."
The limousine stopped in front of the Senate house. Lord Harald and Colonel Lingot out, while a band next to them began playing "Hail to the Chief." All of a sudden, a car on the streets accelerated towards the limousine. Some guards looked, and began firing shots at it, but the car plowed into Lord Harald's limo, and exploded. Guards quickly escorted Harald and his advisor in, but many Bonstocknians lay dead.
The speech went as normal, but at the end, Lord Harald gave a response to his would-be assasins:
"Just a few minutes ago, I personally was attacked by traitorous terrorists. These assasins specifically wanted to kill me. I will send this message to these men. You will never get the Lord of all Bonstocknians."
In an apartment in Bonstock's capital of Port Yuko, a man flipped off his television in disgust. "It failed. How could it fail?"
The telephone rang. The man picked it up. "Hello?" he said.
"Johnson, you failed me again."
"But boss, they had security everywhere. We lost a good man."
"I don't want excuses. Your payment is being withheld for now. I want Lord Harald dead."
"Yes, sir." He hung up the phone. "This deal gets worse by the minute," he muttered to himself.
A message was sent out to all the nations of the world. "Anyone with information pertaining to the recent assasination attempt is welcome to give such information, and any help from the international community in finding these terrorists will be most welcome. Together, we must destroy this terrorist threat."
