It has been 10 months since the Global Jihad terrorist attacks on the Rovonian capital city which killed 18 million people and the assination of the entire Rovonian Nazi government, causing the whole governmental structure to collapse.

The Free Democratic Movement (FDM) had taken over the running of the Rovonian nation, but it's record has been at best poor!

Parts of the Rovonian nation have been taken by foreign powers like Halberdgardia, McKagan and Leafanistan and other nations have put severe restrictions on the sovereignty of Rovonia, trying to curtail Rovonia's right to it's own defence policy and Rovovnia has seen other nations interfere in it's internal affairs at will, with the FDM powerless to do anything about it.

On the domestic front, the situation was no better!

Illiteracy is rife, hunger and poverty are the norm for most Rovonians and shanty towns now scatter the major cities of Rovonia. Crime is out of control and the streets are no go areas for people at night, as criminal gangs, drug dealers and muggers claim the streets as theirs hwne the sun sets.

After being welcomed by most Rovonians as a positive change from the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior, the FDM government was now VERY UNPOPULAR.

Daily street demonstrations against foreign imperialism, poverty and the incompetent FDM government were now taking place.

The main opposititon to the FDM government is the Communist Party of Rovonia (CPR), led by the charismatic ex-teacher Nikolai Trasu.

The CPR was the only party to have been active in opposition to the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior and because of this, many Rovonians have a large degree of respect for the CPR and Trasu.

At first the Rovonians were willing to give the FDM a chance, but it's time in government has swayed the Rovonian people way from the FDM.

After two weeks of large demonstrations and a general strike that has but all put the Rovonian economy, what was left of it, to a halt, the FDM ruling council has resigned from office.

All government ministers, the transitional President have resigned their offices.

The ruling council of the FDM passes a resolution to dissolve itself as a party, seeing that it can no longer play any constructive role in the future of Rovonia.

Within hours of the collapse of the FDM government, CPR activists occupy all government buildings and the Presidential Palace.

The ex-leaders of the FDM fly out of Rovonia and into exile.

Nikolai Trasu then goes onto the balcony of the Presidential Palace to proclaim the supremecy of the CPR in the Rovonian nation and the birth of a new socialist Rovonia.

While we are saddened that the FDM did not prove to be as effective a legislative body as we hoped, we are not opposed to communist governments. So long as you remain fair and just in your treatment of the Rovonian people, we will have no qualms with you whatsoever. We hope you bring stability, freedom, and happiness to the Rovonian people.

We too are willing to engage in diplomatic talks with you regarding the annexed territories; let it never be said that we are not a diplomatic nation! We, like you, prefer diplomacy and peaceful resolution to armed conflict.

Now, regarding the annexed territories. As you are no doubt aware, the province of Frieden, renamed Coragem, voted in favor of becoming a Halberdgardian province. We have spent the time since then rebuilding the area, and it appears to be much better off than the areas formerly under FDM control. We are worried that an immediate turnover of the province to your control will destabilize it, as the areas currently under your control have yet to be stabilized. This is not what we would like to see for the people of Coragem.

Therefore, we propose a time-elapsed deal, whereby we will turn over control of the province to your government after a set number of years. The intervening years would give you a chance to bring order and stability to the areas currently under your control and prepare yourself for the administration of additional areas. We propose a five-year time-elapsed deal, which can be extended if we feel that you need more time to further stabilize your current areas. Upon reaching this time limit, the majority of Halberdgardian troops will leave, leaving only small detachments behind to assist in security matters (if you so wish). Halberdgardian corporations in the area, however, reserve the right to maintain their holdings in Coragem.

Terrorism Strikes Coragem

BRAVURA, CORAGEM--Tragedy struck at the hearts of the citizens of Coragem late this afternoon as an act of terrorism shattered the peace.

A car bomb slammed into a governmental office, used by Halberdgardian administrators, in the capitol of Coragem today, ripping the building apart in a powerful explosion that killed an estimated two dozen Halberdgardians and another fifteen civilians on the street.

Witnesses said the explosion was terrifying to behold.

"I was walking down the street with my family when I saw a small truck fly down the street in front of us and slam right into the front of the building," said Hans, who asked that his last name not be revealed. "The next thing I knew, this incredible fireball was erupting no less than 30 yards in front of me. It was one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed in my entire life."

Military police were deployed to site to maintain order and begin forensics analysis. Initial reports suggest that the truck was loaded with at least 100 kilograms of what appeared to be C4.

No one has yet taken responsibility for the attack, though an anonymous government official said it bears the hallmarks of a Global Jihad suicide bombing. The official suggested that it was "plausible" that Global Jihad was the group responsible for the attack.

As a result of the attack, Halberdgardian troop deployment to Coragem is due to increase to 25,000 men, up from 15,000, as well as "significant" air and armor support. Additionally, Coragem's borders have been locked down, with a temporary restriction on all travel in and out of the province in place.

LNNN Breaking News Report:

...in that area of Halberdgardia, and in a breaking news report a similar bomb went off at a Wasser province checkpoint in Rovonia, killing the entire checkpoint crew. A nearby scout car said a whitish truck slammed into the electric fencing and as personnel ran toward it it exploded. In responce Leafanistan increases its military presense in the area by 20,000 more regular Army and Marine units.

No attacks in the McKagan Province (i forgot the name, stupid me) have been reported yet. Several border checkpoints have been put in place and Sierra Force operatives have been raiding homes and suspected bases, with no results thus far.

An amphibious assault fleet with 3000 more men and armor support has been reported to have arrived in Saharistan and may be preparing to take on 2000 more men to conduct an amphibious landing on the beaches of Rovonia.

While this has been going on we have confirmed that the battlecruiser Slither has lauched multiple recon missions from it's Adams support platform.

OOC: I'm PMT. I use small (semi-small, anyway) ships that sit in orbit. It's not very advanced, and really just another way to deliver nukes, other than a railgun system. Which is basically a nuke without radiation. :p

Well my orbital system isn't anything an MT nation couldn't build if they wanted to. At least in the capacity I use them.

Sure, they are capable of breaking orbit and going to the other systems we base our Terran military from, but it's not a big asset that way.

That's 90 ships. I've got a homegrown fleet of about the same numbers (slightly less) that has the technical stuff of the fleet, and those ships he's selling are quite nice, too.

I decided to change my purchase from Leafanistan to 40 Frigates and 20 Destroyers, i've basically bought a whole new Navy from him today, on top of the one I already had.

The leader of Basque Spain, Wolfgang Rico has decided to send 5000 troops to the wartorn nation of Rovonia, they will be there to help out the current government tas a policing force and help with the interrigation of communist prisioners.

It has been 10 months since the Global Jihad terrorist attacks on the Rovonian capital city which killed 18 million people and the assination of the entire Rovonian Nazi government, causing the whole governmental structure to collapse.

The Free Democratic Movement (FDM) had taken over the running of the Rovonian nation, but it's record has been at best poor!

Parts of the Rovonian nation have been taken by foreign powers like Halberdgardia, McKagan and Leafanistan and other nations have put severe restrictions on the sovereignty of Rovonia, trying to curtail Rovonia's right to it's own defence policy and Rovovnia has seen other nations interfere in it's internal affairs at will, with the FDM powerless to do anything about it.

On the domestic front, the situation was no better!

Illiteracy is rife, hunger and poverty are the norm for most Rovonians and shanty towns now scatter the major cities of Rovonia. Crime is out of control and the streets are no go areas for people at night, as criminal gangs, drug dealers and muggers claim the streets as theirs hwne the sun sets.

After being welcomed by most Rovonians as a positive change from the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior, the FDM government was now VERY UNPOPULAR.

Daily street demonstrations against foreign imperialism, poverty and the incompetent FDM government were now taking place.

The main opposititon to the FDM government is the Communist Party of Rovonia (CPR), led by the charismatic ex-teacher Nikolai Trasu.

The CPR was the only party to have been active in opposition to the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior and because of this, many Rovonians have a large degree of respect for the CPR and Trasu.

At first the Rovonians were willing to give the FDM a chance, but it's time in government has swayed the Rovonian people way from the FDM.

After two weeks of large demonstrations and a general strike that has but all put the Rovonian economy, what was left of it, to a halt, the FDM ruling council has resigned from office.

All government ministers, the transitional President have resigned their offices.

The ruling council of the FDM passes a resolution to dissolve itself as a party, seeing that it can no longer play any constructive role in the future of Rovonia.

Within hours of the collapse of the FDM government, CPR activists occupy all government buildings and the Presidential Palace.

The ex-leaders of the FDM fly out of Rovonia and into exile.

Nikolai Trasu then goes onto the balcony of the Presidential Palace to proclaim the supremecy of the CPR in the Rovonian nation and the birth of a new socialist Rovonia.

On top of that, do we have communist prisoners? We're helping the communist's rebuild the economy and protecting their merchants with our navy.

As for "prisoners," there are none. We never went to war with Rovonia, and we're actually helping the new communist government rebuild the country after suffering a massive chemical-weapons strike on their capitol. So, Basque Spain, your troops are appreciated, but not needed.

I had the same problem earlier, mostly with my domestic products though. I just decided to cease production on everything but my new class of shallow water amphibious destroyer i've been telling you about at every chance. :D

2 Helicopter Carriers arrive off the coast of the new naval station that is being built. Along with support from an Izzy Class destroyer and several supply ship they begin moving material ashore for a series of 30 border checkpoints and a large metal fense to link them, as well as 250 more Marines. Headed from Saharistan is a large transport ship that will supply the helicopter carriers with attack helicopters and remove most of their large and bulky transport helo's.

A new fleet, the 13th Destroyer Wing, has been assigned to Mir as well, and is either off the coast a short ways, spread out on search and control missions to support the war on Global Jihad, or is in the shipping lane at this end of the Merchants transport area.

And for the 5th Fleet, the Fleet is based around the 5 capital ships, 2 battleships, and 3 supercarriers, each has its own support wing, which can number up to 100 ships, that number is flexible (20-100), depending on how many captial ships we are deploying. And we tend to man ships with slightly over skeleton crews because I've been raising them since they were children to be uber-soldiers. So far I'm going to base half the 5th fleet, 2 super carriers and 1 battleship in Leafanistani Wasser and an undisclosed number of support ships. It'll be a while (4-7 NS years).

The borders of Coragem received a major boost today when 25 Leafanistani-made Instant Border Checkpoints were established across the border, effectively covering the entire border area and preventing any "undesirables" (namely, terrorists) from entering. Supplementing this is a Halberdgardian Army Detachment of approximately 25,000 men, about 100 M-175 "Hellhound" tanks, and an unspecified number of bombers and fighters.

It has been 10 months since the Global Jihad terrorist attacks on the Rovonian capital city which killed 18 million people and the assination of the entire Rovonian Nazi government, causing the whole governmental structure to collapse.

The Free Democratic Movement (FDM) had taken over the running of the Rovonian nation, but it's record has been at best poor!

Parts of the Rovonian nation have been taken by foreign powers like Halberdgardia, McKagan and Leafanistan and other nations have put severe restrictions on the sovereignty of Rovonia, trying to curtail Rovonia's right to it's own defence policy and Rovovnia has seen other nations interfere in it's internal affairs at will, with the FDM powerless to do anything about it.

On the domestic front, the situation was no better!

Illiteracy is rife, hunger and poverty are the norm for most Rovonians and shanty towns now scatter the major cities of Rovonia. Crime is out of control and the streets are no go areas for people at night, as criminal gangs, drug dealers and muggers claim the streets as theirs hwne the sun sets.

After being welcomed by most Rovonians as a positive change from the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior, the FDM government was now VERY UNPOPULAR.

Daily street demonstrations against foreign imperialism, poverty and the incompetent FDM government were now taking place.

The main opposititon to the FDM government is the Communist Party of Rovonia (CPR), led by the charismatic ex-teacher Nikolai Trasu.

The CPR was the only party to have been active in opposition to the old Nazi regime of Voltan Dior and because of this, many Rovonians have a large degree of respect for the CPR and Trasu.

At first the Rovonians were willing to give the FDM a chance, but it's time in government has swayed the Rovonian people way from the FDM.

After two weeks of large demonstrations and a general strike that has but all put the Rovonian economy, what was left of it, to a halt, the FDM ruling council has resigned from office.

All government ministers, the transitional President have resigned their offices.

The ruling council of the FDM passes a resolution to dissolve itself as a party, seeing that it can no longer play any constructive role in the future of Rovonia.

Within hours of the collapse of the FDM government, CPR activists occupy all government buildings and the Presidential Palace.

The ex-leaders of the FDM fly out of Rovonia and into exile.

Nikolai Trasu then goes onto the balcony of the Presidential Palace to proclaim the supremecy of the CPR in the Rovonian nation and the birth of a new socialist Rovonia.

We could say that a large naval port/city (both, preferably) gets a zombie virus unleashed into it by Global Jihad, I can have a ship trapped in the harbor and such. I don't want a sweeping invasion or bombing to kill them all, though.

"... And the security of Mir has been boosted considerably today. Engineer's from the RMA completeted the extremly expensive project of putting 15 highly computerized border checkpoints in place.

Each one has 5 Downs Class APC's and in upwards of 30 Transport trucks and security response vehicles (SRV's)

The project was rushed into production after the terrorist attacks in the other two provinces. There currently exists no land route into the nation without crossing an electric fence, and no water route without braving a contingent of RMC (Marines) Coast Guard elements that arrived aboard the Amphibious Assault Destroyer last night.
