THE IMPERIUM:

The Chronosian Imperium; long called the domain of daemons, devils and sadists. A realm encompassing countless systems, and billions of subjects. Yet amongst this dark domain, there are still identifyign features of civilisation and indeed humanity. Ruled over by a Daemon Emperor; the transformed body of Marcus De Drakan (Yet possessing his memories, mind and intelligence), the Chronosian people worship him as a God. Legends speak of the days before the glorious fall, when he was mortal, yet more powerful than any other man who walked Chronosia. He created his Primarch sons, the originals, from his own flesh...

Remiel De Drakan; Lord of the Inquisition, and now Dark Servant of Slaanesh. Lucian, Blessed of Nurgle. Cabot, chosen of the Blood God, Khorne. Gabriel, servant of the Undivided. Chronos, Lord of the Sith, and disciple of Tzeentch.

Chronos, in time, would betray his Empire, fleeing to join the Sith proper; he was in turn replaced by Severino Jeriacor; Sorcerous Primarch of the Imperium; loyal only to Tzeentch.

The Chronosian's do not, as some would comment, worship Daemons. Daemons are lesser forms when compared to the Four Ruinous Gods of Chaos. Instead, Daemon's serve as a means to an end. A true servant of the God's might attain Daemonhood; but is still lesser than the Emperor, and the Emperor is lesser than the God's. It is this heirarchy that has served to show the Chronosian's that Daemons are tools.

The Completed Ordo Chronosia stands as thus;

The Gods of Chaos

The Daemon Emperor

The Primarchs

The Imperial Inquisition

The Adeptus Astartes

The Imperial Guard

The Chronosian People

Daemons.

While each of these segments holds their own internal heirarchy; it is clear that the heirarchy of Chronosia is built upon war; with the Imperial armies loyal entirely to their Primarch's and Emperor. Above the established Military, however, is the Inquisition, which can, in its holy authority, command anything from an entire world to a Space Marine or Imperial Guard Regiment.

The other faction of the Imperium, the Adeptus Mechanicus are not included upon this heirarchy, as they serve the Machine God; with their own rituals and customs, which are not part of the Imperial Cult.

More details on internal factions of the Imperium shall follow.

At this point, are there any questions?

The Chronosian Imperium is now purified by Chaos. The ways of the Dark Side were largely abandoned with the betrayal of the Sith Lord Chronos, and the defection of the entire Legion to join the combiend forces of Unified Sith and the Dark Lady, Nightshade. It is currently believed that this army is under the control of Nightshade; the fate of Chronos, is unknown. However, rumors persist that before, and indeed during, his defection he was privy to the secrets of Drummond Kaas and the Valley of the Jedi

And Corpsac claims Korriban, but records indicate that Chronos was there, and brought his black army with him. Under the protection of the Sith, there is little the Imperium can do to hunt the traitor (Declared, with his entire chapter Hereticus Diabolis).

When a mortal attains daemonhood, do they become lower like most daemons or do they retain their status? Just curious.

When a mortal attains Daemonhood, it is through service and devotion to the God's themselves. When, and if, the Primarch's attain Daemonhood, they shall be glorified as the purified children of the Gods. Should a Marine attain such an honor, they are granted command of their own Company.

Pure Daemons, of the Warp, are below them; yet Daemon Princes, of the kind from men who attain Daemonhood, are exalted, as are Daemonhosts.

Most Daemons do not respect our disregard for their kind, but we further their ends and our own. Thus sometimes, especially in binding daemons, they must be fought and tamed. Rather like beasts in old Earth.

What is the difference between Chronosian Daemons and earths Youkai?
Chronosia

What is the difference between Chronosian Daemons and earths Youkai?

Chronosian Daemons do not correspond to any Earth notions of 'Hell' or purgatory. Instead they are extra-dimensional. Daemons dwell in Warp space, a realm parallel to the Material World. This 'Immaterium' is used by Chronosians for FTL travel, and is also home to Daemons, as well as the Gods; though none have seen the Gods.

Daemons are thus summoned forth from the warp, or exist naturally at places of warp/real space overlap. Feral worlds are often home to Chaos cults, but even the most civilised world can hold a seething web of corruption, hidden within. It is cults such as these which worship the Gods and Daemons of the warp, and eventually draw forth Daemons into our world.

DISCORD
ACCESSING: STRUCTURE; CROSSREF: ORDER

The Chronosian Imperium is divided into several factions; from the Lords of Chronosia who advise the Emperor; to his Primarch sons; to their Space Marine Legions and beyond.

The Ruling Class:

The first addressed would have to be the ruling class. The Emperor is the keystone, the foundation; while being advised by the rulers of different factors of the Imperium; the High Lords. These consist of...

The Fabricator General of Hydran; Lord of the Mechanicus.
The Ecclesiarch; Lord of the Ecclesiarchy
The Inquisitor General; Lord of the Inquisition.
The Warmaster; Master of all the Emperor's armies.

The Rank of Inquisitor General and Warmaster are at this time, both held by Remiel De Drakan, son of the emperor.

The Primarch's are the next tier; Remiel, Lucian, Cabot, Severino and Gabriel.

The Legions:

From the Primarch's gene-seed, the Chronosian Legion's were formed. these Space Marines are zealous, loyal and determined, the foremost fighting force of the Imperium.

Remiel rules the Nelo Angelus legion.

Lucian commands the Envenomed Fang

Cabot commands Wolfsbane

Gabriel commands the Ascendant Daemons.

Severino commands the Black Fist.

Imperial Guard units are classed according to the planet they come from, the role they play and the division of their unit.

THE ASTARTES:

Chronosian Space Marines are chosen from the denizens of countless worlds throughout the Emperor's domain. Once chosen, they are taken the the Chapter's fortress monastaries and trained, tested and eventually, enhanced. A ritual of brutal surgical, psychological and genetic manipulation commences, following which the Space Marine is no longer truly human, but superhuman.

The Nelo Angelus, Black Angel's, Legion, chooses its warriors as beings already beautiful, modifying them to almost supernatural beauty in the quest for perfection. The geneseed of Remiel is entirely unaltered, very few of his marines suffering from mutation. This extremely stable bloodline, is regarded as the heir to the throne of the Imperium.

The Envenomed Fang is riddled with corruption. Countless of its members have succumbed to disfiguring disease and degradation in the pursuit of Nurgle. These warriors fight with insane and brutal zeal, often to the death, for the end holds no surprise to those who have drunk willingly from the Master of Diseases' chalice.

Wolfsbane are an insane breed; a legion entirely loyal to Khorne, they follow their Lord Cabot into battle with unholy fury, bringing death to those they meet and taking countless skulls for the Blood God. Forsaking much long range weaponry for the joys of brutal close combat, they adorn themselves in spikes and even human flesh, better to intimidate their foes.

The Ascendant Daemons are an all around fighting legion, swearing allegience to no one single god. Instead they are an active force in the spread of the Emperor's word. They constitute a major part of the Chronosian Exploratory and Diplomatic Corps. They fight with a steely resolve, determined to get the job done, no matter what the material cost...

The Black Hand, an enigma amongst the Legions. The original Black Hand defected and the new one was engineered pure, modified for a maximum of Psyker expression. Thus, many of the legion are Sorceror's, born of Severino's new geneseed. These black scryers seek to discover all forms of magick and chaos; delving into alchemy, arcanum and other forbidden arts. They are the primary summoners of Daemons, though the art has spread, with Sorcerors, throughout the Legions...

The Second Founding

The Black Crusade has yielded the first of Chronosia's foreign geneseed; that belonging to the Grey Knights of the Inquisition. The Battle of Baal had yielded two more; the Dark Wolves of Reken, and the Blood Angels of the old Imperium were inducted into the Imperium.

Experimentation followed; brutal and barbaric proceedures upon men. The geneseed was pure; powerful; and used in this form, while others were altered, changed, corrupted... Three Legions resulted from this experiment.

The Rabid Seraphim; a ferocious and bloody chapter dedicated to Khorne and led by Radu Vykos. They originate from the Dark Wolves geneseed and are in the process of being strenghtened.

The Black Order; Formed of the Grey Knights, led by the traitor Archon Lash; he fights to eradicate heresy to the Chronosian Order; and to purge his former brethern from the stars. Cold, cunning, ruthless; this Undivided Legion focus on subtly in war, rather than full on assaults; though they can do the latter.

The Blood Furies; Angels of Revenge; these great bloodthirsty warriors gorge themselves on the flesh and blood of their enemies; the product of manipulating the Blood Angels geneseed; they shall serve as the vanguard of the new Order; peerless warriors of bloodshed, brutality and Death.

Your populus, they can't all agree with what the Gods of Chaos do, or what you do for that matter. Therefore how is it that you could control them against their will without killing them, which would result in more outbursts against you, which might erupt into revolution.

One other question is, your daemon hosts, they take the bodies of men, but what happens to the souls of these men? Do they go to the warp to replace the daemon spirit that now lives within their body?

What is the goal of the Imperium

The goal of the Imperium is to spread the glorious vision of the Dark Gods; to bring the glorious warplight of Chaos to all who would know it; to bring humanity under the rule of a new order; where they serve the instincts that make the Gods glorious....

What about the Mechanization of Chronosia?

The Adeptus Mechanicus manage all matters of technology within Chronosia; their leader, the Fabricator General, has a permanant place upon the council that are the High Lords of Chronosia. The Mechanicus manage the will of the Machine Spirits, and worship the Machine God. One recent breakthrough is 'Discord' the AI of Chronosia, a literal Machine Spirit which has attained near godlike worship throughout the Mechanicus.

The Republic is fascinated by this influx of information on our quite neutral neighbour, and would like to know more. But I myself have a question.

Many citizens of Chronosia worship the gods, being members of various cults and organisations, dedicated to one or more Gods. Others join the Mechanicus, seeking out Technology and advancing the will of the Machine God. Those who do not worship the gods are often inducted into Imperial Guard combat groups, or allowed to redeem themselves through fighting in the Penal Legions, or gladiatorial combat.

Daemonhosts are marked with special runes and symbols; including the mark of voiding. This destroys the host souls, and replaces its being with the Daemon. Rather that than have the Daemon and host intermingled. No one wishes a schizophrenic soldier...

Chronosia
03-08-2005, 00:08
If they wish to leave, so be it. You will find there are many rogue traders and such that operate outside of the Imperium. Though our power is central; many choose to live other lives; it is the will of the Gods. Those that are...abherrant, however; are made to redeem themselves.

Chronosia
20-09-2005, 03:28
The Imperium recognises no other gods than the Ruinous Powers. All other gods are either foolish theoretical concepts, or minor Warp Entities. The tearing apart of Khaine, and the destruction of other Eldar Gods by Slaanesh, is testament to the falsehood and weakness of the Eldar Gods. Likewise, the Necron's C'tan Masters, are simply powerful beings. Both the Eldar and the Necrontyr were simply foolish enough to equate power with divinity...

What does the Imperium say chaos is?
Chronosia
20-09-2005, 03:33
Chaos is the Warp; Chaos is power. Chaos is War, Pestilence, Decadance, Indulgence, Progress, Change, Death...Chaos is Khorne, Blood God. Chaos is Nurgle; Master of Disease. Chaos is Tzeentch, the Changer of Ways. And Chaos is Slaanesh, Dark Lord of Pleasure and Pain. Chaos is madness and disorder. Chaos is perfection and lust.

Chaos exists in the hearts of all, and is fuelled by their very emotions. That is Chaos.

The Imperium has no reason to believe that any other Gods but its own are the true Gods. To voice such thoughts is to enact Heresy. The IMperium has seen no proof of other gods; merely sorcerors and psykers using their power and calling it faith; or the Force.

Many are given the chance to live as Imperial citizens, free to live average lifes in service to the Emperor and the Gods. Integration is far more important than alienation.
