Terrasa's Star ((Open Into RP))
Thump
The Sound of a body hitting the deck was heard. Imithral sighed, getting his feet and once more taking the combat stance. Just as he heard the word "begin" he knew he had lost again, the Jel'Kia in front of him had move so swiftly the normal human reflexes couldn't react. His feet came out from under him. But as he fell to the deck, the strong hands grabbed his arm, pulling him to his feet.
"Well fought Imithral" The Jel'Kia said. "I was expecting you to fall quite quickly, but your fights provided intrest."
"Intrest?" Imithral smiled. "I fought the best I could and you thrashed me in five seconds Meq, how is this Intrest?"
"Because youngling, your a true human, where as I am a Jel'Kia. Both of us Searve the God-Emperor in our own ways." He laughed. "My way is by killing things, yours is by cleaning up the mess"
Imithral laughed, looking at the Warrior before him. Meq was taller by at least a foot, and his body was heavily muscled. He had short blond hair, and one green and one blue eyes. Had anyone seen him, they would never know he was a fighter, unless they faced him on the feild. Despite that, he wore monk robes of deep blue, and he looked like a monk of the Faith, not the Perfect form of human fighting.
"Well Imithral, up for another few rounds?"
"Ah no thanks Meq, I have to get ready for the launch."
"Ah yes, I to, I shall see you there my friend."
"Are the romours of the Emperor himself attending the Ceramonies to be true?" The officer asked.
"I myself am not sure my brother." Came the reply. "We shall see, now I must leave you." With that he turned and headed towards the red decked halls. Imithral nodded, and he two turned, heading down the Green hallway.
Thus it was the two most powerful men in the Terrasan Armed forces parted. Imithral, Supream High General, and Master Meq, leader of the Jel'Kia battle monks. They readied for the Ceremony later that day, the launching of the Terrasa Star.
Seven Hours later, Orbital Facillity Herpies
Meq smiled, his body encased in the Power Armour of his Order. He stood on the Temple Deck of the Terrasa Star. He was wired into the ship, for his own reasons he wanted to be part of the Network when the computer went online. He smiled to himself, this would be the Day Supream High General Imithral gained command of the first Warship in the nation. While Faster then Light Engines had been known of, they had never been implimented in a Warship, well, not an Imperial one anyway. He smiled as his mind connected with the ships computer, and then began the sequence.
He smiled as he felt the ship go online, and when he felt the presance, he could barly belive it. There, on the Deck overseeing the Terrasa Star Stood the Emperor, wearing his full Body armour. Meq gasped, and lost control of the computer for a split second. Thats when it happened, his mind, every memory, all the knowlage and personality in it, was placed onto the ships computers, while his brain was burnt to a crisp. In effect, he was no longer within his body, but was the commanding Computer unit on the ship.
"My people!" The Emperors voice came, impressive considering it made the babble of the entire crowd defended. "Humanity is entering a new age. My chosen, Meq, has become one with the Ships computer." Meq felt shocked the emperor knew, then guessed it had been the Mans design. He smiled, he had done as his father wished. "Supream High General Imithral is being striped of this tital, and from this day will be known as Lord commander of the Terrasa Star. Thus these two brothers in all but name will now be brothers in arms. Now, May the first true Faster then light Capable Warship leave the docks, let our craft be evident in this universe." He nodded, and with that he left.
Imithral looked stunned, Meq was the Ships main computer program? That was almost as if he was now commander of his best friend. Immidietly he smiled, the Emperor was wise in this choice. He didn't know how, but the Emperor had manouvered things for this to happen, he had a hunch that their friendship had all been part of the Devine Plan. Nodding, he sat on the command chair.
"Meq?" He said, his voice thundering the question.
"Do not question Imithral, command." He heard the familiar voice resound throughout.
"Take us out Brother" He said, command in his tone.
"As you wish." Imithral smiled, the voice had a sarcastic tone to it, this would be a good arrangement.
Then he felt it, the hum of the engines as the ship began to lift off the massive space dock. Then it began, the craft exited the station. Its massive form, almost Ten Kilometres in length, began to exit the massive compound, and crowds cheered the ship into space.
A few moments later, the ship was out, and gliding through the space just outside the station. Presently, the craft was moving away from the Station, into more defencive space.
"Ok Meq, can you do the calculations for the jump? Or are you still as thick headed as before?"
"Done, would you like to jump Commander?"
"Jump" Came the order.
The Ship seemed to shudder, before a white sphere seemed to engulf it, starting at the front and eventually consuming the the engines...
And it arrived at the end of the system, almost in the same moment...it had worked.
Warcruiser Mekala, Deep Space Patrol Mission
Katar stood down on the commanding chair with a grinn on his face. This would trully be something important. The long range sensors, though at low resolution, still found a ship of unknown origin in a neighbour system making a jump. He would go down in history as one of the Alyt`s that made first contact with another species. He turned to the young pilot and ordered:
`Make the jump to hyperspace. Time on arrival?`
`One hour Alyt. Preparing for jump now...initialiazing hyperspace matrix...`
The one mile long warcruiser made the jump, entering the blue vortex of light that just opened and one hour later emerged back in normal space, only two hundred thousand clicks from the alien vessel.
`Impressive ship.`, said the Alyt, `Open a commlink.`
Alien vessel, I am Alyt Katar of the warcruiser Mekala, from the Calpian Empire. We come in peace, with wishes of opening diplomatic relations and learn more about your nation.

"We have compony." Meq's voice echoed across the ships decks.
"Really? What type?" Imithral said, shifting so he could get a good veiw.
"They seem to be some other nation, I am reciving a message." Their was a pause. "They want to talk."
"Are they Xenos?" Imithral asked.
"I am not quite sure, It would do me well to see them brother."
"If there Xenos, we need to be careful, I do not want to be sent on a crusade this early on our ships history."
"Do you wish the Xeno to exist in the God Emperors space?"
"No, but I don't want to kill children again anytime soon."
"Why? They are not anything less then Animals."
"Different Perspective I guess. I will kill them, but I don't enjoy it."
"But it is nessersary."
"I will take your word for it, compose a message back to them."
"Yes."
To your Esteemed Calpian Empire ship.
I am Meq, the Mind of the ship before you. We will recive you, should you be Xeno I am not willing to allow you to negotiate, however, I will not force tests. We are roughly willing, should you feel it nessersary.
Meq.

Meq.
Katar read the message, not quite sure what to make of it. He had no idea what they meant by Xeno, nor was he willing to be subject of tests. But still, this was his chance for first contact, and he was not willing to let it go so easily. He composed another message and sent it back to Meq.
Please explain the word Xeno to us. If you are not open to diplomatic talks we will leave. We do not wish to be a burden to you.
To the Calpian Empire.
Xeno means Not of the same people, we are humans, with a number of Jel'Kia, who are a Extention of humanity. We will talk with you, no matter your race, but we are sad to say humans would be prefered by our people, and the Church.
Meq
We are not humans, but we are similar in apearance. Please provide coordinates of your landing bay if you wish us to come to you.
ooc:

OOC Hm...you MIGHT get away with it, although it would be very hard to do...We shall see.
IC The coordients where sent, and Meq held his weapons in check. While he would have destroyed the Xeno's out of hand, he was still a searvent of the empire, and declaring war on the Xenos would not be intelligent, especially with the Empire just recovering from the Waking. He made a mental sigh as the ship readied to come nearer.
To the Calpian ships.
I will accept you, but be carful on our ship. My brothers may be more Fevrent then myself.
Meq
Katar stood up and ordered
`The chief of security and three minbari marines, come with me. They dont seem too friendly, so we`ll leave the Sentinels behind. We dont want them to think we are agressive. Send a message to Homeworld, detailing our encounter so far. Let them know where we are.`
He took a flyer, and fifteen minutes later he landed at the provided coordinates. Opening the door, the three marines exited first, followed by the two officers. Katar advanced in front of the team, and waited for someone to come to him.
The Hanger Doors Opened, and the brightly coloured Power Armoured bodies of Jel'Kia came striding out, their Bolters pointed upwards. Their where Ten of them, which move into position then turned inwards, facing eachother. Once they had, Imithral began to walk down the pathway, heading towards the Calpian's. When he arrived he sighed.
"I am sorry, I would offer you my hand, but there are those on these ships with connections to the Inquasition, and I would burn for being contaminated." he made a face. "Sometimes I think the church takes its powers to far, but this is immiterial. I am Imithral, Commander and brother of this ship." He paused, before looking at the form before him. "I bet that sounded strange didn't it? Well, the mind of the main computer, Meq, is a dear friend, brothers by Decree of the Emperor himself. But now, I belive you wish to talk?"

`Indeed. We have met humans before, even have about 20% of our population humans. We are the descendants of the Anla`Shok, the Rangers of the Interstellar Alliance. Though the minbari are dominant, we also have humans, narns and drazi among us. All working together for the good of the Empire. Do you wish to talk here or should we go somewhere else?`
Imithral nodded.
"There are rooms only Meq can see, and he works the Emperors will, not the will of the church." He nodded, and turned, the Jel'Kia stood in formation, not moving.
When they arrived in the Room, the Spartan nature of the ship was seen. The only comfortable looking apliance was the bed, and even that looked as if it could do better. Imithral sighed, looking regretfully at the Metal chairs.
"The ability to move faster then light and we still can't develoup a comforable chair." The ship seemed to shake, and Imithral smiled. "Don't be alarmed, Meq found that one particualry funny, its an ongoing joke, the Jel'Kia have worse conditions then this, the bare minimum, something about Poverty."
"Its the Vows of Poverty" Came Meq's voice.
"Yes what ever, anyway, sit, and if you can make yourself comfortable, tell me how, It gets so annoying living on these things."

The Probe detected patterened electron flow, radiation pulses of the communications flashed across its sensors. The datalink installation fired up, and the Mainframe was aware of the sensor data.
In the Terrasa system, a Class VI Survey Force appeared in normal space, with the goal of absorbing information. It resided in plain veiw, moving closer to the communicating Terrasan and Calpen ships.
Imithral nodded.
"There are rooms only Meq can see, and he works the Emperors will, not the will of the church." He nodded, and turned, the Jel'Kia stood in formation, not moving.

Katar stood down and smiled, thinking that this captain seemed more friendly then he first thought he would be.
`If you are bound to use these chairs then I`m afraid we can`t help make them more comfortable. If you are allowed to use others then we could replicate and beam on your ship a number of chairs that were originally designed to be used by humans. Now to our diplomatic talk captain if you will. Is there any chance for some sort of diplomatic agreements? Non-agression pact, trade agreement, exchange of medical data to maybe help deal with diseases and to be able to treat each other`s wounded if we ever come across one. Anything like that possible?`, asked Katar with a smile.
Imithral shook his head.
"Somehow the Inquisition think its good for us to sacrifice for the Emperor." Imithral rolled his eyes. "Hell, the Emperor isn't even the most powerful man out there. We used to be part of the Imperium of man, but during the Hersery we disconnected ourselves. We are the Lost Legion of the Jel'Kia. Diplomacy? I am not sure, medical assistance would be possible, if I could get Imperial Audiance without the Church getting in my way. I can promise you a non agression pact however." He smiled. "THis is the only warship in the Empire, and unless I choose to it is not going into your nation." His face went hard. "Or the Emperor commands. I am afraid any deals we make will only be implimented by my own people, But I can not make assurances that the Church or the Corperations will follow suit."
OOC ONI, I am still trying to work out my nations reaction to you, your unidentified Unmanned ship, and I don't know my reaction to that...
Imithral shook his head.
"Somehow the Inquisition think its good for us to sacrifice for the Emperor." Imithral rolled his eyes. "Hell, the Emperor isn't even the most powerful man out there. Katar thought for a moment and then bowed his head
`Then that will have to do. If your Church is seeking to confront us however, let her know, that despite the quality and power of this ship, they would still need to confront our entire fleet of two thousand ships and growing if they want a shot at us. A confrontation would not be advisable between us, and any attempt they make will not be tolerated. Last time we went to war, we almost destroyed an entire civilisation. I will make sure that no ship from the Empire will atack you, based on your word of a pact of non-agression. If that word should be broken, then all gloves are off. Is there anything else Captain?`
Imithral nodded, shifting.
"Then it is agreed, this ship will not attack your nation unless Orders come Directly from the Imperial Throne itself. Any ships with humans on them, and ONLY humans, may also trade with us." He looked around. "Now Sorry to be rude but Its would not do good for you to stay here, the more Zealous might feel that you need to be killed."
With that, he stood, and strode from the room.
He was on the bridge seconds later.
"Get those Inquisition ships ready to jump!" He roared. "The Bloody Xenos might leave soon, they need to be out of our Protection sphere before they jump, make an Indirector feild, We will need the Inquisition to hit OUTSIDE our ships range. NO mistakes!"
Meq had a smile hidden on his face, this was the Imithral he knew, ruthless. He took people offguard, then came and hit them hard. He made people trust him, using a mix of charm and Psykic power hidden in his voice, before betraying them. The Emperors most powerful searvent, Meq Belived.
Katar went back to his ship, with a nagging feeling that something wasnt exactly right here. Ten minutes later onboard the ship, he started giving orders.
`Ayala, send another message to Central Command and let them know how things went so far. And take us away from this area, and prepare to jump as soon as we are clear.`
The ship cleared the area, and started moving fast out of the system.

On the Very edge of the Terrasa Star's weapon range, a number of "Pirate" Vessels ended their jump. Within a few moments, the ships where combat ready. They waited for a few moments as the Calpian ship came into range, a halfway point between the Massive ships weapon range and FTL Feild. The Ships main lance Cannons glowed blue and then let loose a Blast of power. Heading directly towards the Calpian ship. The Beams would slice through the ship, because of sheer amount and power.
The Terrasa Star Began to move, trying to extend its sheilds to protect the Calpian ship. However, it would sadly not be able to arrive in time. Messages where sent to try and warn them, but it would be to no avail, the Calpians where by themselves, in an FTLi sheild.
Pitty for them Imithral thought gleely to himself.
As the Whitestar advanced towards the jumping point, Alyt Katar was going over the last encounter. These aliens didnt seem very friendly, and he felt some dissapointment at the thought that the captain left too quickly for him to reply to his last message. Non-agression agreement with only one ship, not with the entire nation, would meen nothing to the Grey Council. If conflict should appear, that ship wouldnt be spared. A startled scream put an end to his thoughts, and as he turned his eyes to the screen, saw something that projected him upwards immediately.
`All hands to battlestations.`, said, and turning to the communications officer continued, `and send a message to Central Command, we are under atack`
The short message of distress was sent, but nothing else, as the Whitestar was hit, and destroyed on impact.
3 hours later
A blue vortex of light opened, tearing through the fabric of space, letting loose a squadron of Whitestars, eight capital ships in total. A message was sent to the Terrasa Star uppon arrival.
We have received a distress call from one of our Whitestars, scouting this sector. We can see the debris from its destruction. Explain.
Imihral nodded, his hands dashing over the main control system.
"I am saddened to say a force of pirates exited space just outside of our range. Your ship was saddly within space of their cannons, and was destroyed. We have taken the matter into our own hands, we are presently chasing down the remains of the enemy ships." There was a hint of humour in his voice. "We have made them rue this day, by the time their beams had fired we had already torpedos launched. They where crushed, I am sending the coordinets of the remaining ships to you now, you may do the honours."
The squadron turned without a word, and headed for the coordinates received.
`Shai Alyt, we got three vessels on scanners. Seems they were hiding behind the planet.`
`I see. Order the fleet to engage them, all power to the main cannon, and fire long bursts.`
The ships moved in, and fired their main cannons when in range. The battle didnt take long, with the pirates having no chance to win this one. Two or three Whitestars concentrated on each of the ships, moving fast and concentrating fire on the enemies. With engines soon down, followed the weapons and then they were gone. One by one, the pirates were destroyed, and in ten minutes it was all over. Few prisoners were taken, but those were interrogated, and soon new facts came to light.
The Whitestar squadron turned around, and headed for the Terrasa Star, aproaching with shields up and weapons ready. When they got in range they sent a message and took position in an atack patern.
The prisoners we took are part of one of the fleets from your homeplanet. Same species, similar technology and their confessions. This will be considered an act of war unless explained.
Imithral swore to himself, his mind realying thoughts. The CHURCH got prisioners taken? That had never happened before. Then he corrected himself, that is because the Church had always had the Emperor or Lord High Terrasa's Backing, this time they only had his own. He thought for a moment, then began to speak.
"Meq"
"I hear you brother"
"The Xen..."
"I told you the message, I know brother."
"What to do? We can't fight a war. Our fleets are not prepared."
"Simple brother, it will take but one burst of..."
"No, we may require to find a scapegoat."
"Emperor coming online."
"Oh shi...Hello Your Imperialness."
"Yes, hello Imithral. You made mistakes, but these will be redeemed. You have the man guilty of orginizing this plot is here. Please direct these people to take them off our hands"
"Yes master." Imithral concealed a smile, and began his message.
"We are sorry, this took a few moments inquiery. The Lord Inquisitor Hoth has felt it apon his authority to take matters into his own hands. The man has a hatred for Xeno's, thus we will do what is nessersary. You may come to our home world to collect him. We are sorry for the inconvinence, but we presently have no ships we trust to bring him here." He paused, before speaking. "We will take steps to halt church authority, we are sorry for the loss of life, we hope it has been redeemed."
Understood. We will take him, and hope these incidents will be avoided in the future. Whitestar squadron out.
The reply came, and the squadron moved inside the system, towards the indicated planet. Once in orbit they asked for coordinates of the prisoner, and waited to beam him up.
