If you are not a member of CAD, The WWA, or have not been properly invited, please do not post in this thread. For all those in concern, this is the continuance of another thread that was destroyed by noobs. Thank you.

SECRET IC:

Presidential Palace; Shelbin, Jarridia

The President and his closest cabinet members sat within the confines of his office. Jarrod sat behind his oak desk, to his right was Secretary of State, Kim Shaffer, and the Secretary of Defense, Keithan Weaver. To his left sat, Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Eric Johnson, and the Director of the JIA, Zach Finger.

President Branam spoke calmly, "ViZion has mobilized her military to its full extent, including the entirety of the nuclear arsenal. We, of course, do not see this as a threat. ViZion has long since been our ally, and we must begin taking steps to insure that its security is not tampered with." Jarrod looked around the room, and then continued, "Zach, what information can you tell us about the current, escalating crisis?"

Mr. Finger looked up from his briefcase and quickly began to explain what his opinion in the matter was, "I believe this matter involves the most belligerent members of CAD and other alliances. If only we had more information. Perhaps sending some sort of envoy to Generic Empire, or Doomin..." He was suddenly interrupted by Mr. Weaver.

"No envoy is going to gain us any information!" Kiethan exclaimed, "what we need is to survey the area whether they want us to or not. In fact, why even concern ourselves with the members of CAD? They are below our radar, and shouldn't be a concern to us anymore."

Kim looked at Kiethan quietly then spoke up, "our past dealings prove otherwise. What I propose, and I think you will all agree, is that we should watch Borman Empire for a while, to see what may turn up. This way, our actions can't be seen as military aggression. We would hate to instigate a crisis, that may not have any purpose whatsoever."

"That is a most excellent idea Kim," announced President Branam, "Keithan, mobilize a small portion of the navy to the area around Borman Empire. Get close enought o survey the incoming, and outgoing messages and watch the locations of their military, but stay far enough away so they will not feel threatened. We want to insure that we mean no harm to their lands."

"Yes sir, it will be done at once, " replied Keithan.

--------------------------

The plans were drawn, and the following military is being mobilized.

14,000 Marines

Navy
5,000 Men

2 Carriers
4 Battleships
10 Destroyers
8 Cruisers
12 Submarines

Air Force
2,000 Men

45 F-15
70 F-16
50 F-22

This force has been mobilized to a secret, undisclosed location off of the shore of Borman Empire. No military aggression is to be expected, for this is a peaceful mission. No embargo has been ordered, and no trade lines will be tied up due to this Mobilization. At current, peace reigns between these two nations.

Time until arrival: 1 rl hour

The ships cut silently through the still water of the night. Creeping ever closer and closer to the destination point near Borman Empire. Admiral Jonah McGee turned to his crew, and spoke calmly.

"We have almost reached our projection point. The dim lights on the horizon are the cities of Borman Empire. We should be on the full lookout, for we are in hostile waters. Beyond this area is the lands of Doomingsland and Generic Empire. Our surveillance should be accurate and quick, to avoid any sort of retaliatory actions by those two, or Borman Empire. We were given strict orders to only view and make no actions towards the populace, unless further instructed." The men nodded, and Jonah looked ahead again. "I want our first mission tonight. We will report and record all ground, air, and naval activites. If they're up to something, we'll find it. All of Jarridia is counting on us men. Let's not fail our home!"

They all disbanded, and the assignments were handed out among them. This first night, 50 jets were to take off. They were told to fly low, and avoid as much radar contact as possible and to make note of any suspicious activity, otherwise, they were not to enter any fully restricted airspace, but nothing had been noted on Borman Empire's files within the Jarridian National Library.

Around 3 a.m, the jets took off from their designated carriers, and approached the coast of Borman Empire, nothing had been seen so far, but the night was young. They cut through the night sky smoothly and quickly, barely leaving a mark. Drawing every closer to the dark, shrouded nation.

The fighters continued along their solemn path. Cutting through the moist night as the moon rested quietly over the ocean. They darted in and out of the low clouds, barely visible to the naked eye as they zoomed over head. They grew closer and closer to Bormanian airspace, each mile seeming to go by faster and faster. Upon reaching the slim outskirts of the Bormanian boundary, the pack split in half, twenty five headed towards the north, in the cold direction of Forge City, while the other 25 headed south along the coast line.

The jets formed into a line, one in front of the other, then arranged themselves at different levels in a diagonal, one above the either. This created a sweeping effect, as they raced along the Bormanian Airspace line. The moon still shown brightly, as mixed signals continued to fill the cockpits. The dim lights of the cities and towns moved by so quickly, it was difficult to tell an exact location, from a geographical standpoint.

The Northern Team finally reached Forge City, and recieved orders to continue towards New Freudian Territory. While the Southern team turned left around Borman Empire's peninsula, and made their way into the South Sea of Generia. The night was still young, as the jets whizzed by, just barely outside the Borman Empire Airspace.

OOC:Jarridia, shall we continue this in the main war thread, or continue here? In the meantime, I'll blow something up,

IC:

JSTARS Aircraft 'Mother Goose One'

Flight Lieutenant Octavius was tired. He'd been airborne for the past twenty-four hours, recieving roughly an hour of sleepless rest. For once, coffee mugs were allowed at the work stations. Better to get the screens wet then have an airman collapse on it unconcious. He leaned back in his chair, sipping his coffee, staring at his radar screen. There'd been little of interest the past shift, but according to intel, they'd be seeing something entering CAD waters momentarily.

Beep beep beep

As the radar waves bounced off of something, Octavius instantly snapped to full attention.

Right on schedual.

"Sir! Recieving radar contact, grid coordinates Alpha-five-niner, heading 019."

Octavius' superior, Colonel Gaesius, immediatly walked over and glanced at his screen.

"Right on time. Alright, I'm forwarding this to Crematoria. Good work, El-Tee."

"Thanks, sir."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jaridian vessels were, in fact, passing right through Doomingslandian waters. Not a good thing for them. They may have not known this, but Doomingsland claimed waters as far out as their land based anti-shipping missiles would reach: seven hundred naughtical miles. This, of course, wasn't easily enforced, and was more often than not ignored.

However, now that defensive forces were on full alert, anything straying within Imperial waters or even the waters of other CAD nations would be destroyed without warning. This particular incedent was playing right into the Emperor's hands. If this went the way he wanted, he would end up with a sizable group of foreign hostages and send a message to anyone seeking to oppose the CAD. That, and he'd get to test out some new toys.

The commander leading the mission to crush the Jarridian Navy, Commander Gaius Quintus, was very experienced in anti-shipping ops. He and his squadron of eleven other pilots would be granted a seemingly easy task: fly to the correct waypoint and press the big red button labeled 'FIRE'. That was all that was required of them.

The airfield tarmac was lit up by red strobe lights, making for an erie atmostphere. The air was filled with the sounds of engines starting, the shouts of the crew chiefs as they tried to get in last minute inspections. He walked along the pavement towards his B-3A Archangel medium bomber, which sat parked and fully loaded. He carried his helmet in his left hand, gripping the ladder that lead to the cockpit with his right.

This was a one-seater aircraft. Although it made the longer missions somewhat more boring, he liked having all of the controls of his bird at his command. He slid into the cockpit and strapped on his flight helmet, motioning for the crew chief to seal the canopy.

As he taxied, he went over the mission briefing. Jarridian naval vessels were passing through Imperial waters. He was to blow them up. Simple enough. Funny thing was, he'd never even heard of Jarridia before the briefing. He simply assumed it was another one of those human rights obsesed leftist nations that so plagued his homeland.

A quick salute to the control tower, and he was cleared for takeoff. As he pushed the throttle forward, the aircraft shot forward at incredible speed, putting him airborne in under ten seconds. And he was off.

As his airbase was located near the coast, he only had to fly for about thirty minutes to reach Waypoint Alpha. Now came the fun part,

"Hammer One, Hammer One, master arm engaging." he said calmly over the radio, confirming that he'd armed his AGM-250 Caesar anti-shipping missiles,

"Hammer One, you are cleared to launch the weapon," responded his control aircraft.

Thumbing the red switch located on his joystick, the bomb bay doors swung open, revealing four anti-shipping missiles. Four more hung on under wing pylons. Suddenly, the weapons detatched themselves and ignited their solid fuel rocket engines, lighting up the night sky around them. All around him, his squadron carried out the same process until the sky was filled with a swarm of deadly fireballs.

The ninety-six missiles shot across the sky at low altitude achieveing a velocity of mach three. They'd continue like this until they came within forty miles. It was then that the rocket engines would detatch, and the warheads would plumet to the ocean. It would then become evident that they were no longer missiles, but torpedoes. Magneto-hydrodynamic drives would kick in, pushing the torps to twenty-five knots.

Due to the fact the torpedoes were using MH drives, they would be virtualy silent, nearly impossible to pick up on sonar. They would home in on the sound of the enemy ships with passive sonar, and come within eight miles. Then the final attack stage would commence. The MH drives would detatch, and the supercavitating engines would kick in as well as active sonar. The torps would begin to supercavitate, pushing them to 100 knots, reaching their targets in a matter of minutes, giving little or no time for evasive maneuveres.

As the water was filled with all of the torpedoes, enough explosives were in place to destroy even a super dreadnought. The waters were now VERY dangerous, with nintey-six torpedoes with 600lb warheads streaking towards the enemy fleet at high speed...

OOC: Right now, we'll keep it here. I don't want to get overrun by ViZion and GE, if you know what I mean. That would overshadow this, 10 fold.

Now for the good part. By the way, good post Doom, I was hoping you'd take the first step.
:)

IC:

The ships sat quietly in the waters, all that could be heard was the gentle roar of the engines in neutral. Admiral McGee was standing in the bridge looking out over the dark waters, while the crew shuffled around behind him. All had been quiet since the fighters were making their way around the Bormanian Airspace. Suddenly, the computer screens flickered a bit, and the sound of beeps and whistles filled the room. McGee had dozed off a bit in the silence, when one of the crew yelled "ADMIRAL!" He whurled around where he stood and responded with, "What is it?"

The man answered, "Not sure but we have multiple incoming. Infact this half of the screen is almost full, and they are moving extremely fast."

The Admiral walked over to the screen and looked for a moment, then he suddenly snapped awake. He exclaimed with alarm, "Evasive action! We're under attack. Get all the jets in the air, and hurry!"

The alarms sprang to life, and soon the decks of the two carriers is crowded with men and jets, the tower cleared as many as possible to take off before the attack could be completed. The other ships within the fleet attempted to safeguard the carriers, in hopes of atleast sustaining damage to carry out the rest of the mission.

As jets began filling the air, it became purely evident that the cause may be lost. Immediately after a few moments had passed, the first casualty took place, the JSS Kasilyn, a Battleship, became engulfed in flames and quickly sank to its ultimate grave. The barrage continued until all that was left was 5 submarines, 1 cruiser, 1 destroyer and the two carriers. However the first carrier, the JSS Madison, had been severly damaged and was quickly following her fellow ships to the bottom of the sea.

Admiral McGee lifted his blood covered head up from his crouched position in the bridge of the JSS Austin. He looked at the other men starting to get up and shouted, "Radio the base, tell them what has happened. Send the jets that we have up in the direction the missiles came from. They are to attack anything any other jet they see in the skies, is that understood?"

The men nodded and quickly attempted to get the bridge fully online. They had no idea who had just attacked them, but they knew it wouldn't be the last.

------------------

The transmission of the attack finally reached the Jarridian city of Kiakor, and was then rushed to the President himself. President Branam was not at all shocked at the word of the attack and immediately called a meeting for the next action.

"Do we have any idea who is responsible for these attacks? Was it Borman Empire, or was it someone else?" he said with a calm yet urgent tone.

Mr. Weaver looked at him and responded, "All we know is that the missiles came from the direction of Doomingsland, and are aware that many of our fighters have quickly attempted to chase down any Doomingsland forces in the sky."

"Excellent," said Jarrod, "but we need more. I want a full run down on our history of Doomingsland, and I want more forces mobilized immediately. They will not get away with attacking us in friendly, international waters."

"Well sir, thats just the thing, "said Kim, the secretary of state, "It seems as if they weren't international waters at all. In fact, they were and extended portion of Doomingsland. SO we were trespassing on sovereign borders."

"That is no excuse," scoffed Jarrod, "we were unaware of that fact, and if it made them so unhappy, they could have sent a quick transmission. It is too late for this now. We must be ready. Put all of our homeland forces on high alert, and raise the alert to DA 3. We must remobilize the military to insure our victory in this new conflict."

"Of course sir!" responded Keithan proudly.

---------------------

OOC: Will mobilize in a moment. Burned myself on a pan. Also, was unaware that you and Borman claimed that much water distance. Sorry for that. Too late now though ;)

OOC:Thanks for the compliment, I liked your post too :)

IC:

The aircraft had quickly retreated from their firing position, kicking on their afterburners and accelerating to mach three, heading straight for home. This was easily fast enough to escape the horribly outdated Jarridian aircraft. Once they were over land, they dropped to low altitude and slowed down for their final approach. They were home free, more or less.

Of course, there was always the threat of the enemy fighters somehow catching up. Luckily, an air defense grid sat between them and the enemy air group.

Radar Station Charlie-Two-Two-Six

Corporal Junius, a reservist in the Imperial Army, had had a long and boring shift thus far. Of course, word had only recently reached him of possible hostiles approaching the coast. He simply sipped his coffee and waited for this immenant engagement. He wiped sweat from his brow, realizing how hot it was down in the bunker.

If only that f*ckin' fan would work... he though to himself before being interupted by the pinging of his radar console,

Looks like intel was right for a change.

"Sergeant!" he yelled to his superior in the next room.

"Yeah?"

"We've got multiple contacts, vector 030, they're coming within range of our Apostles."

He said that as he watched the screen. The sergeant was now looking over his shoulder, breathing heavily, to see if the corporal wasn't shitting him.

"Alright, then. We've already got authorization to fire. Good work, corporal."

And that was that. The sergeant disappeared into the next room, the launch control center, and relayed the information to the lieutenant in charge there.

The LT was in direct command of several VLS batteries of Apostle surface-to-air missiles, Angelus theatre surface to air missiles, and several batteries of M-171 low altitude air defense systems. All of this was centrally linked to the massive AMR-10G high powered milimetric wave radar that gave them radar coverage extending out to six hundred naughtical miles.

The command section was buried five miles inland, roughly fifty feet underground in a concealed bunker.

The VLS system was carefully concealed, the silo doors made to blend in with the desert sand. It was about to become apparent the desert wasn't as deserted as it appeared. Hydrolics crooned as the silo doors swung open, and a deafening roar occured as rocket engines ignited, sending one hundred missiles rocketing into the sky in under thirty seconds. This lit up the sky so much that it was later said that the nearest town, nearly 100 miles away, could see the distant fireballs amidst the stars, some mistaking them for UFOs. Those some were ordered to report to their nearest re-education center shortly thereafter.

Getting back to the topic on hand... Two hundred Apostle surface to air missiles streaked towards the enemy fighter formation, launching when the enemy was one hundred and twenty miles from the coast. They targetted everything, ranging from the aging F-15s to the newer F-22s (not even their stealthy features protected them from the high powered radar and other advanced systems).

The missiles would reach a velocity of mach four, maneuvering via 3D thrust vectoring and forward thrust nozzles, allowing for them to simply come back for another pass should they miss their target initialy. They would home in using data from the land based radar, but also data from a nearby AWACS. They would also use internal LIDAR, LADAR, and IR systems, making countermeasures virtualy useless.

In the meantime, the bombers would be rearming for another attack on the enemy navy...

"Sir. The Jarridian fleet in Doomingsland waters has come under attack, basically all sunk. Also, they have roughly 50 planes I believe on the outside of our airspace."

"You know what Bhalk said. Any vizion planes of planes of a nation allied to Vizion circling or outside of Borman controlled airspace are to be shot down without warning. But that is relatively recent news, they may not have heard of it. Radio those planes and tell them to get out or we will open fire. Also, prepare a small armada to go out and finish the Jarridian force, only after offering them the chance to leave."

Radio Transmission to Jarridian fighters:

You may or may not be aware, but we have orders to shoot down any planes allied to Vizion which come in immediate range, including outside of Borman controlled airspace without warning. You qualify as a target and can be shot down, we warn you now because you may not have heard. Leave now or be taken down.

Communique to Jarridian fleet:

Leave now or be sunk.

Out of one of the Seering Sister ports a small armada sailed out to finish off the wounded Jarridian force.

10 BG-68 Subs
2 Attila Class destroyers
2 Trailblazer class destroyers

At the Mattian air base several wings of F78s and B squared bombers began to take off, to assist sinking hte Jarridian fleet.

At other airbases by the Jarridian planes 125 F78s take off to make sure the Jarridian planes leave, weather they fly off, or drop down.

By now the sun was beginning to rise on the raging ocean beneath. The 70 jets that had survived the attack on the small Jarridian naval force stealthfully made their way towards the coast of Doomingsland. Darting out from behind eachother, and the clouds..they approached at full speed.

Doomingsland's accusations of the Jarridian fighters as being 'outdated' were false, for the fighters themselves had been modified and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment durring the Jarridian Military Renovation over the past few years.

As the jets continued forward, finally crossing over the coastline onto Doomingsland soil, the high commander, Mark Ilitson spoke to the men, "Remember, they are tricky in this land. Keep your eyes and ears open for the first sign of attack. If we remain vigilant, we can avoid their weapons."

The other pilots agreed, and soon their aim was set on a small sized city, of no more than 200,000. The formation increased in size and spread out to make sweeping the city that much easier. As they closed in, the alert bells rang in the cockpits of incoming enemy fire from the desert. The pilots quickly attempted evasive manuevers, however many were unsuccessful and the jets exploded in mid air. While others managed to make it through just enough to begin firing on known military hotspots and the industrial sector of the city. Smoke rose from the bombed areas, but no estamation on destruction at this time.

All in all, only 25 jets were able to be saved from the missile launch. The others had fallen to their deaths, but served Jarridia to their utmost. Back home, they will be saluted for their mighty valor in battle. May god have mercy on their souls.

----------------------

Back at the temporary naval site, the ships began to make way out of Doomingsland's waters. During the air raid, the naval base in Kiakor, Jarridia ordered all of the ships to return to Jarridia immediately. Once the jets had returned. They would soon be replaced with a much larger force, that was currently being prepped alongside Utcheeri and WWA Security Forces.

Together, the entire WWA would swarm Doomingsland. Attempteing to overwhelm even their best technology.

----------------------

Official Communication to Borman Empire

At this time, all Jarridian forces are being called back. We are sorry to have caused you worry on this investigational measure. The 50 jets we have encircling your airspace will now fall back to the air craft carrier awaiting them. Once again, do not fire upon these jets, or you will find yourself at the mercy of millions of angry Jarridians. Thank you.

Keithan Weaver
Secretary of Defense

OOC: SOrry for the delay....been extremely busy. Sorry Doomingsland, but I don't understand alot of the technological stuff you are talking about. Sorry if I make a mistake.

OOC:Well, basicly what I was trying to say was I had a high enough powered radar to detect your aircraft with relative ease. That coupled with the vast array of the missiles' own detection systems made escaping detection nearly impossible. Then the missiles themselves were actualy more maneuverable than your F-22s, as they utilize 3D thrust vectoring rather than 2D (as on the F-22). And finally, the majority of your aircraft would have three missiles tracking them at once, the remainder having two track them.

Plus any upgrades, unless they were MAJOR upgrades (also, if you could detail the upgrades, that would be very helpful), would have little effect. Wow, I forgot how much I hate making long OOC posts...

I'm not gonna bitch about your losses, but just keep that in mind the next time :)

IC:

City of Ferrium

The air raid sirens sounded as enemy aircraft swept across the skies. Almost instantly they were met by an insane barrage of missiles and anti-aircraft fire. The Jarridians were about to learn the first rule of Doomingslandian warfare: everyone's a combatant.

Civilians, after attending a class on aircraft recognition to assure they didn't accidentaly kill any Imperial aircraft, were eligable to own advanced shoulder launched surface to air missiles. As a result, many civilians, sitting on their roofs, a Python surface to air missile at their command, a beer in their free hand, let loose with a barrage of deadly IR and LIDAR guided missiles, which then accelerated to mach three, maneuvering via 3D thrust vectoring.

At such close ranges, the Jarridian aircraft had little hope of evading the missiles.

Then, to make matters even worse, were the military air defenses in the form of M-171 anti-aircraft batteries. These weapons, positioned on the building roofs, were equiped with seven-barreled thirty milimeter cannons along with medium range Pilum surface-to-air missiles and short range Python missiles. Their detection systems were some of the best in the world: LIDAR/LADAR systems, electro-optical tracking, infared mapping and tracking, milimetric wave radar. All of this was combined to plot the best possible fireing solution for the guns and aid in the guidance of the missiles.

Flying through the city to their targets was like running a deadly guantlet, alight with hundreds of missiles and thousands of 30mm high-explosive air bursting rounds.

As the enemy aircraft approached the wide-open industrial sector, the word 'vulnerability' would achieve a new meaning, as fifty such sights opened up with Python short range missiles and their 30mm cannons from seemingly every direction.

If they somehow survived that, they would once again have to run that firey guanlet they had to survive on their approach to target, then somehow escape the desert that had claimed so many of their comrades.

Of course, upon reaching the industrial sector, the surviving aircraft had a chance to shower the factories with rockets and cannon fire, ripping several buildings apart in mere seconds. The brilliant display of flame, smoke, and debris filled the sky as the factories collapsed in on themselves, burrying hundreds of workers- civilians - within their firey bowels. There was little hope for escape. Then came something even worse. Three massive smoke stacks, now without a base, slowly began to tip over. The massive brick towers began to slowly fall towards another factory complex, comparatively lightly damaged. That would soon change. As they tipped over more and more, they began to pick up speed. When they made contact with the factory roof, the factory was literally flattened. Secondary explosions began to occur rampantly, blowing the entire structure to bits, sending massive chunks of debris soaring through the air. This acted as shrapnel, raining down on onlookers, crushing many beneath their weight and velocity.

Onlookers stared on in horror as their friends and neighbors were burried alive in the very building material their workplaces were constructed of, and rage flowed through their veins. These infidels would pay...

Casualties would later be estimated at nearly 500 civilians and fifty military personel touring the factories.

OOC:Would you happen to have AIM or MSN? I'd love to include a plotline in this war. Also, how many pilots ejected over the desert (and over the city, for that matter)?

_________________________________________________________________

Once again, the bombers lifted off from the airbase, loaded with a fresh array of missiles. Colonel Quintus was having a field day. He couldn't wait to unload his next payload on the surviving infidel scum that attempted to flee the waters of his people. His children would have a host of new bedtime stories after today.

Of course, word came over the radio that there was a chance the Jarridian fleet would surrender. This wasn't very pleasing to him at all. He prefered to kill them to the last man.

As the bombers lifted off once more, a transmission was sent to the surviving Jarridian ships:

Attention unidentified vessels:
You have tresspassed in Imperial waters.
Power down your engines and surrender immediatly.
Failure to comply will result in your destruction.
This is your final warning.

A man clad in mechanic wear ran out of the airbase and to Farrow. He carried a satalite (SP?) phone in his hand.

"It's Bhalk."

“Well, looks like Jarridia is leaving. Bring our planes and ships back.”

“Sir. We just got some info from Doomingsland. Jarridian air forces which survived the attack on their navy were sent to Doomingsland and bombed several factories. Also, it looks like Jarridia is going to try and get the WWA to smack Doomingsland.”

“Shit…Doomingsland has saved us many times, and we can’t let them fall. If those jets get back, they too may go for a round on Doomingsland.”

“Like Shenyang letting ViZion’s planes by.”

“Yes, exactly.”

“Shit, lets hope they aren’t carrying nukes. All right, we’ll need to take them out. How many F78s are in the air?”

“By Jarridian planes, 125.”

“Alright, send 3 after half of them and two after half.”

The F78s in the air accelerated on their approach of the Jarridian planes. They activated active camouflage, making them invisible to the naked eye. But their was still the issue of radar, so they utilized their ARCMD systems into making the Jarridian radar think the planes were coming straight at them, rather than from behind them.

Then as the planes got within range each one fired ten of seventeen AIM-156 HAMRAAM missiles at respective Jarridian targets. These missiles used active radar in conjunction with an inertial reference unit and microcomputer system as tracking along with a LIDAR system and 3D thrust vectoring for extra maneuverability.

Now 25 of the Jarridian jets had 30 HAMRAAM missiles flying at them while 25 other jets had twenty. Quite a deadly situation.

Then the F78s opened up with their CFA-760D III 30mm electro-thermal EMAS/PGAS cannon to destroy whatever few planes survived the first barrage of missiles.
------------------------------------------
The planes that had taken off from the Mattian air base were already well within range of the Jarridian naval forces.

They had received orders not to destroy them because it seemed like Doomingsland was forcing them to surrender. Most of them returned home except for a single group of 8 who activated active camouflage and their AFFC/SIRR-12 active radar cancellation system, so the enemy’s radar could not pick them up. They then split up into two group of four and flanked the enemy ships, well out of Jarridian range, but within range to destroy them if they did not surrender.

With Doomingsland naval forces presumed on the way and a wing of Borman F78s ready to annihilate what was left of the Jarridian navy two fold the small Borman armada returned to port.

The jets attempted to turn around and make their way back to the carrier, but it was too late. The sky was already full of missiles streaming towards them. The barrage overwhelmed the evasive system and ended what had been a successful venture. Only 10 pilots were able to eject over the city, and another 5 had been reported in the desert.

The carrier group began to move as they waited for the fighters to catch up to them. All they wanted was to leave these horrid waters and get back home. A brief message of surrender crossed the Admirals desk, but it was soon covered up by maps, and therfore never seen by the Admiral or any other naval personnel. The order went through to go full power ahead, and get home as soon as possible. The carrier thrusted forward into the water, and the other ships soon joined along side it.

Soon, the radio crackled on, then began to ring clear. "USS Kasilyn, this is Lt. Waterson, requesting permission to land. We've made it ba....." The message suddenly went dead. Admiral McGee picked up the reciever and asked cautiosly, "Lt. Waterson, this is Admiral McGee. Over." There was nothing on the other side, "Lt. Waterson, please respond, over." There was still nothing, and suddenly the radar went blank. The Jarridian jets were no longer identifiable. While looking out the windows, peices of debris and shrapnel could be seen whizzing down into the water.

Admiral McGee turned fast and shouted, "Bring the cruisers around! Something is coming, we must be ready to fight..." But it was too late, the Bormanians had already launched their treacherous and dastardly blow. There was only enough time for a few missiles to be launches in retaliation, before the ships were no more. Thousands had lost their lives over the last day, many more were soon to follow. No word of survivors, and no word if any Bormanian planes had been hit in the retaliatory attack.

WWA Headquarters; Westwood, Jarridia

A general meeting of representatives was taking place. Marissa Stassin, WWA President was in the forefront, directing the meeting. She states,

"A very trying time has come upon us. One of our own members has attacked Jarridia, and therefore prompted their removal from the WWA. Borman EMpire's flag has been lowered and burn, representing the disrespect they have shown us, and our allies. Now the question comes, should we allow Jarridia to fight their own war, or shall we take up arms and fight along side them, and secure our own place in the world, and our right to live safely. I urge you all to vote yes in declaring a formal state of war on Borman Empire and Doomingsland.

The time has come to use our might and put these evil forces down. We must prove our worth, and fight through to absolute victory. They have attacked Jarridia with no warning to leave their waters. They have destroyed forces of our fellow ally, for no reason whatsoever, except their own greed. Let us go to Jarridia's aid, and fight for what is right in this world."

--------------------

War Room; Secret Location

President Jarrod Branam was furious at the conditions taking place in the CAD waters. "The problem is we aren;t doing enough!, "he yelled, "We need more forces in the area. I want us to mobilize our military at once. They will not get away with this massacre."

Keithan Weaver nodded, and said "We could always fall back on nucle...."

Jarrod cut him off saying, "No! We will not use nuclear weapons. No matter how vile these people are, they don't deserve to die like that, nor do our innocent Jarridians."

Keithen responded, "Then we shall mobilize at once. I will personally order our troops to be on the move."

Jarrod looked at his long time friend, now Secretary of Defense and said, "We must do everything to secure our victory. We are missing our simple frame of mind. Nothing is impossible for Jarridia."

Keithan nodded and left the room. Jarrod sat back and began to prepare a letter for the leader of Borman Empire.

Official Communication to Borman Empire

No longer shall we fall within your injustice to our people. You have promised a peace accord, which you promptly terminated. Your treachery will be long remembered, and you will suffer the onslaught you have lead against us. You must be shown the ways of justice. You shall prepare for war, as we have now prepared. The battles that follow having been building for some time. Now this has come to the surface, and there is no turning back. The rifts between our nations are too great for peace. War is our only choice. May God have mercy on your soul. The deepest pits of Hell are reserved for betrayers and backstabbers.

Jarrod Branam
President of Jarridia

Official Statement from Arcadia, Euroslavia

"It is with great displeasure that we have been paying attention to this trifling situation, and are disappointed in the fast actions of Doomingsland, and their attack on our fellow Westwood Alliance member, Jarridia. For now, we will issue an official condemnation of the attack, as well as the nation of Doomingsland itself. Euroslavia is willing to send medical aid to Jarridia, to help in the event of an all-out attack on Jarridia itself.

For now, the government of Euroslavia does not wish to involve itself in war, and will remain neutral for the time being, though politically, we support the government of Jarridia. This situation will be continuously monitored, in the event that the war expands, and involves more nations intertwined with Euroslavia itself, and the Westwood Alliance."

Lady Destra nos Thiendrel,
Free Dictator of the United Freedom Forces of Euroslavia

Official Communication to Euroslavia

I humbly thank your support of our cause against the treacherous nation of Doomingsland. Your alliance and membership in the WWA has been extremely fruitful, and you have always been an extremely generous ally. No that we will always be here if you need us. Thank you again.

Jarrod Branam
President of Jarridia

OOC:Thomish, that was a complete and utter godmod, and I, therefore, am ignoring that attack. You bypassed my air defenses without even allowing me to post, and simply assumed you'd meet no resistance on the way to the capital (which, by the way, is probably one of the most heavily defended pieces of airspace in the world). City of Ferrium

As the poor Jarridian pilots that had been unfortunate enough to survive the battle floated towards the city below them, they quickly realised that Doomingsland was most likely not a Geneva Convention signatory. Upon touching the ground, each of the men were quickly siezed by an angry mob, disarmed, and dragged off kicking and screaming towards the town square. This was where public executions took place.

The crowd numbered in the thousands and most of them were armed, the weapons ranging from RPGs to M-30 machineguns, and they were furious. Chants of 'Deus Volt' were rampant through the crowd as the captives were taken to their place of execution. Some of the pilots tried to protest their mistreatment, but were beaten in response.

Upon reaching the square, armored Imperial Guardsmen took custody of the prisoners and bound their hands, dragging them up the steps to the stakes, around which was piled kindling. The Jarridians were to be burned at the stake. Now that they saw what was about to happen, the pilots began to struggle more. This merely entertained the mob and the executioners.

The prisoners were quickly bound to the stakes and a priest read them their last rights. A big, burly man clad in an executioner's mask and camo fatigues held a torch. He smiled sadisticaly beneath his mask. He approached the first stake, lighting the kindling with the torch. Then the second. The third. All the way to the tenth stake. The screams of the men droned on into the night as they were slowly burned alive, their flesh sizzling and melting off of the charred, blackened bone.

A reporter with Imperial News Network was on station to moniter the execution, which was being shown live. The Jarridians could watch them if they happened to subscribe to the right channel...

_________________________________________________________________

Meanwhile, a great hunt began out in the desert surrounding Ferrium. MV-68 Banshee VTOL transport/gunships flew low and slow, scanning the ground with forward looking infared and high powered search lights. Each VTOL had a complement of Mobile Infantrymen to assist in the capture of downed enemy pilots.

Several miles away was an ELINT station, listening in on electronic traffic. If the pilots activated a homing beacon, they would quickly have a swarm of aircraft bearing down on their positions.

Piloting one of the aircraft was Sergeant Cassius Kaeso. He'd just earned his flight wings, and was excited to finally be doing something apart from training excerises. Sitting behind him was with WSO, Sergeant Decimus, in control of the nose mounted 30mm chaingun and rocket pods. It was unlikely any of those would be needed.

The aircraft all had preassigned search patterns, allowing for ground to be more effeciently covered. The WSO had the responsability of monitering the FLIR console, checking for any inidentified heat signatures. As the aircraft flew roughly fifty feet over the ground, kicking up sand around it, Decimus tapped Cassius on the shoulder and pointed towards his own screen. A heat signature. Human.

"Alright, looks good enough for me." replied the pilot, yanking the throttle back and engaging the aircraft in a hover.

The rear ramp door swung open and ropes were dropped down. The futuristic-looking infantrymen slid down silently, quickly establishing a defensive perimeter. Cassius was in command of this unit. He marked a waypoint on his GPS map, and that was transmitted to the men's HUDs. Swiftly and silently, they swarmed the area, the laser spot projectors of their weapons switched on and projecting a beam, their heat vision systems active.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v383/Doomingsland/infantry.jpg

Deep in the desert, the five soldiers tried their best to stay alive in the brutal climate of the Doomingsland climate. Without a significant supply of food and water, they knew they would survive long, and they had absolutely no idea where they were. Slowly they began to head in an eastern direction, or atleast they felt it was east. Much of their utilities had been destroyed in the blast and the fall down.

Each one wanted to radio back home, in order to get evacuated, but they knew that would only give their location away to the enemy. Slowly they crept, close to the ground, and as out of sight as possible. It was cooler at night, than it was in the day, and a perfect time to move. Along the horizon they could see lights and movement. Sporadically they would dart down into the sant, attempting to shield themselves from the enemy.

Lt. Harold Freeport was leading the group, who had unfortunately lived for this tale. Suddenly, a bright light flashed in their direction. The five men quickly dropped to the ground and buried themself in the sand. The sounds of a slow moving tank roared towards them. The sounds of men speaking an unknown language rang above them. Their hearts beating with anticipation. The tank began to roll on again, smashing John Whittaker, a 23 year old pilot who just graduated from college. He made no sounds as the heavy beast rolled over on top of him, it was a mere instant death that noe of thim wanted to witness.

After the take moved on, they jumped up and checked eachother.

"Sir, we lost Whittaker." said Thomas Porchy

"Another man down," Harold said with a sigh, "I hate these fucking bastards and they weren't even trying this time."

The men moved on into the night, trying to find a place to hid come daylight.

Solac-Ur Facility, Crematoria, Doomingsland

"So, my brothers, it now comes to war," said the Emperor solemnly from his newly located thrown, now located nearly a mile underground in the command room.

The room had several massive projector screens at the far end, rows upon rows of computers with soldiers manning them facing them. The Emperor had in front of him his top commanders.

"I'm afraid so, my liege," responded General Caius, one of his top advisors, "Now that the infidel fleet has been crushed we can almost assuredly expect another to arise and take its place, along with an invasion army. Like cockroaches, sire. You kill them and kill them, but they always come back."

The Emperor chuckled at that comment.

"Indeed, General. Are the resources in place to execute the Purification Protocol?" he asked in a more serious tone.

"As per your request, my lord."

"Good. Now we play the waiting game."

The golden sun began to show itself over the horizon, inclining the soldiers that hunted the Jarridian pilots to deactivate their thermal imaging systems and flashlights, activating their motion tracking vision instead. Adrenaline flowed freely through the veins of Sergeant Marius Crassus as he lead his eight man section, running across the sand dunes to the waypoint.

His M-31A1 rifle was tucked snuggly into his shoulder as he ran, dust begining to circulate ever so slightly on the tinted visor that covered his face. Over the next dune was the suspected position of at least one of the downed pilots. As the GPS map projected onto his visor indicated that they were close, he, using hand signals, ordered the men into an enveloping formation.

The gentle crunch of sand beneath his armored boots became all the more apparent in the deafening silence. Slowly, he moved to the peak of the dune. He was now right at the top of the dune, he and his squad laying prone on their side as to not expose themselves.

Motioning again with hand signals, the men prepared to dash over the embankment to surprise whatever lay on the other side. Upon his signal, the men rose and swarmed over the crest of the dune from all sides, their weapons trained at what lay at the bottom, the red dots projected by their laser beams dancing around the area targetted.

"Surrender!" barked the sergeant in Latin to the unknown threat.

The Shah looked apprehensivley at his advisors. Doomingsland was a great ally of the Parthian Shahdom, one of the first in fact. Generia was working a peace treaty, and Parthian might would not be of benefit there, but here, in Doomingsland, the Parthians could destroy the invaders. The idea here would be simply to take them to the peace table, rather than utterly demolish the nation of the invader.

Looking up, the Shah spoke, "Prepare the fleets in Bandar-e Abbas for immediate departure. We must act now in support of our ancient allies. In addition, mobilize all land and air forces in the Pars Satrapy, have them deployed into the fleets. We must act quickly and decisivley to smash the Jarridians."

WWA Headquarters; Westwood, Jarridia

Today, the Westwood Alliance has formally declared a state of war against Doomingsland. The actions in the past days have forced the WWA Council to end any hopes of peace, and begin mobilizing the entirety of the WWA Security Forces to WWA Member nations and to the affected area in the CAD Region.

The mobilization will take place over the next few days, and will contribute to a non-stop mounting forces in the region. We will not rest until the WWA Council sees fit, or we immerge in absolute victory. To complete this change in production and economic activity, we are asking that all member nations fully participate in this conflict, and give their unwavering support to this cause. Thank you.

Official Imperial Statement Regarding Defense of CAD Allies

The Benevolent Emperor Saul Hudson the Illuminator wishes it to be known that the Ruthless Imperium of Freudotopia will not tolerate foreign interference with CAD affairs, as per the Walrustitty Doctrine.

If any further attempt to encroach on the territorial waters of the Borman Empire, Doomingsland, or any other CAD member is made, Freudotopia will have no choice but to declare a state of war with the perpetrator, and remove by force any military units in CAD territory.

We do not wish for Jarridia or any other nation to lose further lives, and we give this warning not as a threat, but as a plea to stop the senseless violence that has engulfed the CAD. However, our resolve should not be tested in this matter, despite our hope for peace. If military force must be used, we will not hesitate to eradicate any foreign forces that attack CAD nations or trespass in CAD territory.

This will be the last warning of its kind. If forces bound for the CAD are not recalled and forces already in CAD territory are not removed, Freudotopia will declare war on the aggressors, and will not cease hostilities until every invader is driven from our lands.

My friend, the Xeraphian Empire in it's entirety stands ready to help you in the event of an invasion of your nation. We have both military and humanitarian resources at the ready.
The following are being deployed to an area just outside your territorial waters:
The 11th, 72nd, 91st, and 55th CBG's. This is in addition to the WarHammer Battle Group that we already have stationed in your harbor.
A Xeraphian CBG consists of 2 Battle Carriers w/72 aircraft each, 2 Attack Carriers w/68 aircraft each, 3 Battle Ships, 3 Destroyers, 3 Missile Destroyers, 2 Subs, 12 Fast Attack Cruisers.
The 22nd, 23rd, and 44th Royal Xeraphian AirWings are being scrambled. Each AirWing is comprised of 12 squadrons of 12 fighter jets. In addition, I have ordered the deployment of the 314th Bomber Squadron and the 732nd HCGS squadron. All Royal Xeraphian air units are on high alert.
Should any Jarridian allies wish to make a strike into Doomingsland territory, Xeraph will deploy 3.5 million troops in 6 stages.

Official Imperial Statement:

If any forces of WWA nations are found within territorial, weather it be air, sea or land, borders of Borman empire it will be seen as an act of war. A state of total war will be declared on that nation(s) and the offending forces will be destroyed. If they are forces of the WWA then a state of war will exist between the Bornerifreudic Empire and the WWA.

Also, in response to the declaration of war against the allied nation of Doomingsland the territorial waters of Borman will be extended to 700 miles off of the coast of Borman, any and all nations, weather involved in the conflict or not, will face consequences for trespassing, depending on their relation to the Bornerifreudic empire.

Any and all embassies and military bases belong to WWA alliance members must be immediately cleared out of Borman territory. Any citizens or soldiers remaining after 24 hours will be placed under arrest.

However, despite these moves Borman is not entirely set on war. We still believe millions of WWA lives could be saved and are open to the idea of peace. We are willing to host a peace conference, but are more than sure our proposal will be denied by the WWA. We are willing to find a neutral nation in which to hold these talks and will willing participate.

We have become aware of your willingness to assist the nation of Jarridia in hostile actions against Doomingsland and the CAD alliance. We are an allied nation to Doomingsland and a member of the CAD alliance. These actions are seen as hostile to our nation itself, an ally of Xeraph. We ask that you cease your aid for Jarridia, we do not wish for you to be divided between two allies, and so ask that instead you choose to be neutral. You could be the site of peace talks, which could save millions of lives.

However, if you persist to commit and offer support to a nation that is hostile to Borman and committing acts of war against an ally we will see your nation as hostile. At that point in time we will break all alliances and diplomatic ties with your nation and prepare for war with you. We do not want to see this occur.

As a sign of our willingness to continue friendly and peaceful alliances with your nation we will leave you exempt from the recent orders of evicting and/or arresting all WWA citizens and soldiers within the nation of Borman. Chanchellor Licinius,

Thank you for your message. As you may or may not know, Xeraph has been a long-standing ally, nay friend, of Jarridia. We were allies before the formation of The Westwood Alliance, and have forged ever closer ties with this nation over the years. The same is true of many of Xeraph's allies, including ViZion, Credonia, Dr Twist, Verboten Lufftewaffe, and the Crossman Imperium.
We do truly value The Borman Empire as a true and competant ally. We appreciate your leniancy towards Xeraph in this situation.
However, as stated in the previous posts, we have made no overt moves towards an invasion of Doomingsland, save the 3.5 million ground troops being called up for that potential event.
Our naval force is anchored off Jarridia's coast, not Doomingsland's. Our aircraft are patrolling the Jarridian airspace, not Doomingsland's. Our military units are in place in the event of Jarridia being invaded.
We will concede the point concerning the ground troops. I will not order them into Doomingsland, unless Borman forces fire on Xeraphian forces.
Regardless of the turnout, be assured that any Borman citizens in Xeraph are safe and will remain so while on Xeraphian soil.
I truly do hope that the Borman Empire and the Xeraphian Empire do not come into conflict. We have the wherewithall to wage war on several fronts at once. In fact, we are embroiled in two other conflicts as I write this.
Please....for our mutual sakes, refrain from attacking Jarridian soil or firing on Xeraphian troops. This will only cause a massive retaliatory strike on Borman sovreignty by Xeraph and it's allies, with terrible losses on both sides.

We wish to call upon Jarridia, Doomingsland, and others involved into the peace talks that will be held by Aust. President Maybury himself will be attending, as will Generia and others.

President Maybury wishes to ask President Jarrod Branam to personally attend the meeting with him. If Doomingsland does not attend, it will only be his downfall. Let us go together. We have always stood with eachother. Let us make this statement together.

Shelbin, Jarridia; Presidential Speech (National and World)

President Jarrod Branam stood at his podium. The Jarridian flag flying freely in the warm summer breeze, the sky was bright and cheerful. Millions of people turned our to watch the beloved leader speak of the conflict going on abroad, but none knew of the actions exactly. Behind him was Kim Shaffer, Secretary of State; Eric Johnson, Secretary of Foreign Affairs; Keithan Weaver, Secretary of Defense; and finally, Marissa Stassin, WWA President and Jarridian Representative to the WWA.

He took a glance out at the crowd, then up to the proud Jarridian flag, and he began to proclaim the circumstances of the afternoon.

"Good Afternoon to all Jarridians, allies, and people of the world watching me. Many are well aware of the events that have unfolded in the recent days, but still, many are unsure of what has lead up to our actions. Many of you have watched as our military has been mobilized in tremendous numbers, and shipped off to a far away land, without even the slightest inkling of a reason, or motive. To this, I can assure you, will go on no further.

In one simple phrase, I can define what is happening. Jarridian forces have been attacked on the high seas. In our attempt to investigate a possible terror crisis in Borman Empire, or naval ships were ruthlessly, unknowingly, dastardly attacked by the nation of Doomingsland. We had not provoked, now engaged this nation in any fashion, and if we had caused an infraction, they should have warned our passing, but they did no such thing. Instead, they have chosen to engage us in combat, and to that, we have ,lost many young and extraordinary Jarridian lives.

We quickly attempted to retaliate, but to no avail. Our planes were brought down over a Doomingsland city, and the captured pilots were burned at the stake, while several others our lost in the harsh desert in the south. The time of action has come, and we must take up arms, in a full and utter declaration of war against this nation. They have done us wrong, and should pay the consequence for these actions.

They have denied our allies attemptes for peace, and have pushed for a massive naval blockade of the Mediterranean. Yes, they are supporting Guffingford in its attempt to rob us blind. The events that have unfolded have undoubtedly changed Jarridians stance and ideal of the world. No longer can we trust that our safety is intact, when nations wish to do us harm for no apparent reason.

We have been in communication with our allied nations in the WWA and abroad, in hopes of staving off disaster and war, but it seems that our call has been denied. War seems to be the only option to defeat this enemy, and we will, under all circumstances, win through to absolute victory...so help us God.

This conflict is not for territorial gain, nor is it for the bounty of war. Jarridia has mobilized because she feels the need to do so, in order to protect her right for survival. We are not on a path to destroy human life, only to protect our own life for the future. We must rejoice in this chance that we have been given, to protect our home, our nation and our future. Let us begin.

I ask that all Jarridians, at home tonight, or on travel, please bow your heads in prayer, and pray for the safety and quick return of our brave and honorable soldiers. The sanctity of our nation is in their hands. God bless Jarridia, the Westwood Alliance, and all citizens of the universe."

He turned, nodded at the cabinet behind him and slowly began to walk off the stage. The crowd was nearly silent, all were in deep respect for their president. The most horrific and terrible of all wars was beginning, the determination of the future was miraculously at hand.

Jarridian Military Forces: Nearing the coast of Doomingsland

The massive amount of ships cut through the silent waters like knives. They pierced the cool salt air and headed straight toward their destination 400 miles off the coast of Doominsland. Here they would set up, and further branch off into Carrier groups that would transprot the soldiers to the launch positions.

As the ships approached, Commander Reddygood, the current commander of the Operation: Cold Snap. He sat in his office in the JSS Persimmon, a Battleship, awaiting to be alerted by his aid.

Suddenly, his aid came through the door.

"Sir, we have arrived and are ready for you." said the aid.

"Excellent, the time has come for our invasion forces to begin. Alert home base that we are beginning phase II, Operation: Shooting Star. Let us go." pronounced Reddygood.

"At once sir," the aid nodded.

The two men quickly proceeded to the helm. Commander Reddygood picked up the reciever.

"Men," he announced, "Prepare for commencement."

The men all over the Jarridian fleet scurried about on their rightful ships until they finally came to a stand still.

"Alright! Begin Phase II! God speed and remember, 'No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country, they won wars by making the other dumb bastards die for their country." he stated.

There was a final cheer as commencement began, the lighting systems were cut, and the ships entered darkness as they went off into 10 different directions, all were destined for landing on the Doomingsland coast. None of the soldiers knew what to expect, only that it was a hostile territory.

All was peacefull on that quiet summer night. Buisiness as usual. Corporal Gaius Decimus figured the war would be begining out in Crematoria, thousands of miles from this hell hole. Of course, comparing Jaririum and Crematoria was like comparing Antarctica and a tropical island: vastly different climates. While it was alot nicer down by the river, one must always remember not to drink the water: it is one of the most heavily polluted on the face of the planet.

Crickets chirpped rampantly, preventing Gaius from catching a bit of shut-eye during his eight hour shift at the outpost. They didn't expect a thing. The chatter of their radio suddenly increased tenfold beneath them in the actual bunker complex.

"What the fuck is it now?" groaned Private Aurelius, suddenly awoken from his slumber by this interruption.

I dunno, Marius, go find out." replied Gaius with a smile, staring off into the distance.

Not being able to protest due to his inferior rank, Marius rolled off of the roof of the bunker, hitting the ground with a thud. A few minutes later, he scurried back up with a look of distress across his face.

"Men! The Jarridians just declared war!" he stammered, trying to catch his breath.

The others suddenly looked up at him, expressions of shock about them.

"Truley?"

"'Fraid so. That pathetic excuse for a leader of theirs just made a speach publicly just hours ago."

Gaius' face went red with anger and he glared at his comrade.

"Hours? HOURS?! Do you realize what could have happened in HOURS, Private?"

Marius recieved his answer in the form of what sounded suspiciously like water boiling on a tea kettle. They all knew what it was.

"FUCK! Incoming!" yelled somone. Gaius dove off of the roof, taking cover just in time to avoid the 6" shell that destroyed his bunker from doing much damage.

He was temporarily defeaned, and he stood dazed, trying to figure out what happened. In a matter of seconds, the entire coast seemed alight with the impact of artillery rounds. Realizing that staying put was almost certain suicide, he began to run towards the river bed, not quite sure of what he'd find.

There was a deafening roar as a pair of F-22s streaked overhead at high speed, heading inland towards some unknown target. The sonic boom knocked him off his feet, and he fell down on the hill, rolling down hill in the sand towards the polluted river.

He heard the sound of motors eminating from off the coast and he looked towards them, shocked to find a group of amphibious transports heading right towards him. Getting to his feet, he searched for cover. Big mistake.

A Jarridian had apparently spotted him and decided to use him for target practice for his 40mm grenade machinegun, opening up with an unholy rage. High explosive rounds burst about him, sending torrents of sand high into the air, and sending him flying nearly twenty feet, into a collection of bushes. There he lay for a few hours, drifting in and out of conciousness, unaware of what was going on around him...

Coast of Doomingsland; 6:15 a.m.

For nearly half an hour, Jarridian forces had been laying waste to what was a river delta. The early morning sky had been destroyed by artillery shell and bomb explosions as Jarridian soldiers closed in on a landing destination. They had been briefed of the horrific pollution that plagued the river, but none knew of how terrible it actually was.

Finally the transports had reached the shore, much to their suprise when the doors opened, there was not a whole lot of resistance, perhaps they had taken the Doomingsland military by surprise. The Jarridians stomred the beach. It was soon covered like an ant hill, streams of military personnel filled the coastal region, the stench of pollutants filled the air, irritating many of the soldiers, but they continued on their justifiable duties.

The first action took place when a Jarridian soldier, by the name of Mark Jipson noticied a man crawling around in the riverbed, he promptly opened fire on the man, as did several others around him. When they saw him fall, they quickly ran over to bring him back to the coast, where he would be interrogated for military secrets.

--------------

Overhead, F-22's filled the skies, heading over the coast towards coastal villages and cities to drop their payloads. Several B-2's, that has been refueled on the long flight to Doomingsland, arrived and were escorted by numerous F-15's and F-22's. Their destination was Jaririum, and the mission was to target military and industrial outposts. Without a doubt, the coastal region had been greatly impacted by the non-stop bombings and artillery attacks.

Back at the river edge, the first tanks and Modern Armor were making their way onto the land, however, it was slow going due to the softness of the land. The Armor was forced further down the beach, where they could successfully unload. This was one of the few places that the invasion could have taken place, due to the fact that most of Doomingsland coast was jagged cliffs and rocks.

For nearly 4 hours, Jarridians continued to stream onto the beach, along with tanks, armor and missile batteries. Jarridians had successfully claimed a beach head, for the first time in Doomingsland history.

------------------------

Nearly 500 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles had been launched and were enroute to Crematoria. They had been programmed to stike governmental sectors and military operatives within the capital city. Upon arrival over the coast their secondary thrusters kicked in to give them an extra boost over the long expanse of barren land towards the capital city.

The war had finally begun.

As Gaius lay there in the underbrush, the sound of foreign voices drew nearer and nearer. He knew that to be taken alive would bring shame to his family and people. Therefore he did what one must in such a situation. Activating his heat vision, the world around was displayed in shades of blue, red, yellow, and orange. He saw a group of men cautiously moving through the area in his direction.

Then he realized something: in his haste to escape the bombardment, he'd left his rifle behind. Thinking quickly, he drew his sidearm and activated the laser spot projector mounted beneath the barrel. His foes continued to make their way towards him, unaware of his precise location.

Smirking wryly, for what he thought was surely the last time, he removed an M-71 fragmentation grenade and quietly removed the pin. The sound of the boots of his enemy crackled on the soft, wet sand, constantly providing him with a precise distance.

Without warning, he got up on his knees and lobbed the grenade, which promtly went off. This particular grenade was not of a sort the Jarridians had seen: rather than using convention shrapnel to kill, a sphere of tightly packed flechettes would be dispersed at extremely high velocity, allowing for it to tear through body armor with ease

With this distraction, he took to his feet and began to run, unsure of where he was going.

Bullets whizzed by his head as the enemy soldiers tryed to bring him down. He felt something hit him in the back, and he tumbled over into the damp brush. He was unwounded; the round had been unable to penetrate his thick armor.

Shouts from behind him beckoned him to surrender, causing him to chuckle as he got up and continued to run. The sand around him shot up from bullet impacts. Suddenly, something he didn't expect arrived: help. From the crest of the hill, an armored beast rolled down, its treads creaking and clanking, its mighty 75mm ETMAS gun firing at once at his pursuers with a beehive round, exploding and filling the air with thousands of flechettes.

The rear ramp door of the M-35A1 Testudo infantry fighting vehicle dropped open, and the miniturreted 25mm DREAD gun mounted above the main turret came to life, suppressing his enemies. In one final dash to safety, Gaius ran as fast as he could, small arms rounds hitting the armor of the vehicle. Diving into the troop compartment, the door swung back shut, and the vehicle drove back off at high speed.

Still in a dream like state of mind, Gaius pondered what had just happened. As his vision became clearer, he found that the troop compartment housed several men, one of them with an arm missing, the medic tending to him carefully.

"Can someone tell me what just happened?" asked the Corporal aloud.

"Well, sir, it seems that the Jarridians have invaded." replied a private smartly, a smirk across his face. Getting more serious, he spoke again, "The entire division was off guard when they came. The majority of us were wiped out in the bombardment, the rest scrambled about and tried to make it to the tunnels. You're a lucky one, Corporal. This is the last transport out of here."

Groaning, the corporal put his head down in his hands.

"The High Command has instructed us to pull back to the mountains. Unfortunately, it's at least three days' drive, even via the Highway. Word is, 3rd Army will meet us there when we arrive."

"IF we arrive, Private." replied a tough looking man, who had been sitting silently in the corner of the vehicle. "It won't take long for the infidels to discover the tunnel entrances and deal with them accordingly. If we find our rout to the mountains blocked, we might as well sit around and make a good last stand." he said grimly, addressing all of the men.

Seeing that Gaius had but a pistol at his disposal, he grabbed a rifle off of the vehicle's weapon rack and handed it to him.

"You'll be needing this."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What had occured in those few hours had changed the course of history: no longer did the people feel impervious to foreign attack. As a result, a mass mobilization of the populace occured. Rifles were grabbed off walls, ancient helmets strapped on. An insurgency the likes of which had never seen before would soon be starting.

Jarridia's Doomingslandian Nightmare had begun.

In the first few hours alone, Jarridian Forces had nearly annihilated the Imperial 35th Infantry Division thanks to their heavy bombardment. Regular Imperial forces had been ordered to withdraw to the Grand Imperial Highway: a massive tunnel complex spanning the entire nation, thousands of entrances though out the country, nearly a mile deep in some points. From there they would fall back to the Jararii Mountatins and regroup with the Imperial 3rd Army.

The counter attack would kick off then.

As Doomingslanders living in coastal towns were awoken to the sound of marching soldiers wearing strange uniforms and the creak of treads, they realized what had happened. Within hours of their landing, the Jarridians began to face fierce resistance from the local populace, who, equiped with weapons even more advanced than the Jarridian army, would create Hell on Earth for their foe.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imperial High Command, Solac-Ur Facility, Crematoria

The massive underground stronghold was even busier than usual with news of the invasion. Intellegence reports came in from everywhere, reports of entire brigades being annihilated in the first hours, town after town falling under enemy occupation. The High Command had been caught with its pants down.

Walking along the concrete corridor, Imperator Maximus, Son of the Emperor, walked towards the facility's entrance to the Highway. Following him was an entourage of Equites Singulares, his personal guard. Soon he would take personal command of the Imperial 3rd Army and begin his glorious Crusade against the heathen enemy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the enemy cruise missiles streaked low over the desert, air defense systems came to life. Due to the sheer distance from the Jarridian fleet and the Imperial capital, the air defense network had more than enough time to detect the incoming missiles and light them up. Within minutes of their launch, thousands of surface to air missiles streaked up from batteries all over the desert, along with hundreds of thousands of high explosive rounds from anti-aircraft guns.

The subsonic missiles would have no terrain to mask their approach, and were easily obliterated on their trip towards the capital by the sheer amount of defenses.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

As soon as enemy fighters began to appear over Imperial skies, the Doomingsland Imperial Airforce swung into action. Within twenty minutes of the invasion, three hundred F-78E King Demon air superiority fighters launched, laden with thousands of long range air-to-air missiles.

Thanks to heavy radar coverage via AWACS aircraft, the enemy airforce was being constantly watched from far away.

At a range of 210 naughtical miles, the aircraft released their massive payload of 13 AIM-154 AXRAAM missiles each. The missiles would then accelerate to mach five, being guided by the radar of the AWACS aircraft, and by their internal IR, LIDAR, and LADAR systems, maneuvering via 3D thrust vectoring and winglets.

The enemy airforce now had 3,900 missiles heading right towards them at high speed. They had little hope, now.

This was only the start of the grand air campaign. Soon, hundreds more strike aircraft and close air support birds would be airborne to annihilate the enemy's fleet and most of their armor.

Of course, none of this would truely be nessessary. With 15 million mouths to feed in a desert country several hundred thousand miles from home, the Jarridians would find the whole operation logistically impossible, with the need for tens of thousands of supply vessels to bne constantly sailing through hostile waters, bringing millions of tons of supplies every day.

Those supply lines would be constantly attack by submarines and aircraft, or even cut off as a whole by an entire fleet. It was only a matter of time before the Jarridian army ran out of food, water, gas, and ammunition.

And when that occured, the world's largest Live Fire Excerise would commence.

This is an Official Statment from President Lee in Morission

President Lee looked straight into the camera. He shuffled his papers, wiped his brow, and cleared his throat.

"You're on in 5...4...3...2..." The Cameraman pointed to the President of the Confederate Republic of Inkana.

"Greetings, fellow Inkanans. In the past few days, we have seen a disruption of peace within the C A D alliance. In a cowardly attack, the nation of Jarrida has attacked our most honarable allies in the Empire of Doomingsland.

But I have all the faith in the Military Forces of Doomingsland. If Jarrida wants a war, I guarentee Emperor Helldawg V will give it to them. You see, Doomingslandians aren't normal; and I mean this in the good way. You can never count a Doomingsland soldier down until he has been shot and buried for at least a week. That is the nature of their resolve.

As many of you know, Inkana is a stouch member of the C A D alliance, and we will not sit idly by, isolating ourselves from our responsiblity, while one of our liberators, one of our strongest allies gets bombed and battered by an attacking force.

Therefore, with all these circumstances put fourth, I have asked the permission of Congress, and the Empire of Helldawg V to send the 1st Panzer Armee under the command of Field Marshal Enrich Lommer to Doomingsland, along with the 2nd Fleet, in order to restore some balance to this conflict. GAMAB military base in Jarridia

It was late in the evening, not too long after Grand Alliance forces received orders to prepare for operations against Doomingsland that the large doors of the armored B-2 bomber aircraft shelters swung open unveiling large black monsters new to combat but built for the task that lay ahead. With it,came a new young bright confident crew of skilled aviators determined to carry out the mission assigned to them. One of them was wing commander Sergei Romanov. He was 33, young, intelligent, and eager to make sure that his wing crew would show their full potential in the mission ahead. He had arrived a week before not sure of what his deployment really meant. But today he finally learned of a mission that commanders had planned out;complex for those that had planned it yet simple for him.His mission was simple;lead a bomber wing over enemy territory, target and hit key economic, communications, command, and war production centers inside Doomingsland. And yet it wasn't so simple.Although he and his crew knew what their mission was,he was unsure of what they might face in the skies over Doomingsland. But as he stood on the tarmac and thought about it,he decided he shouldn't really worry himself about it.Afterall,he and his crew were utilizing 10 of the finest aircraft built. To accomplish their mission they would utilize some of the best weapons; GBU-27 precision-guided bombs and 1,000 pound Mk 83 general purpose bombs. The guided would be used to hit anything that was hardened;the Mk83s would be used against soft targets.Romanov stood as the large warloads were loaded into each bomber.

When the time came, the crews suited up,walked to their aircraft started their engines. The aircontrol tower radioed,"Foxfire 1 you are cleared for take off."
One by one, beginning with Romanov's aircraft, the large black monsters taxied down the runway, took to flight, and disappeared into the night sky..........

Meanwhile somewhere near the Doomingsland coast............

The large carrier fleet commanded by Admiral C.Turner Joy set in the dark silence uncertain of what lay ahead.Admiral Joy was 52 and was a veteran seamanhadcommanded several carrier fleets in different parts of the world. It had only been a week since his battle group been deployed to the area, when only a few hours before he received orders on a mission. His fleet's mission was to fire a salvo of guided cruise missiles assigned to hit predetermined targets inside Doomingsland and to hunt down and attack an enemy fleet operating somewhere in the area.He received orders from the Westwood Fleet Commander by satellite to fire the first wave of cruise missiles at Doomingsland as did the other captains of the other missile ships in the fleet.Within minutes 78 Tomahawk cruise missiles were airborne lighting up the sky.The admiral looked on thinking about the destinations of the missiles............
In the air over Doom city......
Romanov's group arrived over the business and industrial district of the city. All was silent in the city.Romanov looked out and could see the headlights of moving vehicles in the streets.Down below,he also saw the targets he was assigned to hit-large factories lit up with light and movement. With his aircraft in place over the factories and other buildings,he ordered bomb bay doors opened.Large Mk83 bombs fell upon their targets folowed by massive explosions. As soon as the first explosion erupted, enemy
anti-aircraft gun fire erupted creating bright flashes and corkscrew patterns in the sky.An aircraft near Romanov's erupted into flame after taking a hit from gun fire and plunged to the ground. As the aircraft attempted to leave the area, the gun fire became heavier.Suddenly, large explosion from a SAM shook Romanov's aircraft killing the crew on board. As the others attempted to escape the gun fire and SAMs,they encountered a large flight of fighters. The bombers tried to evade the pursuing fighters with no success.Incoming missiles launched from the fighters exploded near the sides of the bombers shaking them and tearing them in half and sending them down in flames to the gound. One of the last bombers, damaged from gunfire could not go any further and crash landed in nearby clearing just outside the city. Its crew did not respond back to headquarters by radio and are supected dead or captured.

It only took a few seconds for Coordinator Neunfeld to pick up the phone and utter a few words to his Chief of Staff. The actual millitary buildup would take some weeks, but by the end of it Wirraway would once again rise to its place among the most powerful nations in the world.

Even as Nuenfeld spoke, the 4th and 3rd Battlefleets left Falkhead and headed into Borman and Doomingslandian waters, ready to crush any possible threat to the continent. All along the coast radar units went on high alert along with SSMs and SAMs. Fighter patrols were doubled and prowler ESM units scoured the seas for any hint of an incoming force.

If war was to come to CAD the enemy would have to pay a heavy price to simply lay his eyes on the coast.

Comander in chief Kurt nicholls looked out from the presidential palace. A vast sea of people cheered and screamed as he prepared to unvail what had been dubbed Gods Army.

sun peered into the square as the president began to speak,

" People of Crimsdale, and citizens of the world, It is time for me to reveal a secret, one I, and many others have known for a long time." the crowd calmed in anticipation, " I have created a Grande Army for Crimsdale, an army for which the likes of our people have never seen before. Men recruited under your very noses. Along with this new Army we have deeloped a new form of weapon that houses great potential for peace keeping. It's called an AG Bomb. Using the string theory we developed a similiar weapon 10 years ago. it was unstable and caused a great devestation to the northern city of Bleech. Now we have refined our technology and built the AG Bomb."

With that the gates to the inner courtyard opened beneath the president revealing a 2 ton bomb. it resembled and egg as it lay covered in red paint.
The crowd gawked, and attempted to get closer as Crimsdale Police stepped in and ensured a riot would not ensue.

"people of Crimsdale, you can sleep calm in your house knowing that we are safe. As our troops finnaly pull into Jarridia ports over sea we can prepare for a second wave of troops, men from the grande army, bringing the grande total for troop counts to 10,000 men."

The president turned and dissapeared behind a long blue velvet curtain.

"President Kurt is away tonight and won't be joining us," said secretary of defense Pixen as he joined the room with his books in hand.
"He has importamt business to attend dealing with the AG Bomb. Little does the global community know that this bomb isn't real, now I have gathered you all here today to discuss what we should do about keeping Global pressure on us to dissarm our weapon."

"Easy, we should just us a chemical weapon and attack doomingsland. It would keep the media clouded for awhile with the thought that we may use this "AG Bomb"," Said one man sternly.

"We already have plans for such an attack, but we need something more grande something to pull the wool over CAD's eyes and divert them from the real issue." Pixen soberly looked out the window, it's view overlook the Crimsdale capitol city. "We need to throw our operation into full effect."

"Have you briefed the President on our plans yet?" question one man

"Not yet, and I don't think we will. The shadow government has been around since before Crimsdale broke away from the Nation of Spitfire, if it were not for the shadow government thier would have never been a revolution, and the civil war that follow. Pixen was become furious as he remembered all that he had fought for as a young man. His now 87 year old body was becoming frail and he was become ever more frightened by the fact he mioght die without a true succesor.

"Pixen, you have no reason to worry. We will not fall." whispered one man as the group stood and went for a short break.

OOC:Canand a, have you ever heard of the concept of "logistics"?

If so, you'd know that feeding 100,000,000 men far away from home is virtualy impossible (you'd need literaly millions of supply ships to support them), and they would most likely starve on the trip over. Even Jarridia is pushing it with 15 million (which is also practically impossible to support, seeing as he's thousands of miles from the nearest allied country in a desert).

Corvica, Jarridia: Northern Suburbs

A thin woman with shoulder length brunette hair stood in her small, yet roomy kitchen. The sun shone brightly in the Jarridian afternoon, as she washed dishes in her sink. She could not have been more than 30 years old, and was a mother of two. She stood gazing outside the window, the sun kissing the bright bluebonnets dotting the ground, her two children running in the backyard. She glanced away for a moment, and suddenly her daughter, around 4 years old ran in half covered in mud. Her mother's eyes widened as the mud prints splashed on the floor, and the little girl exclaimed, "Mommy, Josh pushed me in the mud because I wouldn't listen to him!"

Her mother quickly got a towel and began wiping the little girl off, "Oh reallY? Well, what was he saying?"

"He said that Daddy was in a war. What's a war? Can I go to war? Did Uncle Paul go with daddy?" the little girl said quickly.

A sudden shocked look came over the mother's face, she didn't know what to say, but the little girls eyes glistened with lust for knowledge. The mother wiped away her concerned look and said, "You see Hailey, there are all different people in the world. We are Jarridians, all of us are. Sometimes, the land we live in falls under attack from others, and heroes like daddy and Uncle Paul go off to make sure we are all safe. No my dear, you shouldn't want to go to war."

The little girl contemplated over this for a while, and then said, "Will the Ja....Jar...." she looked a bit confused.

"Her mother smiled and said, "Jarridians"

The little girls smiled back and said, "Will the Jarridians win?"

Her mom gave the girl a hug and smiled lovingly, "We pray that our land will win for our safety, and we hope that all of the mommies and daddies, uncles and aunts will return safely home."

The little girl grinned and said, "Daddy will come home, I know he will. He promised he would take me to school."

The mother smiled and said, "Yes he will. Now run along now."

The little girl smiled as she ran back outside to retaliate against her brother.

Official Imperial Statement

The Empire notes with frustration the continuation of hostilities between Doomingsland and Jarridia despite the beginning of peaceful negotiation in Aust in search of a diplomatic end to this war, and further noting the likelihood that neither Jarridia nor Doomingsland will send representatives to participate in the aforementioned discussions, the Empire must declare its full support for her CAD ally, Doomingsland, for the duration of the continuation of hostilities between that nation and Jarridia. We also note that Jarridia and Generia remain in a state of war owing to the incidents that occured earlier this week, and though we have yet to take aggressive action, we recognize that Jarridia has yet to retract her declaration of war, and thus we find it necessary to initiate military action against the nation until the Jarridian government sees it reasonable to accept a ceasefire agreement and enter diplomatic negotiations.

The Empire reiterates that while we will support Doomingsland and our CAD allies militarily in active defense of our homeland, we do not condone the action taken by the nation of Guffingford in blockading the Meditterannean Sea and will continue to withhold support for this nation. The Empire also intends to continue negotiations with all nations who have agreed to send representatives to the Austian conference, and will honor ceasefire agreements for the duration of the talks.

Currently the Empire is deploying her 3rd-19th battlefleets to conflict areas around the Doomingslandi subcontinent, and has initiated an airlift of Imperial RA units into the nation itself to aid in her defense. The Empire will be enforcing strict no-fly zones over all Generian airspace, and any non-authorized flights will be shot down.

OOC:Actualy, there's still a godmod in there. You can't just RP your bombers taking off and arriving over the target in the same post. What you would do is RP them taking off, then, in the next post, RP the bombers coming to the edge of my airspace, or something like that, since they would almost certainly encounter a whole lot of resistance before they even arrived at the capital.

Canad a-Looks good now.

Now let's get this show on the road!

IC:

As the world outside of the monorail's compartment sped by at around 200 miles per hour, the lights lining the tunnel walls seemed to blur, along with everything else. Maximus, like his Legionaries being transported to the mountains with him, was trying to catch a bit of shuteye. He'd gone to war many times before, but this time the stakes were far higher: the survival of his homeland was on the line. Failure was certainly not an option.

He lay stretched out across a padded bench seat, his armor and wargear stowed beneath him. In less than an hour, he would be arriving to take command of 3rd Army, integrate the legions he'd brought with him, and await the arrival of the three divisions that were now on the run from Jarridian forces.

He'd never expected to fight a war on his own soil. As a boy, he'd trained in Jararium. He doubted the ability of the enemy to cope with the terrain. Of course, they'd learn just why no one has ever been stupid enough to invade by noon.

Taking his mind off of that subject, he remembered that Generian forces would be moving into the mountain fortress, and his uncle Rurick would be coming to visit.

Maximus was a Generian prince by birth, being the grandson of Emperor Antonius I, his mother being the Emperor's daughter, his father being the Emperor of Doomingsland. When not off training, he was often in the court of his grandfather. Due to his sheer size, muscular build, and cold personality, he easily unnerved the courtiers, and reveled in this ability. He had but one friend at the court: his cousin Varus, now at the peace talks in Aust. He either hated or was indifferent to everyone else.

His grandfather was another person he could trust, but he was constantly surrounded by groveling nobles.

He smirked at that prospect. When he was Emperor, he'd make sure such occurances of groveling didn't take place. After all, he expected his countrymen to only grovel on command. If they did so at will, how could he expect to rely upon them to do their duty?

None of that would matter if this war was lost, of course. He knew that victory wouldn't be all that difficult, and had a grand scheme in mind to absolutely humiliate the WWA and Jarridia. This would be a most entertaining 'war', if one could call it that. When his victory had been achieved, the conflict would more or less be refered to as the world's largest and most realistic live fire excersise.

He began to doze off, a grin upon his face. Honor and glory awaited him...

OFFICIAL IMPERIAL STATEMENT TO JARRIDIA:

To the Jarridian government:
I have seen that you have refused to peacefully resolve this situation, instead choosing to land troops in Doomingsland. I have finally reached my limit of patience. In light of your attack on Doomingsland, I have authorized the Fourth Imperial Crusade to be held against your nation. The above forces have been readied for battle and are prepared to engage your forces in Doomingsland. I hope that they will not suffer casualties in large numbers, but if needs be, we have many more men at our disposal. These are but the first squeezes of the vast constricting fist of the Imperium and we have not yet shown our full strength. Yes, you outnumber us vastly, but my warriors are determined, powerful, battle-hardened, and ready to die. You, on the other hand, have committed yourself to an attack you cannot possibly sustain, with a vast demand for supplies that with even the tiniest effort by your enemies will be unsatisfied. I respect you as an opponent, and one last time I request that you stand down your forces and remove them from Doomingsland. Further, we point out that if you truly desired peace, you would have attended the peace talks in Aust, which tells us that your true aim is war. Very well then, you shall have it, and you will regret it. The war has begun.

CHARIOT High Command Center, classified location in the Empire

His Potency Supreme General Seth Jamaane, Lord Regent of the Imperium, strode purposefully down the hallway, his guards not far behind. As commander of the Immortals, he was second-in-command of the entire Imperial Legions, yet he still had not been briefed about the invasion of Doomingsland. Pushing into the War Room, he edged through the crowd towards a door marked BRIEFING. Gently opening it and slipping inside, Seth listened and watched as Imperator Jakran Vuell, his immediate superior, briefed the High Command members on the invasion.

“As you can see, the Jarridians landed here, at this river delta. Securing the beach, they unloaded armor and other vehicles for four hours, before pushing deeper into Doomingsland. Around this time cruise missiles from Jarridia, heading to Crematoria, came over the desert and were shot down by the Doomingslandian military, which right now is gathering force farther inland, having suffered very heavy losses in the initial hours of the invasion.

“So, gentlemen, as you know, this is top secret. The Council of Prefects will not be consulted, nor will the Imperial Council, until our counterattack has already begun. The Fourth Crusade is upon us, gentlemen, and we have assembled an amply large force for that purpose. Five carrier groups, millions of Legionaries, dozens and dozens of aircraft...we are ready to fulfill our mission. The Jarridian government will be notified...” he said, an evil grin spreading over his face, “in good time.”

“So, our strategy is this. The Jarridians have stupidly committed themselves to an attack that can barely be supplied, and will not be if we have anything to say about it. We will cut their lines of supply, then we may consider landing our ground forces to destroy the Jarridians.”

Sacred Emperor Lucifer stood up, grinning. “Very well put, Imperator. Now, the Fourth Crusade is the most honorable assignment we can give. Therefore its commander must be someone with great strength of will, blessed by the gods, lucky, and brilliant. Seth, would you stand, please?” The Regent stood, bewildered. Everyone had expected command of the Crusade to be given to the Imperator. “Lord Regent, I name you the commander of the Fourth Crusade. Go to the rendezvous point, and lead our warriors to victory!”

Supercarrier Nightmare, flagship of the Fourth Crusade Naval Wing

As the Regent’s helicopter landed, Commander Silenus Kun-Dra signaled the bridge. Slowly at first, then with increasing speed, the vast ship lumbered into motion, plowing through the icy seas towards Doomingsland. Looking around them, anybody would call it a sobering sight.

Ten carriers all told, in five carrier battle groups, led by the Nightmare and another flagship, the Leviathan, surrounded by battleships, dozens of destroyers, missile cruisers, not to mention the vast landing ships themselves, filled to the brim with the Imperial crusaders. It was one of the greatest honors given to a soldier in centuries, since the Third Crusade. The Jarridians would get a true Imperial ass-kicking.

Some hours later, the ships came across a Jarridian supply line. A series of small ships detached itself from the main force and swarmed out over the seas. One by one, mines dropped into the water below. Dozens. Hundreds. This region was effectively cut off and the first convoy to come through here would notice that only after the first mines detonated. Returning to the group, the minelayers resumed their course, but several submarines left the formation and began to patrol the area as ordered. Meanwhile, the five battle groups would continue the anti-shipping duties, assisted by regular Imperial bombing runs from the shore, and each time leaving a few submarines behind, easily able to destroy lumbering supply ships. When all the overlapping patrol areas were established, the fleet changed course and headed for Doomingsland, the men aboard the landing ships cleaned and readied their weapons, prayed, and most of all exulted in the pleasure of fighting the enemy in a grand crusade.

Message from Imperial High Command to Doomingsland:

As you no doubt are by now aware, we have taken steps to interdict Jarridian shipping, and we will soon land troops on your soil to fight the Jarridian infidels. We request the privilege of cooperating with your forces, and that you intensify efforts against the Jarridians to remove pressure from our landing points where we will be most vulnerable. May the gods be with you in your righteous fight.
Wirraway
10-08-2005, 21:04
After months of training and workups the Wirrawayan millitary was still nowhere near the elite fighting force it had once been. There were a few exceptions though, namely the Wirrawayan Marines.

Even in the time of choas and Civil war the Marines had held together on the side of the Coordinator even as other units defected to the opposition. Having fought many a fierce battle during the 5 years of war the Marines came out in better shape than the had entered.

For this reason it was no surprise that the first units dispatched to Doomingsland were 2 Divisions of Wirrawayan marines. 5 Heavy Armored, including the famed Burning Skull division, would follow later along with 10 Mechanized infantry divisions.

Off the Coast of Doomingsland the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battlefleets arrayed themselves in a fan pattern, their combined radar and air cover scanned the entire coast of Doomingsland.

Land based F-22 squadrons along with B-1 and B-2 Bomber groups went on high alert as did all ground based radar and SAM systems. Perhaps the most deadly weapons lurking off the coast of CAD were the Navalized Tomahawk SSMs, real ship killers.

Supreme General Seth Jamaane stood silently on the bridge of the Leviathan, watching the sailors below scurry about. They were rapidly closing on their Wirrawayan allies, preparing to take the fight to Jarridia once more. He looked out the window and saw the Nightmare, another of the Crusade Fleet’s flagships, churning up the waves before it as its titanic mass pushed through the sea. Around them were dozens of warships, from the smallest missile boat to the Leviathan itself, the second largest ship in the entire Imperial Navy. Turning away from the window, Seth faced the communications officer and asked,

“What’s our ETA, Lieutenant?”

“We will reach the planned rendezvous point in roughly fifteen minutes.”

“Excellent. Have the following message sent to the commander of the Wirrawayan fleet.”

The man gestured at a subordinate, who turned on a recording device and handed Seth a tiny microphone to speak into, and he began to record his message.

“Sir, I am not aware of your name and rank, but I will assume for efficiency’s sake it is equivalent to my own. Our ETA as I am sure you are aware, is a quarter hour, and at that time I invite you to come aboard the Leviathan, at which time we will meet at last, and help us to confirm our strategy and begin the next step of our operation. You of course may bring any of your subordinates that you feel necessary for any reason. I look forward to seeing you. Leviathan out.”

Handing the mic back to the communications operator, he ordered, “Send that to the Wirrawayan fleet commander immediately. Meanwhile, when we reach the rendezvous point I want us at combat readiness in case the Jarridians decide to crash the party.” Turning away, he walked off towards the Admiral’s Quarters, where he could take a nap before getting to the rendezvous point.

Official Imperial Statement

The Empire, noting the aggressive actions taken by the nation of Jarridia against longtime Imperial allies, the Borman Empire and Doomingsland, and further noting the fact that Jarridia has yet to send a representative to the peace conference currently underway in Aust, finds itself with little choice in the matter of what is to be done. Admiral Von Stuben paced the teak paneled floor of the Battleship Rotterdam restlessly. For 2 weeks now his carrier groups had been on station with no sign of enemy activity. A seasoned commander, Von Stuben knew how quickly men could lose their edge wating for action. There is only so much tension and constsant alertness a man can stand before he starts to fatigue. Already he was seeing signs of it among the crew on his ship, the downturned heads, stooped shoulders and quick arguments all attested to a growing sense of unease in the fleet.

"Maybe I should schedule a wargame or some other..."

"Sir, message incoming"

"From who?"

"The Warmaster fleet, Sir. Here is it"

The Comm Tech handed Von Stuben the message, who then sat down to read it.

After two full readings he sat down to compose his response which was immediatly sent back over encrypted channels to the Warmaster fleet.

I am heartened by your arrival, together with our allies we shall crush these invaders before they even have a chance to see CAD. By the way you are correct in your assumption, I am High Admiral Martin Von Stuben of the Concordiat Navy, which I believe, after consulting my CAD ranking equivalency manual is more or less on par with your position. But let us not waste time with this. As soon as our fleets have merged I will take a tender out to your command ship where we can discuss our strategy. Together we can win the day.

After the message was sent the Admiral grunted to his aide

"Don't they have one of those Super Dreadnaughts?"

"Yes Sir, their Leviathan is one of the largest ships afloat."

Von Stuben snorted, he had never cared for the oevrsized battleships which he deemed to damm fat and slow to ever make a difference. But then again Von Stuben had never seen one in action, he made a mental note to pay close attention to its performance in battle.

OOC:Well, I'm not exactly going to allow your army to just walk away unscathed after killing a bunch of my people, so we might as well ignore it. That, or you could just write one last IC post where your army runs out of food and dies. Either way works.

OOC: And of course its not unfair to just leave everybody hanging like that. Uncool, my macrocephalic friend. Uncool.
