OOC: A few Scouts and such good enough?

IC:
A combined squadron of Wraiths, Scouts, Valkyries, and Corsairs was despatched to aid in controlling the sky, and to deal with the various ground units that may have AA capability, their purpose was air-superiority, but they wqere no slouches at ground attack either.

OOC: Now, here is how you fix accidentally attacking your allies:

IC:

"Hold your fire men, they're Kraven forces, allies, I repeat, hold your fire, they're allies."

To TKC command units: "Our apologies, call off your troops, we thought you were Alliance forces, call off your attack, the city is pinioned between our forces, we have them captured between us, just let us handle this."

High in the air lasers caused shields to flare and dim, while cloaked wraiths pounded out missiles into the oncoming fighters, and plasma torpedoes from the scouts followed up, side by side with valkyries HALO packs and corsair neutron flares, they were well matched, less maneuverable in the main, but some were invisible, and others were heavily armed and armored, all in all it was a relatively even fight.

For the Coredian fighters, it was a tough battle, having to face invisible ships and powerful weaponry. For the invisible ships, the fighters had to turn their scanners on to full power, and switch through various media to detect them...

The corvette, however, was the heaviest-armed ship of the friendlies and dished out slicing beamlasers and missiles at every enemy it could find. And it began to play it's music, jamming the enemy sensors to aid the friendly forces...

Losses:
3 fighters.

Protoss shields still flickered now and then, as the enemy found a target that had not been totally drained, or that had lived long enough to recharge a little, wraiths dropped in and out of cloak, confusing the enemy, giving them no clue as to their true numbers(about 50), while the valkyries(75 all told, down from 90) all concentrated their HALO salvoes against the Corvette, nothing could take their beating for very long, even a battlecruiser had to fall under such an onslaught in a short amount of time.

The corsairs were doing their part, attacking the Corvettes ability to fight back, with targeted Disruption Webs over the turrets, keeping attacks from getting in or out, the hotons of the lasers were broken up by the Webs energies, as were all other energy weapons going in, but the boduy of the ship was still at viable target for their Neutron Flares.

06-08-2005, 22:45
The Hatarian Land Forces in Numonaica were Runing to the Ships, but with help. Nadia had Fooled the Coreworlds forces and headed for TKC Controled Territory.

She was now waiting for them in one of the ports, this was a Retreat and a Evacation. The Hatarians were Leaveing Numonaica and NOT Coming back.

Hataropoils, Hataria.

Empress Serena know that the Warfleet and The Rescue Fleet were attacked. The War was becoming a deadly game of Cat and Mouse. Her Generals were already Planning and Offenseive against CoreWorlds it self and She had sent a Message to Cas'rai Gon'dor'ri for help.

The War wasn;t over till She said so...or Hataria and her Allies were defeated.

Outnumbered, outgunned and outmatched, the remaining fighters died in fiery explosions, and the corvette was disabled and forced to flee the area, calling for heavy support against the new enemy.

Moments after the apparent victory, out of the skies came a large number of fighters (about 48) to do battle against the new enemy forces. But what was different was that twelve of them appeared to shoot uncannily accurate shots at the Protoss enemies, even the cloaked ones. The 12 fighters leading the charge were XJ3-model X-wings driven by the best of the best: Rogue Squadron, made up of the best Jedi fighter pilots handpicked by Daniel Masaki himself...

The other 36 fighters were...not there, yet they were, blasting at the enemy. Spectre fighters, piloted by the Shinobi, ninjas like Naruto and his Team Seven...

The fighter reinforcements have arrived! What appeared to be a near-victory was now turning into an air war of attrition, one where it would take more than a few moments to win...

Daniel:
The tree began to fall and the two of us jumped away, landing on our feet like cats.

"We attack together." I said and Sasuke nodded. Red and green lightsaber hissed to life and we advanced on the Sith Lord...

The Marines have by now seen the rout and called for air support to finish off the enemy forces. A flight of X-wings and two gunships flew low over the battlefield, strafing away with red beams of destruction or an occasional torpedo. After all, we don't let up on the enemy until they surrender.

OOC: Who are you assaulting? I'm confused.

Darth Bankai went underground, 89 feet down and was now about to come up under the Jedi Warriors above him.

The other Sith were being killed, only 23 of them where alive. The Grand Army soon Surendered while the Sith Fought on.
Hakurabi
07-08-2005, 05:02
OOC: Really? Okay, I'll kick it down to 300Mw. That should be weak enough to contend with MT, and powerful enough to fight FT fighters.

There are four fighter wings, each with 11 Timberwolves and 3 Witchhunters

Witchhunters have a jam radius of around 200m

And Cassiopeia, I seem to recall you saying at one point that your lightsabres were powered by the force...

IC: The Freighter and its escorts moved through the Coreworlds formations and descended to the warzone, an the freighter set itself down whilst the MCV and the Vindicators moved to evacuate the area.

The Fighters, however, were hunting powerful prey.

But first, caution.

A message was sent to the Coreworlds fighters and ground combatants for any Force-Gifted to avoid all Hakurabi fighter formations, lest they be stunned by any kickback from the jamming devices.

A fighter wing (Gamma) stayed with the freighter, whilst another (Delta) escorted the evacuating army.

Alpha wing [Alt. 100m] zeroed in on the location where a Force-Gifted (Darth Bankai [Alt. -89m]) had just dissapeared, whilst Beta wing strafed the remaining Sith.

Hopefully Alpha wing would get there in time to flatten the Jedi (This word is unknown to the Hakurabi) wherever he was. As they approached the location, they finally noticed the two other figures holding beam swords. The fighters attempted to pull up.

OOC:
The plan here is to jam the Force and kill Bankai by interrupting his maneuver. Note that the fighters are assuming he's just gone invisible or something and are trying to uncover him.
CoreWorlds
07-08-2005, 05:15
OOC: Lightsabers are not powered by the Force, Hakurabi. You should know better than that.

IC:
I felt the Force disappear from my senses, and noticed the perpetuator. I groaned as it was an allied fighter wing with the ability to jam to Force and whipped out my comlink. "Allied fighters, pull away now or you'll hit us as well as the enemy! Pull away immediately!"
Hakurabi
07-08-2005, 07:51
OOC: Of course not. But Cassiopeia claims his are, and as such, I'm taking that into account. I could claim a 120mm Cannon needs only two AA Batteries, and insist on that. Of course, that's a bit exaggerated, but some things can be said similarly. I regard most beam sabres as just that - energy sabres. If I had applied the 'force powered lightsabres' to all said weaponry, I wouldn't have specifically stated it to Cassiopeia. I'm pretty sure it occured during his first raid on Earth.

I think that it originated as an attempt to keep it from being used by enemy soldiers, but, of course, if it can be tapped into, it can be flushed.

IC:
The fighters disengaged their Jammers and pulled out of formation, reforming again further on and moving away.

If the Cassiopeian had been hiding, the lapse should have revealed him by now.

"Many apologies. Pulling away."

Alpha wing headed off to hunt the Sith around 500 metres away.

To: The Command of Mini Miehm
From: The Forward Command Base

All units have been ordered to stand down, casualties were minimum, we hope it was the same for your forces, Our forward attack units are advancing upon the city as we speak, combined our forces will converge upon the centre.

the forward attack group of 3 battalions comprises of this

250 Leman russ battle tanks, in each battalion

500,000 Captiol police troopers spaced out across the battalions

including air support, in the form of VTOL attack craft, transport and Bombers

an armoured core of Chimeras and basilisks, hell hounds and Demolisher leman russ variants.

The Kraven tanks returned fire on Coreworlds, their LAATS impacting on the armour of the tanks, one tank exploded in a rain of metal, but another simply glanced off the front, the armour of the leman russ is designed to reflect the energy of a lazer, dissipating the beam into the air around it, hence the survivability of these one of the heaviest tanks in the Corporate war machine...

another leman russ opened up with a volly of bolter fire, the rounds hammering into the vegetation ahead of the formation, capitol police troopers took up firing positions and laid down a hail of bullets, their GPMG's spitting death left and right, their optical systems enhancing the view of the battle field

in the city of Grenoble, the forces of the Corporation began to converge, moving through the suburbs and seizing buildings, traveling slowly making sure no snipers or traps had been laid, the populace was being rounded up, and moved into concentration camps...

Death and destruction rained on the Coredian forces. Men bled and died, soldiers were torn apart by bolter shells and explosives. But they fought. They fought for an ideal, that of justice over tyranny. It was a strong ideal, strong enough to keep them fighting on this land far from home. Blasters chattered with fervor, spitting deadly spears of light at their enemies. Projectile weapons also joined the fray, sending supersonic bullets into the enemy forces.

As for the tanks and walkers, the General has ordered a counterattack on Kraven Corp units near Lyon to cut them off from the city. Turbolasers and hypersonic shells lanced out at the enemy as the troops carried out the orders, struggling to protect the city from the tyrannical regime that is Kraven.

in the city of Grenoble, the forces of the Corporation began to converge, moving through the suburbs and seizing buildings, traveling slowly making sure no snipers or traps had been laid, the populace was being rounded up, and moved into concentration camps...
Probe droids and high-flying scouts were sent to the city of Genoble and surrounding concentration camps to monitor and photograph events and broadcast the war crimes in the making to all forces, especially the other enemies, in hopes of isolating Kraven due to their distestable practices.

At the request of the Force-Gifted, the fighters were staying away from the battle, and mostly circled the area, trying to observe the spectacle from above.

Constant scans and recordings were made and transmitted to Naval Command, where they were forwarded to the research institutes working on relevant projects.

miles from the battle, capitol police maning the massive guns of the Kraven Artillery began running to and fro carrying massive shells and altering the tragectory of the weapons, the massive elongated barrels of the Basilisks slowly raising towards the sky, their aim at some distant target many miles away from here...

an officer stood with a radio, he nodded a couple of times, acknowlegding to himself what he'd been told...

"CO-ORDINATES 3... 5.. 4.... ALPHA 5 5!"

the Capitol polce began to alter the barrels tragectory again, turning handles and opening breaches... another trooper slid the shell into the breach, then with a slam the breach door was closed.

The trooper stood back, then the officer nodded again....

"OPEN FIRE!" came the order, roared out so every trooper could hear...

then one by one each of the basilisks opened fire, bright plumes of flame errupting from the barrel as it sent a massive shell hurtling towards the distant target of core worlds forces, the very earth around the basilsks shook, hence the actual cannon being refered to as "the Earth Shaker" because it literaly causes minor earth quakes at the location of the weapon and at the location of the shell impact point...

this continued for over an hour, the basilisks firing and reloading... firing and reloading a constant cycle until the order came to stop...

then the Capitol police broke from cover, a few shells falling a stray and killing several squads of Troopers but these were acceptable casualties and the corporation pushed on...

The Capitol police advanced in a staggerd formation, laying down covering fire with flame thrower and assault cannon, the leman russ tanks following behind targeting walkers and other armoured veichles....

fire from the LAATS impacted into the turret of the leman russ and killing the commander, the main battle cannon usless...

The Kraven blitzkreig hammered on....

A sudden invisible energy gripped his throat and squeezed tight, hoisting him in the air.

"That's nice." I smiled as my hand seemed to squeeze something tight. "My name is Daniel Masaki. Now, Sasuke!"

Sasuke made some hand-seals and chanted: "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!"

A large ball of fire spewed forth from his mouth at the Sith Lord. At the same time, I summoned lightning from my hands to strike at Bankai. "I am your worst nightmare! One who wields the light and the dark in balance without fear! You heard me right. I am a Jedi Knight, sworn to defeat the Dark Lords that foul the galaxy, sworn to do what is necessary to defend the weak..."

Bankai knew it now, he was being force Choked, he was dead meat Now. Then before he could try to fight back, be became Fried Sith.

the Capitol police pushed up, fireing as they moved, gpmg's flaring into life, suddenly supersonic bullets ripped through the battalion, cutting down unsuspecting Troopers, their bodies riddled with bullets, others however survived the onslaught their protect gear withstanding the impact the weapons.

A walker literally disintergrated under the onslaught of the artillery, forcing the men to call for counterbattery fire.

"Sir! We need cover, over!" A Sgt. Glory cried out, just before he was killed by an explosion.

From a fair distance from the front lines, a SPHA-T heavy artillery battery charged up its energy and lanced out for the Basilisks in the distance, leaving craters and molten slag whereever it touched. It was followed up by shells moving so fast, fiery trails from heated atmosphere was the only sign of them. 'Meteor shells' they were called, fired from mass-driver artillery platforms. There were two kinds, depending on how they killed their targets. One used pure kinetic energy, literally punching holes in their target and letting the energy transfer do its work. The other kind was packed with powerful explosives, leaving mushroom clouds and craters whereever they landed. The troops had no choice but to take cover in ditches and trenches as shells and energy beams roared overhead.

this continued for over an hour, the basilisks firing and reloading... firing and reloading a constant cycle until the order came to stop...
Over said hour, an artillery duel took place, each battery targeting, firing and reloading, rinse and repeat until the whole area became covered with the sharp tang of battle smoke. When the duel died down, it was the Marines' turn...

then the Capitol police broke from cover, a few shells falling a stray and killing several squads of Troopers but these were acceptable casualties and the corporation pushed on...

The Capitol police advanced in a staggerd formation, laying down covering fire with flame thrower and assault cannon, the leman russ tanks following behind targeting walkers and other armoured veichles....
The Marine Corps had an advantage of being defenders and the terrain being a little hilly, and they occupied a high point, firing down upon the enemy forces with blaster and projectile rifles. They were aided by treaded and hovertanks, also charging forth to defeat their Leman Russ opponents.

Air support was also called in, in the form of the quick and nimble LAATs and the less quick but no less nimble Super Apaches. It was combined arms at its best, coordinating efforts to defeat their enemy.

fire from the LAATS impacted into the turret of the leman russ and killing the commander, the main battle cannon usless...

The Kraven blitzkreig hammered on....
The blitzkreig may have hammered on, but they met a stoic anvil, pushing against them as the Marines bogged their enemy down by flanking them and then squeezing them tight until they had no room to breathe...

I sighed in relief and called for a speeder to take us back to HQ. Finally, the most dangerous enemy in the lands has been defeated. But now, there are other enemies to deal with. Like the Kraven Corporation. From what I know of them, they are close to the Empire in their tactics, meaning they are probably top-heavy in their command structure, with little in the way of initiative, for all dictatorships hate initiative. If I can take out their leadership, the troops can more easily be dealt with. But for now, the four of us can rest for a little while before getting back in the battle.

a Super Star Destroyer, The Revenge, was orbiting the Planet Neherenia, The Flag Ship of The 10th Imperial Starfleet. Cas'rai was Talking to a Shadowy Person, she wore a Cloak and hood. Cas'rai knew a Sith Lord when she saw one and the news this one Bought was bad.

Darth Bankai was dead, Killed by The Jedi.

"Darth Bankai was week," the Sith Lord, Darth Imperia said. "With his death, The Jedi would attack your galaxy next." Cas'rai was now scared, Bankai was the ruler of the Cassiopeian Empire...Now she was the Ruler.

"You must go to Hataria," Imperia said, "Meet with Empress Serena and General Nadia and plan the next Campaign against the Jedi of CoreWorlds." "Yes Lady Imperia." Cas'rai said. The Holoprojecter shut off.

"Head for Earth at once." Cas'rai ordered and the Revenge head off to Earth.

The "invisible" fighters were a problem, but the Wraiths were just as hard to spot, giving them an equal advantage against the other 12 of Rogue, blasting out missiles and burst lasers, while the Valkyries and Corsairs used their high volume and rate of fire to take out the fighters they couldn't target, tracing the bursts back to their points of origin, while Scouts and Wraiths concentrated on the less numerous but better piloted XJ3 models.

Working together in flights of four, each fighter wing proceeded to make short work of their tough opponents. The Rogues used their Battle Meditation skill to avoid enemy fire and concentrate their own fire upon the enemy, picking each fighter off one by one every few seconds. It appeared that they fought as one. But they nearly wavered when one of the younger pilots was hit by enemy fire and disintergrated in a firey blast. The 11 remaining pilots then worked to 'fill up the hole' so to speak and continued to decimate their enemies in pairs and a flight of three.

The Spectres lost about four of their members at this time, but they used the advantage of ninja reflexes and stealth to one-up their opponents in the second round. They, like the Jedi, attacked the Valkyries and Corsairs in pairs, doubling damage given to the enemy. The Coredian forces are not going to go down so easily!

The twin AA units were being ganged up on, but they still outnumbered the enemy by 2:1 in total, and the Wraiths and Scouts had the XJ3's outnumbered even more heavily, closer to 3:1, and they were taking the beating better than the Air-Superiority units were.

"Don't worry, kid. I'll be ready. Just give 'em hell!"

I grinned. "You bet, sir!"

I ran over to the makeshift fighter base at the HQ and made sure that my X-wing was ready to go. "Rocky, we're going up! You ready?"

My astromech twittered an affirmative reply. "Great! Let's go!"

He ignited the engines as I jumped into the cockpit. I checked that my torp tubes were loaded and my fuel was full, and lit off into the sky. The shields momentarily dropped for me and I roared towards the combat zone, S-foils in attack position...

OOC: I'm just going to sit this one out until the battle is taken to Cassiopeia/Coreworlds. Not much I can do at the moment.

See, if this conflict draws out long enough I can 'perfect' a personal 'force cloak/jammer' and use it to destabilise the situation in Cassiopeia and incite a revolution. That would cripple the war production, as not only is Cassiopeia on full alert, but on maximum production as well. I've already got a few thousand defected Vex, and from there I can obtain around a hundred 'Vex' agents and bring a popular revolution around. With the second loss of a leader in a very short time, the societal fabric is probably weakening. A lot.

Several fighters deployed salvage pods to collect up the remains of the fallen droids (both Cassiopeian and Hakurabi), discarded lightsabers (Mostly Cassiopeian), and miscellaneous wreckage from the fallen mechanical warriors.

After salvaging as much as possible, the Hakurabi fighters returned to Upsilon Andromedae to submit the damaged equipment for analysis. Meanwhile, a number of Timberwolf wings were assigned to escort duty for the Coreworlds supply lines.

Meanwhile, the Intelligence department saw an opportunity to break the spell of the Cassiopeian populace. Their long preparations may finally have an opportunity to crumble the opressive government.

Before the Cassiopeians could prepare a public statement, a massive array of Communications Vessels formed and bathed the Cassiopeian populace (ie. Overriding media) in a special announcement.

One of the Vex Defectors (A paticularly well known one) materialised in front of them.

"Cassiopeian Brothers, I address you upon a very important event that occured very recently. Bankai has recently died, in a foolhardy attack on Earth. Yes, Once again. You will now be shown footage from the scene taken from overhead fighters. You will note his choice of words to be... Choice.

We have all been had for sheep, pawns to a regime that is using us for naught but a war machine. As you will notice, I am alive and well, and for those who know me better, I have gained some weight. Rise, my brothers, and together we shall restore the name of our great nation amongst the grand intergalactic community! Too long have we suffered under the weight of an insatiable war machine! Too long have we allowed ourselves to become complacent! Co'ran! Shah'Reek! Vex! Draconians! Demons! I call upon all of you! Together we can mould a new Cassiopeian Empire! We can make ourselves a shining example in these dark times! We have suffered under an iron fist for too long! Now is our time! We shall fulfil our destiny."

Laugher filled the air of many Worlds in The Cassiopeia Galaxy, The Vex Traitors were mad, Darth Bankai may have died, but Warmistress Cas'rai Gon'dor'rai was The ruler now.

Many of the Talk shows all over the Galaxy were Calling the call to Rebelion, and it was the Harukabi that destroyed the old Homeworld. The Vexs that were Loyal to their Galaxy even said "The Traitors are as Dumb as rocks." most Cassiopeians even think they were Brainwashed.

The Co'rans were pissed off at the idea of The Traitors calling for a Rebelion. In fact, The Imperial Council soon put a reward of 4,000,000,000 Imperial Dollors for the heads of the Traitors, and every Bonuty Hunter in The Galaxy soon was after them.

Wraith cloaking fields were failing, drained of power, but there were still more of them, many more, they were only dropping one at a time, and they could get three of them on almost every enemy they faced, some had ony two on their tails, but that was of liottlwe consequence, the enemy was still outnumbered, and reinforcements were on the way, Interceptors, Genesis Squadron, twenty of the best pilots in the Dominion, piloting the toughest ships in the Dominion, those twenty ships were easily a match for a frigate on its own, they should be plenty well matched against the Rogues they were facing.

:Firestorm, this is Foehammer, all wraiths, break off, Genesis is on the way.:

An attack on popular support right after the death of a leader will seriously cripple a war machine.

Size does not = unstoppable. In fact, it means that when a political leader gets himself killed, it takes far longer for the government to regain control, if at all.

The last time I forced a (temporary) halt in the war machine I had to use the equivalent of a WMD. Must I do it again to even stand a chance of kicking up rebellion?

Maybe I'll try bumping off another leader and try to make your seemingly single-minded populace actually think about the futility of it all.

Could you please provide a more realistic response to a non-military attack?

Or do I have to use a starship with a bomb that forces people to think? Overt military action appears to be all you respond to.

IC:
'x' Timberwolf fighter-bombers were deployed against the SSD Revenge (Where 'x' is the 1.5 times amount of fighters in the Revenge), intent on destroying the craft and yet another warmongering leader of Cassiopeia. Any descending objects were swatted, and the ship was raked with laser and missile fire, coupled with the occasional anti-matter bomb hurled into the bridge.

The Cassiopeians obviously counterattacked and followed with an improbably large amount of reinforcements despite the fact that Hakurabi was far closer to the battlefield.

As the Cassiopeian reinforcements arrived, as they always would, 'y' fighters and 'z' battlecruisers would join the fray in response. ('y' is the same amount as the number of ships and fighters combined, and 'z' is 1x the amount of ships of battlecruiser or lower in size plus 2x the number of ships between dreadnought and battlecruiser plus 4x the number of ISDs plus 6x the number of SSDs, plus a full 10x the number of USDs. I figured I might as well express my forces in relative terms as I can never numerically field enough ships and fighters to actually defeat a Cassiopeian Fleet.)

The transport was on its way, to the homeworld of the speaker, where the campaign could be begun. With it were 'a' Heavy Fighters, and 'b' Frigates. (Again, this number increases in direct relation to the forces deployed against it. 'a' = 'y' , and 'b' = '4z')

OOC: Your move, Cassiopeia. You'll need to use tactics this time, not just a neverending stream of ships. You send a cloud, my ships multiply into a cloud.

And yes, I am kinda angry.

I've also got this sneaking suspicion that I'll be made an example of, too.

Genesis was outnumbered, but not outgunned, with more weapons on every Genesis class Interceptor than any three XJ3's in the enemy ranks, and leaving them on equal foting when it came to guns, and better shielded and armored than an XJ3 could ever be, they were slower than the smaller Bloodpath and Gravebane Interceptors, but they were heavier and tougher to compensate for their loss of speed.

Do I have to shoot you with a physics-defying cannon to make you realise that all of your populace are NOT always with you? Is your propoganda infalliable? Right, in response I will send 'x' superships where x is the total size of your navy in cm^3.

Damn, this is going to take a while. I cursed inwardly. "Rocky, scan for weaknesses in the enemy!"

My astromech whistled in compliance and tried to lock on one of the enemy for a scan. (If successful, think of Final Fantasy Scan)

"Rogues, Spectres, lure them upstairs!" I ordered as the Rogues dodged the chicken runs. Another fighter went down. Luckily, they weren't one of the Rogues.

The Rogues then zoomed towards outer space, trying to lure the enemy into a position where we have the speed and agility advantage...

This Attack soon made EVERY Cassiopeian Mad, they now wanted Blood and The Vexs were Targets of Murders all over the Galaxy. Some Cassiopeians were thinking of Useing the two Ultra Star Destroyers and Blast the Harukabi Homeworlds to bits!

But cooler head preveiled and The Cassiopeian leader, Cass'rai Gon'dor'ri now planned to take a Shutlle with Fighter escourt, with Anti-Ship Torpedoes.

Hataria: I know it's not an attack, so my assault is an intercept and destroy (a.k.a. Assasination). As you can see by my previous actions, I'm trying to destabilise the political system in Cassiopeia by systematically eliminating leaders and later, ministers. The Idea is to cut off Cassiopeia's FT support by forcing a revolution.

Many apologies, but I'm kinda annoyed at the fact that my attacks don't seem to be getting through. Trust me, I'm not going to be doing things like this all the time.

Cassiopeia: And vice versa to you. ALL Cassiopeian's mad? Or just the ones in power?

I figured that since if I actually state a constant figure, and not a variable, you would simply beam in several thousand new ships, possibly supercraft.

Note that you've just done the equivalent of ignoring my anti-matter weapons.

It's also a way of preventing joint planning with Hataria, thus weakening your joint offensive capability.

And now that your population is whipped up into a genocidal rage, it'll be all the easier to remove the key players of your Reigime.

IC:
The Cassiopeian had escaped, this time. When another ship came, the Hakurabi Fighters would be ready to destroy it. (OOC: This will mean that your war leader will need to fight her way there. I'll field fighters and jammers as you field yours, just not in relative terms. I had a bad day yesterday.)

On the other hand, the transport and escorts had successfully arrived in a small village, the hometown of the speaker (I'll call him Sh'Mar Kon'Dir).

As he arrived, the village was in shambles, hate gangs generally terrorising the populace.

Sh'Mar almost had a heart attack when he saw the mess. Hastily gathering up a loose crate, he stood upon it, with a megaphone.

"People! What are you doing?" The question boomed out for all to hear. In a small town like this, everyone recognised the voice.

Everyone turned to the direction of the noise. Numerous people came outside to see what the commotion was.

"Why are you all doing this?" The people were now gathering around the makeshift podium. From the back, someone yelled "Traitor!"

Sh'Mar turned to face the dissident, a face he once knew. "Dss'na'nira! What's happened to you? I remember, you always went on about how you would save everyone in the world! What happened to those dreams, Dss'na'nira?" The draconian's hostile expression first wavered, then she broke, sobbing. This emotional outburst, coupled with a few others, eventually made the village realise that they have been fighting with their own friends for the sake of the government's war.

Slowly, over several months, the village people cooperated and rebuilt the small town to greater than its former glory, and the resistance effort found a new home. There would be further steps to take, but the Cassiopeian Government did not know of the village yet, and so it was safe as of the moment.

The first step on the road to freedom had been taken.

Cas'rai wasnt' a Fool and now word of a rebel, working for Harukabi, was trying to start a Rebelion, all of Darkkaan was mad at the idea of a Vex Traitor trying to destroy The Cassiopeia Galaxy's Governmet.

Well, Cas'rai soon started playing their Game....By Makeing Cassiopeia a Republic again.

The New Governmet, still under Cas'rai Gon'dor'ri, was to Make sure the enemy wouldn't try to start a Rebelion, by funding Local Defense Forces to Gaurd against a Rebelion.

another thing was to Build a Transporter system to undermined Harkuabi's Blockade of Earth, and to do surprise attacks anywhere from The Cassiopeia Galaxy to anywhere in The Milky Way. In fact the tests showed that it could work, and Cas'rai was now useing it to head for Hataria.

the last part of Cassiopeia's new war plan was to destroy the Trade Routes heading for The Harukabi Homeworlds, Pirates from all over the Galaxy were now being payed by The Cassiopeian Senate to attack all enemy Shipping to The Harukabi System.

The boiling dogfight soon took a turn for the worst as all of the Genesis squadron began to attack the Rogues. Twenty on ten wasn't fair! Although they seemed to have forgotten the Spectres as that squadron dove in to aid us in fighting off the Genesis among the backdrop of capital ships in the area. Hey, wait a minute...

"Rogues, try to lure them towards the Star Destroyers!" I ordered, dodging fire from Valentine before braking and letting loose with a volley of Force-aimed laser cannons as she overshot and flew past me. As ordered, the Rogues dodged and weaved towards the much larger and more powerful Star Destroyers, attempting to use their heavier weapons as a 'shield' of sorts.

Rogue 5 was hit by the Tachyon guns and had to bail out of the fight, limping towards a hangar bay as her fuel was trailing out from the cracks. Rogue Six still fought on, using himself as bait to lure the leader towards a hail of turbolaser fire from the Megalodon.

"Damn! Damn them to hell!" I cursed. These Mini Miehm folks are very, very good. For every action we launch upon them, they counterattack well. If only we were allies, instead of enemies...

The Megalodon had no choice but to switch targets from the fighters to meet the enemy ships with more powerful antiship turbolaser batteries and missile swarms. Her sister ships, Event Horizon and Darkstalker sided with her to take on the other two ships, also firing meter-thick beams of destructive green light.

As for me, I looped back to take on the leader with Kartion, allowing Rogue 6 some breathing room as we double-teamed him. I also ordered a Lancer cruiser to give us some cover fire, its antistarfighter laser cannons best for this kind of dogfight.

The twin quad blasts shivered armor off of Foehammers front hull, after the torpedo had taken down his recently restored shields, luckily he dodged two of the first lances of energy, reducing the damage to the Interceptor, the second blast hit square on, but the rear shields wre still intact, and they were merely dropped to quarter strength, and no damage was incurred to the ship from Rogue Leader this time.

The shields of the first ship, The Leviathan herself, flared, dimmed, and buckled under the power of the ion cannon, but very little bled through to the ship, and what did was well within the power of the dampers to handle, the other two were just as poorly off, their shields were down, and in the one case, enough power had bled through to temporarily disable the Yamato Cannon, but all of the other weapons wre working fine, and the burst laser batteries returned fire, the half dozen fore batteries on each ship reached out with cobalt fury at the CW ships that dared to attack them, while not quite the equal of Turbolaser batteries, burst lasers were still a force to be reckoned with.

The faltering Behemoth was wracked with cataclysms, power runs surged and died, while weapoins overloaded, or shut down, either way it was effectively crippled, but Alpha-Strike took a toll on its user, it would be weakened for a time, and now, together, the Ceolecanth and Leviathan struck, avenging their fallen sister against the Megalodon, they wqould not be so easy to beat, now they were mad, and backup was certainly on the way, lighter gunships would sting them to death, and the Dominion would know victory.

I hung on Foehammer's tail like a dog on meat and nibbled away at his defenses with each sweep of my laser cannons. I was readying my proton torpedoes...when a twittering stopped me.

"Huh? Rocky, you have something?" I asked.

The computer translated my droid's beaps and whistles into Basic: COMPILED INFORMATION ABOUT ENEMY FIGHTERS.

"Really, let's hear it!"

ARMOR APPEARS TO BE STRONG AGAINST ENERGY WEAPONS. VULNERABLE TO PROJECTILES AS A CONSEQUENCE. BULLETS, RAILGUN SLUGS, ETC.

"Oh, now you tell me!" I groaned. I knew I should have called in the Shinobi Cruisers, but it's far too late now. Hindsight and all. Well, I guess all I can do is use my torpedoes. I still have a full rack, but now I know it's time to use 'em.

IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPIER, THE ENEMY FIGHTERS ARE SLOWER THAN YOURS.

"Oh yes, leave them in the space dust. Perhaps they'll choke on it." I replied sarcastically as I pulled up the torpedo targeting program. I selected dual-link, meaning that two torps will be launched instead of one. And then with the Force as my ally...I let 'em loose upon Foerunner...

Rogue 6, however, has begun to notice a LOT of ships as he moved around to the other side of the moon...

"Order an artillery strike." The Commodore smiled coldly. Though the Megalodon and her sisters were recharging from the Alpha Strike, they were not undefended.

At the edge of the battlefield, the two remaining Artillery Star Destroyers charged up their main weapons, drawing power from almost all other systems, and then unleashed twin blasts of blue-green energy, each one aiming for the two Leviathan battlecruisers. As for the enemy gunships, the Strike Cruisers moved to cover the Megalodon and her sisters as they recovered.

OOC: Not so much a blockade, more a seek-and-destroy zone. There are patrolling fighters, and there are a large number of fighters on standby, ready to assault any ships that attack. Note that the transporter can and will be traced and attacked.

Well, if you're going to make it a republic, I can count on the peaceful tactics to work all the better. Not that I'm not going to try to undermine your governmental seat of power.

It just makes it a whole lot less bloody. And that's good.

Oh yes, Hataria: Usually that kind of wording comes off as arrogant and makes others somewhat indignant and will work deliberately to prove you wrong.

IC:
---Upsilon Andromedae II---
The news of the Cassiopeians attacking foreign trade was somewhat a boon to the war effort, for the pirate vessels were typically laden with goods from previous attacks, and the ships were a good source of scrap metal for the fabrication of further ships. As the main trade was only in electronics and luxury items, trade could be shut off for the time being. A warning to traders was sent regarding the Pirates, and advice to discontinue trade with Hakurabi for the time being or contract heavy escorts.

In the meantime, a variety of ambushes were used, almost identical to those that the pirates themselves employed, such as false distress beacons and dummy freighters, were employed to kill pirates and salvage their valuable cargo. Sooner or later they would catch on.

---A small planet in Cassiopeia---
The Cassiopeians had reinstated the Republican governmental form, and financed the police force well. This could be turned to their advantage, if their cards were played right.

The government had taken a few steps for them.

Originally, they had planned to gain support and destabilise the government by assasinating important officials, but this way was a lot easier, and much less bloody. The sith would still need to be 'removed', of course, but that was another issue.

The campaign was going to move onwards. The some of the people of the small town travelled the entire planet, recruiting support for the newly christened the 'Cassiopeian Democracy Party', and making contacts in all of the major positions of the planet.

Meanwhile, several agents travelled by passenger ferry to various major worlds in the republic along with townspeople, where they campaigned there.

However, the objective of Sh'Mar was the capitol itself. Along with around twenty of the agents, and many of his old friends, they travelled to the planet, where they would ensure no more of this madness would be done.

Of course, the bounty hunters were still after them, and there were a few instances where that personal shield generator came in handy.

Most of the other agents began their monumental task - slowly, and steathily, with forcejammers, systematically extinguishing the lives of the sith in Cassiopeia.

(OOC: Maybe we'll RP one of the more important senators' assasination attempt. The ForceJammers even the playing field, but more importantly, the assassins are armed with monofilimental swords (a variable beam of atoms, held together with an energy field, that can cut well through matter and is almost invisible to the naked eye. Cauterises too, a bonus.) and X-Ray Rifles. (With sniper sight and zoom.))

The Leviathan evaded a good deal of the blast, but an entire engine section was blaset off, as well as 3 ventral burst-lasers, but they still kept up their attack, beaten and bloody they fought on, though the Ceolecantrh was less lucky, taking the full brunt of the attack on its already damaged shields, and losing most of its guns to the blast that got through, it wasn't out of the fight, but it was not combat effective by any peace-time standard.

The Grizzlies and Legion Gunships advanced on the enemy forces, thhey would not be stopped by anything so simple as Strike Cruisers, there were 300 of each Gunship type, the cruiseres were badly outnumbered, and probably outgunned as well, since they wre facing Gunships, armed with, in the grizzlies case, four sets of twinned Grav-cannon, ten burst laser batteries, dual missile launchers, and a single PDC, the Legion Gunships were even more heavily armed, having twinned PDCs, ditto missile launchers, and ten 16 inch Grav-cannon, larger than the Grizzlies cannon, which were only 10 inch.

Now they attacked the strike cruisaers in their way, first unleashing missiles and PDCs, then their Grav-cannon, they concentrated their fire, ten to each strike cruiser, while the rest kept going on after the Capitol ships that werer their true target.

Behind the moon, tucked away in shadow that kept them from being found, there lurked an entre carrier fleet, the few arbiters with them were not enough to hide it in entirety, but they did give thge appearance of a much smaller fleet than their truly was, approximately half was visible to the enemy, while the other half was safe inside the arbiter cloaking fields. As soon as they saw Rogue Six, there was going to be trouble, over 600 scouts fired on that single target in that moment of indecision, over 1200 missiles sped through space trowards the light XJ3 that had spotted their fleet, and then the Carriers reacted, disgorging the lesser Interceptor squadrons, made up of mixed units, not single types in conglomerate wings, but 12 ship flights oif mixed Genesis, Gravebane, and Bloodpath interceptors, no less deadly because of their inexperience, it was doubtful that the Roues would survive this experience.

Foeammer and his remaining squadron, three had been forced to duck out by accumulated damage, were having a hard time with the rogues, they just wouldn't die, and now there were torpedoes coming up Foehammers ass, he dodged one, but took the full brunt of the other, losing half his engiune output to the damage, and on top of that, he lost almost all of his rear armor, though his shields could recharge, without armor he was significantly weakened on his rear quarter, so he did the unexpected, he still had vector-control thrusters, and he used them to turn himself around to face his foe, 6 was doomed, now Rogue Leader would feel the pain, he let loose all of his energy weapons at once, straight into Rogue Leaders fore-shields, nothing could survive that battering for long.

"Ma'am! Weapons are online again!"

"Very well, resume the assault. Concentrate on the Leviathan!" The Commodore ordered. The three Star Destroyers resumed bombarding the Leviathan, now that that ship was weakened by the artillery fire. The Ceolecanth was dealt with by a mass of bombers who threw anti-ship torpedoes and missiles into it to destroy it.

Outnumbered, yes. Outgunned, no. One of the Strike cruisers exploded under the onslaught of the enemy weaponry, but the others were supported by a mass of turbolasers and torpedoes from the Victory Star Destroyers and sheets of destructive fire from an Imperial mk II Star Destroyer, who were much more powerful than the Cruisers. Following up were a second wave of Wolfpacks, who used their maneuverability to overcome the enemy fire and unleash their own laser fire to destroy the enemy.

"Lead! I got numerous contacts, coming from behind the moon--AHHH!" The overwhelming fire turned Rogue 6 into a small ball of fire, releasing a curse from me.

A trap...and we fell for it. I groaned. At least we can overcome that. I clicked the comms to the Tyrannosaurus, who were not quite engaged with the enemy. "Captain, there are enemies behind the Moon. Execute Swarm Mode when you engage them!"

"Aye, Commander!" The captain of the Tyrannosaurus smiled. So we play our trump card. Let's do it.

The Elite Star Destroyer, the real sister to the Megalodon and her fleet of two mk IIIs (the same ones engaging the Leviathans), two mk IIs and three Missile Cruisers moved into position to engage the newcoming enemies.

The Missile Cruisers, upon hearing the order to execute the Swarm Mode, started lighting off their first volley of hundreds of different kinds of missiles, from large antiship missiles to the tiny antifighter missiles at the incoming foes. There were so many missiles that it appeared to be a cloud advancing upon the enemy.

The missile swarm was followed up by a wave of Vulture-type droid fighters and buzz droids released from the Star Destroyers, designed to overwhelm almost any opposition with sheer numbers, speed and maneuverability. The buzz droids were said to be almost living projectiles, hurtling themselves at the enemy to latch onto fighters or larger ships and effectively make short work of them with sharp monomolecular blades and cutting beamlaser cannons. The hand has been dealt. Would it be a royal flush?

I sensed the attack and rolled to dodge it, using Force-honed reflexes to avoid most of the blasts, but it nibbled at my shields anyway. "Rocky! Keep those shields up!"

My droid toodled in reply and got to work as I dodged the fire and moved off, circling back and firing another torpedo at Foehammer, then following up with laser cannons in this second pass.

The battered Ceolecanth had had enough, and retreated, limping away from the attackers that had savaged it so badly, but it sent one last shot towards the Megalodon, the Yamato gun was ready to fire again, and again twin blasts were sent towards their massive opponent, by both the Leviathan and her sister ship.

Most of the turbolasers were fired randomly, not really hitting anything, those that did hit killed shields and damaged the ships beneath in a single blow, but none had fallen yet, no matter what they brought against them, they were still numerically superior to their foes, and that may well be the turning point of this fight, the many guns of the aptly named Gunships were still pounding out their lethal payloads, a few were battered by the fire they took, but none had yet fallen.

As soon as the enemy swarm came in range there was an even more massive outpouring of weapons, missiles and neutron flares all pecked away at the swarm, the massive explosions of the Valkyries HALO missiles were capable of taking out 2-3 at a time if they wre bunched close enough, while the speed of the flares let them kill an enemy and move on to the next in just seconds.

While the fighters engaged the swarms, the Carrier-variant Dreadnoughts began their attack, Interceptor squadrons went in close to peck away at the Big-T, and massive PDC batteries took out their ire on the Big-T'sd shields, hammering away at them, until they had the opportunity to unleash their true weapons, gargantuan Grav-cannon, propelling shells 3 feet in diameter at over .3c through vacuum, nothing could take many hits from that, which was a good thing, since they couldn't fire many shots either.

The remaining 7 Leviathans remained out of sight in the arbiter cloaking fields, soon there would be more than just Leviathans in there, and then things would get interesting.

Foehammer directed all of his shields to the fore array, they went down anyway, but he took minimal damage from the bleed-through, and he returned fire, even while he was being rocked by the laser impacts against his armor, which splintered and shattered under the blows, but held up admirably under the damage it was taking.

Genesis squadron was giving a good acount of itself, the best from two nations were facing off, and it was effectively a draw, 9:9 with no one giving up in this fight for survival.

Finally, as the Yamato blast left the Leviathans cannon,. the warp-tear opened, pulling it, the Ceolecanth, the battered and crippled Behemoth, and probably the Megalodon, through to the center of the fleet formatin behind the moon.

The Megalodon shuddered under the blasts of energy, the shields desperately shunting energy away, but the energy bled through, holing the hull near the bow section, creating two gaping wounds that streamed out crew, droids and everything else not tied down before the atmospheric containment fields worked to close the gaps. But she and her sisters fought on, and fought hard, sending their own blasts of heavy turbolaser fire into the Leviathan.

The Vicstars and Impstar Deuce were not giving up against the horrendous number of enemies. They flooded the area with turbolaser fire making it a hazard to even get near the capships, and were aided by the Wolfpacks and fighter squadrons swarming around them. But there were so many enemies...

The Tyrannosaurus point defense cannons took down most of the shells, but several places were hulled as she fought off the enemies with her escorts and her own powerful weaponry. And then she called for artillery support...

Methodically, the Artillery Star Destroyers turned their main weapons upon the Dreadnoughts. They concentrated on one large ship at a time. One would shoot the blue-green blasts, then five seconds later, the other would shoot. In this way, they staggered the times between shooting and reloading every five to ten seconds, ensuring that each enemy dreadnought would be destroyed, one by one. If a ship was destroyed, the ASDs would change targets and keep up the long-range bombardment until nothing was left.

The remaining 7 Leviathans remained out of sight in the arbiter cloaking fields, soon there would be more than just Leviathans in there, and then things would get interesting.
Indeed things would get interesting, for the Megalodon has begun to order reinforcements into the area. Powerful reinforcements.
OOC: They will arrive next post.

Foehammer directed all of his shields to the fore array, they went down anyway, but he took minimal damage from the bleed-through, and he returned fire, even while he was being rocked by the laser impacts against his armor, which splintered and shattered under the blows, but held up admirably under the damage it was taking.
One more will do it. One more torpedo. I thought to myself as my own shields flared under the Foehammer's assault. I went deep into the Force, 'seeing' each shot as slow and easy to dodge, then wheeled around once more. I sent a mental attack into Foehammer's brain to distract him, then loosed yet another torpedo into him, guided by the Force, flying straight for his cockpit...

Genesis squadron was giving a good acount of itself, the best from two nations were facing off, and it was effectively a draw, 9:9 with no one giving up in this fight for survival.
Bolstered by their leader's fighting, the Rogues used their own torpedoes to take that number down a notch, often two or even three at a time. They were aided by a corvette to reduce the squadron into nothing...

Finally, as the Yamato blast left the Leviathans cannon,. the warp-tear opened, pulling it, the Ceolecanth, the battered and crippled Behemoth, and probably the Megalodon, through to the center of the fleet formatin behind the moon.
"Reverse engines!" The Commodore ordered as the warp-tear yawned open for a moment, almost dragging the ship in. The engines and hull groaned, but it was successful. "All right. Let's deal with those gunships."

The Star Destroyers then switched targeting to the smaller and more numerous enemy gunships, bolstering the Impstar Deuce and the Vicstar escorts immensely.

Cas'rai was still in Control, and now the word of Assasins hunting down The Dark Jedi. The Senate soon Passed The Force User Protected act, makeing it Ilegal to Kill anyone Strong in The Force in The Cassioepeia Galaxy that wasn;t a Enemy.

also The Cassiopeians were Finnshing a New Superweapon, The Galaxy Gun, a long tube that could fire large projectiles. Each projectile was designed to destroy an entire planet; however, there were low power settings allowing them to destroy selected cities and military bases. As an added measure, the projectiles were capable of traveling through hyperspace with a speed nearly as fast as the Millennium Falcon, allowing for quick traversal of interstellar distances and difficulty in detecting them until they struck. It could easily have been a deterrent that would frighten star systems.

The First Target would be Upsilon Andromedae II, one of The Homeworlds of Harukabi. The Revenge of The Cassiopeians for Destroying the Old Homeworld would start soon.

As for The Rebels, The Cassiopeian Military and Police Forces were now watching out for Assasins and Rebels.

OOC: They haven't begun yet, and are not associated with the political party. The rebels have not rebelled, and the assassins have yet to assassinate.

Say, isn't it illegal to kill people anyway?

Mind you, the Galaxy Gun is a WMD, and as such, will be ignored in such a way as to make it totally useless for all its claimed power.

IC:
The Cassiopeians were enough of fools to attempt to destroy Upsilon Andromedae II (The news of which has inexplicably reached the ears of government officials), and a special defence was created (in a matter of hours) which locked the system into its regular path as like an atom. This also had the side effect of creating a sort of shield around the objects on the planets, and would prevent a targeted long range attack (Which was impossible without a nearby spotter). Also, the force-cloak had been perfected (Within ten or so minutes of the news), allowing an individual to 'camoflage' with the background force, and being totally undetectable to force-users. The modifications were sent to all agents, who modified their jammers apropriately. They now had a device that could not only conceal them and make them appear to be totally normal, but also to jam use of the force.

---Neherina, The Cassiopeia Galaxy---
Three cloaked assassins lay in wait in in buildings and wandering as if another commoner, as a fourth accosted Darth Imperia.

The Jamming field was on with the three other assassins, waiting to attack if Darth Imperia fought dishonestly.

The fourth drew both monofilimental swords, and addressed Darth Imperia.

"Darth Imperia! I am En'Ada'Enai! You have been a scourge to my homeland for long enough! Prepare to meet your end!" (OOC: This one, as an important character, I'm going to try and duel out.)

A personal shield generator would prevent any projectiles or blaster shots from being used against him, but this was a personal match.

The monom swords were on, invisible (nearly) beams of death extending from them. He waited for the Sith lord to draw.

A small crowd had gathered to watch the spectacle.

---Homeworld, The Cassiopeia Galaxy---
Sh'Mar took a deep breath, and exhaled. The first order of business is to find a suitable campaign headquarters.

A group of agents moved to find a good building to purchase for their political campaign, whilst the others headed for city hall to register their intent to run as a political party.

En'Ada'Enai took out a compact first aid kit, and began to treat the wound.

The impostor felt a blaster at her stomach.

With the expectation of torture, the Impostor had closed her eyes, and when En'Ada'Enai began cleaning up the blaster scar, the Impostor was so caught up in the expected torture and death, the pain felt paticularly excruciating.

The nanites did their work quickly, and soon the leg was good as new, and the impostor had been stripped of all weapons.

"Now will you tell me where the real Darth Imperia is?"

The Impostor was surprised enough to look up and find herself intact once again.

Realising she could have to go through it again if she angered him, she quickly spilled all.

The Assassins headed off to the teleporter (one way or another), and sent a message to the Hakurabi - 'Darth Imperia Is on Earth in Hataria. We're going to seal them there, and you're going to need to pick up us later.'

Another agent team came over to the area, and the four assassins went through the teleporter. When they were through, explosives were placed on the teleporter machinery and the device was destroyed.

(OOC: And I suppose Imperia will have gone through already, in response to this post. That would really be pushing it.)

OOC: Really? Right. I'll try to change that. Very many apologies.

I've just found that with Cassiopeia, deliberately targeting his ships/characters in non-lethal points always seems to cause said ship/character to be killed instantly. If I successfully capture or disable said ship/character, they will self-destruct or commit suicide in some way.

Well, let me know if I godmode again, and I'd appreciate suggestions on how to improve.

The Vicstars and Impstar Deuce were not giving up against the horrendous number of enemies. They flooded the area with turbolaser fire making it a hazard to even get near the capships, and were aided by the Wolfpacks and fighter squadrons swarming around them. But there were so many enemies...

Indeed things would get interesting, for the Megalodon has begun to order reinforcements into the area. Powerful reinforcements.
OOC: They will arrive next post.

Bolstered by their leader's fighting, the Rogues used their own torpedoes to take that number down a notch, often two or even three at a time. They were aided by a corvette to reduce the squadron into nothing...

Gunships were being picked off by the wild fire of the ISDs, but there were enough of them that they could stay well spread out and avoid the worst of it, many fell under the onslaught, but many, many more stayed, fighting on with a determination that defied reason, unleashing all of the weapons they had as fast as they could fire them.

As each Dreadnought fell, another seemed to take its place, almost as though they were appearing frtom cloak, in fact they were hallucinations, created by the High Templar to keep the enemy occupied while a proper response was readied, one involving very large guns, and the ships that bear them.

OOC: Reinforcements huh, I guess two can play at that game.

Megalodon may be callng for backup, but so were the Protoss forces, and their would arrive much sooner, what can be used to retreat can also be used to bring troops in, and they were already entering tyhe warp-tear, now they just had to arrive.

One more would have done it, if he hadn't been warned by the jedis attack, he reacted instantly, dodging the torpedo so that it merely scorched his wing, instead of killing him.

The attacks of the Rogues were a nuisance, but there were losses, a pair had to duck out until their shields recharged, and one was destroyed, but they kept up their return fire, thesy might not be as fast, but they were much more maneuverable with their Vector Control Thrusters, allowing them to literally turn on a dime.

One of the Star Destroyers, a Victory, was soon having its shields flickering under the onslaught. It appeared that it was about to go out with a bang, but it would take down as many gunships as possible as it moved towards the thickest portion of the gunship fleet...

"Hmm. Some of them appear to be illusionary. Order the driod fighters to swarm the dreadnoughts and show which ones are real." The Scoper's captain suggested to the Tyrannosaur captain.

"Right." The captain sent orders to throw the remaining droid fighters at the dreadnoughts with relative abandon to reveal which ones are real or not.

"Damn!" I cursed. I have only two torpedoes left and this guy is seriously turning into a pain in the ass. "One Flight! Form up and take this guy out!"

Rogues 2 and 3 soon zoomed in and lit off a torpedo each straight at Foehammer before moving off. With three people attacking him, me with a quad-burst of laserfire, I doubt he'd survive this final attack. Even if he somehow did, this would ensure that he was crippled for a while.

The gunships ripped out volley after volley, they knew they ewre doomed as the enewmies they were fighting, they were only buying time for reinforcements to arrive.

False though they were, the Dreadnoughts still had physichal forms, that was how they could keep up the illusion, sure they would destroy a couple more real DNs, but most would survive, and the droid fighters would be picked off by the few Interceptors that had sayed close to their motherships.

The Squadron wasn't going to let Rogue Leader have his way that easily, they interdicted the two Rogues that were going after Foehammer with very abrupt applications of Paralax torpedoes and TTCs, again Foehammer dodged the worst of the attacks, he was a Psion after all, and that meant he still had a fighting chance.

The Corvette was performing a little too well, it attractred some attention, very explosive and hostile attention, a cloaked Wraith squadron opened up on it, followed by the entire Wraith wing for that group, it wasn't like being attacked by Valkyries, but it was still unpleasant.

The gunships would not see the reinforcements arrive as the Vicstar, near breakup, overloaded its reactor core in the center of the gunship fleet and blew apart, sending a shockwave out that incinerated anything in its path that were too close and even shook the larger ships. How many gunships survived as the shockwave cleared?

"So, they're like the Kage Bunshin jutsu the Shinobi like to use..." The captain of the Tyrannosaur mused. He knew that it was an effective defense. The only thing was that they couldn't keep it up forever. "Missile cruiser Gorgon, move in and fire a second volley!"

The large Star Cruiser moved forward, spilling out a second volley of missile swarms at the Dreadnoughts, while the Tyrannosaur backed it up with mighty turbolaser blasts.

So...he's definitely Force-sensitive. I noted as he miraculously dodged the torpedoes. Only two real ways to defeat one of them. Overwhelming fire from different vectors or another psychic. And overwhelming fire isn't possible...unless...

"Any gunships out there, I need you!" I sent out.

"I'm on it, commander!" A gunship's captain replied and we quickly formulated a plan. Then the gunship roared into view as I flew away from the Foehammer, seemingly frustrated by the enemy commander's ability to survive everything we threw at him. Must we ram a Star Destroyer into him to kill him?

The gunship spewed deadly spears of red light, boxing the Foehammer inside a tight cone with limited maneuverability...

The Vicstar took out a good chunk of the formation, but about half survivced in various states of crippledom, many were battered and unarmed, while others were beaten and weaponless, most that survived still had some ability to fight, and did, the ones that could not either fled or died, depending on the damnage they had taken.

The Gorgon began to whittle away the fake DNs, they concentrated their fire on the offending ship, they may be destroyed quickly, but they had a lot of weapons to put out ion their short time they existed.

Finally Foehammer was out of the fight, clipped by a Turbolaser blast that destroyed his remaining engines and sent him hurtling into the Arbiters fields of safety, before being caught and held by a tractor beam.

The rest of the squadron was not at all pleased by the loss of Foehammer, temporary or not, they took it out on the rogues, letting loose every weapon they had left, nothing could survive that firestorm unhurt.

The Wraiths were mostly inconvenienced by the random fire, cloaked as they were the fire actually had little effect on them, they just kept up their attacks on the blasted corvette, and eventually split their fire between the 'vette and the gunship that was now supporting it, concentrating their fire on weapons and other such items, giving them an opportunity to lessen the blows coming at them.

Those who continued to fight were dealt with by the turbolasers while the Star Destroyer crew counted their losses. One Victory Star Destroyer was gone, the second was crippled and had to jump away to a repair station, and the other four ships were in varying degrees of damage. But this battle was over and the ships began to recover.

The Gorgon began to whittle away the fake DNs, they concentrated their fire on the offending ship, they may be destroyed quickly, but they had a lot of weapons to put out ion their short time they existed.
The Gorgon had triple-layer shields, so it had a lot of staying power against the enemy forces. But the first layer was getting stripped away, even as it sent off more missiles, coming down to half of its total magazine capability.

The Tyrannosaur helped it by unleashing heavy turbolaser blasts combined with large blue globs of ion cannon fire, a deadly combination indeed.

Finally Foehammer was out of the fight, clipped by a Turbolaser blast that destroyed his remaining engines and sent him hurtling into the Arbiters fields of safety, before being caught and held by a tractor beam.
I sighed in relief, but was intruged by how the Foehammer somehow 'disappeared'. I reached out into the Force...and gasped. Inside the giant cloaking bubble was another fleet, a fleet that would be able to destroy us all. I smirked evilly and contacted the Artillery Star Destroyers. "Captain, I would like you to fire your SPHA-Ts at sector 3-5-Alpha-1-1."

"There's nothing there, commander." The captain frowned.

"Trust me." I insisted. "There's a fleet hidden there."

"Very well." The Captain sighed, and ordered a randomly placed flak bombardment upon the sector where the hidden Leviathans were waiting. Flak isn't as powerful as a fully-charged blast, but it produces a faster firing rate to cover the sector. A small number of missiles were also randomly tossed from the Gryffon, Gorgon's sister Star Cruiser to force the Arbiters to reveal themselves.

The rest of the squadron was not at all pleased by the loss of Foehammer, temporary or not, they took it out on the rogues, letting loose every weapon they had left, nothing could survive that firestorm unhurt.
A concentration of Rogues (now 6 left) and Spectres (13) began to deal with the remnants of the enemy squadron by firing their last torpedoes and missiles at the enemy squadron as they made final passes before returning to the Megalodon. This battle was nearly over as well.

Now that Foehammer was dealt with, the Wraiths had three larger ships to deal with, although the Corvette was getting increasingly damaged now, losing one of the main turbolasers in the process.

'Imperia' ran, an unexpected move, and one that blew the disguise. Cassiopeian Jedi had a record of being paticularly arrogant, and this one was not attempting to make an example of him. Instead, it appeared that she was trying to provide the false illusion that she was the true Imperia.

En'Ada'Enai pulled out a blaster, took careful aim, and shot the imposter in the knee.

As the decoy collapsed, En'Ada'Enai ran over to the Impostor, and pinned her with the handle of a monom blade (now off).

"Where is the Sith Lord?"

The Fake Imperia soon Grabed the Blaster from En'ada'enai side and Shot herself. The Only way to tell The Fake one from the Real one was this, The Fakes turned to ash when Killed.

I've just found that with Cassiopeia, deliberately targeting his ships/characters in non-lethal points always seems to cause said ship/character to be killed instantly. If I successfully capture or disable said ship/character, they will self-destruct or commit suicide in some way.

My point was just proven!

IC:
Nevertheless, the base was located by the team by virtue of energy tracing and deep scanning.

They force-cloaked, and used their monom swords to cut a hole into the base, and entered it.

Using their camoflage suits, the four moved to the generator, and cut the power, before tracking down Imperia (The Real One), and now shooting the Cassiopeian Staff Members indiscriminately.

This time, there would be no honourable battle.

The jamming fields were turned on, and the exits blocked.

(OOC: I'm forcing a battle, just so you know. The teleporter would be an obvious giveaway, as would the existence of a FT base among MT ones. Obviously, a FT base would require far more power, and therefore be distinguishable from any others. That, and long range comms.)

The four systematically headed down, destroying any and all electronic and power generation components in the base, hunting a very elusive prey.

Eventually, they came to The Real Imperia.

There would be no honourable battle this time.

OOC: Honestly, I had to push it like this, otherwise Imperia would have been made to Force-Vanish, and escape, engaging the destruct device, despite cloaking and camoflage, and the plan would go ahead anyway, and in a single paragraph ruining whatever I had set out in mine.

More than a dozen Admiral A-1s stagger to a halt, amid assorted internal explosions, emissions of smoke, and crackling electricity, as their crews bail out.

The remainder of the Admiral A-1s spread out to present harder targets, salvoing back a hail of 220mm linear gun shots and 155mm howitzer shells, aiming at joints in the legs and the bellies of the incredibly tall vehicles. Lion II tank destroyers quickly engage their hover systems and swerve directly underneath the walkers, firing away at point-blank range from inside the AT-AT's weapons perimiter.

Hound FMBs and other light vehicles carrying troops attempt to bypass the battle, headed for the remaining Hakurabi forces, utilizing their speed to avoid the AT-ATs and blazing away at anything fast enough to catch them with their assorted 40mm linear gatling guns, light missile launchers, machineguns, and assault rifles.

As the Coreworlds fighters close in on the lone Merethyn, it suddenly disengages the reciever array, and accelerates away from it's location (over a small lake) for all it's worth. The reason why is revealed a second later as the microwave power beam passes through the atmosphere and hits the lake, instantly causing a massive steam explosion. Unfortunately, the Merethyn isn't able to escape in time, and the massive blast flings it's broken wreck like a leaf through the air, pinwheeling the length of the entire battlefield until it digs itself into the ground somewhere past the city, exploding a second later as it's fusion reactor goes critical. The only consolation for the Axis Nova forces was that the steam explosion was likely to be quite lethal to any small craft near it.

However, this proves not to be the end-- as a SECOND laser circuit fires on an almost flat trajectory from the horizon. It appeared that one of the orbital stations was FINALLY within range-- and seconds later, this is confirmed as the last two Merethyn gunships disengage their OLED camoflauge while charging their main weapons, before releasing another incredible light show of charged particle fury towards the wavering Coreworlds ship, aiming for the the portions of the shields most damaged by the battle thus far.

At the same time, the Axis Nova airships somehow manage to increase their furious assault even more-- flushing every air-to-air missile in their magazines and firing the linear guns at maximum rate of fire in one massive final strike against the gigantic ship's shields. The destroyers and Lucifer had taken incredible damage-- it was time to end the fight now if they could. The display is incredible and almost matches that of the two charged particle cannon shots, appearing as if a constant sheet of flame connects the two destroyers and single Lucifer class engaging the giant ship. It is obvious that the gigantic air dreadnaught will not last much longer, as several large holes are blasted in it, and fire is streaming from many rents on the hull.

The smaller airships in the meantime continue engaging LAATs and fighters as best they can, while corvettes and UAVs harrass fighters and ground forces.

---

Meanwhile, the Axis Nova reinforcement fleet is on it's way, slowly closing on Numonica. It is more than ten times larger than the first one, and with it are two more of Axis Nova's five remaining Lucifer Class air dreadnaughts. An EWAC plane spotting the gigantic air fleet on radar would get a single solid return-- thus is the the size of the force slowly flying towards the battle area.

And elsewhere on the battlefield, special intelligence teams recover certain bits of technology from shot-down and destroyed fighters and LAATs, carrying it away for transport back to Axis Nova and study...

Massive explosions wracked the Acclamator as the combination of energy and projectiles blasted holes in the hull of the large ship, forcing it to rise higher and higher to get away from the enemy, even as it sent parting shots of turbolasers into the airships. Atmospheric contaiment fields were hard at work in plugging the holes in the ship before it reached space.

The smaller airships in the meantime continue engaging LAATs and fighters as best they can, while corvettes and UAVs harrass fighters and ground forces.
To finish the battle, the fighters and LAATs began to switch to their less numerous but more powerful missiles and torpedos to attack the airships, each one packing single-digit kiloton warheads designed for atmosphere warfare.

Spacecraft easily picked up the reinforcements and the last Victory-class Star Destroyer was sent through the atmosphere to deal with it, blazing away with turbolasers as it descended upon them like an angel of death. Fighters and corvette escorts from said Destroyer hurled themselves at the reinforcements, sending torpedos or laser cannons at them and then tauntingly zoomed back up into space before they'd attack.

And elsewhere on the battlefield, special intelligence teams recover certain bits of technology from shot-down and destroyed fighters and LAATs, carrying it away for transport back to Axis Nova and study...

OOC: Apologies for lack of posting the Corporation has been experiencing some technical difficulties... Normal oppression will resume shortly.

The Blitzkreig hit the anvil of the core worlds, they slowed the advance down... fire was exchanged between the two forces, tank vs tank, man vs man, Coreworld air cover roared over head blasting the Corporate lines, then they were joined by the Air Armarda, attack vtols hammered through the air weaving to and fro, suddenly halting with their vtol capability then quickly continuing the chase, assault cannons roaring with power...
Antiair missiles from the Hover MRLS systems were thrown at the Attack VTOLs, while fighters roared from above and behind to send lasers and missiles to their doom.

Leman russ tanks exploded in a ball of fire, others that survived the impact began to flank the Coreworld forces, they attempted to move around the defensive lines of the Coreworld, while bolter and battle cannon resonated with the symphony of battle,
The flanks were well-protected by hovertanks shooting a mix of mass-driver(railgun) rounds and turbolasers at the Leman Russ tanks who dared survive to flank the Coredian forces. They were aided by air units who strafed the tanks with bombs and missiles.

the artillery duel was over, quite a few basilisks had been eliminated, and crew killed, but the ones that remained were preparing to begin another barrage in the hope of weakening their lines
The barrage of the SPHA-Ts were not let up even as the enemy was beginning to be more and more eliminated. Hypersonic slugs and beam turbolasers continued to assault the basilisks, and also began to bombard other enemy forces on the front, clearing paths for a soon-to-be general assault.

in the air, a strike force of VTOL bombers headed looking to target the artillery of Coreworlds, the plan to silence their batteries so they could not reply...
Dropping out of the sky like wraiths, X-wings blazed away with their laser cannons, letting no bombers even get close to the artillery units.

It would soon appear that the cohesion of allied forces was far better than that of the enemy, and that is what would win this battle...

Back in Numonica, the gigantic Lucifer Class has finally had it; the final salvo from the Coreworlds forces manages to penetrate it's hull deeply, internal explosions wracking it's structure. Under the onslaught of the entire bombardment, the Victory literally glowed as the shields buckled under the attacks. A second blow will knock them down, but she is not about to give the enemy that chance. The Victory returned fire with a massive fusellade of meter-thick green rays of death. The fury of the Victory' alpha strike is perhaps matched only by her larger brethren, the Imperial-classes. Then it ascended to low orbit to avoid a second onslaught from the missiles and particle cannons and let her fighters and gunship escorts take care of the fleet as much as possible before it reached Numonica.

Meanwhile, a few fighters headed up towards space to deal with the orbitial platforms that created the laser line...

Bigger problems would soon prove to be in store for the rattled Victory Class, however, as laser lines spring towards the asteroid from the Moon and from several different points on the compass, though oddly enough, no beam is fired out... though the laser lines remain, and long-distance sensors detect massive amounts of microwave power being pumped to the asteroid from other installations...

The fighters and LAATs were forced to retreat from the enemy forces, but not after they put in a heavy number of torpedoes and even several sucidal crashes into some of the larger ships.

It would appear, then that the Coredian forces are soon to require a retreat from the warzone, as it was slowly getting overwhelmed by all the enemy forces.

A Star Destroyer's weapons, unfortunately for the asteroid, was far more powerful than mere nukes, directed in beams of energy that cause more concentrated damage than the area-effects of nukes. That directed-energy was now employed upon the asteroid, now that the Coredian VSD know where the particle cannon was coming from. Depending on the size, it won't take very long for the asteroid to be destroyed.

Even as the first turbolaser shots fly forth, a gigantic beam almost thirty times the size of the smaller Merethyn particle cannons shots fires from the asteroid towards the Star Destroyer-- as it flies forth it engulfs the turbolaser shots as though they are nothing and heads straight for the Star Destroyer.

Worse, the beam appears to be CONTINUOUS instead of just a single gunshot, an incredible finger of flame stabbing at the Star Destroyer packing more energy than all the weapon fire of any type released by the Axis Nova forces in the war so far put together.

The last thought of the captain before a brilliant explosion destroyed him and his ship was: Where the hell did they get a superlaser--

The explosion gave the Earth a momentary second sun and burned out CNN's closest news satellites. They will have to get new ones soon.

The beam passes on through local space, leaving a trail of explosions in it's wake as random bits of debris, satellites, fighters, and mines are caught or grazed by it, impacts the moon, and blows a crater the size of a small city, sending tons and tons of dust and rock flying up from the Moon.

While the Star Destroyer has been successfully destroyed, things have not gone entirely well for the power station-- a fact which is rather drastically illustrated by the several glowing craters in it where turbolaser shots have scored, and the charred, highly radioactive chunks of superconducting material being ejected from the asteroid. The main transmitter dish bears more the appearance of a cookie that a child has taken a bite out of than a dish, and is drooping in it's cradle.

For this power station, at least, the war is over.

In Numonica, the flaming wreckage of the Lucifer class continues to fall from the sky, along the way ramming into the two remaining Merethyn class gunships and splatting them like bugs on a windshield.

In the city, screams are heard as it's shadow falls over the city... though those screams are cut short a couple minutes later as the ship crashes, it's fusion reactors going critical and all the remaining ammunition and bombs and missiles on board detonating.

In a split second, a large city with hundreds of thousands of inhabitants is transformed into a gigantic dome of light, the massive explosion engulfing the entire city and shaking the entire length of the battle. Unfortunately, the Axis Nova lead elements are also caught in the blast as are many UAVs, corvettes, and frigates, and thousands of soldiers die in the immense conflagration.

The Coredian fighters and interceptors fought to keep the enemy bombers off the allied troops and vehicles. They had the firepower and speed, but the maneuverability was troublesome. It was a complete rout for the Coredian forces as they fought off the enemy forces and retreated into the waiting Acclamators. Many soldiers and vehicles died and a few more surrendered, awaiting the horrors ahead. The Acclamators themselves were impervious to the enemy assaults due to powerful shields as they poured turbolaser and missile fire into the advancing ranks of the Kraven forces. Fighters counter-harrassed the VTOL dive bombers and other enemy air units, fighting to remain aerially superior even as the retreat was sounded.

A concentration of Rogues (now 6 left) and Spectres (13) began to deal with the remnants of the enemy squadron by firing their last torpedoes and missiles at the enemy squadron as they made final passes before returning to the Megalodon. This battle was nearly over as well.

Now that Foehammer was dealt with, the Wraiths had three larger ships to deal with, although the Corvette was getting increasingly damaged now, losing one of the main turbolasers in the process.

OOC: The arbiters are visible, that's their weakness, you can see them, but you can't see the ships in their cloaking field, it's a trade-off, makes them balanced. And now you see their OTHER ability, you've already seen Warp Recall, now you get to meet Stasis Field.

IC:

The Arbiters certainly revealed themselves, one pair interdicted as many missiles and other ayttacks as possible with their Stasis Fields, another pair went after the Artillery ships, 4 more went after the Megalodon and her sister ships, then they deactivated their cloaking fields, showing the few remaining enemies what it was tyhat they were truly up against, a fleet, just as large as the one they thought they were facing, in truth the two units together comprised a single fleet, and they were not at all happy...

Many fighters and Cap-ships were still struck, despite the arbiters best efforts, a few missiles were always bound to get through, and the Stasis Fields were much less effective against lightspeed weapons, sao many bits of flack got through, enough to take out a fighter, but only enough to dim the shields of one of the massive Carrier-Dreadnoughts, much less a full-on Leviathan.

The Wraiths were in trouble nows, their cloaking fieldws were running out, and that meant that soon they would be shredded, so they redoubled their attack, concentrating their hundreds of attacks against a single Corvette, and, if they took it out, they'd move on to another target, and so on, until they lost the fight for survival they were waging above the sky.

Far away, against the ZMegalodon and her consorts, the battle was going poorly, the gunships had been whittled away to almost nothing, but they had not gone out alone, that Vicstar was out of it, another had to run, and the rest were all rather badly beaten, so the Grizzlies and Legions broke off their attack, leaving the hulks to stew in the temporary timeless void that they now occupied.

Rocky whistled morosely as he gauged just how many ships there are now.

"Damn." I cursed. We would need to call in the Duel of the Fates or Imperium fleets if this keeps up much longer!

The Artillery Star Destroyers then began to shoot full-powered shots once more, mainly at the Arbiter ships that was advancing on them. It appeared that though the enemy managed to somehow stop the missiles, lightspeed weapons like turbolasers were still effective against them, and thus they assaulted the Arbiters with the super-heavy composite-beam turbolasers that were their main weapons again and again.

The other Star Destroyers now began to meet their Arbiter enemies with their own turbolasers. It appeared that they were the greatest threats, as judged by the Commodore aboard her flagship the Megalodon. The Star Cruisers, furious that their weapons have been nullified by the Statis fields, turned them loose upon the other dreadnoughts and Leviathans in a bid to destroy at least a few of them.

They're finally losing. The Corvette's commander smirked, even as warning alarms blared. Well, let's take down the bastards as much as we can!

With a final roar of defiance, the Corvette and her gunship escorts made a 180-degree turn and stormed straight through the last cloud of Wraiths, firing all weapons before the Corvette finally detonated itself to take out the enemy.

With the gunship fleets defeated, the Megalodon and her escorts now turned their attention on the new fleet that appeared.

Unmolested by further enemy attacks, the Axis Nova reinforcement fleet continues towards Numonica. In it's wake, the wreckage of many fighters and LAATs slowly sink into the sea as shark fins circle the survivours...

--

Near the crater that once was the city of Grenoble, the surviving Axis Nova forces begin the process of shaking themselves back into order and preparing to move out-- as Coreworlds is retreating, the way to Lyon would soon be open and the 4000-odd Axis Nova troops remaining would surely be enough to take the city.

The Arbiters dodged as best they could, they were not nearly as nimble as fighters, but they were nowher near as slow as Capships, so they could avoid at least some of the attacks, and the ones they couldn't avoid had their power at least weakened by passing through the Stasis fields they had set up. Soon they would be close enough to use their Stasis Fields onthe ships themselves, and not just the missiles and other weapons that were being sent their way.

The Leviathans and Carrier-Dreadnoughts moved, fast, faster than they had moved in the entire battle so far, they went to flank speed and they were moving, as they closed the range on the Artillery class ships they unleashed their longest ranged weapons, Yamato Cannon and massive Grav-cannon, capable of going through an ISD the long way!

Only 20 battered and beaten wraiths survived the blasts, they were the lucky ones, farthest from the blasts, and a pair that were miraculously protected by plasma toroids at the center of the massive explosions.

Back within the safety of the Fleet a trio of Warp Tears were opened to draw the "reinforcements" through to their aid, three Militia-class ships, The Militia itself, and her sisters, Master of Puppets, and Leper Messiah, The Admiral who designed this class had been a big fan of Heavy Metal music, Metallica in particular, thus the heavy influence seen in their names. As soon as they emerged they wenmt to work, bearing down on the Megalodon, while DuGalle, a fan of the Metal age himself, flooded the enemy freqs with his personal favorite song, "Better Than You." it would be hard for them to issue orders over screaming Heavy Metal music.

The Artillery SDs soon realized that their time was up and began to move towards escape routes, as they shook from the impacts of the enemy weaponry. The captain shook his head as nothing in their arsenal could really fight this enemy, not without heavy casualties. They soon managed to make the jump to hyperspace.

I groaned and sweatdropped as I heard the Heavy Metal music and switched to a different frequency, the more smooth jazz that I favor. Ahh, that's better!

Meanwhile, the Megalodon was in very big danger as it saw the three new reinforcements bearing down on it. "Evasive action! I suggest we withdraw from this area and regroup!"

"Ma'am?"

"We cannot fight all of these forces, not without additional reinforcements!"

The Megalodon began to maneuver away from the enemy newcomers and warm up for a hyperjump. In the meantime, the Hokage revealed itself very dramatically, by sending a large asteroid barreling down at the Milita ships at near-c speeds, then following up with smaller but no less deadly railcannons and turbolasers. Plasma and railcannons also flew everywhere at enemy forces as the other four escorts decloaked and revealed themselves.

As the enemy forces still outnumbered us, we knew that it was more a delaying action to present new targets as we made our escapes from the battlefield. I, myself headed back down to the planet to Coredia with what's left of the fighter squadrons, shaking my head at the losses we incurred. It was a defeat for the Coredian forces, but we did manage to inflict heavy losses upon some of the enemies. Small consolation for a big war like this one.

But at least we know what our enemies are capable of, especially now that we have enough data on enemy forces to analyze and devise countermeasures for the day we fight them once more...

Eventually the music segued into Carpe Diem Baby, then into the perfect sog for the end of this fight, "Ain't My Bitch"... Megalodon was toast.

The Militia was busy taking out a very large and inconvenient asteroid, but 5 Yamato blasts are enough to destroy almost anything, and the asteroid chunks that made it all the way to the ship were no larger than a mans head, nothing compared to the power a real weapon could put out.

The remaining two ships let loose their entire Yamato arsenal on the Megalodon, it wouldn't get away after all it had done here, it had 10 Yamato Cannon blasts roaring up its tail, and if they were any judge it would take at least another minute for it to jump, it was doomed before it even started.

In among the fleet the remaining enemies were allowed to run, they were no threat if they were running, only Megalodon warranted any special interest from the fleet when it tried to flee, the rest of the true fighters were either running blind and battered, or dead, only Megalodon survived this scrape in reasonable condition among the enemy cap-ships, and that would have to be remedied.

"They're hitting our stern! Rear shields failing!"

"Reinforce them!" But there was little to reinforce, as the cannons blasted at the stern, pumping blast after powerful blast into the Star Destroyer. The Megalodon once prided herself on being able to survive every battle it's been in, including battles against the Shivans many years ago. But it seemed verily that this would be one battle the ship would not survive and the Commodore sighed, and prepared for the end...

...and the bombardment was still there, but far lessened.

"What just happened?" The Commodore blinked her eyes. She was sure the ship was done for, for the reactor containment fields were about ten seconds from detonation.

"Uh..." The scanner officer wiped sweat from his forehead, and looked at the screens. "It appears that Judiciary has managed to intercept them."

"Can we still jump?" The Commodore was saddened that her collegue captain had chosen to give his own ship (a Mk III) so that her own Megalodon can get away. She has known the man for years.

"Just barely, ma'am. Lost Number Two Engines, will be half as fast, but we can do it." The Helmsman reported.

"Very well, make the jump." And relief washed over the ship's crew as the familiar hum of hyperspace spread through the ship and it disappeared in a flash of psuedomotion, following her other escorts. The Megalodon will not see battle for another year or two as it would undergo very extensive repairs.

Meanwhile, the other Star Destroyer took the blows head-on, smashing its opponents with an Alpha Strike before a Yamato bolt detonated the bridge, causing explosions that permeated through the ship as more bolts tore through the ship, and another star was born for a moment, then it died as quickly as it was born.

The Hokage set off another two asteroids at the Militia ships before it too made the jump with its escorts. The battle was over. The Mini Miehms have won. The Central Powers have won.

The two other Militia ships were in a spot of trouble, without their Yamato guns they would have trouble stopping the asteroids, but maybe they could deflect them enough to avoid them, using their Burst-laser batteries, and that is exactly what they did, avoiding the hurtling asteroids by the slimmest of margins, having their shields skimmed by the HV rocks.

The rest of the mopping up was rather uneventful, the Rogues were sought out for capture and taken into custody if possible, if not they were killed, and not considered as a loss.

The forces of the kraven corporation continue to follow the forces of the coreworlds, as the troops were boarding their evac ships, the artillery bombardment stopped, the gun fire ended, and the roar of tank engines died down.. then two VTOL fighter bombers flew past, coreworlds troops fully expecting another dive or salvo, but instead they simply flew past their wings waving up and down in a salute... before banking and heading back.

the rest of the kraven advance had now split away from the main attack on grenoble, instead a large spearhead advance raced ahead of the main kraven formation, traveling as fast as the poorly constructed roads would allow, making a sudden dash for Numonicas Capitol city... Numodia

vast legions of Capitol police troopers marched across field and road, through town and village, each step took was another victory to the corporation, civilians were rounded up by the feared secret police, herded like cattle into trains and shipped down to the docks of southern numonica where they will serve the corporation on its own soil, the vast harvesters of the corporation were strip mining the valuable ore that made numonica so valuable, the sky line was darkened by vast black clouds of smoke released from the smoke stacks of these huge behemoths, they creeped slowly across the land, gorging themselves on the ore like some grazing animal, while inside machines and slaves churned out usefull items out of the ore, to be used in the vast war machine of the Corporation, GMPG's, Corporate Carbines, and armour...

The Kraven forces, unfortunately, would have no chance whatsoever to beat Axis Nova there-- as they're on land and Axis Nova forces fly.

Thus, not only does Axis Nova manage to beat Kraven to the capital, but even fortify it and install a military governor, and begin sweeping west and east, installing a platoon or battalion in each town and city they come across to keep control. The citizens are not abused in any way, nor even subjected to any particular inconvenience, except those neccesitated by security requirements. A further reinforcement fleet with 150,000 more men is dispatched from Axis Nova to help further occupy the country, though it will take some time to arrive.

*transmission to Kraven forces*

"You will cease expanding your territory immediately, for you are trespassing on Axis Nova's land. While of course you may keep the territory you have already taken through the right of conquest, Axis Nova will view it as a grave offense should your troops take one more step further west."

(ooc: did my best to update the map a bit; my skills are not as great as Kraven's. Basically anything west of the big line is more or less under my control, there are a few blank spots before my line that Kraven should be able to snag, and Mini Miehm should be able to get some more far East stuff as well as his own. OOC: its cool, i know others did a lot more fighting than me, but thats because i basicaly walked into southern numonica unapposed, it was only until i posted the map and The Grand alliance realised how much territory i had taken, did people act and slow my advance down... ive been in numonica since the begining :)
