The DOD today announced its upgrade of the galaxy class sensor array and SCVS to packets III today, these upgrades are able to boost the sensor range, buy 50 % increase sensor sensitivity, and will upgrade the communications array as well, the range of the communications array has been extended 10 fold, sensors pallets and communications systems have been upgraded with new packets.
Basically this is what the upgrade dose:
Upgraded sensors extend long-range scanners to at least 250 light years
Communications extended exponentially, instant communications range further extended
Navigational deflector upgraded, better handling and now hyper warp navigation capable, this upgrade also corrects problems regarding Spatial anomalies and special particles that interfere with sensors and navigation, it also provides the SCV with even more advanced sensors against phase cloaks and other advanced technologies, tactical sensors with this new package have been tuned to be 25% more efficant, thus making accuracy better for Phasers and torpedo systems
