Kjata builds new Power Plants!

Kjata is testing a new kind of Power Plant that uses the sea around Japan in a slightly different way. By digging trenchs along the coast and attaching steel beams, mixed with a special mixture of styrofoam a 'U' shaped trench is made. Over the top of this comes a simple mat loaded with millions of pores. Water will sink through the sand and into the mat, the water then pours into the trench where a slight slope and small 'y" shaped tunnels carry the water down stream.
The water becomes a torrent and spins thousands of generators. As a result the water will slowly lose energy, that's when the generators kick in to change the angle of the incline to cause the water to race along a 3 mile strip to the other side. Once again powering the turbine generators, this process is repeated over and over until a change in tride occurs. Low tide will suck the water back out and high tide will allow it to be refilled and continue the process.
The power plant produces 400 Mwh.

Hmm. Interesting yet enviromentally hazardous.

It uses mats to slow the drain in. This prevents sand and other large objects from being sucked into it. This uses the water table to work, not the sea bottom above it. It is environmentally friendly cause it doesn't disturb the environment. As the water table (with the tides) fluxs the water will be drained and refilled. This protects it from natural disasters also. Since the distance of the power is so large one quick burst of energy to change the loose canal for it also allows distance and angle to work in its advantage to produce more power efficently. Though the main source of power comes directly from the water table and the tides enterring the power plant.

BTW, no comments on my ingenius power plant? It's not the BEST, but it is cheap and clean power with no environmental damage.

I would like to invest in this project.

I beg to differ.
First, you will have to dig up the entire area, which will utterly unbalance the ecosystem in the area. Ultimatly Causing animals to lose a source of food. Did you ever check the area for indiginous plantlife that isn't found anywhere else?
Second, you will have to dig huge holes to plant these "generators". That will take up even more land in the area and damage the ecosystem even more.

Ah yes we can actually discussed this...(cause we were testing still)
Chairman Yao of Filo, "Ah, the construction for this project will be one of ingenius Japanese/Kjatan design. As Kyushu will be the testing ground for these new type of power plants. Let's take a look at the designs and the project itself."
A slide projecter is moved in and a screen is pulled down. A slide displayed of the coast is shown.

"This first slide is the area we have chosen. Note it goes into the Kyushu inlet here. Here we see the area for it to be tested."
Next slide shows a tunnel network map.
"This is how we will construct it, by digging down below the surface into the bed rock and then constructing the whole thing underground."
