--Cheers can be definitively be heard just outside the Geisenfried National Liberal Party Headquarters here in Arcadie as the Liberal Party obtained the majority within both houses of the legislature. In today's Parliament and Senate elections, the Liberal Party won 47 seats out of 93 in the Senate including the chancellory; as well as taking 139 of 295 Parliament seats, including the Prime Minister's seat. These strong results put the Liberal Party well above its other two competitors, the Conservative and Social Democratic Parties, in both houses.

However, it wasn't always so evident. The first results, which came from the Kalter region, had the Liberals in tight competition with the Conservatives and Social Democrats. "It was a nervewrecker when Kalter came in." said now Chancellor-elect Kurt Motzer, "In the chancellor race, I barely had any sort of lead compared to my other two opponents, and my buddy Leonard over there wasn't even in the lead for the prime minister race. Luckily we had managed to scrape out quite a few senate and parliament seats, but only due to minor victories in the area." 'Minor' victories is a good term, considering within Kalter, the Liberal Party won 5 of its Senate seats and 8 Parliament seats with victories of less than 2% over the other parties.

It didn't take too long for the Liberals to get a comfortable cushion though, with the Liberal Party winning large gains in the Erzengel and Kreml regions, especially within Shinden and Courant, the second and third largest cities in Geisenfried. With this overwhelming support, the Liberal Party now had comfortable leads in all the races, including 12-percent leads in both the Chancellor and Prime Minister races.

In the end, the Liberal Party would end up with 139 Parliament seats and 47 Senate seats. The Conservatives would win 74 Parliament seats and 22 Senate seats, with the Social Democratic party right behind, with 73 Parliament seats and 22 Senate seats. The Green Party surprisingly managed to get in 7 Parliament seats and 2 Senate seats, a strong performance for the small party. The Libertarian Party would be the only other party to get seats in either of the houses, gaining 2 Parliament seats. Kurt Motzer, the Liberal Party's candidate for Chancellor, obtained 45.38% of the vote, and won by the impressive margin 20.66% of the vote. Meanwhile Leonard Bischoff, the Liberal Party Prime Minister candidate, took 41.87% of the vote, and won by 15.82%, consolidating the Liberal victory.

The large gap over their opponents, as well as the animosity between the Conservative and Social Democratic party means that the Liberal Party should have little opposition in concerns of voting. This only adds more to the victory the Liberals have gained in the election.

Prime Minister-elect Leonard Bischoff and Chancellor-elect Kurt Motzer are due to be inaugurated within the week, while the new Parliament and Senate are set to start before the end of the month.

OOC: Hello are you there? It's called a terrorist attack so don't call it godmodding and hey what's the point of making a thread like this if it dosen't get exciting?

OOC: Alright whatever I just have 2 things to say. 1 it wasn't an attack and if you would've responded you would've found out and 2 why post election results if you didn't take a poll on NS or will not allow someone to do something but say "Wow election." I mean what the hell is that. It's early in the morning I was trying to make it exciting so i wouldn't fall asleep on the keyboard.

OOC: Why is this up here? To obtain diplomatic responses, like what the Great Sixth Reich put up. As for not having a poll, why should other nations decide who's going to be in my government? Do the Americans decide who the British Prime Minister is? Do the French decide who the German Chancellor is? The answer is no.
Politics is more than war, and yes, some of it gets boring. If you're looking for conflict, try another thread.

OOC: Eh, perhaps when you next want to make a terrorist attack you should try using at least two big paragraphs rather than two lines. Now, go to sleep please : /

Kaiser Martens congratulates the winners for their result, glad to see that the political system in a fellow nation from the same region is working properly and efficiently.

OOC: OK I'm heavily into politics in real-life and other countries do influence elections of other countries. In the British-Elections Bush donates money and occasionaly will campaign for Tony Blair and vice-versa. This is fake life this voting results have no reason to be on this early in the morning. No one wants to watch CNN at 1:37 AM. No one wakes up at 1:37 AM and says hmmmm I think Larry King is on. No so either post this in the afternoon or let something happen. A little action in the political realm please. God that's all I ask at least make it funny if not action. I'm holding an open election for my prime-Minister and I have a Dog running as a canidate just so people dont kill their selves of freaking boredom. If there was a terrorist attack on my political parties HQ I wouldn't care. So make it more interesting please.

OOC: IT WASN'T AN ATTACK. And I would've explained it later if he would've responded.

*Elvi sits, half listening to the Regions news networks, half to the intercepted military communications networks.
For a moment her attention is taken by the Geisenfried News Network's report on the election results.
She sighs then speaks to her aid.*

"Karl honey, be a darling and send a message to the new leaders of Geisenfried, you know the format......Congratulations, best of luck, keep up the good work......the usual stuff."

*Karl nods as she pauses for a moment.*

"Though why in Hel's name they bother I don't know......Give me plain old dictatorship any day."

*Karl laughs with her and shales his head as they both return to their work.*

OOC: What the hell are you doing trying to tell someone when and how they can post? Does every thread need to be a military invasion or a terrorist attack?

Admiral Barkassy would have liked to have seen the libertarian party be more successful but is a bit satisfied that the liberal party won. He is also pleased to see that the elections went on without a hitch.
