Kaiser Martens rested peacefully in his Bunker, not suspecting he would be attacked...someone had adviced this could happen, but his answer was. "They won't dare! Our defenses are far too good..." Thing is, even with the sattelite system, the Protective Bunkers and Walls would most likely not have enough personnel to fend of a large invasion. Besides, he was more concerned with the situation on Rammsteinburg, two Divisions, one from Byzantinia, were there helping eliminate an anti-government extremist group, The Blackcoats.
Still, he had a bad feeling.
The Republic of Barkozy was not very well defended by strong fortifications and its army could scarcely man them even if they were there. With 6 divisions of infantry and a brigade of tanks, the Barkozian army was dwarfed by its allies and enemies alike. It was, however, stronger in support elements like engineers and logistical support units.
The Barkozian navy, stationed in Sevastapol refused to come out in the face of superior opposition. The air force bases were concentrated around Simferopol and operated F-4s and F-5s.
The two best places to land were the Crimea and the area near Constanta. Crimea could be easily isolated(only 3 railroad lines go in, and two of them are over bridges) and past a bit of elevation the ground was mostly flat. Two divisions were stationed there, however. Constanta was closer to the Barkozian capital, Barkozy city(Budapest). It wasn't as easy to isolate, but it was quite a bit less defensible. Constanta was guarded by a single division with the armored brigade in reserve around Bucharest.

The President and War Deparment Chairman sit in a private meeting
"Jesus, Anderson, I don't know what we are getting ourselves into."
"I Agree totally with you. We have zero warfare experience here in Salesian and don't even know how much stuff is in our military or how that kind of stuff is kept track of."
"Mister Anderson, perhaps we better just commit a batallion of special forces into this war as an undeclared conflict. Get Senator Stevens on the phone right now and have him stop all motions for declaration of war. I can tell you for sure, even though we only have 7 million people, these hard-nosed, hard working people can certainly afford some Black-Ops soldiers and a couple of M4's..."
"Yes, Mister President, One Battalion of Black-Ops men and theyre going in without a declaration of war..."

0200 hrs. aboard USN USS G.W. Bush CVN 1
Sir, the aide said, it is now 0200 hrs. Patriot has reported, all targets in sight and lazed. All stations report ready.
" Very well, make speed 30 knots, send this to all ships"
Begin assault, all ships begin assault.
Yes sir said the aide.
Admiral Vilar stood in the flag bridge staring out into the night as he heard planes accelerating into afterburn to launch off the carrier. In the distance he could see plumes of flame as destroyers and firgates launched tomohawk missiles. He heard the thundering boom of the huge 21 inch guns of the battleships firing on the coast. All this to weaken the defenses on a shore that had seen an invasion in 1944. Strange Admiral Vilar thought to himself, that people always seemed to repeat actions in sometime the same places that previous generations had before.
Turning to the aide, Admiral Vilar bellows, "send this out code word burst to President United Specopscom, Bombardment commence, all actions are on time. Reports will follow. End. signed Admiral Vilar".
Yes sir, at once replied the aide.

"Mister President! I've just recieved word that our only aircraft carrier, a Nimitz Class, is indeed fully rated and manned. This is a big boost to our war effort! I suggest that we embark the marine special forces battalion on the carrier, along with the three SH-60 Seahawks that we bought from the United States"
"Good job, Anderson. Get me some coffee and get that damn thing sailing at once. Also look into buying some damn jets."
"Sir, I'm not a coffee gopher. Ask that blonde secretary, thats her job."

Fleet commanders in the service of the Republican Navy, his Excellency, President General Emilio Diez Calvo has authorized your redeployment to the territorial waters of the Silberunion, where, along with likeminded allied forces, you are to establish a naval blockade of Kaiser Martin’s territory and commence operations against the Silberunion governments. This follows the disappearance of several of His Excellency’s diplomats which we can only assume was the work of government action against President General Calvo and Guadalombia. We cannot allow this to stand, and as our great and enlightened President has ordered, we shall make the governments of the Silberunion pay dearly for their crimes. Transmitted along with this message are specifics regarding deployment areas and operational codes.
Godspeed.

The great grey fleets of Guadalombia sliced through the glittering clear waters of the Mediterranean, drawing ever closer to the foreign shores of a hostile land, one that had provoked the wrath of the Republic and several other states through a callous kidnapping and probable execution of numerous foreign diplomats. This followed a long period of saber rattling by Silberunion governments leading the Guadalombian government to immediately suspect foul play at the disappearance of her foreign emissaries. There was only one possible response this late in the game. The Silberunion was a threat that would need to be dealt with, and now the spearhead of the retaliation was firmly in the grip of the Guadalombian task forces, propelled by a force of nationalist zeal and the firm marching orders of their undisputed leader, the godlike President General Calvo.
Standing on the deck of the flagship of the 5th Republican Assault Fleet, the assault carrier Calvo, Fleet Admiral Esteban Diez cut a dashing figure in his gleaming white uniform, his steely eyes gazing out over the water, shielded by bushy black eyebrows. He sported a neatly trimmed black goatee and a slight mustache, also impeccably groomed. At his waist hung a ceremonial sword, a gift from President Calvo himself, and his most cherished possession.
The horizon was blank, save for the white line where the sea met the sky, but Diez knew that over that horizon line, hostile waters and deadly territory awaited. Over that line, the Guadalombian Army and Navy would find little but war, slaughter, and death, and with it all the grand glories that followed. There would be plunder aplenty for the soldiers that waited in the miles long convoys of transports that trailed the flagship, but there would also be horrors to fill a man’s head with nightmares for the rest of his life, horrors lasting far longer than the material wealth one would seize in battle.
Diez looked behind him at the other glimmering grey shapes that dotted the seascape for miles, and could not help but smile with pride. This was the navy he had forged for the Republic, for President General Calvo, for God above, and now he had the immeasurable pleasure of leading it to war. He had no doubts about how his men would fare. They were the best trained sailors the Republic had to offer, and had found sailing experiences in ports spanning the globe. A few had experienced combat in the days of the old civil war, but despite the Admiral’s confidence, very few knew the feeling of being under fire.
On the other hand, the 1,200,000 Guadalombian Regulars and Special Forces soldiers in the holds of the transport fleet knew all too well the thrill and terror of battle. The civil war had tested their mettle for years, and those who survived made up the core of the Guadalombian National Army, hardened veterans, no longer virgins to the explosions and heat of vicious combat.
Now they waited, calm despite the knowledge of what they would find when they made landfall.

(By the way, keep in mind that the Silberunion is not connected to Asia or Africa, so it is not really the Mediterranean but we can just use the name, to make it easier.)
The fleet eventually had approached the area which is under surveillance of the Odinsauge system of sattelites of the Silberunion.
Deep within the bunker where the central control room of it was, with gigantic computers, was an operator checking sectors. Then, he thought he saw something strange.
He sat straight and narrowed his eyes as he moved the sattelite's view a bit more. "What the heck. Do we have the Kriegsmarine or anything practicing any formation on the Southern Ocean?" "No, why?" another officer replied.
"Holy shit, look at this! We're being invaded!" Then with the press of some buttons it was passed onto the main screen of the room. Everyone in the room turned to watch the ominous floot moving. A man gulped and fetched the phone. "Get me to Der Kaiser, now!"
In his suit, somewhere in Berlin....the phone rang. And rang. He sighed and woke up. "Ja? The heck. I'm on my way. Notify The Generals and Admirals, now. Alert all our defenses, but do not tell the soldiers what the situation is, we do not want the enemy to know we know, or the public to know we're into war just yet. Mobilize the Southern Kriegsmarine Division at Italy and Greece, and we'll plan something to try and intercept them. Get all the submarines in the water, quick!." "Jawohl Mein Kaiser." then he hanged the phone and growled stood up, went and got into his Reichskaiser uniform. "Time to kill, hmm?" Then he fetched the phone and notified his allies, The Fedral Union, Barkozy, and Verghastinsel.
Later on he was picked up and head into his Main Bunker-city of Germania, in the geographical centre of the Silberunion, to lead the operations. "I want Panzerdivision 5 going to reinforce Barkozy now, also alert our Protektorat and have them gather their strengts. We can't let them break through our soft underbello. Get my Einherjar ready, too." The High Officer nodded and Kaiser sat in his Control Chair, watching the situation. "Get me a Martens Pils please...."
And so, The Reich was at war.

All around the fleet you could hear the hustle of soldiers climbing into the amphib vehicles for the 2 mile ride to the coast. Fear, anticipation, the smell of diesel fuel hung in the air. One thought hung in every soldiers mind, did the bombardment and the special forces take out enough defenses in the night? Or was this going to be a one way ticket for too many of them? Mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters fighting for their country.
Goddamnit! Admiral Vilar shouted as the phone rang, I just cut myself he said as he picks up the phone. "What!"
Admiral, Captain here. All amphib fleets report ready, Patriot reports all targets destroyed on points Alpha, Bravo and Charlie, the lanes are clear, and Patriot has been successfully extracted and is now on board.
"Very well, launch the amphibious assault, keep all ships firing on all points until the last minute, I don't want our boys to land without covering fire. Have all units close to the coast to a minimum of one mile Inform the President that the amphibious assault has commenced and all operations are on the timeline. I want a continuos Cap in the air at all times. Give me five minutes, and I will be in the cic. Inform Fleet Admiral Diez that amphibious assault has begun. That is all".
All at once throughout the fleet the sound of klaxons and the the announcement could be hear. "All amphibious units launch, All amphibious units launch. The sound of the diesel engines reving up, small wakes developed as they accelerated up to top speed. An errie silence developed over every soldier as each went into their own little place, mentally preparing themselves for the terrible smell of death and the heat of battle. It was just a matter of 20 minutes till hell began.

And so the Tomahawk missiles had impacted. That brought a new alert to another operator in the Odinsauge control room. "Scheisse, more are coming! Send it, send it!!" and the information was sent to the Bunker where Kaiser was. He growled. "Get me my SS Leibstandarte, we're going to The Frankland. Alert Panzerdivision 1 2 and 9, and have the others take up defensive positions in other parts of The Reich. I'm going to lead this defense myself and from the frontline." Noone questioned him, Martens was well known for leading his armies in person even if it endangered him. "Can you at least be halfway competent and figure out who is attacking us? Good. I want in in 5 minutes before I depart for battle. Get moving! Notify Admiral Riedelmann, tell him to mobilize the Northern Kriegsmarine there, and send the Polarstern too. Schnell!" Then the busy Emperor went out of the room and got ready.
The damaged Coastal defenses ready, they were mostly rather undermanned, so the higher officers there grinned. "Finally some action before I get old!" and went gather some civilians to fetch them their ammunition for them, of course, forcing none of them to come, but warning what would happen if the enemy got through. And so, only 5 minutes before all hell would break loose, the defenses were *somewhat* ready to fire back. The crowd of smaller machineguns, some of which had never seen action, were ready, mostly with civilian volunteers. The larger guns, the heavy FlaK and the Missiles were handled by the most skilled personnel. And so, with the uplink to the Odinsauge, when the enemy was in range.... "FEUER!" and so the longer distance missile batteries and largest caliber FlaK and Cannons shot at will towards the enemy. Now, it would be a matter of a few hours until the people all across Silberunion would know what was going on.

As per the arrangement of the alliance we are declaring war on the invaders. Of more importance is a plan of action. I have received no reports of activity anywhere near my coastline and my airspace is unchallenged. I will not be needing assistance at the moment and those troops might be more useful elsewhere, according to my reports. I'm also going to increase the size of the army so that I have a bit more flexibility in deployments and that might make some troops available to assist you.
I am in Sevastopol right now and it might prove prudent to move to my capital via railroad. Perhaps it would be safer to move via ship. Regardless, Sevastopol is not the safest place to be as of now so I will be moving soon. I've also been having terrible bouts of coughing. I hope it isn't serious, but if it is, I will have to arrange for a new leader.
Regards,
Admiral Barkassy
The Barkozian army will be increased from 6 to 30 divisions by simultaneous measures of incorporating several local militias into the army on a temporary basis and reducing the standard division from 3 infantry brigades to 2. This measure, of course, will take much time due to the need to arrange the overstrength support assets for the new divisions. Most of the aircraft will also be transferred from the Crimea to airbases near Budapest in order to conserve aircraft and keep operational losses low when the rail lines are cut.

The CIC was abusy place this minute with reports from all sectors flooding the radio communications. There was a constant bussle of servicemen moving and ruching about to different stations trying to maintain a smooth order of events.
All of a sudden the radar men shouted out "VAMPIRES, VAMPIRES, VAMPIRES!, Incoming missiles all sectors!" With that Admiral Vilar, shouted" all defensive batteries fire at will". Land the units.
All along the three assault points, ramps dropped, hovercraft landed, and troops spilled out onto the beach. When out of the distance, the shrill whine of incoming artillery permiatted the air, and the sound of heavy machinegun fire split the air. Go Go Go could be heard from everywhere as Sergeants and Officers shouted at their men to get off the beach and up to the berms. The whine of shells and incoming bullets surrounded the soldiers of Marine amphibious brigade 1.
The commanders could be heard yelling to return fire. Soldiers fell, but not as many as the commanders thought would. The anti-assault fire was not well coordinated, and was not on target.
At the Brigade headquarters radio requests were flooding the net for tanks and vehicles to be landed. And there was an uneasy feeling among all the brigade leaders that this is starting out entirly too easy, as they waited for the other foot to drop.

The Commanding Officer of that area of the Bunkers section frowned, as then the machineguns and anything that could be fired shot towards the enemy, yet it was rather insuficient, the forts were only operating at 55% of their capacity, with insufficient personnel.
"Allright, no Aircraft, so have the FlaKguns fire at the transport vehicles. Fire the Rache Kannone, now. Use sweeps to anihilate that infantry." "Jawohl!"
Then as hell had broken loose now, and the soldiers were advancing more easily than they had expected, a large metal door opened and what seemed to be a rather oversized gray cilinder with many holes all over it sprung up. It began to spin, then from four points onto the hole bullets began to come at a brutal speed as the weapon began firing. It was an extremely big, special chaingun, very high caliber, mounted onto a Fort of it's own to be operational, water cooled as well. It began to do clean sweeps as it's devastating fire anihilated anything that was in sight. Then again, it was rather vulnerable to fire, and one was placed every 150 Kilometers, but it'd most certainly do it's job.
Far away the Panzerdivisions continued to move at the fastest speed available, leaving behind the slowest vehicles as they raced towards the area.
The news were all around the internet TV and Radio now...the Bunker Commander wondered how much longer he would resist for.

Aboard the USN Ranger, the command ship for the Commander Ground Forces, an aide approached the General informing him of the line of advance on the beach head.
"General, all forces are at the berms and preparing to advance above and over. Approximatly 1/2 the resouces of tanks and vehicles have landed and are basing to provide cover for the marines and troops on the beach, the aide reported".
"About damn time, the General said, have all forces advance at this time, covering fire and have reports for me every 15 minutes".
10 minutes later..........
"General, the aide shouted as he ran over to the command chair. "Calm down son, replied the General, just spit it out"
"Sir, we have a problem, the entire first line of advance was wipped out almost to a man upon advancing atop the berms, all units at the front are reporting losses of over 3/4".
"SHIT, yelled the General, what the hell is going on out there?"
"All reports indicate the defenses waited till we were advancing over the berms and opened fire with murdurous fire".
"Well where is it coming from?"
"These are the coordinates sir, from all three assault points, some kind of massive multi-barreled gaitling gun, all reports state it is not unlike a phalanx.
"Get on the horn to the fleet, tell my boys need covering fire now, I want those guns takin out!"
"At once sir."
Meanwhile, aboard the USN G.W. Bush, calls of vampires and torpedos were in the air. Explosions were lighting up the sky as anti-missiles and phalanx defense systems targeted incoming missiles and planes. Confounding everything was the constant zig-zaggin of all the ships in the fleet trying to evade torpedos. Four ships had already been hit, three of which were sinking.
"Where the hell did that fleet come from yelled Admiral Vilar, as he silently mourned the loss of his oldest son, a commander and the captain of one of the frigates that had been destroyed. "FIND OUT NOW! Launch all planes, order the 3rd and 5th support fleets to close and engage. I want the 6th and 7th support fleets to gice fire support for the assault fleet, take those guns out, And get me Admiral Diez on the horn, I want to know where the Hell he is!"
Within seconds of finishing his sentence the Admial was thrown across the bridge, the huge carrierrocked violently back and forth from two missile impacts, planes on the deck started igniting, shrapnel flew through the air. Men were burned alive and cut in half by the shrapnel, red hot slicing through them at supersonic speeds. Two huge holes were in the flight deck, men ran in all directions, chaos reigned supreme. The fires and explosions lit up the sky in all directions. Thank god the carrier, the pride of the naval fleet was still afloat and under steerage, though she was out of the action for now.

75 miles to the south, hundreds of RBI's (Rigid Boat Inflattable), silently drifted to and landed on the coast under the cover of darkness. Quickly and quitly a battalion the 3 thousand men pulled the boats on the shore, deflated them and buried them.
Their mission was simple, infiltrate, and cause chaos to distract as many units as possible away from the main invasion.
Under the command of Col. Walker, the 3rd Ranger Battalion received this mission for one reason. They were the best of the best. It was only hoped that the infiltration would be unnoticed long enough for them to blend in to the country side.
Within in minutes of landing, the Col. gave the order. " All company commanders, detach and proceed with the missions, report on all objectives achieved, and good luck..........". Only time would tell.........

It is saddening to see you hospitalised like this. Never have I seen you delegate, so if you're giving me this sort of authority it must be damned serious. I must hope that it is not terminal.
I've looked into that Odessa-Sevastopol railroad issue and it seems that the contractors that were supposed to repair it did show, but they didn't really do their job in the time specified. I'm sending in a Bn of engineers to repair it as it is of much strategic importance to operations in the Crimea.
Frankly, I'd rather have them storming our beaches like they are Martens'. Now, I have to guard everything because staying back and waiting it out would unnecessarily delay reinforcement, so I have units fairly scattered out. The men appear to be satisfied with the pay raise and vacationing. When inspecting the units on the beaches, I saw many soldiers having great fun, especially the younger ones.
I might have the men dig defenses just to keep them from getting too bored.
The attack on Martens defies logic. I've seen those defenses first hand and while they can be breached, it's just not the correct move when greener pastures exist. It's a slaughterhouse for those poor soldiers. Do they want to kill their own? I do feel terrible for his men, though. Their leader is rash and has a love for getting in the fight himself. I've seen the Kaiserwagen myself and he intends to drive it into battle himself. Meanwhile, my men party and surf on the beaches. I suppose it has to do with the fortunes of war.
I agree with your decision to move the aircraft. With more sorties flying per day, we will need to move closer to our logistical centers to prevent operational losses. I also have a division in Sevastopol digging trenches and stockpiling supplies. I don't see the point, but one never knows.
This is definitely a change from ordering convoys and moving crates around to support you, Admiral.

4 F-16’s were blown out of the sky, flaming pieces of metal raining down upon the oceans, 1 F-18 was hit and crashed splashing in to the cloudy waters below, Nexus class carriers began launching FA-26 Mustangs, more F-96’s and F-18E’s they whooshed out of the carrier decks as a fire fight in the sky ensued, Mustangs flew at mach 6.2,.mached only by F-96 talons , the mustangs targeted there Sea Kill anti ship missiles these extremely fast potent missiles could take out a battle ship in a salvo it was said, as the planes approached the enemy carriers, dark green water parted underneath them white caps flowing on each side as the craft got closer and closer to sea, all of a sudden 4 km away from there targets the launched there hypersonic, ship killers in a plume of white gleaming smoke. These missiles rushed over the water, the liquid parting extremely high as a sonic boom fallowed the object, a huge amount of these missiles targeted enemy aircraft carriers and cruisers, as well as battle ships ( about 25 % of these missiles will fail and drop In the water there still experimental), volleys upon volleys of missiles ETC cannon fire and torpedoes rushed out of the fleets towards incoming enemy ships. (are you shooting at my fleet yet?)
Mean while on the code breaker wild weasel, was intercepting enemy messages and scanning for new contacts, using data from satellites and intercepted messages witch have yet to be fully decoded, but at least provided a little useful information, a message was sent to admiral Xavier on the nexus witch was launching more fighters to the battle.

- from the captain of the code breaker wild weasel- [message] we have intercepted certain messages form the enemy fleet an intelligence that more forces are on the way, its believed they have another fleet and more ground troops moving this way we have confirmed only 25% of this form our satellites in orbit watching fleet movements the enemy fleets seem to be 200 miles out, we should watch our backs and recommend setting up a strong perimeter [end message] the admiral looked at it and sighed a bit looking over to his communications officer and saying
“com. Send a message to a few ships to establish a perimeter around the fleet there may be company” the comn officer nodded taping on his computer sending a extremely coded message out . some ships broke off and headed to establish a parameter

Battle Fleet 2
150 miles from Battle Fleet 1
The thundering roar of turbine engins reaching afterburner filled the night as hundreds of planes on three carriers started launching into the sky. This had come after intelligence had reported that the enemy fleets aircraft had commited to battle. It was hoped that this fleets aircraft would catch the enemy aircraft returning to their fleet with little to no armament left and little fuel, carching the enemy fleet by surprise.
Soon hundreds of planes filled the sky. F-22C's, F-14F's, other fighters, bombers, antiairborne warning craft. All on a course with the enemy fleet. Minutes later, flight leaders gave the order " combat formations, cap at angles 50 enemy formation on radar, begin jamming, fire at will". Second later the sky filled with missiles all bound for the enemy fleet 100 miles in front of them, as yells of FOX1 filled the radio's. the F-22C's and F-14F's pulled up sharply to begin to engage the enemy aircraft.
Soon explosions filled the air, aircraft fell out of the sky, parachutes were sucked into the intakes of friend and foes plane alike. The sky was filled with steel, making it a road someone could walk on without touching a bare spot of sky. Missiles, bullets, metal, flame and chaos ruled here.
The only hope was that the intelligence weenies had guessed right and the foe's aircraft would be low on fuel and weapons, and the carriers would be unprepared for attack due to the need to land their craft.
Everyone hoped that at least a few of the hundreds of missiles fired would break through and take at least one carrier out. They knew that battle fleet 1 was counting on them.

ON THE FLIGHT DECK of the FSS Hawk (CV-1), a dozen Blackhawk helicopters stand with whirling blades. Half of the special forces marine battalion are loaded loaded up. Four Super Hornets are ready to give MIGCAP and Wild Weasal for the insertion effort. Finally the order is given to kick those aircraft off the deck. Through out the entire ship the intense thump of the catapults reverberates. The Hornets are in the air, followed by the Blackhawks, loaded to the gills.
On board the lead black hawk, men apply camoflauge to each others faces and prep their M4's, M16's, and assorted weapons of fast destruction.
The Hornets fire AGM-65 Mavericks at several artillery pieces and unload their internal cannons at some SAM batteries.
The insertion group flies over the friendly, then enemy territory and the entire load of special forces slides down ropes in under a minute.

Most of the enemy Intel was partly wrong there were heavy defenses around the carriers defenders opened up with advanced homing missiles and hyper sonic AA missiles as well as Vulcan cannons. Missiles flew out pouring in to the sky about 6 F-16’s were lost, 4 F-18a’s 1 mustang 2 F-96’s and 4 F-22’s were lost , but were soon replaced with another. carriers complement the carriers were taking in aircraft true but they were also launching some, about 25 air craft form each carrier I have ( 20 here) flung out only about 50 F-96 talons. Talons matched enemy aircraft with ease maneuvering at mach 5 they fired salvos of advanced missiles witch could fallow a target easily at supersonic speeds, mustangs flew up and then flanked enemy aircraft going at mach 6 + they fired massive salvos of micro and normal sized shooting star class hypersonic homing missiles, the aircraft opened up there bays and fired there 30 MM Tungsten cannon, bolts of super sonic Tungsten flew out in yellowish fading beams.

This is Samuel Fisher reporting from the G.W. Bush. After two days fighting there has been many deaths, and even more wonded on both sided. Being a neutral country The West Atlantic has had an emergancy meeting as to discuss the thousands dieing or already dead. As of right now the unoffical word is that The West Atlantic will provide humanitarian help to both side, supplying food and water to the civilans being pushed from the battle area. Because the West Atlantic has only a small army which is call for defensive perposise, the usuall stance on help to the bystandards seems to be the rought in which they will take. For right now this is Samuel Fisher for KVBN reporting on this war. May the dead sleep well, and the living, live on.

OOC: Salesian, I do not understand what you are doing. Can you please clarify? I thought you were going to invade through the Mediterranean, I'm confused.
The Rache Kannone continued to fire deadly and mercilessly. However then, to Specopscom's relief, it was hit by a stray shell, the mechanism sensitive enough to be broken down because of that.....
Far off, the great Panzerdivisions approached, almost fully mechanized. One third of the amount of troops headed to standby close to the place where the most fighting was taking place, but did not get in range of the enemy and assumed a second defense line, and Martens was with them.
The rest of the troops (which were most of them) were guided by the sattelites towards where the Batallion had landed. The leading General almost felt sorry for that poor batallion who suspected nothing, as the tanks moved onto a safer formation and kept going at full speed. They'd be too outnumbered, it'd be most likely overkill, or so he imagined.
The defenses in the coast itself were now much more permeable to a frontal attack, then when the enemy was seeming to suceed much more easily, all the troops retreated, excepting those already wounded. They were attempting to lure the enemy into Martens' trap.

The Salesian Marines safely on the ground started their rapid squeeze of the Silberunion defenders from behind. Roughly a half mile march brought them within firing distance of the Kaiser's troops.
"Let's wait up a second," called out one of the leading special forces officers, "We can dig in here and open fire at just the right moment.
The decision to hang in the pocket was relayed down the lines. Men braced themselves to smash the unaware defenders at the most opportune time.
Those soldiers equipped with scoped weapons opened up with surgical fire from behind.

Marine Battalion 1 then sprung to face the wrath of those holding the front.
In a manoever slightly resembling the Nazi's "donkey punch," those with M203 grenade launchers and other weapons of the sort aimed their projectiles high so the explosives would land behind the advancing soldiers, hopefully making retreat difficult and also to try and discombobulate with danger on two sides.
The marines laid down heavy automatic fire in the direction of the Kaiser's men. They nursed it back and forth into troop concentrations, having to reload after spraying through magazines.
It was critical that this batallion not be decimated... They needed to establish their presence whether or not they severely hurt the enemy.
Leaders stood ready to pull back to preserve their strength if necessary.
In the mean time, shells continued to spray towards the Silberunion defenders, and the special forces marines prayed for reinforcements or air support.

But, most of the troops that were retreating from the coastline were Civilian volunteers, and a few tanks were also among them and other vehicles. The Officers tried to warn them, but it all turned into confusion, many were slaughtered, some managed to escape, some stayed and fought until they got shot. Now the defenses of the section were breached, and with hardly anyone within them, providing a perfect breach for the enemy to go forth...
Far off in the distance, several Panzerdivisions all across the Reich were getting ready, and two more were on their way onto this mess. But that, would take a time, like it would take a time for the Kriegsmarine to arrive.
Then entered the Luftdivisions...
A great flying group approached to the battle, half the Luftwaffe including the SS Leibstandarte Kaiser Martens Luftwaffe group, at first the enemy may think the radar was malfunctioning, but then the fleet and the forces that had landed began taking fire from a multitude of Stuka, Heinkel, and Messerschmitt bombers, closely protected by another multitude of ME fighters, and the Lenneth, Freya and Hrist type of planes. Soon, the Komets also joined the fights, these were as good as The Fedral Union's planes but not that numerous. Also, a large amount of Helicopters - based off from the same models but with slight variations in speed or offensive and defensive capabilities, arrived some 30 minutes later.

The naval battle raged on two fronts, from the south, support fleets 3 and 5's battleships fired their massive 21 inch main turret guns, Destroyers and firgates fired volley after volley of an assorted mix of anti-ship missiles. Anit-missile missiles, and phalanx gun systems berped their deadly projectiles into the air, knocking missile after missile out of the sky, the support fleets slowly closed on the enemy fleet, battling fires and explosions on half the ships.
Meanwhile to the east, bridges of all the ships in battle fleet 2 were a mix of chaos, fear, and edrenaline. Fighters and bombers were landing and taking off as fast as the carriers could put them in the air. Anti-ship missiles and enemy fighters were everywhere, twisting turning and a one-way game of death in the skies. Twisted burning wrecks of steel fell out of the skies in all directions, but the fleet was holding it's own.
Suddenly, the massive super carrier the USN Joe Montana, the first of the Montana class supercarriers, vanished in a blinding, deafening explosion that rocked not only the other ships in the fleet, but knocked fighters of both fleets out of the sky. A huge wave 100 feet high raced out in all directions, swamping over smaller ships completly, the bombers dove low and followed the wave to the enemy fleet, waiting for the wave to hit, and cause a brief lull in fire.

At the coast a huge explosion ripped into the sky as the murderous gaitling guns dissapeared into a great ball of smoke and fire. Troops spilled over the burn, firing rifles, machine guns, throwing grenades in front of them.
People could be seen running from defensive positions all a long the point. Who could blame them staring at blackened faces of soldiers intent on causing death and destruction.
As a gap in the defenses opened, equipment, soldiers and vehicles flooded into it, forcing their way over the berms, grasping a foothold off of the open coverless beach. After assaulting through the breach, units spread out to the norht and south and commenced a two-pronged assault on the remaining defensive positions along the coast. The boom of tank guns were all around as the M1A5 Main Battle tanks searched aimed and let go with their 150 mm main guns.
Soon though, reports of enemy tanks caused the M1A5's to break off the support of friendly soldiers to a new mission, seek and destroy, working in teams of 2-3. They began to drift into the country side, waiting.

As soon as the enemy advanced through the breach Kaiser atop his vehicle gave the signal to advance and so they all did, as he entered then and closed the hatch, ramming towards the southern part of the enemy and then advancing northwards, carrying the best equipment in the Reich - Leopard IIIs, Mjollnirpanzers C, and Einherjar infantry, all from the SS Leibstandarte Kaiser Martens troops, then the men which head into the north were suddenly attacked by something they could not identify at first, then they knew. Infantry had dug holes and set their Ringwerfers (Like light railguns that shoot rings) and were now firing upon the Armor units, every shot being lethal and at times going through several soldiers or destroying two tanks in one shot, the side effecy being that the bunkers of the zone were also damaged a bit, and the infantry stood by the partially hidden weaponry, so to try and shoot at incoming infantry if they dared approach. Most of these weapons were prototype, so a little percentage of them actually blew in the face of their users. The area, was rather grassy.
The other group of the regular Reichswehr split up after having attacked successfully the position of the paratroopers, half going to reinforce the Kaiser's men and half of it - including specialized infantry of the area - starting to look for the scattered soldiers.
The luftwaffe had a portion of their helicopters search as well using their special array of sensors, while the bombers by now were actively attacking the enemy fleet and the troops which were still trying to struggle around the beach, protected by the bombers, ready to also use that wave to their advantage.

The United Specopscom men had punched through and rendezvoused with the Salesian marine battalion. Now that there was a definite front line, the Salesian men turned inland. They now were recieving by landing craft a full division of marines. They really needed the backup. The men who had launched the initial rear assault had taken 45% losses. They hung back and let the Specopscom come to the front so as the Salesian men and the re-enforcements could link up.

"Hit the decks a-runnin' boys and spin them guns around," the seaman gently hummed to himself. He and the rest of the crew of the frigate and the destroyer were readying the five and ten inch guns and other shore bombardment weapons.
With the passing of a few minutes and everyone at battle stations, the ships let loose their medium-sized but powerful nonetheless guns. Smoke hung in the air after the seemingly endless salvos echoed forth. All weapons except for the CIWS and SAMS were exhausted, and would remain that way for about eighteen hours until the replenishment ship could come along side United's attatched ships.
The FSS Hawk waited until the bombardment was wrapped up to launch an alpha strike. A few of the Hornets would be dedicated to BARCAP duties, a few would take on the role of roving for bandits, and the rest would throw all their effort at the Kaiser's tanks and infantry. Armed with only M61 vulcan cannon for self defense, they had to trust thier escorts and hope for little air resistance.
Once over the strike zone, the hornets locked up targets and chucked AGM-65 Mavericks at tanks. The Mavericks thundered hot off the rails, raining down. The planes quickly went "Winchester Mavs" and were ready to bug out. Somebody got lucky with a couple shots of some kind and sent three low-flying hornets crashing to earth. Only one plane did not have a successful ejection, and the other pilots landed and scrambled to try and escape the wrath of the Kaiser.
OOC: Kaiser, are your chain guns still in operation?
Kaiser Martens
21-07-2005, 21:20
OOC: No, but I've just brought a new one.
"Hah, about time!" Kaiser said, as the enemy fleet began to be attacked more fiercely, and out of the blue from a great distance the shot of a gigantic railgun, faster than the speed of sound headed for the thicker formations of enemy ships.
It was the Kriegsmarine, with the Flagship "Polarstern" leading the effort, with it's great Railgun. Soon enough also missiles began to head for the enemy from the numerous fresh fleet, as the largest ships began to use their regular shell fire onto the enemy and the smallest ships dashed forth, aiming and then firing in a close formation a wave of devastating supercav torpedoes, and then another...
When the hornets took off instantly some Focke Wulf 05s and a large number of Komet IIIs turned around and went to give them chase rather easily, firing their machineguns and those which still had them their missiles, being right on their tail as they attempted to go towards the troops on the ground.
As soon as the men of both forces headed inland to the more grassy area they were surprised by the fire of the Ringwerfers (railguns), which had been partially dug into the grass for chamouflage. The shots broke the sound barrier and came all at once, this would cause massive damage not only to the soldiers themselves if it worked right, but also just the sound was so powerful it would destroy their ears if these were unprotected, leaving them out of combat. But after two quick waves of fire the weapons needed to cool down, so Kaiser and his Einherjar and SSLS got in the way of the enemy and charged forth, opening fire, then the rest of the division arrived to surround the enemy through the flanks, attempting to push them back into the sea, while in the background the bombers were still dropping their last bombs onto the enemy fleet, and the helicopters were just shooting anything in sight.
Then a second Rache Kannone (The uber gatling gun) was brought on a truck hurriedly and deployed, then it began to fire to the troops that were attempting to get onto the beach mercilessly.
Kaiser saw the men falling around him here and there, but the attack was doing well, so he just continued forth, ignoring the relatively few losses, compared to the enemy's suffering.
The Racketenwerfers IIs and Flakpanthers which had been previously fighting alongside the Mjollnirpanzers, Panthers and Leopards, saw the enemy planes approaching and began to fire at these instead.
