Rammsteinburg

It is another calm summer night in the city of Ark, where Rammsteinburg’s King Florian and Hauptoffzier (head of the legislative branch) Damian Engels are having a casual dinner at the royal palace. It is half past ten and the two are finishing up their dinner.
“Well, Damian,” King Florian says as he wipes his face with a napkin, “it has been a very enjoyable night.” Damian Engels sips the last bit of win in his glass and replies, “Indeed, it has been.”
A few servants walk over to clean up the table. “I’m sorry my wife couldn’t make it,” Damian says. “She is quite busy tonight.” “Ah, it’s okay,” says Florian.
Outside of the royal palace, security guards, members of the elite Royal National Guard, are everywhere. They are dressed completely in a dark purple and are armed with M-16’s.
The palace is surrounded by a large brick wall with a gate at the front. In the tower by the gate, a security guard is smoking a cigarette while watching over the outside of the palace. So far, everything has been quiet. Then, all of a sudden, the guard spots a truck heading towards the palace. At first, it seems to be a normal truck. As it gets closer, though, he sees that the truck has a machine gun on top with a man standing behind it. Also in the truck, the are five men armed with AK-47s. The guard immediately drops his cigarette out of his mouth and picks up the phone.
“This is Sgt. Brian Yalta at the security tower by the main gate. There is a truck heading towards here with a machine gun and four men armed with what appears to be AK-47s. We need some men out here A.S.A.P! This is NOT a drill!” Sgt. Yalta hangs up the phone and pulls out a sniper rifle. He opens the window and tries to aim at the driver of the truck. Once the truck is about thirty feet away, he fires. The bullet breaks through the window but misses the driver, instead hitting a man in the passenger seat.
A group of about twenty security guards rush outside of the wall. They begin shooting at the men in the truck who immediately shoot back. A few of the security guards are shot and killed by the machine gun. One of them manages to take out the driver. The men in the back of the truck are also killed. With nobody driving it, the truck crashes into the gate. It turns out there was a bomb on the truck. As soon as the truck hit the gate, the bomb detonated, destroying the truck, blowing a large hole in the gate, and killing four security guards and injuring six others.
Not long after the explosion, about thirty more trucks speed towards the palace. An officer calls for more men, but only a third of the security force makes it to the scene in time. Once close enough, the machine guns on the trucks begin firing. The armed man in the back of the trucks jump out. The security force is easily defeated and the trucks make their way through the gate. An alarm is set off.
As the trucks drive through the courtyard, they are attacked by more security guards. One guard manages to shoot out the tires of one of them, but the rest of them are able to make their way through.
One of the security guards rushes to the room where King Florian and Damien Engels are having a brief chat. “Your majesty, Mr. Hauptoffzier, the palace is under attack,” he yells while breathing heavily. “What? My god…,” exclaims Damian. “Sirs, you have to get out of here,” the guard says. “The emergency escape helicopter is waiting on the roof.” Florian and Engels jump out of their seats and head towards the roof with the guard following them for protection.
Just as they reach the roof, the security guard is shot from behind. Damian Engels is then shot in the leg. The attacker aims his gun at the king, but he is shot from behind by another guard before he can pull the trigger. Florian and the guard help Engels onto the helicopter, and once on, it immediately flies away.
A few minutes after the escape of the king and the hauptoffzier, police and military arrive at the palace. A bloody battle breaks out, but is over after an hour.

The next morning, a press conference is held at the Ark city police department. Chief of police Hanz Bernstein is present to answer the media’s questions.
“Mr. Bernstein, do you know what the status of Hauptoffzier Engels is,” one news reporter asks.
“Mr. Engels will be released from the hospital sometime this afternoon. We’ve been told that the bullet has been removed from his leg and that he will have to be using crutches for several weeks. That is all the information about him that we have. Next question?”
Dozens of reporters raise their hands, requesting permission to ask their question. The chief of police points to a short, red-haired female reporter in the third row. She stands up and asks, “is there any information about who the attackers were?”
“The Rammsteinburg Bureau of Investigation will be looking into the incident. Currently they are suspecting this to be the work of the extremist capitalist group, The Blackcoat Alliance.”
Bernstein looks at his watch. “I’m sorry but that is all the questions I can answer for now. More information will be released when available. Also, I’d like to inform everybody the ministry of national security has put the nation on alert level four. All government buildings are being temporarily closed down and guarded.” With that said, Bernstein walks off the stage.
