In what was a quiet peacefully Nation which depended on Fishing and Tourism for the Economy has been rocked of heavy violence between the armed militants and the Forces of Shearwaters. Although the war is between the militants and the Shearwaters Forces, many civilians have taken up arms in threatned Cities.

It all started when hundreds of militants based in the Forests surrounding the second largest city in Shearwaters. Hundreds of armed militants drove through in stolen cars, trucks and even the odd tank. They locked the city town. The Small Naval & Air Facilities were destoryed and taken, while many Police Stations resisted the take-over and fought back. The Armed Forces of Shearwaters are currently locking down the rest of the nation, ready to take out these 'militants'.

Most Militants are armed with Ak-47s, Ak-74s, Snipers, M-60s and the odd RPG. The Militants from what sources have seen are around 600-1000 strong and are spread in large groups throught Casino, the second largest city in Shearwaters. Civillians deaths are unknown but are low.

The main fighting in 'casino' is taking place in the city centre amoungst hospitals, police stations, malls and houses.

The Government does not want Military Assistance from other nations just Peacekeeping Assistance. This war is going to be won for the people and by the people, not foreign people.

The Republic of Lanquassia is currently engaged in peacekeeping operations in another nation, and cannot send any regular military forces to assist.

However, should you ask for it, I can send a company of five seven-man JOAT Special Force Teams, to travel into the various 'hotspots' around your nation.

The company I have in mind is especially adept at Law Enforcement and acting as a military SWAT team.

Violence continues throughout Casino. Sources have reported that the Insurgents forces have increased to nearly 4000. The Insurgents have increased in size and taking up more of the city. An 'insider' said the Insurgents have bribed Civillians into fighting alongside them. Civillian Deaths have soared to several hundred but no set number is available.
Meanwhile Chinhook Helicopters inhabited by SWAT, Special Forces etc have touched down into a hotspot and have set up a base amoungst the worst fighting in 'Casino'. There are currently around 1000 Insurgents in the City Centre. The Insurgents have upgraded weaponry and are using M-16s and Shearwaters Military Equipment. Anti-Aircraft Weaponry is also been used recently destroying a Boeing 747 and 3 Military Aircraft.

With the company being sent to Shearwater is an additonal squad of JOATs, one specific mission in mind - contact the insurgents without the knowledge of the Shearwater government, and find out what their objects are.

A Task force consisting of 500 Units including the five seven-man JOAT Special Force Team from Lanquassia have made some incredible tactics and have broken through the main stronghold in the city centre amoungst the destruction of yesterday's bombings.
Forces have captured at least 200 Insurgents and killed around 500. Only two Soldiers where killed today from the Task Force. All forces have been pushing the Insurgents back, maintaining some control. The War is not yet complete.

Forces have ceased up more territory just after a large battle. Insurgent Numbers are down to around 800 after many fleed to their "foreign base'.
The Shearwaters Force as well as the International Force is numbered at around 8000.

After an accusation accusing of us of being 'Terrorists', Our Government has decided to send Forces into Shearwaters to fight.
We have gathered around 5000 Armed Civillians and are ready to fight in Shearwaters. Most Civillians are armed with RPGs, Ak 47s, Snipers and Standard M-16s.
A Fleet will take our force into the Nation of Shearwaters.

We will not tolerate such 'people'.
This is a civil war not an Internation war.

The sultan wishes to express his regret over the recent hostillities in shearwaters and is grieved by the loss of lives, therefore he would like to urge all oppossing parties to attempt to settle their differences in peaceful means, for war is a terrible thing.

The Government of Shearwaters would like to thank Abbassia for its concerns, but peace talks failed. Violence has died down over the last 15 hours due to strong International Peace Talk. Hundreds of Insurgents have Surrendered and given up arms while others are yet to do so.
We would like to thank all International Aid & Support.
But the war is still going.
