Since apparently Roach-Busters is inactive/defunct, I'll take this over, and it is now Earth AN. Same rules as Earth RB, and all Earth RB claims are intact still. If Roach-Busters returns, I'll ask for this thread to be locked. I'll leave the rules pretty much the same, as I have no problem with them.
Earth AN
Tired of the old Earths where the owners accept anything from their friends regardless of the RP quality?
Tired of being told your legitimate claims are rejected while claims made via bogus RPs are recognized by the owners just because they are friends with those making the claims?
Want an Earth where you're free to have claims and RP in other Earths, so long as you don't confuse and horribly mix the two?
Well you want Earth AN. Yes, Earth AN.
The rules are simple.
1) Keep claims realistic
A- Don't go claiming dozens of nations if your homeland population base is such that you couldn't reasonably garrison your claims.
B- Remember, that you can always gain land later from wars with other Earth RB folks, so keep your claims small and reasonable.
C- Remember, you may transfer claims with other Earth RB members, just link the threads involving these.
D- Don't try to claim a nation you have no way to garrison. A 20 million strong nation cannot say, "I take China", yes it may be possible but it's highly unlikely whatever military forces you could spare in your homeland could garrison China to any effective degree.
2) Godmods are not accepted.
A) If the thread you link your claims to contains, "They all greet us with open arms" or "Closed thread" with absolutely no invitations to resistance forces (it's okay to have closed threads, just make sure you invite enough folks for some resistance groups) your claim will be rejected. Never have I seen in the real world, no matter how just the occupiers thought themselves, an occupied nation without some disgruntled folks who took to resistance. Always have some resistance, small cells or guerilla bands, your pick, but do something realistic and fun.
B) Ignoring the fact that some nations have massive militaries, if you're invading an open slot (China for example) you have to realize, you're going against RL stats for China (aren't you? since nobody owns it and you're trying to get it, I assume yes, you are going against RL China until it, ideally, becomes your NS China) so you have to take into account it's a lot easier to invade Mozambique than it would be China.
3) Claim Security?
A) If you've been deleted and your deletion is pending appeal, you will have 72 hours to get word of this pending appeal to me or another Earth RB member, for it to reach this thread or me via IM, in which case your claims will be frozen pending the decision of your appeal.
B) Inactive? If you are deleted for inactivity, your claims will be frozen for 2 weeks, starting the day your deletion was mentioned in the forum or to me over IM. People may "Stand in line" for your claims, and that means after 2 weeks, if you've not given us word as to what is going on, those who said, "Hey, if he doesn't come back I want X, Y, and Z" will get those lands, and all the rest of your claims will be opened up to anybody who wasn't "Standing in line".
C) Disagreements? I will not kick you out of Earth RB for any outside reasons or any such disagreements. If you don't like me IC or even OOC fine, just don't start arguments with me or others that are OOC in this thread, take it to IM. I don't care who you are or what you believe, if you want to have fun and are willing to try to RP well (I and others will be here to help you if you ever need RP advice or help) then you are welcome in Earth AN.
4) Other Earths?
A) The only Earth I will not allow people from Earth AN to participate in is Earth II, this is largely for reasons that I believe Earth II is conducted in such a manner that the people running it would actively be in Earth RB threads harassing and hassling, and it would cause unnecessary arguments and troubles. You may have claims in as many Earths as you want, except for Earth II.
5) Big claims?
A) If you've established a history of being a large and militaristic nation, it stands to reason you can have a nice sized claim. If you're a nation of pacifists, it would seem unrealistic for your nation to suddenly seize a dozen third world countries in Africa. Keep things realistic as to what your national character is. Nothing is impossible (although I can't say that, I won't recognize anybody "Conquering the world" so yeah, that is impossible) but just remember, keep it realistic. If you beat a coalition of nations and gobble up all their colonies at the peace conference, that is realistic and will be recognized. If you just claim twenty or thirty nations that are open, that won't be realistic.
6) Transfer claims?
A) If you RP in another Earth and want to move here or RP here as well, you're welcome to try to transfer your claims here, but if things get filling up fast, then you might wind up with reduced claims.
B) Coming from Earth II? If you are, I ask that you first renounce your claims on Earth II and then post here, or talk to me first. At any rate, as soon as your leaving Earth II is made official, I'll fill in your claims here.
7) Claims? How does it all work out?
A) I have the final say if your claims are recognized. Remember, I won't discriminate against you for any reason, unless you godmod into your claims, we'll get together over IM and try to work something out. Even if your writing isn't "Book quality" just make it realistic and avoid godmods and you'll be good to go for getting claims recognized. If I have time, I am always willing to help you with reviewing writing and offering ideas. I am sure there are others willing to help as well.
8) Ignoring other Earth AN RPers?
A) I realize that you may run into folks you can't stand, maybe they troll you, flame you, or you sincerely believe they godmod. If you must ignore another Earth RB RPer, I first ask you get together with the person in question and myself over IM and we talk about it. If you still insist on ignoring them, that is your right.
B) I won't recognize ignores that have the sole purpose of being they have a claim you want, and you just don't want to have to RP getting it from them, and would rather try to ignore and claim it out from under them. This will not be taken as a laughing matter. Indeed I won't recognize two people owning the same land. If you want something somebody else has, you'll have to stop ignoring them and try to work out how you can RP over it.
C) No you won't be booted for ignoring other people in Earth AN, just try to keep it to a minimum and try to have very good reasons for doing so.
