Recently president of Scarthona, Tom Scarthon, announced that all jails would be removed from Scarthona to show that no criminals could be found in Scarthona. However his plan backfired and criminals from all parts of the galaxy have stormed into Scarthona, breaking through the Imperial Guard and killing 100s of innocent people, Tom has stood by his word and none of the criminals are Scarthonish but that doesn't help him save his nation, he is appealing to all nations to find there criminals and take them back.

This is Scarthona's problem. If you catch a Lanquassian citizen commiting a crime in your nation, it is your responsibility, not ours, to catch him, try him, and then sentance him by your laws.

We may request extradition to try him for the same crimes under our laws, but we will not go looking for citizens who have done criminal activites in other nations. It violates the other nation's soverignity, and sets a bad example.

We, unlike some nations, do keep up a police force and jailing system that is more than adequate to handle our nation's needs.

Mationland will not send any team to Scarthona to arrest any Mationland Criminals . This is your doing , therefore it is your responsibility .

This should teach you a lesson to have an adequete police force and an efficient jailing and trying system . We will allow you to arrest and try our criminals under your laws but we will not allow them to enter Mationland .

And we are not trying to declare war . However , if you want to declare war , its fine with me . Your armies are peanuts considered to mine . We will also pledge military assistance to Lanquassia because it is one of our allies . We will honour our alliance .

We look after all people who commit crimes in Lanquassia or on Lanquassian soil. We do not have the time, nor the resources, nor the ability to keep close tabs on our citizens outside our borders.

Inside our borders, our police keep firm check on anyone who might do criminal activites, which are cut down by the fact that every adult MUST go through mandatory military training, and that each police officer is a Reservist in the Republican Army. As such, crime is nearly non-existant. In Lanquassia.

If you feel that because I say that we are unable to violate your soverignity by searching your nation for our citizens who may or may not be commiting crimes in your nation, that we are requesting war -

Then I believe then I am.

If you found all your criminals, why would i have some of your criminals on Scarthona, you should at least be able to identify criminals and if you are the one who sent the criminals away from your nation, then you must not be a friend of the nations surrounding yours.

We do not 'let our criminals loose'. Once convicted of a crime, they serve their sentance and then are released. Unless it's a death sentance, in which case they are executed within two years of their sentancing.

What I am saying, and what you seem to be deliberatly misunderstanding, is that if there are any Lanquassian citizens - or any citizens of any nation - that commit crimes IN YOUR NATION, it is not up to that citizen's nation to police them in YOUR country.

Although with the chaos you seem to be describing, a visist from the Third Republican Army would help sort things out, and get those criminals off the street, wouldn't it.

Anyone who lets Criminals run riot should resign from their post. Crime in Trekster is almost no existance as we have a very tough Police Unit who deals with this and any form of rioting is quelled almost immediately. Any Criminals from Scarthona who enter Trekster, can be sure of one thing that they will be dealt with accordingly. :gundge:

While the nation of Clownshoesia can do nothing to stem the criminal element within Scarthona's borders, we offer instead to send troops to occupy the nation of Scarthona until security and peace, as determined by the Clownshoesian government, has been re-established.

Naturally, this would mean conforming to Clownshoesian laws, which has decreed that any criminal activity will result in capital punishment. The tradeoff for this, however, would be a complete lack of crime. Since the government of Scarthona has obviously failed to keep its own population safe, it should be only natural that a much larger, secure, and stronger nation step in and clean up the mess.

Godd news!!! I have managed to recruit many of the criminals into the Imperial guard which is now stronger than ever. Thanks to the armies of Clownshoesia we managed to control the Criminals and split them 50/50, while i recruited them i did not have an idea what Clownshoesia did and i am waiting for a hearing from him, Scorthona is now setting its site towards Lanquassia as they have disrespected our whole nation, the armies are preparing for war. :mp5:

The Brittonian Empire would have offered to send a small number of highly trained police officers to train native forces, as whilst being a small nation Brittonians pride themselves on their police force as being highly trained and effective. However, the brash behaviour of Scarthona has disgusted the empire who entirely condemn Scarthona's threats to nations attempting to help it in it's time of need. The recruiting of criminals into elite units of the nations army also disgusts the empire and worries them because of the risk of a coup brought on by the criminals in her forces. Criminals taking over Scarthona and her military assets ould be worrying for all other governments and the empire can confirm that if this were to occur, we would reply with all possible military force we could muster. We may be small, but we are also great and will not be bullied, nations allied against Scarthona have our full support, we only hope Scarthona's rulers see sense and round up these criminals and exhile them. But the empire doesn't want her criminals back and will not recieve them, any attempt to force them on us will be seen as a hostile act.

"Scorthana," said Secretary of State Edith Mayenne. "Population of five million, GDP of..."

"Hold it right there!" said the President, raising his hand to stop her. "Edith, whatever happened to holding a big independence celebration and asking every country in creation if you could send them an ambassador? Or having your state-run news agency run a banner headline of 'HELLO WORLD!'?!?"

"I know, I know," said Edith Mayenne with an air of resignation. "The first thing every new Head of State wants to do is declare war on somebody. At least this tinpot didn't declare war on the United Nation, the whole world, or the entire Milky Way galaxy..."

"That may not be a good thing," Blum mused. "I mean, at least when you declare war on the world someone will step forward and shield you from getting nuked. This guy did it in such a way that Lanquassia alone got his message. They could have decided to make Scorthona their next nuclear testing ground."

"Fortunately, he doesn't have an army or police. Except," added Mayenne, "For this 'Imperial Guard' of his, which looks like nothing more than an ill-trained pack of thugs."

"OK," said Michael Blum, pushing his breakfast dish aside. "Send them a diplomatic cable."

"What do you want to say?" she asked.

"Tell him we're buying him out, and ask how much for just the country..."

Today, the Armies of Clownshoesia announced their withdraw from the nation of Scarthona. The Scarthonans gift of prisoners have already been equipped with explosive "loyalty collars" and absorbed into its own prision legions. As Clownshoesias 20-foot tall genetically engineered super soldiers march through the streets in a farewell parade, the Minister of Foreign Affairs leaves a departing remark.

"Remember Scarthona, that there is always a constant war going on between the state and those who wish to bring ruin to your nation. You must give no quarter, show no mercy, and let them know that anything they do to harm the stability of the nation will bring them only death.

It is bad enough that your country has shown such weakness as to be overrun by thugs, but its also worse that you had someone else come in to clean up. Let us hope, that from here on out, you'll remember how to control what goes on within your borders."


An official statement from the Clownshoesian Forman has stated that it has no plans to join Scarthona in its military mobilization against Lanquassia, as it currently can see no profit in a war against a smaller nation.

OOC: Funny thing is, I actually do have more people in my military than citizens in Scarthona. At a measly 5% I have 5950000 active duty personell... Yes that's a little high, but I've RPed it before as actually a higher percentage. I pay for it with a slow reactivation time, becuase the military acts as the contractor for national construction projects, something that Lanquassia is still in desperate need of. Current active duty military personel, including Navy, Airforce, Special Forces, and the Army, are at 7 million men and women, all trained to fight.

The Senate today has ratified the request of Scorthonan political refugee Barry Fritz to forcibly end the reign of terror and chaos that has gripped Scortona after its currently leadership betrayed the mandate of its people to keep them free from crime, terror, and to keep their lives in proper order.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court this electoral year, Yule Barker, has announced that the Supreme Court, while finding this action iffy according to the Constitution, finds it only iffy, and not in violation of the Constitution, despite a minority protest amoung citizenry about 'Lanquassian military aggression to smaller nations.'

President John Blake, in accordance with the mandate set out by the Senate, has ordered Minister of War Carol Campbell to mobilize elements of the Lanquassian Special Forces, as well as activate the Third Republican Army, currently stood down on engineering works in Uriel, to be sent abroad to enforce order and properly handle these criminals.

According to Minister Campell's note to the Times, the mission goals of the Third Army would be to enter Scarthona, deal with the criminals, set up a temporary, more sane government in that nation, build a garrison in the Scarthonan capital, and leaving a garrison behind after withdrawing. The goal of the garrison would be to train Scarthonan police and military units in how effictevly eliminate the majority of crime in their nation.

The Times would like to say that we wholeheartedly support this action by the Government, and would like to note that anything we say would be biased towards them, although we will try our best to eliminate any bias into our news reports.

The Brittonian empire is willing to send in elements of it's special forces to act as advisors after the heavy duty warfighting had come to an end and the problem of dealing with guerilla tactics occurs, the empires spec forces have had much practice in this area dealing with the terrorism against the empire, scoring many successes. These special forces would however remain under the empires control but tasking requests are welcome to be submitted to the empires head of defence for consideration. We are with you whole heartedly in this action against the unstable Scarthonians and wish you a hasty victory against this despot nation.
