Einhauser brings you the machine spirit!

Einhauser

This is Einhauser’s brand of AI. They come in three types, Mark I, Mark II, and Mark III.

Mk I: Mark I machine spirits are simple constructs with no complicated programming. They can perform industrial tasks with ease, and excel at controlling construction equipment, although anything harder than that will usually confuse them. Basically a super-smart computer with a few human tendencies.

Mk II: Mark II machine spirits are military grade. They are able to control various types of weapons turrets with up to 300% more accuracy then humans, and can perform a great number of operations, ranging from counter-intelligence to counter-AI work. Basically a super-smart computer with lots of human tendencies.

Mk III: Mark III machine spirits are the epitome of computer design. They are capable of operating starships, fighters, exploration vessels, and all manner of equipment. There is nearly no task a Mk III cannot handle, and they outshine any other AI on the market. Basically a super-computer that could pass as a human, if it would stoop to such lows.

Each machine spirit is a copy of a human brain. The process to create them destroys the original brain, so the brains must be removed form recently dead corpses. This, however, results in some loss of functionality, so whenever possible machine spirits use cloned brains. The process leaves the machine spirit with a faint red luminescence, which will fade as the machine spirit deteriorates.

Each machine spirit is stored in a preservative filled dome about the size of a dinner plate. Modular sockets in the bottom of the tank allow them to be fitted to most Einhauserian technology. Currently these are not for sale, and this is only a reference.

Please note that these are different than the machine spirits of WH40K, although they share the same name.
