Diplomatic Exchange (MT)

Glasbyd
13-07-2005, 23:35
(OOC: This is only for MT countries.)

To Whom It May Concern:

The government of Glasbyd is now allowing embassies to be built in its capital, Landsdorf City. The only requirement is that the nations intending on building an embassy, must not be members of the United Nations.

The profits of building an embassy would include:

-Free Trade with Glasbyd-
-Access to Glasbyd's wide military resources, including products of the Glasbyd National Military Corporation, a large manufacturer of military supplies-
-The ability of citizens of either country to relocate themselves to the other-

Sincerely,

Lord Thomas Harding,
Glasbyd Minister of Foreign Affairs

Minister Harding,

Could you provide a bit more information about Glasbyd?

-Frank O'Moore, Rammsteinburg Minister of International Relations.

Minister O'Moore:

Glasbyd is currently a small nation of approxamately 30 million citizens.

We keep a small military, that is almost 1% of our population, while nearly 40% of our population is retired military, due to the fact that at least one year of military service is required once a citizen reaches 20 years of age.

Our government controlls all companies and corporations that exist in Glasbyd, though His Majesty, the King, has it in mind to open the country to more capitalistic and free market ideas.

Our consumer market is heavily influenced by our culture, tourists seem to enjoy buying native arts and crafts such as hand-made baskets. Although, in a census our younger citizens have claimed that their favorite products out on the market are sodas. But a growing industry is Arms Manufacturing, especially with the creation of the Glasbyd National Military Company.

Our crime rate is at a all-time low, and our economy seems to just keep going up.

Sincerely,

Lord Thomas Harding,
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Glasbyd
