Vintburg-13/7/05

2 million people have descended on the streets of Vintburg today in the name of the 'Stop Genocide Now!' movement.

Their Spokesperson, Sally McNose had this to day, 'All over the world Genocide is rampant. Not just Genocide, but governmental execution of people for their Political or Religious Beliefs, most notably the recent murder of Communists in El Caudillo'.

The protesters accuse the Foreign Ministry of not having taken Strict enough measures against these barbaric countries.

'We've done our best', says Foreign Minister Jo Mummad, ' But Genocide and persecution in Today's world is rampant, what can a medium sized Civil Rights Lovefest do about it? We're not going to war again, the memory of the Rovonia/Celestial Swords war is too fresh in peoples minds'

A passerby said, 'I think its a tribute to Vintovia that these people are protesting against whats going on outside Vintovia. And that they even have the right to!

The protesters are peaceful and have caused little damge, except a group who broke into the cellar of Vints & Noble to see if the new Harry Potter book was down there. Sadly for us all, it wasn't.

Leafanistan has also had a series of Anti-Genocide Protests, followed by rock concerts against it. It is our hope, that soon, Genocide will become an ancient barbarism, never again used, only mentioned in history books, as a grave mistake.

"Genocide is perfectly all right, provided people aren't being killed on the basis of race or religion, unless, of course, their religion is a demonic one. We kill people all the time because of their abhorrent political views, and it has made our nation a much better place for everyone...well, everyone except the ones being killed, of course."
