"Is it done?" Trakias asked of Defense secratary Acheson. The two men stood alone in the Tactical Command Post.
"Yes Mr. president, we have overthrown their governments and installed the designated people as dictators. Our troops now occupy both nations and we are mopping up all resistence." Acheson replied, his face shining with pride. This was the first tactical operation by the newly created Office of Covert Affairs, an invention of the new regime.
"Very good, how long before we can begin our resource extraction operations?" The predient asked, anxious to begin exploiting his new colonies.
"A few days, and we'll be in operation, sir..."

"In what appeared to be a covert operation by the OCA, the governments of the Protectorate of Facist Dominion and the Rouge Nation of the Overlord Slave Masters were overthrown. New 'leaders' have been installed, and Union troops have moved into secure vital resource centers and to quell any resistence to the new regimes.
'This move was legal and well within the bounds of our mandate' president Trakias announced, citing technical details regarding 'soveriegnty and territorial issues' in Union law. The new 'Protectorate' states are being considered property of the Union, and their resources will be contributed to our nation. While technicaly not actual nations, the two Protectorates functioned as soverign nations, having been settled by Union poineers and people from the territory that is now the Union, even before it was an incorporated state.
'We hope that the international community will understand that we have broken no laws, and will not interfere with this semi-internal matter,' said Secretary of State Allen Grady 'These were territories, not nations, therefore they do not fall under UN charter.'
