Kazakh Provinces Air Defenses were on low alert. They really didn't have the funding for a higher alert status, so most of the Air Defenses were top quality, but only turned on once a month for maintenance. The few radar stations that were active showed nothing, anyway, just some military patrols over Sudma.
As for the rest of the military, it was spaced out across the nation, either on stand down or in exercises. There was a couple of Divisions in Sudma, but it was hardly a military city. The south Border was relatively unprotected, with a low population and was a sparse region in every sense.
Perfect it would seem, for what was to come........

This is it. Thaeo, you can kick it off by saying what your plane does/doesn't do. Go ahead, fire away.
The C-37 had been loaded with a special cargo, as well as a squad of marines for additional security. As the cargo plane skirted the border of the Kazakh Provinces, one of the engines exploded. The plane, as it was headed to crash sent out coded signal to the TMC. On crash down, both pilots and six of the marines were kill out-right, two suffered moderate injury and two managed to make it with only scrapes and bruises.
SIC:
At TMC, SPD.
"Commander."
"What is it?"
The C-37 bearing Project Clean-Kill has crashed in foreign territory."
"WHAT, get men out thier yesterday. They are to recover Clean-Kill if possible, destroy it if not."
"Yes sir.
The squad of men assigned to clean up Project Clean-Kill assembled and set out in to the target site.

There had been a crash, the Queen knew, Theao had owned the pane, the Queen knew this as well, Theao would likely appreciate any help they were offered in cleaning up the mess they had created, and the Queen offered, a squad of infiltrators, 20 slivers, 4 muscle, 2 plated, 2 armor, 2 talon, 2 acidic, 2 guardian, 2 clot, and 4 zergling brood-mutants, they would be well equipped to deal with anything Theao might need them for.

At one of the many prefab warehouses in Leafanistan, Josef "Vlad" McGrath waited for his spy to report in. His personal security consisted of MG Technical's (pickups with MGs mounted on the rear) and several heavily armored SUVs. But the police would never find him. Josef was starting to get impatient. Then the spy ran in with a report from bribed intelligence officials. A 'Project Clean-Kill" was lost over Kazakh Provinces. Sounded like a chance for profit. Recovery and ransom back to its parent nation would be fun, or sell to the highest bidder. Perfect though Josef. He ordered the Black Hand mafia unit in Kazakh to find out as much as they could. A few hours later, bribes to intelligence officials started in the Kazakh Provinces.

After another hour of boredom, Sargeant Watson was getting fed up. There was nothing on his screen at all, just several passenger and container flights outside Kazakh airspace.
But wait....one of the dots on his screen, labelled "Thaeo, C-47, 86038" moved into the border. What the hell......it was losing altititude fast aswell, down to 2,000 feet, 1,000 feet.......he just had time to hit the alarm before it hit the ground and disappeared from his screen.

A report had been rapidly filed on the incident, and a reaction was quickly put together, which was unusual given the defense state. Sudma Air Base, being jumpy and ready for action, send a flight of three F-45's over to where the wreckage was last seen. It's on sight Airborne Soldiers Division was put on alert, and a Platoon put on QR duty.
A small squad of "Zulu" soldiers, the best in the Kazakh Army, were bundled on a helicopter from Bikanir, 300 miles north, and sent to Sumd, before being sent on to the crash site.

The three F-47's approached at ultra low altitude, riht over the crashite. The plan was the circle once, drop flares, then circle again.
The men tasked to deal with the project had arrived in the province that the plane had gone down in. They had rented a couple 4X4 off-road vehicles with the explaination of a hunting trip. They then headed into the brush in the direction the the C-37.
The Canadian Special Operation Forces that were stationed in Kazakh to train their elite commandoes, the opportunity of securing a possible hostile crash site was one of the best live-based training situations, however no mess ups were to occur. Colonel James C. Potter, the Team's Commander walked over to the helicopter as his team joined him with the Zulus.
The crash site description:
Large line of fallen trees and scrapped earth were the plane skidded. Both wings, and tail-fin snapped off. The front partially crumpled though the fuselag was remarkably intact, the only major visible difference between a standard C-37 and this one was the lack of windows. The hull is made of a denser/lighter alloy than normally used in planes making it harder to cut in.

Kazakh Provinces Air Defenses had been on a slightly higher state of alert, but not tha tmuch higher. Low enough, anyway, to allow a NCI Cargo aircraft to drop it's cargo near the crash site.
KP intelligence had heard a hightened national interest in the area as of now, and were keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. They were oblivious, however, to the Aircraft's special cargo.
The F-45's had reported back from their flyover - the aircraft had no windows, and had crashed rather brutally but the main body was largely undamaged. Enough for survivors, perhaps. Another flight of aircraft was being taxied to the runway, this time loaded with Ground attack weaponary. Just a precaution, said the airbase leaders.
The Ka-62 (a done up Kasatka) coasted low over the forests of the Sudmanian region, it's fourteen occupants (you can have eight dudes) sitting scrunched up inside. It wasn't comfortable, but they would be landing soon. One of the door gunners spotted the crash site, and the aircraft flew low over the wreckage, before hovering to spot any survivors in the tail of the plane.

The hired hitmen got into a armoured SUV the Black Hand provided. They got some papers that a bribed low-level intelligence official gave them. Coordinates and a preliminary satellite picture. They drove out, and loaded their AK-74s.
As the marines heard the planes, they made sure to stay where they couldn't be seen. Both the injured marines had been put under to let thier injuries heal.
Meanwhile the recovery team had reached the point where they would leg it the remaining distance.

Crash Site, 0502 Hours
There seemed to be nothign around the crash site, but one of the men inside, a Corporal, was sure he had seen something move in the fuselage. Unsure, the helicopter set down and let me men off, who then sweeped towards the wreckage quickly. Four men set out a perimeter, while the rest, including the Canadian Squad, "assaulted" the aircraft, weapons raised. The Canadian Colonel led the attack (you RP it, basically).
The helicopter meanwhile took off and circled around a kilometer away from the crash site. Once more, one of the gunners was sure he had seen something move on a passover. So the helicopter turned round and hovered over the area, as the gunner peered out over the long grass below.
Back again, another three F45's took off, set for the crash site within twenty minutes.....

The hitmen parked their SUV underneath some trees and heard the helicoptor.
The first one said "Well shit, how do we get it now?"
The leader of them said "Look all we have to do is take down the coptor, sow the seeds of chaos, and then, in the ensuing crossfire, find out what we need to know."
The second one, the demolition expert liked that idea. He lifted their lone Stinger launcher, aimed it at the helicoptor, and fired.
The hitmen then ran to the SUV and started to drive it away from where they fired.

The helicopter had sensor upon sensor, being a special forces copter, and detected the launch of the missile. The heclioter did not, however, have the maneuverability of a jet.
It's thermal signature was low, so it could evade a bit, but having just done a long, sweeping turn it could not do much.
The missile smacked the engine exhaust and blew the rear of the engine off the helicopter. It was flying low, less than 60 feet, at the time, and was heavily armoured, but that didn't make the crash less severe. It hit the ground left side first and rolled, killing booth door gunners and wounding the copilot. the pilot sat in the wreckage, unconcious. It had gone down about a kilometer from the crash site.
The three incoming jets saw the launch, bright as day. Their sesnors lit up the launch site, and then found the appropriate SUV, speeding away. As for maximum chance of destruction, each aircraft dropped two 500lb Cluster Bombs, before sweeping up and round, strafing the wreckage with 27mm cannons.

*prelude to screwing over my hitmen*
The hired guns heard the jets, the demolition expert rushed to reload the Stinger, but it was too late. The first bomb went off in front of the SUV, and it flew over the crater, the next one hit on its target. Little would be found of it.
