Koprulu Colonies

{OOC: This is my first RP, so tell me if I screw up. I am a fan of Starcraft, so my tech is primarily based off the games tech.}

Across the streets of Emehi, the capital city of Atecefu a planet on the rim of the Koprulu Colonies domain, protests raged on in the streets. The citizens of Atecefu were up in arms over the recent trade restricitions placed upon their planet due to a lack of policing by the colonial government to keep pirates from continually raiding merchant vessels. These new restrictions severely disrupted the economy of the planet, and was quickly putting it into a depression. Though all fault was upon the colonial government, the government managed to quickly rally support, with Atecefu on the rim of Koprulu Colonial domain it was rather difficult to keep order there. The citizens who protested in the streets were not protesting the colonial government, but rather the Confederate Government for their actions towards Atecefu, the people were more than willing fight against the Confederate government. Though, in one of the heaven-reaching skyscrappers sat a group of men in a ill lit room; little did the people know that these were the men whom would soon bring bloodshed to their humble backwater.

"It seems the people have rallied to our side better than expected," stated one the men, known as Theodore Rogers a well known colonial government offical.

"Indeed, we've even managed to get the local marshals on our side, and the militia," stated Carl Gilbert, the head of the colonial government.

Taking a drag of his coffin nail, the man known as Warren Barrington smirked, his facial experession barley being noticeable threw the cloud of smoke he exhaled, "I think it was most humorous when we humilated the Confederate outpost here by managing to keep militia to take over their orbital outpost due to that little stunt we now have the ability to fire at any Confederate fleet."

There were a few chuckles to this comment despite that most knew if the Confederates sent a fleet, that small oribtal platform wouldn't stop them by a long shot. They wouldn't hesistate to blast the capital city from space.

"How are planetary defenses doing in terms of ground forces?" asked Theodore, now lighting his own cancer stick.

"Poor at best," said Warren dryly, "Despite how the militia masterfully took over an orbital platform, they simply cannot comprehend how to defend this whole planet. They only about seventy-five thousand men at their command."

The room got quiet after that as the men comtemplated on how they would survive a Confederate onslaught, if there was going to even be one. Carl broke the silence and as if reading the other mens minds spoke up, "Lets just hope it doesn't come to that. I doubt the Confederates want to spend men and finances on such a petty thing as forcing us to accept the restrictions, espically when their not even popular on Koprulu itself; since their people rather enjoy our nearly limitless resources compared to their depleted mines."

The other men agreed with nods, and each were alittle more assured about the path they'd chose to follow.

-------------------------------

Andreas Picoulas continued to review the maps of the planet of Atecefu, the actual invasion of the planet would have been much easier if the Atecefu Colonial Militia hadn't taken over the orbital platform which defended the planet. Now the fleet would have to destroy such a valuble peice of equipment to launch the invasion. Andreas took another drink of his scotch and let out a sigh, drinking was a nasty habit he'd got into about two years ago when he lost the promotion to Supreme Admiral, now he remained a mere Rear Admiral, under the command of Carson Brackett, or better known as Grand Admiral Brackett. He let another sigh before setting his glass down and continued to review the map. That was when a knock came at his door.

"Rear Admiral, sir" stated a voice behind the door.

"Its open," stated Andreas. The door suddenly lifted up into the ceiling and in walked a simple soldier. "What is it?"

"Sir, Grand Admiral Brackett would like to see you immiedately as soon as possible," stated the officer.

"Very well, inform him I am on my way," stated Andreas. The soldier saluted, then walked out of the room. Despite how formal the good Grand Admiral attempted to be, the term 'as soon as possible' really meant 'right this bloody second'. Andreas stood up, and shut off the computer allowing the hologram of the map to disappear, then left to go see Brackett.

Walking down the narrow halls of the battlecrusier known as Guardian was tough to say the least, as several other people where in the halls and many had to turn sideways to get by. Though eventually he made his way to the bridge. As he entered he saw Brackett standing looking at several computer screens, thought he turned around when Andreas walked in.

"Come here, I want your opinion on something," stated Brackett. As Andreas got to the admiral he noticed that one of the computer screens had a external picture of the orbital platform of Atecefu, then he noticed that a screen next to it had the skimatics of the orbital platform. It was a basic design, following the landing in the hanger of the planet defender, one simply had to follow a hall down to the primary room, which the branched off in five other directions, each leading to different important parts of the ship, including the weapons control room, armory, communications, and even the command post.

"You know of the orbital platform the militia took from us, right?" asked Brackett. Andreas nodded. "As you know, we could launch Wraiths out to destroy it, though it would take a good deal of our planes with it. Probably more than we expect, since it was designed to do so. Though, what if we could take the platform?" stated Brackett.

"Though why Admiral, that would cost us more Wraiths and more men then required, we still have a planet to invade," stated Andreas.

"Indeed it would, but I'm not considering we take it simply to take it. Atecefu is a planet where the people act stronger than they actually are. In other words, their bird dog body cannot support their corcodile mouth," stated Brackett, "So what I'm think is if we turn this platform against them."

"Admiral, these people have revolted and caused much damage, but wouldn't Koprulu more than a little angry if you turned the planet into mass wasteland?" asked Andreas.

Brackett simply grinned a bit, "Now I'm not proposing we destroy the whole planet, as that goes against the Yaroro Agreement, simply all their military outposts, and prehaps shake the population up by firing a few rounds into major cities. Though nothing too harmful."

Andreas pondered for a few moments when he was inclinded to agree, "Indeed, I feel that a similar stratgey made provoke the population to rethink their revolutionary ideals."

Three squadrons of Wraiths, ten Wraiths in each squadron, had already launched from the various battlecrusiers in the Confederate fleet. Each squadron came at different angles, attempting to keep the enemies fire against them both light and divided, to give the transports time to dock onto the orbital platform. As the Wraiths each attempted primarily to dodge, and prehaps fire a few volleys into the orbital platform they quickly began to take losses as the various laser cannons on the orbital platform let rip volley after volley.

At that moment, several transport ships each carrying about ten marines each quickly made a dash towards the orbital platform. The transports themselves were of space design and had absolutely no defence measures on it. As they inched every closer to the docking bays the overall commander of the band of marines, a Capitan Smuttle radioed for the Wraiths to carry out their final objective. To forcifully blast open the shuttle bay doors to permit them to get in. Three wraiths broke off from their squadrons and made a mad dash towards the transports area. There were only unnoticed for limited about of time, until laser cannons were trained on their area and opened fire on them. One of the wraith immiedately were destroyed the remaining too got too close to the transports and put them in direct fire from the laser cannons. As the wraiths flew by, the laser cannon shredded at least two or three transports before another wraith managed to destroy the gun. Finally a wraith managed to quickly get in, open up with a volley of laser shots and destroy the bay doors. The transports quickly increased speed and in less then a minutes were already settling down inside of the bay room. As the transports opened, a flood of marines poured out in the CMC-300 combat armor, and quickly secured the area. Thankfully the militia had never expected an attack like this, and thus had assigned no one to guard the bay room.

Capitan Smuttle quickly began to bark orders out as marine units quickly rushed around, and a few began to go down the hall to the main corridor. About a few seconds lately, the hall lit up and the sounds of guass rifles being fired could be heard echoing threw the halls, and then all at once it stopped. All was quite for about a minute and a half, until three quick flashes of light from down the dark hall indicated that it was secure. The rest of the marines made their way down there. As they did, they learned that some poor fellow, on their side, had been slain. He had several holes in his chest and blood covering his armor. The sad part was, that while he lay on the ground and had to be moved for being a blocker in the path of the other marines, that his trigger was on his fire and some pressure had even been applied, this poor fellow was just a split second short and paid the ultimate price for it.

The other marines set his body aside, and squads were directed to go down different tunnels, about five men to each squad. With about seven men staying behind for guard duty. Minutes after each squad departed there was gunfire that echoed throughout the cold hallways of the oribtal platform. Except that there were no screams surprisingly enough. This was a quick, soundless but not bloodless assault. Each major room had been secured, including the main control room and weapons control room. With the marines only suffering three losses. A report was quickly sent back to the Guardian to inform Brackett of a successful operation, which in turn was music to his ears. Now the revolutionaries resolve would be tested in a trail by fire.
-------------------------------------------

The streets of Emehi were crowded full of people gazing up at a smoking tower, the tower itself was a simple commerical tower. While a fire in a skyscrapper was uncommon in Emehi, what caused the fire was what brought the masses. A Confederate wraith had been damaged and had to fly down to the planet to make a crash landing, sadly however it didn't quite make it to the ground. The people were not silent, after learning it was a Confederate one and that the orbital platform has caused it, they rejoiced and some shouted slogans of indepedance, believing that they had repelled a Confederate assault. Though in the same shady heaven-reaching tower, the men of the colonial authority sat in another discussion, this time more serious. They had met just three days ago pondering the possibility of a Confederate assault, now they joined to discuss what to do that it has come.

"Thanks to the wraith crash, the population is up and rejoicing, even if the Confederates do land and do win, this planet will give them a bloody nose for years to come," stated Carl. The others nodded in agreement.

"And what of the orbital platform, any word on how many Confederate ships? Are we talking a patrol, a detached force, or a whole fleet?" asked Theodore, staring directly at Carl.

"We lost contact with the orbital platform about an hour ago, it is expected to have been destroyed via battlecrusiers," said Carl dryly. That one word: 'battlecrusiers', gave all the men at the table a bad feeling. Battlecrusiers were rarely sent to the Outer Colonies to deal with revolts and uprisings, it made everyone wonder how strong the Confederate resolve was.

"Then are we to assume they've taken our little uprising here a bit more serious then we once assumed?" asked Warren with a hint of nervousness in his voice.

Quickly Carl raised his hand, "I highly doubt the Confederates have come here with a fleet for the purpose of blasting this planet to pieces, I believe that this is simply a show of force, they mean to intimidate us."

The other men looked at each other, then each let out a sigh. "I do hope you are right, Carl, or this will get really ugly, really fast," stated Theodore.

Just a Warren begin to speak up, a flash of light from outside the tower caught the attention of the men. They quickly rushed to the window, when they looked out and down to the mainstreet they were utterly shocked. What was once a road filled with citizens in a demostration in support of their government, there was now a red creater in the road, and a large group of people gone in an instant. More flashes occured, but the men could visibly see that they were going towards other locations--military locations.

"My God!" shouted Warren stummbling backwards, "They've turned the orbital guns against us!"

The other men looked on in horror, none turning back towards Warren. A silent chaos filled the room, as they watched as the people in the streets now screamed out and the sounds of emergancy teams rushed out. Panic was in the streets. The zeal of revolution was dying quickly.

The outer reaches of the Shadow Realm were probed constantly every day. Hundreds of ships continued to search for new allies and worlds to help fill the lust for conquest that the council had.
Deep runs had offten turned up the most enjoyable results though often at a price that wasn't that pleasing. As a result only the ships that had the classes of cruiser and up were permited to undertake these tasks.
One such ship the Peace class destroyer Infernal Sky had defolded only afew hundred thousand killometers from Atecefu in a briliant flash of sickly green that disipated in the particle wake of the engins firing cycle.

"Ma'am the fold was completed. All station reporting that no damage was sustained and all crew members and equipment is acounted for," the operations officer said from his post. He was a fresh out of the academy jr lt and wasn't to happy about his first assignment being a deep space recon run on the most lethal class of destroy in the PSN history. Captain Parker took note of this before issuing orders to her command crew. "I want every rock over five meters scanned, tagged, and if they are a threat posted on the map. I also want all hands to stand at type three battlestations and be ready to enter combat if the area is hostile," she barked with enough force to make a few of the other officers jump.

The bridge of the Guardian had just lit up in a frenzy, and unknown vessel had just warped into the area on the other side of Atecefu. As Brackett shouted orders, the results and answers to these orders were displayed across several screens. Andreas watched and debated in his mind what was going on. For countless centuries Koprulu had never come across any alien race more advanced or just as advanced as itself, some worlds did hold aliens with primitive technology but nothing too intelligant.

"Sir, what if this ship is an ally of Atecefu," stated Andreas threw the noisy chaos.

Brackett turned and looked at Andreas like he was stupid, "This is the Outer Worlds, no colonial government out here has the authority or finances to build even one modern ship."

"I'm not suggesting that is it theirs, think about if as you said these are the Outer Worlds, what if Atecefu found an alien race and aligned themselves with it, maybe that is why they were so bold as to go into open revolt against something as minor as trade restrictions," stated Andreas, "Admiral, it would be best not to put our guard down or go ahead with our invasion. Once the invasion begins we have to commit the entire fleet, save a few lesser warships, to the invasion. Imagine if that alien vessel is an ally of Atecefu and attacks us once we begin to land troops, or worse, if its a scout for a larger invasion fleet," stated Andreas.

It took Brackett a few moments to sink in all what he was hearing, but in the end it made perfect sense. Brackett's face turned different shades of red as he began to speak, "I want three battlecruisers and four wraith squadrons watching that enemy vessel at all times, if even acts like its going to attack the ships have permission to engage and destroy enemy target," shouted Brackett.

"Sir, I also suggest we sent world to fleet headquarters. They may know something we do not, and even if they don't then we've just discovered the first alien life in this void," stated Andreas. Brackett nodded in agreement and sent orders.

"I also want some kind of commuincation with this alien ship, contact them and send them the following message," stated Brackett.

I am Grand Admiral Carson Brackett of the Koprulu Confederate Space Forces, Teal Fleet. As it now stands you are offically in the boundries of the Confederacy of Koprulu Colonies, I kindly request that you please reply to this and inform us of your intentions in this sector."

The Alpha Squadron was reacting to transmissions coming from a colony in the Koprulu cluster, they would see what was going on, then they would act. General Duke was worried, something must be really bad if they were recieving transmissions from Koprulu again, but he didn't have time for worry, right as he started thinking about it the Fleet dropped from Warp space, into the Koprulu Cluster, and in the middle of a Situation.

The Infernal Sky was a beast. Streching in at 9km long she was a force to be reconed with and usualy the worst thing for first contact situations.
Captian Jennifer Parker yawned as she watched the fleet start to take notice os her ship. She had seen this hundreds of times before, usualy they were fired upon and got the chance to play with the newer Shadow Angel cannons. Though this race had atleast half the brain as to not attack head on with a ship of his size.
Jennifer looke overy the message quietly and to type up a reply.

This is the PSN Infernal Sky of the Shadow Realm of Phalanix.

"Sir we've got a reply back from the alien ship," stated the comm officer.

As it appeared on a screen in letters, Brackett observed and then sighed. "It appears they are only here for scientific research and are simply system hopping at the moment," stated Brackett.

"You think they speak the truth?" asked Andreas.

"Doubtful, but we are in the middle of an invasion. Prehaps we can send a diplomat and discuss how and when they will be leaving," stated Brackett.

At the same time he turned to one of the comm officers, "Send a message to headquarters, inform them that we have a 10-10-31, and a 11-78-31 situtation in the Atecefu Sector," he stated. Those numbers indicated that an alien ship had been found and contact had been made. Generally it would mean two more fleets from nearby sectors would quickly be sent to ensure the alien ship didn't attempt any aggressive action.

Suddenly another technician spoke up with nervousness in his voice, "Admiral, we have multiple contacts."

Brackett and Andreas both shouted for it to be put on the screen. As sensors scanned each ship quickly, data was placed upon the screen. Both Andreas and Bracketts jaws dropped when they learned that some of the ships were similar to Confederate ships in design, but had alternate parts on them.

"Are they making any contact with the other alien ship?" exclaimed Brackett.

A moment of silence filled the room before a technician spoke up, "No sir, none at the moment."

"Contact that unknown fleet too, send the following message," said Brackett.

The fake mission was highly doubtful and the fact that it was holding was amazing enough. The real mission, recon a small colony for invasion, would have to be scrubbed in light of this discovery and all forces alerted of a potential target in light of the recently located colony clusters.
The locator pulse was sent out through the fold and to all PSN ships within one hundred lightyears.
Onboard the black armoured Elite troopers began to take palces around the ship armed with XR serries rifles they were waiting for any possible risk of boarding action that might occur.
"I doubt the mask will hold up much longer," Jessica muttered as she sat waiting for the next move to be made.
As she did a new fleet of ships appeared and were being logged but since no messages were sent to them they remained quiet.

Less than one-hundred lightyears away, a small black cylinder sat in space. An unseen wave of electromagnetic radiation enveloped it for a time, and the only change that could be seen on the outside was a bliking red light.

Awareness comes to me abruptly. Apparently, a signal was sent into space near my position. Computing...That took a phenominally lengthly .004 seconds. I must get my circuitry maitenenced. The signal appears to be a locator pulse. I have summoned a Class IV Battlegroup to the origin of the pulse, but other than the pulse's existance I cannot give any data on the events that occured to preempt it. I unfold the SWIFT FTL communications antenna and begin my transmission...

A flat, sickly purple color appeared in the system, in four spots. Three seconds later, four ovoid ships appeared, over twenty-kilometers long each, and began to rotate. Communications pulsed to the Phalanix ships, Mini Miehm, and the ships of the Koprulu Colonies.

" We are the Concordiat. Provided with insufficient data, we have come to find out for ourselves. Please, with the greatest expediency, explain the situation here to us. Concordiat out."

A letters came across the screen from the "Terran Dominion" ships, they were peaceful words, and words that would be accepted. Brackett, however, due to the other alien ship known only as the PSN Infernal Sky was not attempting any aggressive action would have to decline any Dominion asistance. That was of coarse before another string of events occured.

"Sir, we have a strange reading," stated one of the technicians. Brackett growled, he was expecting to see more fleets from different races arrive like they had already. Yet this reading was different.

"What is it? Signs of unknown ships again?" asked Brackett.

"No sir, much different, its a locator pulse," exlcaimed the technician.

"From where?" asked Andreas.

"The alien ship," said the technician before he realized how vague that was, "The PSN Infernal Sky, sir."

Brackett wasn't shocked at all, he didn't believe the idea of a 'scientific' research, espically for a ship armed like the Infernal Sky was. Brackett looked over at Andreas who shared the same look of shock-but-understanding.

"I want that ship engaged, and destroyed immiedately," stated Brackett, "I want the Wraiths to engage first, draw their main fire. All Battlecruisers are hereby orders to fire their Yamato guns at the alien shiped known as the PSN Infernal Sky. Do not attempt to engage it with laser weaponry unless absolutely nessecary."

With that one command, another frenzy of highly encrypted communications swarms across the Confederate Fleet. Quickly the Teal Fleet turned and made their way towards the alien ship. Brackett knew the enemy ship would see this as hostile and would engage, thus to ensure the Teal Fleet wasn't crammed together he divded it into several 'Battle Squadrons'. As the Teal Fleet began to split apart, it would make the enemy ships ability to destroy the whole fleet much more difficult. While this was happening, all Wraith Squadrons launched from their Battlecruisers and made their way towards the PSN Infernal Sky. Once in range they opened up with a hail of laser fire.

Back on the Guardian, Brackett watched as the Teal Fleet made its moves to engage. Andreas, however, remebered the offer by the Terran Dominion and offer to assist them in any way.

"Admiral, why don't we get the assistance of the Terran Dominion?" stated Andreas. Brackett ignored him at first.

"Sir, you know that even if we destroy that ship they will be able to trace it and their fleet made be much larger than our own," stated Andreas. Brackett sighed.

"Send the following transmission to the Terran Dominion, encrypted to the highest possible levels," stated Brackett.

"General Duke. As I am sure you have noticed, there is an alien ship here known as the PSN Infernal Sky. As it stands they are being a beacon for the rest of their fleet, and their fleet is going to attempt to colonize a Koprulu Colonial planet. We are curious if you, as fellow Terrans, would be willing to assist us both now and in the upcoming battle. We await your reply. Brackett out."

Explain your reasons for attacking this vessel. If you do not cease fire we will return fire and forceably obliterate you and your pathetic empire. We are not in he mood to forceably remove a group we have yet to express intrest in.

The Infernal Sky wasn't going to be a push over. Fighters were already streaming out of her hangers by the dozzens and begining to engage the Wraiths returning fire with the 56mm tri-barrel smoothbore auto-cannons and other such toys.
The destroyer however had other plans. Her several hundred plasma cannons were already charging and begining to fire towards the firing ships while Fallen Angels* and the three Shadow Angel** cannons began to fire asfast as they could cycle n the closest ships. During this time the ship had begun to move with surprising speed for a ship it's size.
Inside it was a rush of men and women ether reaching battle stations and returning fire form the many many missile batteries or usig the few hundred 50mm anti-fighter cannons.
Though the ship rocked from impacts as the sheild sytems held but weakened in areas even though the odd fraction of a impact broke through areas and scared the 4 meter thick armor sometimes slicing into the inner hull.

* Fallen Angel cannons are a combonation of both energy and kenetic force weapons. They wrap a super high powered plasma blast around a hyper dense ball and launch it at mach 10. Average cycle time of about 2 min.

** Shadow Angel cannon's are basicly enhanced Fallen Angel cannons designed to obliterate. Though they have a cycle time of about four min a shot.

As soon as this message reached all Wraiths, they broke off their attack and quickly rushed back to the Battlecruisers and formed a defensive formation.

"Send a message to Infernal Sky," exclaimed Brackett.

"As it stands you have activated a locator pulse, in the middle of Confederate territory. You did so without permission or without even informing us of why you were doing it. Brackett knew that headquarters would have his head on a plate if they learned of his attack on the Infernal Sky, thus he had decided to peacefully resolve the situtation now and hope to make up for his mistake by gaining another Confederate ally. On top of that, he had just received word back from the Terran Dominion that they would not assist in an attack against the Infernal. In a sense he was disappointed in their hesistance to engage a potentially hostile threat. Brackett sighed. He would have to do a lot of diplomacy with both Phalanix and the Terran Dominion to resolve this.

----------------------------

Alek Kovalev, Teal Fleet offical diplomat, muttered a curse under his breath has he straightened his suit. He was absolutely thrilled to be the first human to speak with an alien race. Though his anger came from how Brackett had set up the meeting, by firing on the Infernal Sky it made them angry, making diplomatic ties strained from the start. However, he was a first class diplomat, he had been apart of the Crisis of Aczoehi III where the diplomatic solution avoided turning the planet into a giant black glass orb. He would solve the situtation or at least make relations a lot better.

Once finishing getting ready, he made his way down the narrow halls of the Guardian and eventually to the hanger bay. As he got there, three troops stood there though these were not marines these were highly trained and highly effective ghosts.

"Yes sir, we are your escorts," stated one of them, whom was slightly taller than the others.

"Telepaths, eh?" stated Alek. He himself didn't like or dislike ghosts or telepaths, the only problem he has was that around them his thoughts were not secret. Then it hit him, these ghosts could be masters of diplomacy or at least excellent escorts to ensure nothing went wrong and if it did, that they would stay a few steps ahead.

"Shall we go sir?" asked one of the ghost, ignoring his last statement. With that, all the ghosts and Alek entered a transport and departed. They slowly made their way towards the PSN Infernal Sky and awaited orders from them.

---------------------------

Message to the Terran Dominion:

"We understand your situtation. Hostilies between the Confederacy of Koprulu Colonies and the PSN Infernal Sky are over at the moment. As such, we know all too well how closely designed, yet so unquie your own ships are. We would like to establish diplomatic ties with you and prehaps discuss other...agreements. Brackett out."

Transmission to Brackett:

We'll send over a diplomat to your ship, with two marines as an escort, our Dropship will remain there until negotiations are completed if that's acceptable to you. Duke out.

The Concordiat ships' request for data was not satisfied. The machines, watching the engagement, grew restless, and shields popped on and point-defense turrets snapped on, followed by standard weapons, missiles, and heavy weapons.

"We will not be denied. Please respond post-haste or we will be forced to take control of the situation ourselves."

Four missiles spat out, and swerving missiles narrowly missed the bow of the PSN ship Infernal Sky and the ships that launched the Wraiths.

"Please respond quickly, as our circuits are fraying, and some connections can be fatal to you."

OCC: Hah I knew you'd use Ghosts for the escorts. Oh and just for kicks you might encounter a member of the Royal Snipers in the halls. And they are exact look a likes to Ghosts (but with more powerful and faster cycling weapons).
IC:
As the transport was launched from the Gaurdian the fore hanger door's opened up and three of the fighters that were flying a flight path around the Infernal broke off and shot towards the transport. Like phantom's (ironicly they were called VBR-5 Phantoms) they appeared around the transport their jet black hulls helping to hide them.

You are to follow us in. You will stay at this speed
untill we are roughly 100 meters from the hanger.
From their you will cut all power and we will take you in.
Do you copy?

Jsut as the missiles flew by the Infernal's own weapons systems quickly shot back online and began to target the ONI threat.
"Ma'am we have a new contact. Seems to be saying that it wants something...information. The hell? Though it did fire warning shots at us."
"Christ... target them with everything and preprepared to fire in a instant. Also I want the Shadow and Fallen Angel's charged to maximum capacity to be ready to deliver a hopefuly lethal impact."
"Yes ma'am."

{OOC: Well I didn't assume ghosts were godmoding so I decided to us them. Besides, one cannot be expected to not use all the resources at his diposal.}

Alek watched as one of the ghosts, the taller one listened to the contact from the PSN Infernal Sky's fighter vessels and contacted in agreement. With that the now 'diplomatic' transport slowly made its way towards the PSN Infernal Sky and slowly edged its way into the ship and set down. Upon doing so, the ghost reached over and powered down all system, excluding life support for the moment and waited. Alek and the ghost waited until Infernal Sky's defence crew came onborad the ship and escorted them out first before risking stepping out and getting vaporized.

----------------------------------------

Brackett and Andreas were joyous with the recent turn of events, they watched as the Terran Dominon's 'diplomatic' transport made its way towards them and sent Wraiths out to escort it to the hanger bay. Suddenly, in a flash of chaos, technicians and comm officers began to get reading all over the place.

"Report," exclaimed Andreas.

"Sir, we just got a message from one of the Wraiths escorting the Terran Dominion's vessel, they were almost hit by a missile," stated a technician.

"Also," stated another technician, one near the sensor controls, "We've just picked up two contacts, they barley missed various ships in the fleet sir."

"Is it from either alien vessels?" asked Brackett.

"No sir, though it is from an alien vessel its from one off in the distance."

Brackett looked at Andreas, whom just shrugged and said, "I'm not surprised anymore, I'm just waiting for little green men to show up next."

"Activate all defensive weaponry, I want whoever fired that locked on immiedately, tell any Battlecruiser within range of the ship to charge their Yamato guns," stated Brackett.

"Sir, the ship is attempting to contact us. They're demanding that we not ignore them again and please give them information," stated a technician, "They have threatened to open fire again if we refuse."

Bracketts face turned red again, he was a man who could keep his anger but under the given circumstances he was quickly losing control over it. "Send this message to them, or it, or whatever they are," stated Brackett.

Message to ONI Concordiat:

"I am Grand Admiral Carson Brackett of the Koprulu Confederate Space Forces, Teal Fleet. You have just violated multiple Confederate laws and have openly fired upon and then threatened Confederate Military Forces. You are hereby ordered to power down all weapons and shields and be peacefully leave this sector. Failure to comply will result in your ships immiedate destruction. Brackett out."

Brackett smirked at Andreas, "This time we're in the green if we attack. I've never met an alien race whos peaceful greetings are firing missiles and threats," stated Brackett. "Indeed sir," agreed Andreas.

OCC: Na they never are GMing. Besdies Ghosts kick ass I could never call a GM on one.
IC:

Though the transport expected to be boarded it wasn't. Two of the three fighters converted to the hybrid from and used one of their arms (the one not holding the auto-cannon) and used their own thrust to guide the transport in. The third hung back being ready to vaporize the tranport if it even fired it's engins.
As the two fighters brought the tranport safely down in the hanger several dozzen black armored guards stood at the ready with very little difference in weapons. Though the odd one did ressemble a Ghost with the exception of a smaller rifle.
The enviromental sheilding system kicked in and a forcefeild blocked the transport from the void.

Alek and the three ghosts heard what the PSN Infernal Sky's crew said, and the ghosts decided to go out first: one at a time of coarse. As the first one exited the ship, its cansiter rifle was slung over its shoulder and its hands raised in the air. Ghosts were taught young that in diplomatic situtations they had a few guidelines to go by. First, never carry your rifle when meeting an alien race, it makes them trigger happy. Second, even if you don't carry your rifle keep your hands up, as everyone knows you have a sidearm. Three, don't make any sudden moves. And each Ghost as they exited one at a time followed these guidlines, and finally Alek made his own way out and looked at the black armored troops.

"Greetings, I am Alek Kovalev offical diplomat of the Teal Fleet. If you would, please, I'd like to speak with your captian or another representative," stated Alek. The Ghosts kept their eyes on for any sudden movements made by the black armor troops, if they were going to be double crossed they wanted to a least take a few of them down before going to meet their maker.

------------------------------

Brackett watched in humor and disgust at the reply of the ONI Concordiat. He had heard of inferior life with inferior technology, but never inferior life with modern technology. Though from what Brackett read, the Concordiat ships were machines built for war, and appearntly thought very highly of themselves.

"Admiral, three battlecruisers have their Yamato guns charged and locked onto Concordiat ships, awaiting your orders," stated a comm officer.

"Fire," stated Brackett dryly.

With that simple command, the three Battlecruisers suddenly sprung to life. As red particals quickly began to come together in front of the ship they formed a massive red ball of energy. Suddenly all three fired, and a thick, large, and lethal red beam cut threw space and headed towards the ships of the Concordiat.

--------------------------------

Despite the situtation with the PSN Infernal Sky and the Concordiat. The Terran Dominon's diplomat's vessel slowly set down inside of the Guardian and set down. Quickly marines and even a few goliath walkers surronded the vessel, any unwise moves made by the ship would be greated with spike fire.

The Ghosts were already being watched through rifle sights, that were ready to spew forth 14.5mm HE slugs and tear through almost any unsheilded armor, as a officer stepped forth. By the rank bars on her sholders she was a commander, though a very young one at the age of only twenty. "I'm commander Knightly. I'll be escorting you to the breifing room. If you attempt anything you will be confined and the guilty member or members shall be sentenced under our law," she stressed the last part extremly, "Now if you would follow me." She motioned towards one of the many door ways and waited for the four to come closer so she could lead them.

In the briefing room Jessica wasn't alone. The ship's AE* trooper was with her as well as a pair of Demon** SF's. She realy wished this wouldn't turn into some mindless debate about military might like the last three worlds that attempted to resolve problems with saber rattling.

OCC:
* AE are basicly like Ghosts given extremly advanced powered armor with sheilding systems and are basicly jacks of all trades.
** Demon SF's wear powered armor that has several "veigns" that pump plasma through them that power the suits. The tubes give them a disturbing red glow and their helmets have horn like points. So think armor like demons but with extremly ruthless humans inside.

{OOC: I'm assuming with that last post that is a signal for me to begin talks.}

Once inside the military briefing room, Alek sat down in a show of respect. He waited for Captain Knightly to do so, once she did he began.

"Captain, weather you may be aware of this or not. You are the first 'alien' race that the Koprulu Colonies have ever come across," stated Alek. "I do not wish to be rude, but I am primairly here to learn about your race. Koprulu does not desire war, but understanding. Thus if you would be so kind as to tell us what planet you are from, what is your empire or nation like? Have you come across other alien races besides our own?"

---------------------------

Once the Terran Dominion's diplomat was onborad he was quickly escorted to a briefing room where once he was seated inside, a familiar man walked into the room. It was Andreas, the Rear Admiral of the Teal Fleet. He sat down and straightened his suit. After a moment, he waved to one of the Ghosts in the room whom then went over to the bar, which was common in diplomatic rooms such as these, and grabbed a bottle of wine and two glasses. The Ghost set one down next to Andreas and poured him a glass of wine and then one glass was set down next to the Terran Dominions diplomat and he was offered a drink. After his decision, Andreas decided to speak.

"I apologize for my rudness. I am Rear Admiral Andreas," stated Andreas. "I will be representing the Confederacy of Koprulu Colonies during this establishment of ties. First off I would like to say I am very surprised to see another humanoid-like race out there in the void, and surprising you look very human enough to make me doubt me being a human. Firstly, I would like to ask about your government, who leads your people? Are you a monarchy, dictatorship, republic, or empire?"

Jessica shook her head and chuckled, "I'm captian Jessica Parker. You looked at the rank bars wrong. Before we start would you like anything to drink or eat? After Parker made that comment, one of the Ghost escorts leaned down, though had both hands in the air to show his non-hostilites, and spoke to Alek.

"Control your thoughts, there have psonic units," stated the Ghost, "And they know I just said that too." The Ghost then straighted back up.

Alek cleared his throat, "No thank you on the food and drink. I apologize for the attack on your vessel, Admiral Brackett thought your vessel was attempting hostile moves. Your ship activated a locator pulse and you must understand that the planet we are current close to is known as Atecefu, and it is in revolt. You arrived just as the invasion was about to be launched, then activated a locator beacon which gave us the impression you were attempting to summon a fleet, and as I'm sure you're aware of you are in Confederate territory. Though I do hope we can move on past such an event."

Behind Alek, the three Ghosts kept their own thoughts concealed deep within them. Alek did the same, he was quick when it came to thinking and speaking almost doing both at the same time. He'd learn to do it during several diplomatic adventures where Ghosts were present and he had to think before they could.

But anycase atleast the admiral came to his senses before we did have to summon a fleet. Though I'm sure my crew would have had far to much fun crushing afew of your ships and seeing how the weapons behaved after extrem fold jumps." She reached out to one of the glasses on the table and began to pour herself a drink when the AE trooper, a officer ranked at major, sat down finaly and was carefuly studying the four. "So you wanted data on the Shadow Realm. Hope you arn't squeemish becasue most of the history of Phalanix is drenched in blood. And we are talking in the hundred millions killed in just one civil war. Glad I wasn't born around then," she said muttering the last part as she tapped something in the air and a slot in the tabel beside Alex. "Thats everything that the government has cleared up untill one year ago. They're still debating on what they can declassify next."

Koprulu didn't expand this far without having some 'red' memories," stated Alek. "I thank you for the tape though, I am sure that Admiral Brackett and myself will review it upon the return to the fleet. Now, I have another question one I do hope you can answer," stated Alek, "Your offical reason for being out here was for scientific research and exploraton. However, once in space you activated a locator pulse which we have determined to be some kind of summoning beacon, we are curious if you wouldn't mind telling us your real reason. As summoning a fleet during scientific exploration isn't common to us."

"Well actualy it is a navigational proticol that acts as a way for PSN ships to note where a ship is jumping from. It in a sense does act like a locator pulse but for a diffrent reason. About three years ago a cruiser entered foldspace and never returned. The report stated that the ships that were all in the same battle group jumped in seperate fold bubbles and when they exited foldspace the cruiser was missing. The cruiser still has yet to be located," Jessica replied as she took a quick drink before continuing, "The pulse acted as a starting point for when we jump. It includes the heading we plan on taking, though only PSN type A-III AI programs equiped with the proper cypher can know the location."
The AE major finaly spoke, "There is another reason. Roughly ten years ago a rebellion occured within my unit. They stole a large number of ships and folded to some unknown star system. Since then they have been fighting a war with the Shadow Realm. As a result the pulse acts to alert PSN ships of our location and if we don't send a second pulse before we jump they know something happened and a scout ship comes to find otu what."

Warren Barrington's world was crashing down around him. He had gone from a child hood friend of Carl Gilbert living on the remote farmlands of Atecefu, to rising the rank of running over a part of the planet under Carl's colonial government. His life had been set to be an easy one, living on an endless stream of koprulu credits (KC's currency), having all the women he ever wanted, and absolute power over a part of planet. Yet his primitive desires for more power, more women, more koprulu credits had driven him to follow Carl in his mad quest for power by challanging the Confederate Government. Now with Atecefu slowly being blasted to ashes from an orbital platform by which none where out of its range. Now with the capital city mostly in peices the fragile group of men where slowly beginning to realize that the end was going to draw near. Warren hoped to end it without loosing too much power. Now the men met inside the same tower, in the same dark room they began to discuss what their next course of action would be.

"Any word on why the Confederates haven't invaded yet?" asked Carl to all the men.

"Nothing yet, all of our satelliates have been knocked down, so our eyes beyond the planets surface was effectivly gone," stated Warren.

"Then what shall we do? Surrender? Fight?" asked Carl. Suddenly both Theodore and Warren shifted in their seat, each wanting to speak first but waiting for a signal. Carl glanced at Warren first.

"Given the circumstances I believe we should just surrender," stated Warren with nervousness in his voice.

"Absurb!" shouted Theodore, "If we surrender to the Confederates they'll just kill us as a sign to the other colonies to not rebel!"

That singal phrase made Carl give a look at Warren a look of he's-got-a-point. Warren swallowed, "Maybe, maybe not, if we surrender then we spare thousands of colonial militia their lives. I doubt they kill us, maybe thats why they haven't invaded and why they've only shot at us with the orbital guns. They could have already invaded and overrun most of the planet by now. And spare me to the speech about how brave men win the day Theo, we all knew that a Confederate invasion signaled certain defeat."

Theodore turned several shades of red, he didn't loose his temper until Carl's he's-got-a-point look turned on him. "You coward! Will you not stand against the Confederates? I believe you're just surrendering to keep what little power you have left! Let me tell you this, even if we surrender do you think the Confederates will let us just continue to rule this planet? We were lucky to even keep our power when we ousted the military magistrate, and we only survived then because we made deals with the Confederates and pulled a lot of strings! If we surrender their not going to let us rule this world, their going to send us to labor camp!"

The argument suddenly turned back into Theodore Rogers favor as his speech looked to have a major impact on Carl. Warren had a good counter, but before he could speak Carl's voice rose up, "Treason is considered the highest of all crimes, originally punishable by death, now its only punishable by a lifetime in a labor camp. Warren do you think all those politians on Koprulu will be so willing to attempt to keep us in power. I believe the last time you spoke with them, two years ago when we ousted the magistrate they said that next time the best they could do was ensure that we got better rations in a labor mine."

Warren face turned white as he remebered those exact words, now his face was grim. "Then it is settled. None of us desire to spend the rest of our lives in a labor camp, so we fight to the bitter end," stated Theodore. Carl nodded in agreement and both men looked at Warren whom now had his head in his hands, he lifted his head and noticed that they were looking at him. "Very well...to the bitter end," he said with bitterness in his voice. Though his mind spoke different, he would not let his life end so soon.

------------------------------------

Three hours later--KCS Guardian--Holding position near Atecefu...

Admiral Brackett stood still as he continued to review at least a dozen different screens. These last few days had been trying on both his mind and soul. He was a religious man by profession but rarely practiced it. He had encouraged at least three different aliens, and had engaged in temporary combat with one of them. With both of them diplomatic discussion were already well underway. Headquarters had yet to reply to their message, which was no unusal it would take days for it just to reach the right person due that this was the Outer Worlds. He had already viewed the data of all the different types of alien ships at least two dozen times, carefully seeing what made them superior to Koprulu ships, he had found several things. During the short engagement with the PSN Infernal Sky, the sensors had picked up a great deal of energy radiating from different parts of the ship, almost like some kind of energy weapon. During the dozens of scans on the Terran Dominion ships both the Human-like and the golden vessels which suddenly had shown up he had discovered a type of shield was present around all of them, giving them a great deal of protection. Prehaps protection enough from whatever weapons the PSN Infernal Sky had. Which raised another concerning question, was the Terran Dominion and the Phalanix rivals or enemies of some kind? With the sheer power of the Infernal Sky and the defense of the Terran ships did it mean they were in the middle of a Sword-Armor race? To add to that suspicion was that during the transmission with the Terran Dominion their commander, a General Duke had stated that under different circumstances that they would assist in attacking the PSN Infernal Sky but they would not due to other reasons. Did that mean that the Terran Dominion had been enemies of Phalanix?

All these questions riddled his mind has he attempted to sort out the issue. If they had been at war with one another, then the Confederacy would have to choose sides least it be forced to in the future. But whom to side with? Phalanix seemed to have their act together, but it could be a show, they could just be a bunch of barbarians stummbling across the universe killing anything that was inferior to them. The Terran Dominion appeared to be better organized, though prehaps a little overbearing bringing a whole fleet to an unknown system. They appeared to be a better choice due that they had, from word of observers listening in on the diplomatic discussion between Andreas and Angus, rallied atleast four different races together into a coalition. Though such a coalition could break up, and if it broke up during a war prehaps a war against Phalanix, could the Confederacy holds its own against Phalanix? Prehaps, but with serious technoloigcal advancement, prehaps something they could get from the Terran Dominion. A strong enough Armor could easily make a powerful Sword useless. All these questions would soon be answered.

"Sir, we're getting a message...its coming from Atecefu," stated a technician.

"Display," stated Brackett. The technician began to press a series of buttons and the message appeared on the screen. Brackett was surprised what he was reading.

"I am Warren Barrington...

I am apart of the colonial government leading the rebellion. I come to you now fully surrendering myself to the Confederate military. I have very valuble information including heavy resistance points, along with where the rest of the major rebel leaders are. If you will send someone who can take me back to your ship I will give you this information. Though on one condition...you permit me to stay a leading figure in the government of Atecefu. No labor camps, no prisons....if you agree the following coordinates are secure, you could land a transport vessel without anyone knowing, I've made certain of that."

Brackett couldn't help but smirk. Appearntly Mr. Barrington had, had one too many blasts hit near his comfortable office and had decided to give up. While this was joyous news, it could very well be a trap to get information out of a Confederate soldier. He pondered on this for severals minutes before concluding that it was worth it.

"Get a Ghost down to those cordinates," stated Brackett.

{OOC: Yep, sorry about that. If I didn't post something about the revolt, it would seem odd.}

Alek sighed aftering listening to Jessica's statment. He had run across her type before, during other diplomatic missions. Her attitude of absolute superiority, of looking down upon others. In the Confederate military such an attitude would be met with an unfortunate accident, it proved the lack of dicipline and over-crutching of technology that the Phalanix military. Yet, it could be a show put on simply to test the resolve of Alek and the Confederacy. He would meet arrogance, with intelligance.

"I apologize, but giving technological information is beyond my authorization level," stated Alek, "It is also beyond Admiral Bracketts or anyone in Teal Fleet sadly enough. Though about these other races you speak as if we are inferior to both them and yourselves."

Had twelve diffrent empires preparing to attack us at once but they backed down at once after seeing how two of their allies had been butchered within the first attack. Not a pleasent sight. How ever since they learned a lession that we could obliterate them the council let them live. Not a day goes by without someone trying to kill the Shadow Realm," Jessica replied her face slightly flustered at the recollections of so many battles that were almost lost and the thousands dead becasue of those mistakes.

Alek quickly caught the look on Jessica's face, he had seen it before when discussion the surrender of rogue generals who'd forced the Confederate Military to retake a planet, mile by mile, yard by yard, but had failed in the end.

"I assure you. The Confederacy has no intentions of going to war with the Shadow Realm of Phalanix. We are actually interested in establishing some kind of mutual alliance. Prehaps to better understand each other to ensure such mistakes that you've spoken about don't happen," stated Alek.

"These, Zerg, what exactly are they? Do you have any copies of their units that could perhaps be sent to our ship for inspection. All we need is data, no real units themselves," stated Andreas.

-------------------------

"Interesting to say the least. We too have had our problems with our own Psonic units in the past, but we have them under control now," stated Alek. "If I may ask, you're attitude seems to suggest that you've encountered several other races before we encountered us. I am curious if you could please assist us in contacting them," stated Alek.

Andreas reviewed each of the breeds, two of them caught his eye: the hydralisk, and the drone. The hydralisk appeared to have a more interesting ability, the ability to morph into another creature known as a "Luker". The drone appearntly had the ability to morph into different buildings, one of the buildings which could indeed spawn more drones. These two would be the two the Confederacy would desire to invest more time into.

"The Hydralisk, and the Drone," stated Andreas.

"Done, I will send word to send a Drone clutch and a Hydralisk pair over."

From the Leviathans of the Dominion fleet a pair of Dropships were dispatched, 4 Drones and a pair of HKs were one each of the dropships, when they arrived they would stun the Confederates with their appearance.

"Sir, the alien creatures are onborad," stated a technician.

"Very well, have marines escort them to cells, I want them locked up and at least ten marines watching them at all times," stated Brackett.

With that orders, at least twenty marines escorted the group of alien creatures down the hallways of the ship. All crew who were in the path of the escorts and aliens were confined to their quarters and as the alien creatures passed threw, a chemical was released into the air to kill any germs or viruses the creatures may be carrying. The marines were in full combat armor and thus were very safe from any biological viruses. The alien creatures were put in full lock down, and put in an airtight cell where their own personal air was pumped in. Each were given their own cell.

After the proper lock down protocals were fullfilled, Brackett made his way down to the cells. He entered the room though in full combat armor just to be on the safe side. He viewed each of the alien creatures, they were horrible looking things. Their flesh twisted and their aliens crying out both intelligance and bloodlust. If these creatures could be controled and mass produced the Confederacy would have solved its numerical inferiority problem. A Ghost was standing in the room quietly, a Ghost was always present in situtations like this. As if out of the blue, the Ghost yelled out in a scream and fell to the floor. Brackett spune around and already the ten marines in the room had their rifles aimed at him. Brackett lifted his hand as an order for them to not shoot just yet. The Psonic unit continued to yell when suddenly he jumped up, dropped his canister rifle and ran out of the room.

"I want that unit captured and brought to the intergriation room immiedately!" shouted Brackett.

One of the marines reached over and pulled a red lever, it was a red alert lever. The ships lights all went red, as marines and ghost in full combat gear rushed into the hallways of the ship and orders began to flash out telling them to bring in a renegade ghost. Brackett made his way, along with five marine escorts back to the bridge. There he waited forty-five minutes of aboslute silence on the issue before a call came threw.

"Sir, one of the marines states that they have found and captured the rogue Ghost," stated a comm officer.

"Excellent, bring it down to interrigation, I want no Ghosts in that room, only marines. I want Ike down there now!" exclaimed Brackett.

Brackett himself was forced to stay on bridge due to the discussions with Phalanix going on, along with the revolt on the planet. Though Ike Addison was a very capiable man, a former diplomat and marine.

It was only a few short hours before Ike reported to Brackett. Though it felt like days.

"So whats wrong with it? Did it attempt to probe someones mind and get a little too deep?" questioned Brackett.

"He says that somehow the Hydralisks in the cage reached out and probed his mind, and they had no limitations in doing so they too psonic powers and probed so deep that when he realized it and attempted to force them out it was far too late. After leaving the room he stated the effects began to ware off but he was exhausted," stated Ike.

"So, what is its current condition," asked Brackett.

"His current condition is stable, he was lucky he didn't slip into insanity," stated Ike.

"Just to be the on the safe side, I want psonic dampers on it and it confined it its quarters until we return to fleet headquarters, understood?" stated Brackett.

"Yes sir," stated Ike. He saluted then left the room, as he walked out Brackett could hear him cuss at him. Brackett wasn't surprised, Ike considered Ghosts as human as anyone else. Brackett didn't consider them as human, he never liked the idea of having someone else probe his mind freely. Though the Ghosts had proved vital tools thoughout the history of the Confederacy. He made a mental note, however, of the psonic abilities of the Zerg.

"Inform the containment room the alien creatures are in. Let on Marines in there, no Ghosts are permitted in that room, understood?" stated Brackett. With that a comm officer nodded in confirmation and sent the order out.

"You would do well to beware the Hydralisks, yoy should not put them anywhere that there s a gap in their containment, bars will not hold them, chains will not bind thwem, manacles will not stop them, they are very dangerous, until you have them truly controlled I advise that you do not trust any action on their part."

The hydralisks were slavering (http://scgame.wz.cz/zergunits/hydralisk2.jpg), so much prey, so close, and they could not reach it, they were enraged and they showed it.

Andreas then shifted, "We will need the Terran Dominion's assistance in te establishment of our own cerebrate to fully control these creatures, and we are curious if you know of a planet upon which these creatures can prosper upon."
