The Federal Republic does not believe that the use of anti-satellite missiles is the pretext for a nuclear strike. Bonstocknian satellite and aircraft based SDIs will do what they can to intercept and destroy any missiles. Either do not fire the missiles, or Bonstock will dissolve diplomatic relations with The Fedral Union.

We call upon all civilized nations in the world to oppose this reckless use of weapons of mass destruction, and call for the Fedral Union to step down from its use of WMD. A diplomatic solution should be found. Bonstock would be willing to mediate between the Fedral Union and Axis Nova, Hataria, and the others if necessary.

The Hive cannot condone such an atrocious waste of life, so many going unsaved to their deaths.
Dontgonearthere has, as of now, fully dissolved ALL relations with The Federal Union, all TFU citizens have 48 hours to leave Dontgonearthere before they are taken into custody, forcably patterened and put into Dontgoneartheres labour pool.
We will wait for Axis Nova's response to this action before we begin taking further actions.
Be warned though, all Dontgonearthere military forces are now on full alert, including the fleet, nuclear, and anti-nuclear forces. If you attack Dontgonearthere the response will be swift and deadly.

In the name of the Soveit region, I demand you step down from defcon 1 and use of these nuclear weapons. futher more We would like to take charge in the investigation into wether the Axis Nova did attack the sattelites.

Also any ICBM or any other device caught on radar by our orbital station will be immediatly destroyed and the nation will have war declared for such an unprovoked act.

Ebolania formally declares its fullhearted support of the investigation into this new Nuclear launch, and hereby joins Bonstock's coalition against the Federal Union. Even if this is a role-playing game, the usage of WMDs in any shape or form is utterly without cause and must be condemned.

War Headquarters, Credonia City Credonia 10:20 pm cst

Secretary of Defense Mitchell Ferguson sits at the desk in his office filling out paperwork and setting the budget for the Defense Department for FY2006. Suddenly the phone begins to ring. He looks over at his black office phone but realizes that none of the lights are lighting up and immediately realizes that the red emergency phone is ringing. He looks over and picks up the reciever.

"Whats the problem?

"Sir, our space-borne and land-based radar systems are detecting mass ICBM launches from both land based and sea based platforms. The missiles have been classified as belonging to The Fedral Union. Target seems to be Axis Nova. Recommend going to DEFCON 2." says a man reporting from the WH War Room.

"DO IT!! I'm on my way down there right now! replies Mitchell.

Mitchells slams the reciever down and makes a mad dash to the war room to monitor the path of the inbound ICBM's.

Meanwhile......

Presidential Palace, Credonia City, Credonia

President Sutton had already recieved word from War Headquarters of the ICBM threat and had already moved into the Palace' Situation Room.

"Ok people, quiet down. We're at DEFCON 2, I want all Credonian nuclear forces on the highest level of alert. Our ally has just been attacked. The Fedral Union will pay for that. Also, I want our SDI and Ballistic Missile Defense Systems knocking down every last missile that heads towards Axis Nova. We will wait for a response from A.N. and then we will act. I also want all available Credonian troops worldwide mobilized NOW! Lets move it people!!" commanded Sutton as people in the situation room worked busily to relay the orders the Commander-in-Chief had just ordered.

Axis Nova was to nuke The Fedral Union, it is not unfair for TFU to attack, I think you should just back down...I don't even have the energy for this, it's the same over and over again, misjudging of a nation's actions. No, I don't have more energy. Back to my business.

There is a clearly distinguishable line between threatening to nuke another nation and actually nuking another nation. Axis Nova is a Credonian ally and has yet to fire any nukes. Since TFU ordered the first strike, Credonia's actions are only in defense of that strike, so STAND ASIDE and mind your own business.

BTW, I dont think anybody wanked except you, TFU. You got dogpiled, but nobody launched massive nuclear/conventional strikes.

ooc: TFU, wtf? you can't just do that. If the US launched a major nuclear strike on, say, Russia, could the US just say "Oh I didn't do that" after they fired the missiles? And if Russia shot some US satellites down and the US nuked them, how do you think the rest of the world would react?

Your use of nukes alone displays your lack of respect for and inability at decent role play. And now you accuse us of wanking? You could have at least roleplayed your way out of this, perhaps a last minute order to not launch the nukes or something. Instead you just take the easy way out, ignoring yourself. I would think that someone with as much RP experiance would be less of a n00b, and would be able to be accountable for their actions.

Anyways, here are the facts of the matter. TFU is (was?) attacking Hataria for no good reason, so I sent a few of my new Phaethon aircraft to force him to back down. These craft are armed with missiles that have small (1.5kt) nuclear warheads, which produce a decent sized bang, but don't create a significant amount of fallout (they arn't citybusters or even carrier battle group busters by any means). I told him to back off or I'd start blasting his ships (which I figured was a reasonable thing to demand, considering he was attacking Hatarian civilians, and me hitting his ships would cause far less casualties than anything he had already done).

TFU, of course, makes noises about a full scale strategic launch, and also makes noises about moving nuclear missile sats over my nation. In response to that, a vertiable plume of ASATs was launched to eliminate said threat.

I also informed TFU that he is quite welcome to flush his strategic arsenal at me if he wishes, as I'm all set up to deal with such a thing-- Axis Nova probably has the most comprehensive SDI program in II.
