OPEN RP- Nuclear Warheads Facility Siezed

"Breaking news!" the Attendant Minister of Anti-Terrorism exclaimed as he ran into his bosses' office. "Right-f**king-now! Turn on the news!"

"What?" Colonel Tarshaben Marsh asked, perturbed. "Something happen?" He rose from his desk, suddenly pale.

"Just turn on the news!"

The Colonel grabbed his remote and flipped on the intelligence circuit channel on the large plasma TV mounted in the corner of his office. It immediately showed a picture of a large island, completely covered by what appeared to be a massive factory.

"Holy shit," the Colonel said. "There's- there's something happening at the Munich-Deutsch facility?"

"Listen."

The picture cut to the Slovakastanian Intelligence Wing emergency briefing anchor. "It appears that a rogue wing of Lestana Force, the Slovokastanian elite special forces unit, has seized the operational wing of the Munich-Deutsch Warheads Disposal Facility. Quite disturbingly, the facility is equipped with launch silos, initally installed for the purpose of testing unarmed rockets in order to determine decommissioning requirements. The terrorists are demanding that Allegheny, a small country invaded by Slovakastanian forces years before, be liberated."

"It is not clear how well the terrorists are secured in their position, but a wing of marine forces that was conducting exercises in the facility was wiped out by their Lestana Force trainers. The marines outnumbered the Lestana troopers 8 to 1, indictating they are very well equipped and trained."

"An international team is being assembled for assistance..."

OOC: This is an open RP. If you would like to participate, submit a character to be one in the squad.

Ranks are debatable, but must not exceed Lieutenant First Class. Specialties must remain realistic.

Description: Roy is the assigned Slovakastanian commander to this mission. Lt. Harrison will assume operational control of the international squadron and direct combat objectives on-site. "Damn it!" Colonel Marsh exclaimed. "Who the hell ordered those silos built?"

"Er..." the Attendant Minister said, "The Committee on Nuclear Protocol."

"I want all of them reprimanded. In the meantime, connect me to whatever's left of Lestana Force in this sector."

"Sir, almost half of the entire unit was involved. Much of them came from the Allegheny region. Furthermore, all of our best men were involved in the rebellion. We still have enough men to launch an assault, but it would be risky at best and probably fail. Conventional forces would just deter the terrorists long enough for them to launch a warhead."

"So, what choice do we have?"

"The international team is being assembled. We'll need to select a soldier to lead them. I recommend Lieutenant Roy Harrison. If you'll remember, he was the commanding officer at the Shadow Moses incident?"

"Yes, good choice. I'm still a bit concerned..."

OOC: I'm going to RP a terrorist, too. But we could always use him.

The remaining Marines were terrified. Within minutes, they had come under attack from all sides, and soon, many of them lie dead. The operative commander, Colonel Lestat, had been shot on sight, bullets ripping through his body as the Lestana trainers fired their rifles.

The gigantic facility didn't lend itself to the Marines, who were used to amphibious assaults on enemy positions. They were untrained in infrastructure-based evasion. Either way, the Lestana trainers had turned, all of them. Armed heavily and wearing body armor, they had cut swathes of death into the Marines while they were still surprised. The civilian staff had fled in terror as they were fired into point-blank, and whatever military policed there were was dead.

Two marines had managed to sneak into a security office, evading a Lestana trooper smoking a cigarette and facing away from the door. A glass window curved around two walls, revealing the interior to anyone smart enough to look inside. Corporal Allen and Private Smith both carried assault rifles and had managed to fight away from the area where the massacre was taking place. There was no way they could have stayed alive in that place...

A Lestana trooper walked past, cocking his machine gun. He appeared to be talking to others beyond their vision. As he turned, he looked inside the security checkpoint's window, and glanced over the two marines.

In an instant, Smith leaped up with assault rifle in hand and sprayed through the glass, killing the trooper instantly. More rushed from the left, but they went down as they were filled with lead.

"Move!" he yelled as he fled the office. Allen followed suit.

In light of Your Worst Fears statement, Modnoth offers oil at reduced prices to all allies of Slovakastania involved in this incident and has mobilsed a small battle group to prevent forign aid to these terrorists. With Slovakastanian Permission we would also like to move an Airborne Missile Defense Laser Aircraft to a nearby air field to prevent the launch of nuclear armed missiles as a result of this incident.

The Slovokastanian government accepts this proposition with thanks, but informs the Mondoth gov't that the rockets at the facility are of the Maoric Type Zv.ii, which is nearly impossible to shoot down. Thereby, all team members have their attendance requested immediately at the nearby airfield for briefing and equipment fitting.

Lance Corporal Harding is on his way now. Extra suites will be available for soldiers not capable or not equipped with equivalent equipment. Stats on the LEGION system can be found at our storefront (Link in signature)
OOC: Not sure what everyone else is equipped with other than weapons. the LEGION suite is an evolution of land warrior, to increas mobility and endurance, the counter terrorism version has been simplified and should be easily mastered by any special forces trooper (previous land warrior or similiar experiance not required) in only a few minutes of familiarization. the system includes variable color camoflauge to match background color of almost any building, weapon sight camera integrated with the helmet display to allow soldiers to 'peak' or fire around corners or over obstacles. The weapon sight camera includes low light intensification and thermal imaging.

he knew that they were ground and he was air, he was the best pilot he could be,but knew he had to prove himself with this batch of new faces.

he wasnt just some taxi boy,and he was goin to porve it.

And so he waited. As it got darker he herd voices getting closer to the brifeing point, the team was approching.

IC:

Hunter arrived in the hall wearing the ceremonial red cloak and black uniform of a Royal Guard officer. Following him was a young, beautiful woman (OOC: Here's who your character can 'screw'. How charming you are) wearing the rank pin of an Officer Cadet. She also wore the ceremonial cape, but was dressed in battle uniorm, except for a black cap with a red band around it. The rest of the team gradually filtered in as the hour progressed. The cluttered conference room was dark and messy, formerly the domain of messy bush pilots. A man in full dress uniform stood at the head of the table.

"All right," he said. "Welcome, team. I'm Sergeant Troy Crown, and I'll be your support for this mission. Let's get straight to the briefing."

He clicked on an overhead projector, and all the men turned attentitively as a headshot of an ugly Irishman appeared.

"This is Frank Dublin, specialist in infrastructure, or building, warfare," Crown said. "He has assumed operational command of the Lestana Force and has occupied the Munich-Deutsch Nuclear Disposal Facility. He's also an expert in counter-special-ops command and nuclear weaponry. Unfortunately, the Munich-Deutsch facility has test silos and the capabilities to launch nukes. The demands concern the liberation of Allegheny, a territory acquired many years ago. We refuse to negotiate with traitors."

"The Lestana Force was acting as trainers for a marine unit conducting exercises in the region. They entered the facility on a routine training mission with the permission of the military police guarding the facility. This is where the Lestana force turned traitor, killing the marines who outnumbered them eight to one. Marines are most likely still alive, as well as civilian workers and military police."

"Mission objective one is the termination of Frank Dublin and the de-activation of all test silos. Mission objective two is the liberation of hostages. Be aware that the base is literally huge, as large as half of the Easten Front Islands (OOC: Say Rhode Island). The mission will take hours just to even approach the interior of the base and infilitrate exterior security."

Enemy bunkers are located in-between, but we can't dump you beyond them due to radar scanners mounted on the seafloor. I'd just teleport Jack Campbell to being a terrorist Major or Lieutenant, and go from there. It's up to you.

IC: The sub launched from the dock at the precise moment determined by the schedule. The team, in thick wetsuits and breathing filters, were prepared for insertion by implanting Sonecs in their ears and the routine triple-check of equipment. For two hours, the men sat cleaning their guns and chatting idly.

Then, it was time. One by one, the soldiers were mounted into the torpedo tubes with aquatic transport vehicles and launched out of the tubes at high velocities. They propelled them each within a hundred feet of the shore.

Roy Harrison was the first one to shore. He lay low, observing the guards fifty feet up the beach.

Jeff imediately unslung his SG-12 sniper rifle. The weapon was fully sealed and water proof but he checked to make sure that it had survived the ride. once his preliminary weapon check was done he twiddled the knob that controlled his camoflauge pattern to better match the light conditions and dominant color scheme. once that was done he set up his bipod and scanned the front of the building for signs of life. Using the integrated thermal viewer it was capable to see 'through' thinner portions of wall and covered windows to spot insurgents that thought themselves safe from observation.

as Third, Claude Breziér came ashore. he lay down next to the other two, and checked his weapon. A thing he could not be happy with. a hole had been in the waterproof bag that he carried his gear in, and his weapon, equipped with cameras and things, had felt water. he emptied the bag, and cleaned the rifle. after this, the system was back up. he aimed his camera and engaged the helmet mounted display. his weapon, which had been equipped with a silencer, was ready to fire.

Harrison immediately slapped Claude's hand off his gun.

"I don't care if it is silenced," he muttered lowly, "if you shoot a single bullet here, we will all end up dead on this goddamned beach. Now follow me."

"Breziér here, what to do now? I've got an Idea, but it can be dangerous."
he hooked up a "Sticky shocker".

OOC: Since I'm a terrorist...

IC: A sentry paced back and forth outside of a checkpoint.

"Foward checkpoint to base. All clear."

He was required to check in every twenty seconds.

"Foward Checkpoint to base. Do I have to check in every twenty seconds? Can't it be at least a minute?" the sentry whined.

Major Jack Campbell, one of the men responsible for the security systems, snapped back.

"Yes, you do! Now shut up and do your job! Or do I have to go there myself?" Jack Campbell's wrath was the stuff of legends. No one dared to question his authority.

"No sir!"

"Good."

Although in all actuality Jack Campbell wouldn't have been able to be there anyway. He was too busy activating trip mines to come over. He had to make sure the sentries did their job and make sure the bases defenses were inpenetrable because although Jack Campbell's wrath was the stuff of legends, the Brigade Colonel's wrath was legendary and he didn't want to get on the bad side of the Colonel.

Harrison crept slowly behind the guards, avoiding their gaze. A quick scramble and he was halfway down the beach, already past the bunkers. The bunkers each had a machinegunner and spotlight. Getting past them was tricky, but Harrison was a specialist. Another hundred feet and he was at the side door of the office complex. He prayed the other team members would be able to follow him...

Jeff had to wait for the guards to look away again before he could move, he passed the time scanning radio frequencies and quickly found the Insurgents channel, cycling the feed through a base station to analyze and decrypt he passed the information on to the other members of the team.
"Snetries check in every twenty seconds, thats alot of sentries so I imagine whoever listens to the checkins isn't really familiar with all their voces, we could probably impersonate some of them undetected." finsihing the whispered message he saw that the sentry was moving away again and quickly scrambled up to the entrance.

Gilchrist ws heavy. Really heavy. He was carrying his huge M-60, tons of ammo and a small, disposable rocket launcher. He tried to keep up with the others, but it was difficult. He kept his MG stuck to his side though, and instead held his P-1 pistol in his hands.

He was next to go to the entrance. The sentry was still walking away, but it was gonna be close. He sprinted across lugging all his gear and dived for the entrance. His pistol clicked his MG, and he prayed he wasn't seen nor heard.

Breziér followed Harrison. he was lucky, and could barely evade a searchlight. when they reached the offices, he checked the door and inserted a little camera under the door so he could see under it.

"A Flashbang makes too much noise, with smoke we can't see anything, or we will hit possible hostages, frag is out of the question. I can shoot round the door, with the camera mounted on the barrel of my rifle I can aim"

(OOC: I will be on vacation for 3 weeks from now, i will try to log on as much as possible.)

"Shit," Harrison commented. "There's a security desk in there. We'll have to enter fast."

The 6 security personnel stood inside the room. 2 monitored the various security systems, the rest kept watch.

OOC: The 2 monitoring, have pistols besides them; but they'll get slaughtered, the remainder are carrying 2 ARs and 2 SMGs.

A security camera lazily moved from left to right in the security office. In the corner of its field of vision, a tiny object appeared under the door. It was a tiny camera used by the intruders, and looked around a bit before retreating behind the door. The camera wasn't seen by the viewer of the security camera and he continued to look at the gamut of other screens, completely unaware of the intruders.

Jack Campbell finished stringing tripwires in Warhead Decommission Control and the M.P. Control Office. He evacuated most of the sentries, and moved them to reinforce other areas, since the trip wires and security cameras were enough.

Some tripwires were just trip wires, designed to trip. A few activated alarms, a few activated semtex explosives, more activated C4, and some activated claymore mines. Depending which wire did what, you could either be annoyed or blown to chunks.

Since their were security cameras it would be a lot harder as well. If you got blown to chunks or tripped on a wire, it would be captured marvelously on camera for all the terrorists to laugh at.

"Major, we have a problem," a soldier said behind him. Fortunately for soldiers inside, they did not need to have to report every twenty seconds, and could therefore be dispatched more easily.

"What is it?"

"We have run into a situation. We cannot launch a nuclear missile. We have come upon - a setback."

"What kind of setback?"

"A hidden encryption file sprung up. We cannot launch until we get past the encryption."

"You guys can't do it yourself?" the Major barked angrily.

"Sir, it would take too long. By time we'd figure it out, Slovakastanian troops would be crawling around here."

"I'm sure they already are. I just don't know where yet."

"Sir?"

The Major switched back to the current topic. "Do you have a suggestion to how I could obtain access to decrypt the file?"

"No, but one of the hostages might know."

"Okay. Lead me to them." The soldier started to head towards the Army Officers offices, with Campbell close behind.

Gilchrist was pulling rear gard again, and was getting impatient. Why not just busrt in and kill the plebs, instead of sitting out here waiting to get stood on by some patrol.

He had hios M-60 on it's bipod, and his AT Rocket layed next to him, along with a bunch of ammo spread on a hump beside him. He could hoof it at a moments notice, but for now he was traning the MG on the nearest machine gunner....

The door was kicked down in an instant. Silenced bullets sprayed the inside of the room with deadly precision. In less than three seconds, the two watching guards had fallen to the ground in bloody heaps. The security equipment was trashed, and the four other men lay on the floor in various states of injury. Two were screaming, and Harrison instantly silenced them.

"Right, move in!" he said. "I want someone to take that guy's radio and report in that everything's fine. The bodies need to be trashed, and the two wounded need to be dealt with. Move, move, move!"

Over the radio Jeff called quietly, "wait, check in's not due for antoher few seconds." counting off in his head he keyed into the proper frequency and encryption, at the mark he said into the radio trying to conceal his voice as close to the one he thouh had been the one fromt his area.
"Forward checkpint to base, all clear, can't we at least check in every thirty seconds?"

Harrison crept slowly across the room to the next door. Looking through, he saw a pair of guards chatting nervously. Both gripped their rifles rather hard and were facing the door.

"Right, storm in, knock out the guards, and maintain radio contact. Guys look like they got itchy trigger fingers. On ten."

Gilchrist was still outside, freezing his ass off and waiting for the guys inside to hurry up, so he could move into the warmth. The guys on the IP were oblivious to the team, and the Machine Gunner had just lit up a cigarette. Bad fieldcraft, that.

It was damn cold, he could tell you that. And some water had penetrated the wetsuit, enough to freeze Gilchrists genitals. It wasn't funny, really. Thats when he spotted an AFV, making a sweep down the beach.

OOC: Is this ok? I dont wan't to be a drama queen, but it would make it interesting for us to have to move indoors pretty quick.
