I'd like to start up another earth for rping. I don't have the details worked out yet, but it will be modern/post modern tech, and each sign up will be allowed 2 million sq mi. max to claim as territory (if I figured that correctly, that gives room for 29 nations assuming everyone claimed the maximum). The usual NS rules for posting and RPing would apply. If anyone is interested, sign up here. My nation (Maineiacs) claims Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec. I'll update claims as they come in.

Funny, I just restarted one earlier today.

I would very much like to join this newly forming Earth. I am not a noob. I am a puppet nation. I do not post here myself, because I do not wish to cause confusion, as my nation is becoming increasingly active. Anyway, this nation is far more realistic as far as Earth based goes. I regret that I so not have time to claim territory now, but I shall later. If you would be so kind as to reserve Texas and the rest of the Gulf Coast for me, I shall post the finer details later. Thanks in advance.

CIA world factbook says that Antarctica is 14 million square miles. I'm confused, isn't it 2 million square miles, not 20?

one third of 14 million is more than 2 million. you would have to have 1 seventh to have an even amount, though, that would mean you couldn't have new zealand. you would have to have around 1/12 of antarctica to have new zealand as well.

sry, that's 2,096,924. just over 2 million. may i suggest taking away afghanistan, so u can stay under 2 million.

I got less than that, how did you get your numbers? I used the CIA world factbook here (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/) and converted it from square kilometers here (http://www.onlineconversion.com/area.htm)

My numbers came straight from the World Almanac. one-third of Antarctica is 1,801,809.33 sq. mi. Add New Zealand for a total of 1,905,547.33 sq. mi.

I would like to add the UK, Ireland, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia to my claims. It seems like alot but when added I still only have 1,829,615 (rounded) sq miles.

Just update the maps and post them up onto imageshack, the names of the files need to be the same as the originals on the site so you'll have to overwrite them.
