Whereas before, most of El Caudillans rigidly authoritarian, puritanical anti-free speech laws targeted subversion, antigovernment speech, and all forms of dissent, now certain languages themselves were under attack, mostly the Russian language. Speaking before Parliament, Representative Hans Kruger said, "While Russian people as a whole are neither superior nor inferior to any other people, we cannot permit the promotion of their culture or the speaking of their language, lest our people's minds become tainted and communized. Since the tragedy of 1917, Marxist-Leninist gangsterism has dominated Russia, and the followers of Satan's apostle Lenin have enslaved and murdered millions of people, many of them merely for adhering to the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Citizens will be forbidden from quoting any statements made by that individual, and media outlets who broadcast anything regarding the banned individual will be subject to revocation of their license.

2.Those with Russian names are required to have them legally changed to non-Russian ones.

3.All commercial and diplomatic relations with Russian-speaking nations, or nations with Russian-influenced culture, will be severed immediately.

4.Anyone wishing to immigrate to this country may have no more than 1.4% Russian blood. Otherwise, they will be barred from entering the country.

5.All those of Russian descent are to be barcoded, their phone lines tapped, and their mail inspected daily by PIDE agents. Their driver's licenses will be withdrawn, and PIDE agents will accompany them whenever they are driven anywhere."

Amongst the Igovian Soviet Commonwealth's massive Russian minority are several offended old veterans of Kronstadt, influential in Beth Gellert for their inspirational part in shaping the Finnish revolution and the Red Army mutinies that followed. Many of their relatives and admirers point out that it would have been impossible for them and their recent ancestors to survive and to build an independent democracy had the escaped Kronstadt sailors and their comrades not been able to meet and speak with the Red Army's advance elements as they stormed across the icey Gulf and to convince them to turn on their officers.

The significance of this as would make me involve my nation in the thread is that Beth Gellert is based on Russia's border and fought the Bolsheviks several times, arguably starting in 1921 when Sovietists were forced to flee from the Red Army, and settled in Finland (the heart of BG).
