The Forging of the Treaty (Attn Kyanges and Gaian)

OOC: Please forgive the stupid name. Couldn’t think of any good one :( . This is a diplomatic thread concerning Kyanges, the Gaian Ascendancy, and me.
IC: Space shifted and suddenly three Firebat class battlecruisers appeared at the edge of Earth's minefield. The monitoring station on Luna hailed them, and after giving the correct clearance codes, were issued a path through the deadly mines. Their engines flared, and they started their short journey to one of the stardocks orbiting Earth.
Inside the armored belly of the center ship resided the disheveled form of Alexi Redwood, Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Incorporated Firms of Einhauser. He had had trouble sleeping on the way back from the negotiations with Xessmithia, and was looking forward to taking a nice long nap in his luxury apartment.
Suddenly the view screen on one wall of his chamber beeped. Sitting up and rubbing his eyes, Alexi yawned the security code, and the bloated face of Jason Green filled the wall. "Ah, Alexi," said Jason, "it is good to see you back from your last assignment. Great timing too," one of Jason’s many mechanical arms started twitchy violently until another metal arm grabbed it. With barely any notice of the technicians crawling on his back, Jason continued. "While you were away I was contacted by the Gaian Ascendancy and Kyanges. It seems both wish a treaty, so guess what."
"What..." asked Alexi, still half asleep.
"You’re going to meet them for a meeting!" Laughed Jason heartily. That got Alexi's attention, and he snapped out of his sleep-induced haze.
"But Mr. Green! I just got back!"
"That may be true, but you’re still going to do this. Right?" Jason said menacingly. Alexi nodded and fell back onto his bed.

The shuttle rocked and swayed as it entered the tumultuous atmosphere of the ruined Earth. It screamed straight down to the gleaming surface, where a starport loomed. The gyro-stabilized inner compartment remained upright despite the 90 degree maneuver the shuttle was pulling, so Alexi didn’t notice they had left the ship's launch bay until the two starfighters peeled away, to be replaced with home guard fighters.
The shuttle flared its retro-rockets, and touched down with a bang. Alexi did feel that. "A perfect landing," said the cocky pilot over the intercom. Alexi grumbled and staggered out of the shuttle. A waiting entourage of armored vehicles drove the minister over to the loading section of the starports secure maglev train, which whisked him away to the diplomatic chambers buried deep within the planet.
OOC2: Shoot, I forgot to warn you! Have your diplomats wear gasmasks and fully sealing bodygloves. The atmopshere is toxic. Alexi can breath it because, like all Einhauserian poloticians, he is more machine than man now.

The Ascendancy, ovbiously well entrenched in it's affairs, manage to send only three starships of their own to the edge of the system. However, these are the personal Hikari Treeships of Ladies Sasami, Misao and Isarra, the last the first daughter of the Lord excellency himself. With Seto and peorth busy with other affairs, the trio was sent as the ambassadors, with full powers to conduct the treaty.
They also were well prepared for the 'problems' inherit of the location of the diplomatic exchange. Sasami says over holo-comm. "This is the Ascendancy diplomatic party here to conduct inital negotiations for alliance, as well as trade of the jump drives you seek.
Please give instructions for our approach please."
Isarra meanwhile looked around at the foreign star system with her father's appraising eye.

"Hold position. An inspection crew has been dispatched to search your vessel. Stand down and let them board. If we deign you as safe, you will be issued a set of coordinates that will guide you through the minefield. Do not stray from the path or you will be destroyed. Do not charge any weapons or jump drives, or you will be destroyed. Once clear of the minefield, do not send any outgoing transmissions to anywhere but Earth and Luna receiving stations. Do you understand the instructions as I have read them to you?"
The man sitting in front of one of the large monitoring stations sat back and looked pleased. He loved giving that speech. It almost made the hour-long commute through security to his Luna office worthwhile.

The dropship arced out of the moon's gravitational field and entered the mines. They glared at the shuttle with their angry red, robotic eyes as it passed, hoping it would veer off of its course so they could fulfill their programming. Alas, it was not to be. The ship broke through and headed for the odd-looking ship floating nearby.
OOC: I have a question: do you use tech from Tenchi Muyo? The name sasami and treeships ring a bell.
A flash, and and a deafening bang. At least, that's what Era imagined as she dozed off in her seat on board the ESV Tero. Indeed, that's exactly what someone would have heard from the wormhole opening up before them. But this was space, and only a bright flash met them right before their ship stretched out, and was sucked into the Wormhole.
Over the ship's intercom, the pilot announced, "Hello, flight 3-1-9er, this is your captain speaking..."
Through the ports on the side of the vessel, space seemed to shift, and flow lazily. Smokey blueish lines trailed from the edges of the ship, as it made it's way toward Einarian space. The cabin was dim, and the lights and flashes of energy from the wromhole illuminated the passenger's faces a slight hue of blue, and white. The light itself was cold, and only took on any life when it reflected off the faces of the crew. A few coughs could be heard, and the whole mood on the ship was very dull.
Era,stirred, and slowly awoke. She was the thrid highest ranking diplomat in the E.S. Diplomatic Core, and this would have marked her 200th first contact with another race. Era's eyes squinted as she raised her arms together and yawned.
{I'm really getting too old for this...} She thought to her self. Biologically, Era was only about as aged as a 20 year old. But thanks to the long lifspans of Eshirians, she was actually nearing 200.
"Hello again, Flight 3-1-9er, we're approaching Einsinite space, on a course vector of 2-1-0, mark threehundred."
Era looked outside her window, and could see what looked to be a security check point.
Era snapped up, and closely observed the activity around the checkpoint. Often, if things went smoothly on the approach, then things would go well for the negotiation. Typically, things wnet a lot smoother.
{This better be easy...} Thought Era.

With a slight yawn one of the security men on Luna tasked to watching the various checkpoints tugged the microphone down from the wall.
With another yawn he slid the mic back into its socket on the wall and went back to blearily watching the monitors. Light flashed in through the windows as shuttle engines roared to life and one of the countless dropships littering the spaceport tarmac shot up into the sky to rendezvous with the new arrival.
In the cockpit, the pilot reviewed the transmission.
"Uh, roger that control, Security checks to commence. I'd like to inform you that this is a government personnel transport, nothing more. We don't even have a cargo hold. We've also got a few families on board, so whatever you do, try not to scare them. Do you read?"

The trio meanwhile deliberated to themselves over Hikari Mind Link. ":: They think they can destroy us? I thought it was we that was supposed to help them?
Is this suddenly even worth the bother now? ::"
Misao's mental comments are returned by Isarra's.. ":: If we change their ways even a little, then we will have made this endeavor worthwhile.
The Dark Eternals or even United Mankind these are 'not'. We will humor them. If anything, they can see the benefits of even knowing us.
..we will let them board. Ensure all secure items are melded into subspace pockets. We'll conduct things after the inital meeting on 'our' terms. ::"
At this, a simple comm is sent out that the Ascendancy vessels agree. Of course trying anything against them would be very unwise.

With a burst of engines, the shuttle spun itself over the docking port to the strange treeship. With a second burst, it threw itself down and clamped its claws into the surrounding materiel. With a hiss the air pressure between the two doors was equalized, and a platoon of armored Marines surged down into the vessel. With a quick nod to the surprised people near the hatch, they set off to search as much of the ship as possible. Their speed was a necessity: in centuries past, enemies could seal secrets into hidden compartments, given enough warning.
They jogged heavily down the corridors, Pulse Rifle's leveled and ready to fire. They swept each room, deigned the ship clean, and retreated back to the bridge. A Marine with a black band painted on his right arm approached the "officers".
"Greetings foreign dignitaries. We have performed a sweep of your ship and found it to be suitable for entry into secure space. Please follow these," he handed the emissaries a dataslate covered in numbers, "coordinates through the minefield. We will disengage our shuttle once we are clear of the field."

Alexi stumbled in through the doorway into his home. It wasn’t much: a single bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom, but it was larger than three civilian houses out together. He scanned the room with bleary eyes and headed for the bathroom. Yawning, Alexi opened the medicine cabinet and pulled out a PDA and two cables, which he set on the chipped porcelain sink. He took off his shirt and pressed the center of his chest in a certain way, and it split open to reveal the machine parts that kept him running. Staring into the mirror, Alexi pushed his hand in until he found the two dataports he was looking for.
Redwood plugged the twin cables he had removed from the medicine cabinet into the PDA, and the other end into the two sockets he had pulled from his chest. Instantly the PDA's screen lit up with various bars and numbers. With a tap of the attached stylus, Alexi increased the adrenaline flowing through his system. Instantly the fatigue was washed away, replaced by the energizing hormone surging through his veins.
With grim satisfaction Alexi put all of the equipment away, closed his chest, shaved, got dressed and headed out the door for the diplomatic suit down a few miles away.
OOC: Please forgive the... intrusive security measures. I’m gearing up for a civil war.

The troopers that boarded all gthree ships were met by only long hallways of living wood, and paneling of white diamond, sculpted into melds within the vessel. Finding secrets was very hard to actually find, as all sensitive areas were shut off, making sealed areas look like just another hallway.
Each vessel's owner met the officers with only a nod. Isarra takes her copy from the officer, and it is held in a holo-beam of light when she 'places' it in midair.
Isarra then comments. "I do hope there is no other trouble we should expect, now would there? It would not do well to have an incident as a result." ..after, she mentally tells her Tree and the two accompanying to follow in column order towards the final coordiantes.
She then asks.. "Are we permitted to move through at this time officer?"

"Yes ma'am, you are. But be warned. Do not try to create any 'incidents', because those," he flung a gauntleted thumb in the general direction of the orbiting super-lasers, "can gut an ISD in a single shot, shields and all."

The maglev shuddered to a shaky stop. With a slight hiss, the doors squealed open and disgorged their hasty passengers. Some shuffled off to the sooty factories, some to their single room homes, and a small group to the diplomatic hall down the passageway a bit. They wore dark cloaks to hide their identity, but it was hard to disguise the nearly seven foot tall Marines for anything other than what they were, cloak or not. It was also rather hard to mistake the figure in the center of the Marines. After all, it was not everyday that one saw anyone other than a politician being escorted like this.
The clump of hooded figures turned a corner and stepped over a pile of drunken factory workers, who received kicks in the sides of the head for their lack of movement. As the group finally neared the diplomatic hall, they had to stoop because a pipeline had bent at an odd angle and block part of the hall. Once inside, however, the scene changed dramatically.
The walls were deep blue fabric, with lively assortments of pillows sprawled out across the gym-sized room. A sturdy synthetic oak table adorned the center, and several chairs lined the area around it. A view screen was set into one wall, and a refreshment bar sat at the foot of each hydro-gel lined chair.
Alexi threw off his cloak and settled into a seat while the Marines fanned out and stepped into the cloaked nooks that lined the walls. There they stood, motionless, behind the chameleonic curtain, while Alexi awaited the arrival of the other diplomats.
In the cockpit, the pilot reviewed the transmission.

The shuttle boosted its rockets and flared the side thrusters, and made a perfect landing on the hull of the small vessel. Just like on the Gaian ship, as soon as the hatches were open Marines were pouring into the ship. Once again, they found nothing of danger, and so issued the coordinates to the captain of the vessel.
OOC: Excuse the brevity of the post, please.

The pilot turned reviewed some of the holo-displays. He turned out and watched the ship break away and slowly move off. "Glad that's over." He muttered.
He sent a message over the PsiCommu, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for your patience. We have just cleared the security checks and are now on our way to our third destination. I advise that all government passengers ready their luggage. We'll arrive shortly."
He disengaged the PSiCommu, refocused his mind on the ship, throttled up the engines, and the shuttle sped off.

The Marines constituting the honor guard for the Kyanges delegation snapped to attention as their charges stepped out of their ship and into one of the large, circular stardocks that orbited Earth. Without a word they moved to relive the diplomats of thier luggage, however light it may be, and handed them a dataslate. It had a flashing message displayed, telling the user to enter the security code.
"Enter the code given to you by the Marines who searched your ship. If you have not read the dataslate they gave you, read it now, as it holds the required codes to open the various doors and diplomatic cars on the military maglevs. Without them, you, and therefor us," he motioned to his asscotiates, "will be riding with the civilians. Once you have entered the correct code into the dataslate, it will provide you with information reguarding the people, customs, architechture, worlds, technology, important persons, landmarks, places of interest, a map of the maglev system, and various other, useful programs. Some are confidential, so do not let the dataslate leave your person. When you are through reading, please inform me and we will board the maglev."
OOC: Um, I have no miraculous dataslate like that in real life to give you, so if you have any questions about anything, ask me OOCly. Also, Im at game design class right now, and this computer doesnt have spell check, sp pardon my grammer and whatnot.

"Hmmm... alright..." she spoke to herself. Era motioned at her entourage, and they walked over. Era spoke a few words into one of their ears, and the aid nodded.

Hey if it's an MMO, then you just know that half your life has already been sucked away. I'd say that it's actually better that you didn't try and throw the other half into NS at the same time...
Gaian Ascendancy
10-12-2005, 06:52
That be true.
I won't ask to fully comprehend it all yet, but if you guys want to take a shot at basically understanding what happened in the thread, here's the thread itself in all it's carnige.
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=455418
In essence, the Ascendancy and it's allies, along with several NS nations, helped stem at first, the invasion by the forces of Hell itself. Uber huge battlefields in three seperate areas. And uber and near blatant god-mod was the point of the thread since it's the Heaven vs. Hell war in the first place.
But the invasion, led by the Dark Ascendancy Excellency, Lord Mulhorand, outmaneuvered 'both' sides, and used the entropic energy of the battles to force thousands upon thousands of portals that dragged Infernal forces from not only the battlefield, but within Hell itself. They all were then force deposited, and spread across what is termed as the D-3 Dimension, which comprises of this universe, and several others, with millions of galaxies comprised.
In essence, Mulhorand forced the Infernals, emptying their own diemnsion, and uont the D-3 Dimension. Worse, he nearly killed Tsunami, (Aleaic's First Wife) sent assassins to try and kill all three of Aleaic's daughters (Sirrana, the second daughter of Aleaic and Second Wife Arashi is in a coma after her Treeship was attacked and Sirrana's Tree nearly killed..) and flat out humiliated Aleaic in the course of the battle. But there are several disturbing things at the end of the thread you should read for yourselves.
On top of all this, the entire battle was only one hour in duration, the Ascendancy was nearly gutted military wise due to the battle, (out of comission offensively for three months at least..) and the war now is raging all across the D-3 Dimension. The point of the 'Reflections' thread is to explain all this, as well as the fact that massive numbers of Heavenly and Infernals are battering at each other no less devestating as the Eternal War that usually occurs in the celestial dimensions.
In other words, the largest possible war that could be imagined (at least my attempt..) in I.I. ever. Worse, there are other extra-dimensional factions that may enter the conflict before this is all over, and the personal war between Excellency and Dark Excellency should get it's own nod share as well.
And don't expect this to end anytime soon. A few RL months at least, with ungodly battles along the way.
My gift to NS for the end of one year in said.. er... place. =^^= And yes, my uber ships included. Both sides, everything rediculous you can imagine is form fitted into the war. uber-WMD weapons included. And if it sounds insane, thanks, I did my job well. =^^=
It's however not a war that will destroy anyone here, rather make them very insecure as the war progresses, to if 'anything' will survive. The one time that will make everyone that participates serious consider such a thing. (If rped all out correctly, which is where guys like you two come in.)
Take time and see how much you guys want to be included with all this, but at the moment, the battle itself is over with.
Wow, not bad. Not bad at all. I'll think over how my nation will fit in, and depending on my schedule, try to join in.
One thing caught my attention though, you say that the battle is over with. ". . . For the moment. . ." Sooo, does that mean that there may be a sequel? I'd like to get in on that if that's possible.
Gaian Ascendancy
10-12-2005, 07:29
Oh thank gods. I swore I was going to be slapped as a wanker. =xX=;;
Anywho, sequel is an understatement. There's going to be 'several' more super battles, with Heaven, Hell, The Powers, and some other extra-dimensional forces that get drawn in by the sheer magnitude of it all.
Don't worry, you and everyone else that wants in, will get a punch in the face by it all. Loyalties will be severely tested, allies might fight each other, and no one is safe really from anything.
I can see at least ten to twenty major thread battles, with many other interm planning/recovery threads to give pause between uber battles. More, there will be side events that detail in one post installments, battles that take place elsewhere in the Dimension, as well as side story twists by those in power on all sides. (Hopefully no one minds me Rping the Almighty 'and' Asmodeus themselves during this.)
So, yes.. it's safe you'll be able to get in easily. Sooner or later, the war will come to the Milky Way Galaxy, no matter what the Angelic forces do to stop it.
At present though, the Ascendancy military is flat out trashed (though defensive wise, their systems are intact and lethal...) and the Enemy is trying to figure out the magnitude of what was forced onto them. There's no active momentum taking place on any side.
Perfect time for a christmass party before everyone is brutalized next RL year. *evil Palpatine chuckle* ...all according to plan. =\/=
