Ark A1 prototype now under construction

After months of customizing and concept-designing, the Ark A1 sub-FTL large space module is now in the financing and construction phase. The prototype will take at least 5-10 years to complete, and will be immediately tested in open space. Due to the size of the project, and the changing state of technology, it is unlikely that any more A1s will be constructed within Random Kingdom. In fact, concepts for a trimmed-down version for shorter distances, the A2, are being passed around.
In other news, the Hunter H1000 extra propulsion device is also nearing the financing/construction phase. It has been outsourced to Amor Industries, an exotic car designer, and will most likely be completed before the rest of the A1. The EPD will be required to launch the top section of the A1 into inner space, where the separate Ark modules will be assembled.

2065 - 10 years after the construction of the A1 started, the space project's first fruit's flight is imminent. In a few months' time, the prototype will be fired into the frontier, with a crew of animate humans and geckoids, materials and plants, and into "Object 2947 B" - a large asteroid currently orbiting the Earth, which has already been lightly probed and found to contain minerals and other mineable resources.
