This is the patrition of notquitedesertislandia.
In case you're wondering, the tone of voice suggested by my country's flag, motto etc. is absent because although half the population consider themselves pirates, and indeed this nation was founded by pirates, the place is not only populated by them.
The country is, in fact, split into three distinct areas:
The West side of the island is the one inhabited by pirates. This area is largely jungle, with large man made clearings where towns are built, although only on the coast.
the east side is hilly, with little jungle. It is a mountainous region with many wild moors. Sheep farming is common there, although minor industry takes place. That side of the country is largely lawful and organised, with a decent police force.
In the extreme north of the country is the capital, which rules both of these regions. It is largely lawful although small scale theiving and random violence do happen quite a lot. This is where the leader of the country lives in his palace.
