The media room inside the Great Hall was alive with chatter from nearly a hundred reporters, who all turned out to see Minister of Foreign Affairs Hartman give his speech on the latest news. Indeed Lord Dreadfire had beenup to something when he announced that AMF territorial waters were being extended by 20 nautical miles, and the press couldn't wait to get their grubby hands on the new info.

As Hartman walked towards the podium the room filled with bright flashes from dozens of cameras. The chatter that echoed off the cold stone walls were quickly silenced when he raised his right hand in the air, signaling the reporters to shut up and listen up.

My fellow Freeks, people of the world.

I have a brief message for you all today from the mouth of Lord Dreadfire himself.

"Today Automagfreek will begin bidding on any and all landmasses across the globe. If there are any unused portions of land that a foreign country would be willing to sell, AMF will make a generous bid for said territory.

By purchasing such land, we reserve the right to use the land for whatever reasons we wish, and our own laws will govern said territory. We are prepared to pay whatever price (within reason, of course) per acre of land, and transactions will be made immediatly.

I look forward to doing business with the nations of the world.

~Lord Damien Dreadfire~"

And there you have it. Automagfreek will now be making bids to buy up land. If anyone has any offers they would like to make, feel free to present them to me directly, as I have been put in charge of this project.

Thank you, and have a grand day.

We saw the ads, and figured, why not consolidate our investments? We have some lands in Utah that are no longer needed by the Xenizen Government, and possibly, the North Island of New Zealand. The Xenizen Government would be willing to do a package deal, for say, USD$250,000,000 for both altogether. How's that?

Before we begin any transactions, may I inquire as to how much land you will be selling? Also, what conditions are present on the land? This would include layout of the terrain, typical weather patterns, environmental hazards, and what neighbors the area.

Any and all information you can give me on this territory will be appreciated.

The sale covers the whole of North Island, NZ and the State of Utah. The envirionment in both territories is relatively clean compared to mainland Upper Xen, though Utah's is more desertlike, dry and warm, with plenty of decently-sized (50,000 person) settlements and irrigation, and access to the Colorado River, and North Island's is a temperate, urbanized area, with sheep farming and limited agriculture.

Word of warning: Mormon extremists inhabit the State of Utah. We have been working on combating them, and our efforts have been successful. However, there are still a few, especially in the Rocky Mountains, so be careful.

That's about it. If Utah isn't a good offer, then you can just have the whole of the North Island of New Zealand, for half of the offered price.

Aust would be willing to sell our coloney of Bonstock, this former nation was taken around 30 years ago and we have identified it as undefendable. It is around 400 square miles. We would charge a sum of HP100,000 per Square Mile.

OIS Situation and Monitoring room
Valhalla Command Center
Transnapastain

The situation room was among the most impressive rooms in all of Transnapastain. Looking much akin to the evil layer of a mad man in a Bond film, though not located within active volcano, the room, spherical in shape, dominated the Valhalla Command Station, nerve center of the Transnapastani Military and Intelligence machine.

Black Onyx floor gleamed with the light from the banks of computer monitors, and blue lights set into the wall illuminated the workspace. Technicians and Analysts worked feverishly at their station, monitoring the multitude of spy and reconnaissance satellites that the Transnapastani Air Fleet maintained over the world. A single balcony rimmed the circumference of the room, with spiral staircases leading up to it from the main floor. On the balcony, guards stood watch over the area, as they patrolled the area. Intelligence Officers and military command staff worked from their offices, able to stand at the windows and lord over the people below.

And, in the center of it all, stretching from floor to ceiling of this massive room. A single holoprojector streamed a real time image of the Earth. Tracing the orbits of Transnapastani SatRec assists in thin blue lines, the Directorate Defense Force assets thin gold lines, and marking the positions of any known enemy surveillance satellite in a thin red line. Any satellite could be selected from the control station, and a green cone would appear, showing the satellites area of observation.

Anyone who had seen this mammoth control station was impressed and humbled, aside from maybe the Kaukolastani, who are always working in such lavish environments. In some circles of the DDF, it was said that the room was so extravagant, to compete from the Kaukolastani ISA…of course, any good OIS agent knows, this is simply not true…

The meeting convened on the upper tier, in one of the conference rooms. The Agents, Analysts, and Officers gathered around the oak take, settling in for the mid day situation report.

There was a slight vibration and humming as the counter-espionage measures were activated, making it impossible to hear what was being said from outside the room. Sub-Commander Fires, 2nd in command of the OIS and ranking officer in the room, stepped up to the podium, and dimmed the lights, bringing the projector online, which displayed the Agencies seal against the whiteboard.

“What have we got today?” he asked, curtly, “Interior?” he asked, addressing the SIA (Senior Intelligence Analyst) of the department.

And so, the meeting went on, with each department, Interior, gave their report, nothing new. Judiciary’s report was similar, nothing new; Exterior had some interesting news, however.

“Exterior? What have you got?” asked Fires

“Sir!” said SIA Rebecca Dryden. “Most notably today is an announcement out of AMF, that that’ll be buying up land for generous sums of money.”

“Interesting….” Muttered Fires, as she continued speaking about the deal.

“We don’t have any land of offer them, and it would be against Directorate policy to sell any islands outside of Transnapastani territorial waters, but within the Seabelt “

“I know that. However, we need to be appraised of any territory they’ve gained near the Directorate. We’ve always been pretty secure against an attack from them, due to the logistical nightmare posed at attacking us across the globe, what with us in the South Pacific and their homeland in the Atlantic. However, even if we alone, not to mention the rest of the alliance, could hold out own, and stand a decent chance of wining in all out war against the Freeks, there’s absolutely no point in kicking the hornets nest, if it’s not bothering you. Well, anyways, keep me apprised.”

“Yes sir.”

RE: Land purchase

I have spoken to Lord Dreadfire himself, and he accepts your offers of land. We will wire the funds over a secure electronic line immediately. We ask that the land be left vacant, because as we speak ships have set sail for our new territory, ready to begin the colonization process.

We thank you for your business and hope to do more in the future.

Within the hour hundreds of ships took to the high seas under AMF Naval secort, carrying construction supplies, enginners, and thousands of Sentinels for protection. A transmission was then sent to the military authorities of Upper Xen and Aust, informing them of their arrival into the new territory, and making a solem oath to go nowhere else.

"Oh my giddy aunt, I do wonder what they're up to." The Second Archon muttered in a hysterical manner. "We could, of course, sell them the western archipelagoes."

"We can't!" The Third Archon cried out, his massive nose seeming to quiver ever so slightly. "The western archipelagoes were annexed in the first place to provide a seaborne defensive base to the west of the mainland!"

"Yes, we can." The Second Archon insisted. "Those islands are a bit too small, considering how we build our cities. That and the fact they're too inhospitable. We'd end up spending far more to make them habitable and it isn't worth it!"

The Third Archon then opened his mouth to reply when the First Archon raised his hand. The First was the conservative one, more level headed, balancing out the Triumvirate Leadership of Adejaani. "We should sell them. We have no need and considering our reports from Automagfreek... They'd probably connect the islands to make a large seaport/base." He held up a hand once again to stop the Third Archon's rebuttal. "If they're hostile, there's nothing we could do anyway, since they outnumber and outpower us. Besides... It might buy us just a token measure of friendship with them, not that they need us, it nevertheless would be nice to... Try."

To our dear friends in Automagfreek.

The Regime of Adejaani has a large number of annexed islands in an "archipelago" type formation, approximately three hundred nautical miles from the Adejaani mainland. The concept of these islands is not unlike "Hawaii", in that they are outgrowths from an underwater/seabed volcano, though the number and average size of each island is greater.

Together, there are approximately eighty islands, the majority of which are about the same size as "Maui" and the total landmass forms roughly three hundred square miles, in an irregular triangle shape, with varying distances between the islands.

They are relatively barren, as they are so far from land, that not even migratory birds visit. As a result, the only vegetation on the islands tend to be old growth rainforests, with little to no other indigenous flora (plants) or fauna (animals), primarily small shrubs and ant type insects.

The entire archipelago is yours for a mere $30 million US. Before you raise any suspicious eyebrows, no, there are no tricks involved. The islands are simply not conductive to modern civilisations, being either too rocky/mountainous, swampy, or mosquito ridden jungles. That and the fact that our Naval Carrier Air Wings have been using many of the bigger islands as target practice.

Again, this is not a scam or a trick, the "real cost" is in terms of hardship, managing to tame the wilderness to turn it into a place to live. We have figured it too difficult, too expensive and too far for our own needs, but you can have it all for thirty million, US.

Yours honorably

Bonstock will never allow its land to be sold to AMF under any circumstances. Aust has no control over the sovreign Federal Republic of Bonstock. The land is governed by the Bonstocknian Senate and People. Whoever you vile imperialists are, know that those who dare take us for fools and desire to trade our land will be punished severely.

This land is our land, not your land. Have a nice day.

The Federal Republic would like to humbly request that when you recieve your new territory from Aust called "Bonstock" that you change the name to something else. We would not want the Federal Republic of Bonstock mistaken for an AMF colony. Thank you.
