President Sutton Relases Shocking Imperialistic Foreign Policy Doctrine
Today, President Sutton released to the world a shocking new foreign policy doctrine that beings the nation one step closer to becoming an imperialist state. This new foreign policy appropriately named 'The Expansionist Doctrine' states the following:

With the understanding that there are nations who actively threaten, harm, and attack others for the sole purpose of expanding its territorial borders for economic, political, and/or military gains, Credonia reaffirms its pledge to the international community to engage in no such immoral and illegal practices.

Because of Credonia's growing interests and following suit with the actions taken within the nation of Nerotika, leading to the Credonian annexation of part of that nations territory after legally invading for justifiable reasons, it shall be the policy of the Sutton Administration and this government that any nation that finds itself being invaded by Credonian forces for completely justifiable reasons, runs the risk of Credonian annexation of all or part of that nation's territory. Credonia shall retain the right to annex any nation that it finds itself at war with should the cause of war be unequivocally justifiable to the international community. The decision to annex all or part of an enemy nation rests with the President of the United States of Credonia or his/her designee and must be approved by the Credonian continental congress with a 2/3rds majority vote. Should congress fail to accept the territory as official property and territory of the United States of Credonia, the President may order Credonian troops to remain within that territory for an unmolested and indefinite period of time.

However, I will find fault in Credonia's new foreign policy if no attempts are made at reconstruction of the new territories, as that is simply neglectful of their responsibility."

Guerrillistani intellectuals are not shocked by such news as they knew this all along.

Shops throughout Guerrillistan are selling Credonian flags for special "burn credonia" celebrations.

firstly without an invasion, there would be no need for scrounging. Guerrillistan didn't mention anything about rather wanting "this" or "that", what we wanted to put across was our contempt at Credonia's foreign policy, pretending to work for the international community while really working for itself and its megalomaniac leader.

I and my fellow national leaders were worried that you had taken the first steps to Imperialism with your previous announcment of your foreign policy doctrines, and had mentioned this as a possible concern of ours, which were dismissed out of hand by either you or your staff.

Now, with this announcement of your new doctrine, we feel that we were justified in worrying about a shift in your foreign policy towards Imperialsim. On the other hand, our worries were mostly based in what would appear to be a policy of unannounced Imperialism while outwardly denying such a thing.

Since your recent announcement has declared your Imperialistic nature, the Republic of Lanquassia has heaved a sigh of relief. We would rather have an ambitious, agressive, more powerful HONEST neighbor amoung those we consider our loose allies and friends, rather than a weak, manipulative, dishonest and furtive nation.

You have my and my government's word that should you take any actions to stablize any region and prevent chaos from outbreaking, Lanquassian troops will be right alongside Credonian, if you will have them.

Credonia does not "pretend" to work for the international community. In fact, everything that we have done to date has in some way, shape, or form, supported the international community and has shaped the world we live in. To say that Credonia is working for itself is ignorant. Look at the world around you, look at how relatively safe it is, relatively free of fanatical terrorists, free of the threat of the use of nuclear weapons by crazed nations with crazed regimes, economic prosperity, and relative peace. If Credonia has contributed to all of this in some extent, then how could ANYONE say that we are working for ourselves when we are bettering the world that we all live in?

Credonia's transition to more imperialistic ways has been reached to its fullest extent as is evident from this doctrine. A nation can only go so far when engaging in imperialistic actions without breaking international laws. Credonia has and will forever remain a nation that supports and defends international laws and everything that is moral, just, and right. Our imperialism is mild and gives no threats to any nation that is engaging in legal activities and abiding by international laws.

On another note, Credonia will not annex every nation that it goes to war with. While we may wish to expand upon our territory, like all nations do, there are certain situations in which the annexation of another nation is acceptable and other situations where the annexation of another nation is not, it all depends upon the situation and the circumstances we find ourselves in. This doctrine merely gives the legal authority to myself and all other Presidents who take office after me, to excersize their right to annex another nation that it goes to war with, should the situation allow it.

On a last note, Credonia is glad to have the support of your nation should and when we take actions that are for the betterment of the international community and we graciously accept your support.

Statement from the New White House

The President supports this small change in our long-term ally Credonia's foreign policy. We feel that the policy correctly shows the attitudes that should be taken towards aggressor nations, and therefore acts as a deterent to keep the International community friendly and prevents possible aggressor nations from acting and upsetting the fragile balance of world power.

Whilst the President has ruled out any such change to IH foreign policy, there has been callings from Congress and the Senate for the USIH to take a more active stance in promoting democracy in partnership with our democratic allies such as Credonia throughout the world.

President Anderson wishes to discuss this and many other issues vital to both nations at the upcoming Hitmen-Credonia summit, and then hopefully carry forth the concensus into a possible forthcoming Ottoman Alliance Summit later this summer.

Credonia thanks its most loyal and values ally, Independent Hitmen for its support with yet another Credonian foreign policy. This policy certainly does serve as a deterrent against all nations who are out to bring harm to the innocent. Let this policy serve as a warning, any nation capable of and willing to do anything that would cause themselves to cross paths with Credonia and its allies is capable of and willing to become a Credonian territory and the territory of her allies.

President Sutton also favors bilateral talks with your nation on various issues, including this, so solidify the already solid bond, partnership, and bretherenship that our two great nations already share.

We thank you for and appreciate the support that your nation is giving to Credonia. However, let it be made known that Credonia shall not, and never will be known as an imperialist superpower. Credonia's agenda is not imperialism, nor will it ever be, however, as with any and all nations, there is a need to expand as a nation grows, and we are merely expressing this through means of annexing our enemie's territory, should we have the proper reasoning behind it.

Statement to President Harsimran

Once again, Credonia thanks Space Union for its loyal and strong support for Credonian foreign policies. This policy will indeed help support the spread of democracy throughout the world and Credonia enjoys being on the forefront of such a political movement. This policy also allows Credonia the means to personally take nations under her wing for the betterment of their society and that has and will remain the goal of Credonia until the end of time.

“Well Mavil, do you have any last news for me.” The King asked while plunging his fork into a sausage.

“Well there is one new piece of information Majesty, though it’s hardly secret nor pressing, but it is regarding the despots of Credonia. I’m sure you will be interested to know that they have recently restructured their foreign policy, to one of Imperialism no less.”

”Imperialism” The King scoffed, splattering pig grease and sausage over the aides face. “My, my, how concerning, well, do tell Mavil, what have they conquered?”

“I’m sure you won’t care Majesty, however the United States has seen fit to take certain territories from the nation of Nerotika.”

“?” George looked on perplexed. “Does that place really exist, I’ve never heard of it before.”

“Yes Majesty, I do believe it’s on the southern hemisphere.”

“Mavil, that hardly narrows it down.” Lifting his podgy bulk from his high back chair George allowed the scarps of his meal to fall gently to the floor. His new Alsatian should enjoy the snacks. “Well, compose something Mavil, make it short but snappy.”

“Yes my lord, will that be all?”

“Oh, before you go Mavil, perhaps you could witness Philips new trick?” The Alsation appeared in the doorway. “Now I know you’ve been concerned for my safety Mavil, but now I can assure you that there really is no need. Philip here is all the protection I require.”

His Majesty George VI, King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, Emperor of India and head of the Imperial Commonwealth issues the following statement regarding the Imperialism of the United States of Credonia to the United States of credonia.

I have recently witnessed the change within your governments foreign policy, and can only pray that Credonian statements of global equality and democracy will be withdrawn forthwith from all public domains. Annexation of foreign territory though legally astute, in terms of economic and financial gain, does not necessarily uphold the vested interests of democracy for any given region. My government is therefore forced to become concerned over Credonias international reputation. However, my government is confident that Credonia will continue to battle diplomatic and international hypocrisy from its lumbering bureaucracy until its public statements and foreign policy form one cohesive and non contradictory pattern.

Response to King George VI of the Imperial Commonwealth

Your Majesty,
Credonia does not take territories and use them for policical, or economic gain. Take for example our Protectorate nation of South Nerotika. We have not interfered with the inner-dealings of their government. In fact, they have their own government independent of the Credonian beauracracy and have just today declared their full independence to the world. If this does not show otherwise that our intentions are good, then I dunno what will, and it would be silly for your government to believe otherwise. If we were using them, we would have military bases all over S. Nerotika, we have no such bases. And we would flaunt it for all to see to ensure that the world knows that they are our "property" as we do with certain acquired territories (terrorist nations that we take over). We have not done so and will not do so now or in the future. Credonia is more concerned with the well-being of nations who are struggling or peoples who are oppressed.
