Hoth Manufacturing Headquarters, Apex, The Hoth system
There was jubiliation in the streets of the Hothian capital city of Apex today aften the announcement of the creation of the official corporate province of Hoth Manufacturing Corporation. Although hundreds of millions of people have lived there for years, only now has construction of the capital and stabilization of the military finally completed, prompting this ceremony commemorating the area's statehood. In the planning stages of the project, the nation was called simply "the Hoth system" and it was decided that a true name be agreed upon at a later date. However, the name stuck, and the official name isd now "The Hoth Manufacturing Corporate Industrial Zone of the Hoth system". In a recorded message from inside the Hothian Administration Building, CEO Darryl Galvax laid out the history of the company and expressed his hopes that with the first landholdings of the corporation, the future will be ever brighter.
"I remember when we first broke free, becoming an independent company after a corporate split that nearly tore us apart," said Galvax, seated in his office on the fiftieth floor of the just-completed Administration Building. "Since then, like the proverbial phoenix of old, we have rose from our ashes to find ourselves greater than those we left in our wake."
"Purchasing large amounts of land, for a company, is a difficult and often uncertain move, I realize," he added, addressing concerns that the manufacturing business was ill-equipped to serve as a government for a full-size country. "I assure you, we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that long after all of us here today are gone, the Hoth system will endure, well-defended and as prosperous as we see it today."
A huge crowd formed outside the Administration Building, watching the CEO give his speech through the immense screen affixed to the building's side. When he was finished, a huge roar of cheering went up that could be heard all throughout the capital.
Still, some analysts say running a nation, though beneficial to circumvent the restrictions of incorporating in another country, could ultimately harm the Hoth Manufacturing Corporation by shifting its focus from product development and production to the inevitable struggles with itself every fledgling nation faces. Despite these questions, Hoth stock jumped five percent today, showing that investors believe the founding of the Hoth system is a decidedly smart move.
"Now, we seek others who will help us," the CEO added towards the end of his speech. "Those who would ally us would not only gain a grateful friend, but also a company that can supply them with the cutting-edge technology necessary to survive on the global scale today." There was dispute over this statement, as some believe it shows weakness. The Hoth system's military has not yet been dealt with, and, as of now, the national police organization is the sole defense mechanism of the corporation.
Overall, even critics of the expansion agree that Galvax's command of the situation and ease in which Hoth has filled the supervisory role of a government is superb. At least for now, the future looks good for the Hoth system.

My nation is modern to slightly postmodern tech, using technologies feasible today but not in active use. I have a lot of roleplaying experience from other forums, though this is my first time roleplaying as a national entity. Right now, I'm looking for a good region, a good army, and good allies.
