We of the Hand of God Legion, holy soldiers on a crusade on this world declare this planet a soverign nation, and have ousted the Leafanistani Regional Governor and the Leafanistani Republican Senators, which not only didn't represent us, they abused their powers and took advantage of us. Religion was removed from daily life, and heathen homosexuals, bisexuals, and those generally not behaving in a good Roman Catholic way were allowed to run free. Right in front of God's gift to us, this wonderful planet, and they soiled it with their sins. As we speak out legions move forth to capture these heretics and protestants and take them to re-education camps, for them to learn the true path. We have destroyed the Del-Rey-class Frigate in orbit after it launched heathen forces at us, we are not afraid to kill to defend ourselves and protect our territory. We ask for space faring nations to support us in our cause, and send us aid.

As of this moment we are moving in the fleet to secure the planet and bring it back into the fold of the Republic. The Hand of God Legion is not what they say they are. There are lead by a self-proclaimed "Pope", who has declared Sol's Pope to be a heretic and has abandoned God. They have bombed Catholic, and Protestant churches alike. They have bombed children's stores, bio-research labs, train stations, buses, markets, and all sorts of targets. Never once attacking the military. Recently about 3 million people emigrated to Harvest. It is believed that 1.5 million were indoctrinated in these "re-education" camps, brainwashing facilities and wrested control from the planet's meek, 150 strong Marine defense forces. They mercilessly slaughtered 240 Leafanistani Naval Officers, what they forgot to mention is that the Frigate was a Medical Re-supply ship in orbit at the time. They recieved the help call of the Governor and sent down 2 dropships with elite troopers on them to investigate. Do not interfere in our actions as we crush this infringement on the rights of the other colonists who are being slaughtered, and their minds polluted.

The Battlegroup used a pinpoint Slipspace jump, a dangerous manuver to get into orbit fast and unnoticed. They quickly deployed their Llamas and went down to the surface as fast as they could. One Llama took 2 nukes, it went down in a blaze of glory, showering the other ships with molten fragments, the resulting explosion and debrie field would create a navgational hazard for decades to come. They landed in the water near the unoccupied side of the mainland, far away from the cities.

OOC: Yeah, I've been having difficulty reconciling the differences between those. Some say I should be original and change it slightly. Others say I should stick to the Halo reference. I'll stick to the Halo reference. So excuse me if I mix them up, I am a bit absent minded at times.

Understood. It will be two days' time before our ships are properly fitted for this mission, but we will need to know what types of weapons and ordinance to bring. (OOC: I use mainly stuff from Huntaer's Infantry storefront. I can send you the precise details in a telegram if you want to look them over) We will also need to have at the least a rough idea of the geography and climate of Harvest. Once we have acquired the needed information to properly equip our troops, we will slip into your space.

We appreciate your informing us of this threat, and will take this into account when conducting operations over Harvest. However, we are confident of the armor and shielding on our Vespirs, which can easily withstand multiple simultaneous nuclear missile impacts. We would also like to inform you that each of our Vespir carries thirty-six high-yield 75-megaton nuclear missiles onboard, which can be used against rebel targets if you wish. If you would like instead, these can be replaced with "Hammerblow" antimatter torpedoes (note, however, if they are used against the planet, each one will destroy an area roughly the size of Africa; however, there will be no radiation).

Encrypted Messaget to all Allied Powers

We've been monitoring this situation, but were unable to reply due to a ion storm near our base.

We're prepared to send 6 Cobalt Class Destroyer's in to help. This will add not only the advanced ship but 200 Special Forces soldiers that can assault enemy positions stealthy.

We plan to use our Destroyer's to assault enemy supply lines, and work in intelligence/counter intelligence operations. On top of that, we're asking to be the lead operational detachment in the hunt for the nuclear weapons.

We'll be en'route to your position as soon as two of our destroyers arrive on base and another is crewed and launched from a local moon refit facility.

The Destroyer came from what appeared like thin air. Just flying up out of the base on a large moon and into the center of the other 5 ships that were in a spread out formation while taking on extra supplies and being prepared to leave port. Had the other destroyer's not been aware of the incoming vessel's origin, and been expecting it to within 5 minutes, it would have been blow to so many peices the moon repair facility would be evacuated.

Aboard the lead ship, RMV Cobalt, the last of the thermonuclear tactical intercept missiles were being loaded into a secure bay.

Each ship had an armament of 20 of these missiles. Each time a ship is going into a zone with known nuclear threats extra precautions are taken. Not only does the ship have a complete center for counter nuke threat assesment, each ship in the 6 destroyer fleet has a special forces insertion system to land up to a batallion of troops within 5KM's of a nuclear site covertly.

Sitting on the dark bridge of the destroyer Cobalt, Captain Izzy Galloway was moving from station to station taking in reports of the security scare earlier where a large thermonuclear warhead had nearly been set off inside the docking bay of the ship, even though it hadn't supposed to have been there.

"Ok, is the last destroyer done loading?" he asked while taking a seat, since he knew the answer was most likely yes.

"Yes sir, Slither just undocked and has joined the formation" the young blonde woman at the ops station said over the hiss of an opening door to the rear in the Command Intelligence Center.

"Ok, order the ships into a chevron formation behind us, tell them 2 minutes to slipspace."

2 minutes later a civilian contractor on the base noted a bright flash of light.

OOC: I think a few people are using HALO like tech, but i'm not sure if this is a HALO RP.

With about 1 hour left in the trip the bridge aboard Cobalt was quite. Just the sound of the computer's, the occasional beep, and every now and then someone talking in the Command Intelligence Center that was working on how to assault the nuclear threat.

At once, the Operations desk came to life. "Sir, we've got 3 RS (Republican Starfleet) Cruisers near our position who just came off a mission against some pirates. They're requesting to join our battlegroup, they've been cleared to by command, they just need your approval."

The Captain had already thought about how he didn't have very much light tactical support to use against any fighter's that could swarm the fleet, and he couldn't pass up this offer.

"Have them file into position between the mid ships in the formation."

1 Hour later the ships dropped out of slipspace and began their approach to the warzone.

"Let the Leafanistan forces know we're here, and ask them where they want us."

OOC: OMG it's McKagan! I haven't seen you on the forums in ages. I completely forgot about this thread. Whoops. Probably because I'm busy in the wrapping-up the Monitgnac Civil War, and another war I'm involved in. But I'm pulling my Vespirs out, I've bought better vessels now. :D

The Vespirs suddenly pulled out of orbit and entered their wormholes back to home, puzzling the allied vessels in the region. It appeared that Halberdgardia had unexpectedly withdrawn, without reason.

Two hours later, a massive black hulk of a vessel decelerated from hyperspace. It was the D.R.H. Vengeance, one of the flagships of the Halberdgardian Spacefleet: an Eclipse-class Star Destroyer (http://insd.swcombine.com/insd/eclip.htm). Capable of devastating entire planets through various means, and of singlehandedly mounting a planetary invasion, it was a terrifying sight to behold. An open transmission came across the allies' lines:

"Is this a better fit for the situation?"

Rovonia, as a peace loving nation, would offer it's capital city for peace talks and dialogue.

I propose autonomy for Harvest, but within the borders of Leafanistan.

In return you could offer them a local government system under Gods law and the teachings of the Bible.
