The Dominion of the Conservative Union hereby declares an active war against poverty. We wish to set up an international coalition committee(seperate from anything to do with the United Nations) to open the forum on ending poverty in the world. This is similar to my proposal on education equality (The Summit on Educational Equality, found in this forum), and will include a fund to help combat poverty. I propose a Five member council to manage funds and institute policy, and a completly open debate on ways of solving poverty. If you wish to join the council, please specify such. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

The Union donates 3 million dollars to start the coalition.

We are quite happy to see another philantropist nation entering our small but growing democratic group of nations. We will offer 10 million recans to support your effort.

Please, this cause needs publicity, we thank you eternily for your gracious contribution, and ask you contribute just the word of this cause to your fellow leaders.

We wish to know how you propose to solve this alleged poverty crisis.

We here in Ximea find all humans to have an equal right to basic standards of living. Since billions of people are currently living far below those standards, whether through lack of domestic resources, government corruption, or external exploitation, we're prepared to drop $50 million USD on your cause.

But 50 million USD is a lot of money. Before we pledge it, we need to be absolutely certain that it will be spent wisely and justly. As such, we have appointed a commission to analyze how you intend to solve the poverty crisis, as well as how prepared your coalition is for such an undertaking.

We would greatly appreciate if you could explain your proposed solution in detail to assist in our analysis.

Our plan to eradicate poverty is a Four-pronged attack:

1. Using field agents and reports issued by coalition members, we will identify the areas of poverty that are most dire, ranking conditions based on statistics gather by the governments and our agents. After areas are identified, we will set up specific commitees to deal with these areas, and distribute funds based on assesed need.

2. Our goal will be to create wealth and income. Economic revitalization is key. We will invest into intising industry and commerce to move to these areas. Tax-insentives, providing resources, and gentle urging on business and industry to create business in impovershed areas, ultimatly creating jobs, and revitilizing the local economies.

3. We will also seek to provide education to the younger generations. Through education(schools, libraries, and colleges) we will provide the next generation of citizens the necessary tools to be competent and succeful workers, allowing them to rise from poverty to middle class. Please go to my International Summit on Educational Equality thread to learn more about our efforts to provide education to everyone.

4. Accountibility. We want to educate people on the importance of accountibility. We will set up workshops to help people with budgeting, fiscal responsibility, and making the most out of every bit of resources. This will most likely be aacomplished by going through exsisting civil instituions, such as religous temples, school, libraries, and city-hall meetings.

We also want to create a council to come up with more ideas. Please post it if you would like join this five person council. I will choose the first five, afterwhich elections for council seats can be held.

I am interested. Rammstienburg would be pleased to join this council. Though we won't be able to destroy poverty, we certainly can do something to tackle the problem.

Here is the answer to your questions:

1. In areas of farming and agriculture, we would seek to insure that first, enough food is being produced to feed the local population; second, to increase production enough as to become an economically viable enterprise. This would mean protecting them from bigger farm and agricultual corporations by creating subsidies. We would also seek to provide the latest technology to the farmers. In any case, an individual assesment of the situation would be neccessary, so that a more tailored solution can be fitted.

2. An oversight commitee will be established. In addition, any coalition members or agents responsible for any sum of resources or money, will be required to issue weekly reports on every bit of money spent, on what it was spent, and proof that such transactions took place.

3. Assesment:5%

Education: 35%
Accountablility:5%
Payroll, organizational costs/Emergancy fund: 5%
