Today Tanthan begins the research of a secondary use of the Mythril metal. It was recently smelted down into ingots, and demand for the luxurious green metal has sparked a demand in it for decorations.

Uses are already being found in:

Shields and Swords
Dresses and suits
Ornate furniture
Medicine
Weapons
Armor

Mythril will continued to be used in higher technology and will appear more commonly in Tanthan.

This really isn't the proper thread for it, but it offers an insight for the business of selling ore and other products for exporting.

Mythril itself is Elven for "true silver" and takes considerable time to research, up to 1 NS year, the ore itself is common on Tanthan and can be made nicely. It is a deep green. You'd need to research the use of it for a few NS months at least before you could easily use it.

Most of prussiatopias population is High IQ'd, and out of our labour force of 50 Million (about 1/9th or 1/8th of total population), 45% make up the scientific research sector. The point is, will you be willing to import some of our scientests to your country (they might be cheaper labour than in your country), to help you with mythrill research. In return, we expect you to offer less than 1 tonne of mythrill, enough for our own scientests to rake in an oppurtunity of advantage. We are also willing to launch Prussiatopia, Inc. Technologies Officies throughout your main cities (30 new offices infact, offering 18,500 jobs), plus offer a few thousand extra jobs to your more isolate communitys.

Alchemy is being studied currently in the schools across Tanthan!


Basic types being studied:


An alchemist of metals would be able to use metal and make repairs and defensive items from metal only. Less experienced alchemists would have a set limit on metal and learn more as a balance. Copper to Tin to Iron to Steel and so on.

An alchemist of nature would be able to create potions and strong medicines from certian plants, and extract fluid and materials easily. Obtaining water from trees and plants would be easy, but to extract antidotes to poisons or medicine would take a highly skilled alchemist.

Then you have combat alchemists. Ones that are capable of having personalized war machines and won't back down from a fight. Ones to make bombs from old bullets or duds of missiles. While a extremely skilled alchemist could turn people into explosives (I did the work...its there...) or destroy their internal organs with a devastating touch to use alchemy to break them up from the inside out.

Then you can have your forbidden ones. Criminals and murderers that person inhumane acts, most of these people will be in conflict with your nation or does unholy experiments of mutations or turning people into minerals and parts. Using people themselves as the ingredient for twisted means.

The Alchemic Ranking system has been introduced!

Alchemists are grouped into several classes based on skill, usually the skill level of most alchemists fall into a low level range. These are only moderately strong Alchemists, but achieve only a small percent of the work of the Alchemists together.

Tanthan's Alchemist Ranking System is an advanced 10 layered system in which Alchemist move along a so called Sephiroth. Only the highest skill Alchemists are able to communicate with 'God' and are able to perform the very best of all Alchemic transmutations.

Novice: This is the very first level of an Alchemist's career. A novice is an alchemist who is still in the process of studying and learning the arrays for Alchemy. These Alchemists are usually under the age of 15. Their knowledge is clearly limited to simple movements, and reconstructing of existing objects. Very rarely does a Novice Alchemist move up to a Rank 1 Alchemist, most of the people do not possess the concentration needed to pass the test, or the will to make Alchemy a true career.

Rank 1: This is the first governmental level of Alchemy. This level is achieved when a previously unknown Alchemist, currently ranked as Novice, goes to the school to take the Alchemic Process Test. The APT is an intense test that goes very heavily into the transmutation circles and arrays that are used in Alchemy. The Rank 1 test also has a incrediblely tough hands-on test section. The test will cause the Alchemist to use a pile of Iron to create an object, such as a sword or shield, even a gun from a lump of Iron. The point of this test varies, the government favors any Alchemist who can actually turn the Iron into steel and produce a strong and sizable work. Some of these tests have gone horribly wrong, in which molten steel spikes or iron balls rain down on the Alchemist, in some cases killing them. Rank 1 is still only the first level of government ranking in Alchemy, but is also one of the easiest to pass.

Rank 2: This is a test that requires at least one year of study as a Rank 1. The complex processes and understanding of the atomic structure makes this test another brutal reality of the applicants. This cause many of the Alchemists to drop out or go mad from stress. Complete understanding of all the Alchemic Arrays are needed and have to be draw out, also in such a way that they are completely understood and can be explained. Then the test becomes a real challenge, a user must develope a personal Alchemic Array. This array will become the section of mastery for the user. These arrays must also be powerful, and efficent. The more complex an array is made, the harder it is to control and understand. The time of simple alchemic arrays is over, no longer the dependance on circle or triangle shaped arrays will be able to provide an Alchemist the control or power needed to perform the real Alchemic transmutation.

Rank 3: TRis is a relatively easy rank to attain if an Alchemist had passed Rank 2 with flying colors. This is the Alchemist Level where combat is introduced. The Alchemists at this Rank are capable of fighting and defending themselves with speedy creation of alchemic arrays. Many of the alchemists at this stage have their choice array permanently tattooed onto their body. Places like the hands and arms are very key to quick use of Alchemic Arrays. The combat process is a speedy duel that will cause the true nature of the Alchemist to come out. The individual will either hide or become overly defensive in combat or completely unable to act. The military will look for aggressive or overly violent Alchemists. True power and ruthlessness will be the key traits of any Alchemist that is of Rank 3 or higher.

Rank 4: This is the actual miltary Alchemist. All Alchemist are very adapt at Alchemy and know how to fight extremely well. Most of these Alchemists have a second ability tattooed onto their opposite hand. Alchemist's at this point will become deadly hand-to-hand fighters. Capable of ripping apart heavy armor, tanks and shields in seconds. They can also harness the power of elements to destroy things usually within the range of ten meters. They comprise 80% of all military Alchemists. Some Alchemists of this rank are non-combative military recruits. These will be mechanics and medics for troops, the ability of an Alchemist to enhance the power of medicines or efficentcy of machines and do quick repairs is amazing. Alchemist medics are experts of removing limbs and quickly healing the wound by forcing the body to make the healing process speed up or tie it together, this is usually not painful, but can be a discomforting feeling to have your limbs stretched to heal.

Rank 5: This is where dangerous Alchemists begin to show up. Rank 5 Alchemists are no longer tested. They are extremely smart and devoted Alchemists. Comprising 10% of all Alchemists in the military, these are the ones to watch out for. They carry very powerful personal weapons of their choice. These Alchemists are known to enhance the power of weapons to cut through metal and people with intense temperatures or break them with intense cold. Often very cruel Alchemists, these Alchemists take over the job of entire Platoons. These forces are extremely powerful and are almost impossible to beat in close combat.

Rank 6: The start of the Leaders. The elite of all Alchemists! These are extremely cruel leaders of combat. Made of the 6% of all Alchemists, these are extremely powerful. Their entire bodies are covered in Alchemic Arrays. Nearly impossible to kill directly they are capable of instantly blowing apart tanks and vehicles. Incredible strength and power allows them to dominate most of all forces. Approaching complete mastersy of Alchemy they need to take a test to become Majors. All Alchemists Rank 6 have the rank of Major.

Rank 7: Comprised of 2% of all Alchemists. These are given the rank of Colonel in the military. Unbelievable Alchemists. Capable of large-scale alchemic transmutations they create some of the most unusual weapons in Tanthan. Often known to turn the enemies dead into water and fuel these Alchemists are ones not to mess with. Typically cynical and cruel they embody the target of many nations. Known to bring down entire cities in minutes they are not below using civilians to push for completion of a military task.

Rank 8: Comprised of the top 1% of all Alchemists. Extremely rare to find, they have devoted their lives to alchemy and have been rewarded with the rank of General in the military for the masterful control and intelligence of everything military and alchemic. Capable of creating different elements from anything they are usually past even thinking of defenses and attacks. Rarely will a Rank 8 Alchemist need to use their power. When they do these Alchemists have been known to destroy entire military complexes in seconds, known to sink battleships and aircraft carriers of Modern Tech nations these Alchemists are usually unable to be captured. They are approaching the peak of all Alchemy and have few things to stop them. Like Jedi Knights, except more powerful then many.

Rank 9: Comprised of .999994% of all Alchemists. This is a step below achieving the final power of Alchemy. They differ from Rank 8 Alchemists in two key aspects. These Alchemists no longer have the need to use Arrays. They are able to envision the array and create it without needing to use their body or draw it out. They burn the array around the items to be transmuted, leaving a clear mark behind. Capable of using blood alchemy, they can use their own blood to enchant objects and spy on targets with them. A Rank 9 Alchemist has never been forced into a battle, it is rumored that their skill is so high that they can steal the life from their would be killers before they get close.

Rank 10: The .000006% of all Alchemists. Given the title, Godsman, these legendary Alchemists are capable of speaking directly to God. Capable of reading minds and preventing death. Known to bring people back from the dead and put up incredible defenses. These Alchemists can control magnetic fields and electrons to produce what appear to be miracles. Capable of flying, typically they hover and bringing every threat to their knees within their senses they are one's not meant to be messed with. Eternal life is a sign of Godsmen. They are more powerful then any Sith or Jedi easily. Capable of destroying entire space fleets easily, they are not to be messed with.

Can prussiatopia have some resources on Alchemy teaching? We would like some of these as our own citizens in our nation. Recently extra funding has been put into education, my highest price for your resources i will give is $1.1 Trillion (80% of my education budget, source = NSEconomy Calculator (http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com) ).

The first alchemy college in prussiatopia shall start construction within 1 - 2 NS Years if you accept this offer. Also, to gian extra back-up profit, i will sell back 0.5 tonnes of the mythrill you gave me yesterday, my scientests do not need it and have carried out the research they needed.

The Emperor's aide spoke before the Council today, to announce disturbing speech which will forever change Tanthan:

The world is adrift
Lost in a sea of self-importance
Technoglogy sates the masses
Pleasure resonates in everything
Clouding all minds, bending wills

To construct a humane world
One must forget humanity!
Humanity is weak and hypocritical
How can we expect to follow her
When she defies humane practice

Humane ways are not of war
Humane ways are not of peace
Humane is harsh and fair

Our world is corrupted by this
Such matters must be removed
Only I can bring true peace
There will be one battle
One loss, to gain everlasting peace

The government is against you
People have clouded minds

The council applauded and everyone is backing Viken now.

(Secretly, after the meeting, a phone call)

Viken: Fools, I will destroy them all, death and destruction solves all problems
???: Yes, we will cease all of their lives and idle thoughts, freeing them from problems.
Viken: How are the new Slave bangles?
???: A complete success, better then we hoped for, their minds will be ours.
Viken: Now to kill that little bitch who enslaved our people, I'll throw her off the tower and claim the throne.
???: Wonderful, together we will be gods and deliver them from their lives
Viken: No one can stop us now!
???: The holy light will pass judgement on them and the chosen will live with us in an ideal world!

OOC: If you know the back story this makes complete sense, but the two are planning to overthrow the government to create a theocracy in which they are gods and place their beliefs on the masses. Both are completely mad and are the result of an accident in genetic mutation. Corrupt and idealistic they are trying to fix the evils of the world as they are Gods sent to rule Tanthan justly, in their own minds.

"Hello, Su Majors here! Reporting in on the latest change in power within Tanthan. Moments ago Viken was elected house leader and the key role in the government as the Emperor's Second. We expect him to be showing up any minute."

The camera moves infront of the national fortress and out barges the boastful Viken, wearing a white cape and a head bandana. Followed by the Emperor and Empress.

The wise old Emperor has a warm smile on his face and softly speaks, his powerful charismatic voice touches everyone around, "Today is a great day indeed, their will be much joy and happiness in the new Tanthan with Mr. Viken here to help."

Viken smiles and starts chanting something under his breath.

"Viken what are you up to?" the Emperor asks, he's obviously confused.

"Oh...nothing my dear Emperor!" Viken smirks and suddenly a burst of fire encases the Emperor.

"Oh dear God!" screams Miss Majors. "What are you doing you fool!"

Viken just smirks and watches the burned Emperor fall to his knees, pulling out a sword he quickly stabs the other Aides before they can react.

"Now Tanthan shall be mine! Once I have disposed of the rats we shall open the gates to a new world!" he laughes and quickly cleaves the shocked daughter of the Emperor in two. "Get this all on tape! The family is doomed! No longer shall we fight our allies!"

The military police swarm in and cover Viken, his faithful guards at his back and front. They are supporting him through this 'ordeal'. Viken begins chanting and the city begins to burn, the camera cannot keep focus because of the intense heat and explosions. It begins to break.

".....I shall burn this palace to the ground then build my own tower..."

Heat and flames cause the camera to fade out, but the news broadcast switches to an aerial view. A bright light from the palace shoots into the sky, like a cross. Ground shaking and a massive cloud of dust the Palace falls in on itself, the city becomes ablaze while Viken stands at the center of the square and watches in glee, his voice can be faintly heard.

"God has sent me to burn this wicked city to the ground! Feel the wrath of him!"

The center of the town explodes and wipes away a huge star shaped center. An alchemic array is formed.

"Now perish vile creatures! Viken commands it!"

The city glows and the buildings and people rise into the sky, even his faithful guards are not safe as their leader sacrifices them to the mass of glowing lights. Pure energy in its truest form. The ground shakes and splits, creating fissures to pull down huge sections of the coastal city, the center of the city soon becomes an island as Viken gathers more energy.

"Wonderous lights, build me my home on the pure holy ground I created! Viken commands it!"

The glowing lights swirl and a huge horizontal spaceship takes form, the blinding lights block the creation, but it is clear that Viken has built a warship.

"Dear....oh my.....I am at a lost for words..." gasps the news reporter. "How can he have done this!? What is that?"

A view of a glowing figure encased in white light with long flowing hair and a white cape on appears on camera, a strong hand pointed directly at the center. A white streak of light forms and clouds the view completely.

"No! This cannot be! Noooooooo! Arghhh---"

The camera is cut off that instant and the screen goes black.

Back in the news room, a stunned news team stares blankly and the channel goes blank. The murder of the entire capital and royal family has just taken place. Tanthan by default now has Viken as the new leader of the entire Empire.
