I'll try something different here. This will be sort of a rough outline for a RP I'm beginning as soon as Sarzonia RPs its pullout from the Inkanan Civil War (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=405483). The IC thread, which has not been created yet, will be mostly closed, but if you really want in, you can TG me with a proposal and I'll think about it.
The pullout will be viewed as a disaster for the Sarzonian military and the majority of the blame will be placed on the Army. The House of Delegates (which is the upper chambre in Sarzonia) will call for hearings into the conduct of the war. Should he survive the war, Brigadier General Wesley Pinckney will be called to the stand, along with Colonel Mike Quinn, Army Chief Antonius Santius, and others.
What will result from the hearings is that recommendations made by Santius shortly after he came over from Sanctaphrax will come to the surface that his predecessor ignored that would have improved the Army's performance in the war. Pinckney and Quinn will also be scrutinised, but details about the goings on in the war will surface and they will more than likely exonerate Quinn. A large slate of reforms will result, from major reforms such as increased salaries and greater parity in spending on the Army, Air Force, and Navy, to minor ones like reverting to the customary rank order of major general being a higher rank than brigadier general.
Doomingsland has already suggested that one of his characters might send a satellite feed of testimony about Pinckney's conduct during the war. Another outcome I'm hoping for is the development of a training RP for my army. What I'm hoping this will do is to give me experience with ground combat RPing and give me a basis for the RP'd improvement of my army.
As for the Air Force, an infusion of new technology will be the result of the war, as it will be determined that the ISAF is behind Doomingsland in that regard.
