Scellia becomes a Republic Affiliate
A massive ship floats serenly in space, inside a system named Gate. It hovers near a spatial vortex, enourmus in its own right but small compared to the might Cityship. Over the last weeks the Scellian presence in the Gate system had grown, the one Fleet Base that was so recently constructed gleamed like a polished steel disc upon the third planets barren surface. A scattering of Scellian ships move about the system, some on patrol the rest clustered protectively about the Cityship or the Fleet Base. What made the Fleet Base so special and different from other Scellian ships was the facilities it housed, namely those that allowed other species to live comfortably within its walls. It was the first time that these facilities were to be used for foreign guests, the first time that the offer had been nessesary. It was to be a momentus occasion, Scellia was to enter into another alliance, its postition in this dimension was about to become that much firmer.
OOC: OK Kazec, make you entrance. Or you could launch from the ship you already have there.

ooc: Play thing? I don't... on second thought, I just won't respond.
Ic: There was a Kazeci ship in the sector, but it was not the right ship. This mission was of great importance to Kazecistan, and indeed, The Republic. The KishNa, flag ship of Red Comet, leader of the entire Kazeci Navy... ((the list is long)) was dispatched for this meting. An anomaly appeared and grew exponentially within the sector. Within seconds it burst, resulting in a brilliant flash of blueish white light. In the distortion's place, the KishNa stood, in all her glory. We have arrived.
OOC: I'll respond tomorrow, its the 4th and I'm a little tipsy.
Welcome to the Gate system, if you kindly following the docking instructions provided we may begin.
A tight beam transmission spears out from the nearest ship, using the FTL communications system most often used in this dimension. The message it carried was part verbal and part information, giving detailed instruction on how the Kazecstani ship was to procede.

OOC: Kazec, remember that you still have to get alliances approved by the Senate. And since am also part of said senate, i'll be joining you.
IC: The Battlecruiser was a re-fit. Most of the weapons had been stripped, replaced by sheilding and diplomatic housing. It was painted in the blues of the Stellar Nations Diplomatic Corps. It meshed out of the Beran system, and an hour later meshed into the Gate system.
[quote]Scellian Base, this is the diplomatic envoy for the Stellar Nations. We are requesting premission to land near your base.[/quote[

ooc: All members(citizen or not) may post whatever they want on NS as long as it doesn't display hostility, provoke it from others, or suggest it's possibility. This includes insults. This law was made by the last senate, including me and Taledonia, so that we could post friendly relations with others without all of the red tape. I assumed that you would not object to an alliance with this nation who I am friendly with both Icly and oocly.
Ic: The Kazeci ship had received the message from their new allies and had also intercepted one from their old ones. They thought it quite rude for SN not to address them as well, but let it go. In response to Scellia, they sent the following message:
The KishNa was never designed to land, but we will send a fleet of Bullet Transports in its place. These are unarmed 14 man craft.
With that, one of the massive bay doors opened and out poured 15 of these craft, fling at speeds lesser than what they normally use, but fast nonetheless.
As the bullet craft approach a portal opens in the side of the Scellian Fleet Base, a long dark shaft the reaches several kilometers down into the interior of the masive fortress. It is wide enough to fit the Battlecruiser in, but it will be a narrow fit as the Battlecruiser is near the upper limit of the particular tube series size. At the end of the tunnel is a docking port that features just about every imaginable attachment to every type of ship. A bluish haze surrounds the utilities that the SN BC can use, a similar reddish fire surrounds fifteen opening on the way down. The entire tunnel is studded with the docking bays, each able to hold small ships of any type and make.
Stellar Nations Battlecruiser, please enter the opened portal and make your way to the far end. After 25.67 kilometers you will encounter a docking port with the appropriate attachments highlighted in blue, please dock and send your diplomatic party with the personnel present to greet you.
KishNa, it was unnessesary to send unarmed ships unless that was most convenient. If it is customary your offiicers may retain their weapons when aboard our Base thought we do request that all powered armor and heavy weapons be left aboard your own craft. If you will enter the opened portal you will find fifteen docking bays rimmed in red, please land in these and your groups will be greeted.

Ic: Acknowledged. BTs are the only ship we have that is suitable for this purpose. The Diplomats will be caring staffs; these are both hand-to-hand weapons as well as Zat cannons. These are for the ceremonial value only, and will not be used in anger. The Fifteen craft landed and unloaded their occupants. 12 diplomats in the traditional earthen robes and 168 guards in full dress uniform. All bore the intricately carved white silver staffs.
Each of the fifteen bullets is met by a single kitten, who stately walks up to each ship and asks the occupants to follow them. Each one then about faces and begins to walk down the cooridor that leads to each ship. The Kazecstani delegation is reunited in a massive semispherical chamber, 500m in diameter and over 200m tall.
The chambers walls were made of a coruscating blue crystal speckled with crimson flakes that pulsed intermittantly creating beautiful patterns along the walls. At the very center is a pearly silver column of incandescent light, 50m up at the point where the light fades into the background rests a platinum sphere. Constantly shifting designs worked in orange neon writhe about the surface, though if one tries to concentrate on a specific spot the ever elusive patterns simply slip away.
As soon as the diplomats arrived they began to gently fall upward, and were soon surrounded in their own incandescent columns of golden light until they ascended to the same level as the platinum sphere. The each diplomat was spaced equally far from both the Scellian and each other, forming a ring around the Scellian diplomat. The ceremonial guards were lifted, through much more slowly, up in their own columns of light, a flickering red whose intensity was much less then that of either the Kazecstani diplomats or the Scellian. The rose to positions much nearer to the side of the chamber, only a few meters from the edge and several meters down from the diplomats and the Scellian.
"Welcome, and cheerful greeting. We have forseen the nessecity to create a place for the conduction of diplomacy, this is our response. We will now wait for your friends from Stellar Nations to arrive, they are being summoned now."
The sphere spoke in a multitonal voice, breathing rather then speaking the words. Even the small amount speech given so far lent the impression of millions if not billions of beings speaking with one voice, and the impression of mental power that went with it. The kittens that had escorted the Kazecstani delegation into the chamber turned around and headed out to escort in the SN party.

ooc: Cute kittens!
Ic: "We will wait." The Kazeci personnel were finding his whole floating thing to be quite amusing, though they tried to hide it.

OOC: Kazec, what about the Alliance law? that is the one i was referring to.
IC: The Battlecruiser, the largest vehicle able to land, followed the instructions. After docking, a hatch opened, and a dozen people emerged. Two were H'Rec, five were Treth, three Human, one was a Treth-Human Cross, and the other was a Simiarion.
The Stellar Nations delagation is met by three kittens, each politely asks that they be followed. A similar process occurs once the Stellar Nations party reaches the chamber, however the columns of light that ascend with them are a brassy bronze instead of deep toned gold or shimmering silver. The columns rearrange themselves as the Stellar Nations party rises, to forms a more dense circle around the Scellian with the Kazeci on one side and the Stellar Nation people on the other. Instead of leaving this time the kittens also ascend, to form an equilateral triangle around the Scellian, each one riding a column of pure white light. The multitonal vioce speaks again,
"We now may begin."
OOC: Short on time, will post more later.

ooc: True, I should have technically run this through the senate first, but I knew you would not object and time for me is short.
Ic: "Welcome, fellow Republic members."
As the Kazeci speaks the light shimmers and dances around him in pattern with his words creating an effect upon his body similar to light reflected off moving water.
"We thank you for our inclusion in your Republic. The New Empire of Scellia is always looking forward to opening and maintaining good relations with like minded nations. It is good to see that aggression and expansion have not completely taken this Dimension, that some nations still stick to the ideals of soft power and cultural domination rather then military might."

"As we welcome you beside us as equals." The lead Kazeci said with a kind voice.
Another Kazeci jumped in with the more direct and poorly timed statement, "Yes, welcome, unfortunately there are still those kinds of nations in this Dimension and we must be able to defend our selves and our beliefs."
The first responded with the flick of a wrist and silenced him saying, "We are honored to have others who think as we do by our side."
"We find much difference in defense of oneself and the aggressive expansionism that many nations represent. However I believe the reason we are here is to sign this..."
A document phases into existance, outlining the joining of the Scellian Empire to the Republic. It contains the multitude of flowery phrases and binding promises found in that sort of document, all of which is very straightforward. For the rest of the delegates a surrogate copy appears, however they are only holograms.

The Kazeci sings the document with a smile.
Ic: Are you joining the Republic or just becoming an ally? If you are joining, you may wish to know that we are a region.
OOC: If I have to move to the region to join the Republic I'm becoming an ally, if I can stay where I am I'll join.

ooc: The way we are set up, you are an ally. I think it might be better to have membership in the region your choice, but that will take time to change, if it does.
OOC: OK, I guess I'm an ally then.

ooc: Would you be interested in an embassy in our forums? You would have your own area in which to post official embassy stuff and could participate in other things that we do there.
Ic: "A step in the right direction." Were his first words after singing.
"May this lead to mutual peace and prosperity between our two peoples." came the voice of a second.
Every Kazeci in the room, guards included, responded in unison, "So say we all."
