R-27 Medium range air to air missile (http://www.military.cz/russia/air/weapons/rockets/aam/r27/R-27R_1.jpg)

The R-27 is a medium-range air-to-air missile, designated as AA-10 "Alamo" with NATO countries. This missile was designed for the Soviet Union's forth-generation fighters such as the MiG-29 and Su-27 featuring exceptional maneuverability replacing in service MiG-23 fighters armed with the R-23 missiles. Furthermore this missile is carried by improved versions of the MiG-21, MiG-23 and MiG-25. This missile was also designed as a counterweight for the United States F-15 fighters armed with the AIM-7F "Sparrow" missiles. Suggestions of the new missile conception were made in 1972 - 1973 and at the end of 1973 development of this missile begins. There were made two competeting projects by "Molniya" and "Vympel" design bureaus and early in the 1980s the "Vympel" design was selected for further development. Series production of the R-27 began in 1986. The R-27 missiles are intended to intercept and defeat aircraft and helicopters of all types, unmanned reconnaissance aircraft and cruise missiles under active enemy electronic jamming, counteractions and maneuvering. The R-27 missiles have a modular design, thus missile can be easily converted from semi-active radarhoming to infrared just replacing the seeker module. Furthermore such design allowed to use the same missile both with the MiG-29 light frontline fighter and mounting extended range module - with the Su-27 long-range interceptor.

The R-73 short-range air-to-air missile was developed by "Molniya" (recently the special design bureau Nr.4) design bureau. It's team at the beginning of the 1970s developed the R-60 missile and the R-73 was intended to replace it. It is known as the AA-11 "Archer" with NATO countries. Missile features a wide angle infrared seeker and extreme maneuverability. The R-73 is completed with a vectored trust system to make very tight turns. It's minimum range of fire is 0.3 km and missile is intended as a dogfight weapon in close air combats. Furthermore the R-73 is considered to be the most dangerous weapon system in close visual combat.

The R-77 is a modern medium-range air-to-air missile. It was developed by "Vympel" design bureau since 1980s and entered service with Russian army in 1994. It is believed that it will be the standard Russian fighter aircraft missile. NATO countries designated it as the AA-12 "Adder". has an active radarhoming seeker and alike the R-27 medium-range missile it is guided to a certain point with the help of a data link. But then it uses an onboard radar to illuminate the target and steers towards it. Similar to the AIM-120 AMRAAM it gives the pilot a certain "fire and forget" capability. One more interesting detail is that it's NATO unofficial designation is "AMRAAMski". Missile has a range of fire in 0.5 - 150 kilometers.

It can be used by surface ships and motor boats, costal reconnaissance and strike systems, naval helicopters and aircraft. Missile has subsonic flight speed. It is propelled by the main turbojet engine and a solid-propellant booster. An internal guidance system controls missile in flight and leads out onto assumed target location. When missile reaches target location, it is guided by the signals of jamproof active radar. Target is defeated by penetration of high-explosive fragmentation warhead. Missile's body is made of aluminum alloys. To enhance the elements of concealment and surprise attack and improve the ability to withstand the fire opposition of the ships under attack, the Kh-35 missile possesses the lowest possible flight trajectory with an altitude in 10-15 meters over the sea. Cruise missile also has a small reflection surface. The long-range firing capability increases the survivability of carriers. Ground equipment complex is intended to prepare missiles for use, handle and maintain them. The complex includes an automated missile test system, a set of equipment for preparation of missiles, their repair and maintenance, a set of load handling facilities, transporting trolleys, fuel and air servicers, transport trucks and a crane truck, etc. The ground equipment complex is set up on the coast forming an autonomous maintenance area for missiles and their launching transporting containers.

RS-12M ballistic missile (http://www.aeronautics.ru/archive/wmd/ballistic/ballistic/ss25_001.jpg)

In terms of military and technical aspects the “Topol” missile system is almost perfect. This powerful and mobile creation of the human mind and hands impresses even in photographs. In off-road marching or deployment in a combat position under a camouflage net, in readiness to instantly and precisely deliver an attack against a target, located even on another continent, this system can beneficially influence world stability owing to its existence. One should know above all that Russia has a sufficient number of nuclear-missile systems capable, if required, of quickly dispers- ing and hiding, without losing the centralized controllability in any situation, and then delivering in a few seconds an attack of such power and accuracy that no target will be able to withstand it. An extraordinary capability to quickly travel off roads is realized in these enormous vehicles, and their safety, reliable and simple operation are maintained at a level typical of Russian weaponry. The optimum variant, found by designers, combining the automation of processes, associated with execution of a combat mission, with human participation, ensures the high combat and operational effectiveness of the missile system. In short, to date the “Topol” missile system is the most optimum strategic missile system for Russia.

[OOC: Woot, very nice storefront for a newbie. Keep up the good work! Although next time when you C+P missiles remove the nation name <.< >.> you've got Russia mentioned there quite often]

The Free Democratic Navy is wondering whether Willink Missile Storefront would be interested in selling some of our own Naval based missiles and splitting the profit 50/50.
Here are two of our designs.

Hogsweatian Design
SS-N-50 RAMJET "Plunger"
The SS-N-50 "Plunger" by Foreign designation is a weapon system designed to hit capital ships. It can be fired from some VLS systems and some missile tubes. We advise that if the "Plunger" is used it is used on converted tubes/VLS. The SS-N-50 RAMJET was designed with a call for our cruisers and heavy destroyers to be able to take out or severely damage enemy vessels quite larger than them with relative ease by firing the long and thin missile in the air and have it drop down onto the enemy ship. This is just one of the features the SS-N-50 uses to make sure it is not shot down before hitting it's target. The SS-N-50 is still in widse use with the FDN on all of our ships today.

Range: 1,450 km[/b]
Warhead weight: 1.5 tonnes, conventional
Guidance: Internal, radiolocated
Precision: Deadly
Price: 25 million each

Hogsweatian Design
SS-N-45 "Hatchet"
The SS-N-45 "Hatchet" by Foreign designation is a weapon system designed to hit to a vessel of destroyer or cruiser size and do severe damage. The SS-N-45 is a sea skimmer, meaning it skims the sealine in an attempt to hide it's presence and make CIWS systems and other defensive measures job harder. The SS-N-45 can be launched by a harpoon sized tube or by nearly all VLS. The SS-N-45 is not to be used for attacking capital ships because of it's low penetration.

Range: 600km [/b]
Warhead weight: 500 kilograms conventional
Guidance: Internal, radiolocated
Precision: Deadly
Price: 15 million each
