Verghastan troops on exercise in northern Urelia, using the StG88M3. Verghastan supplies of this weapon - now outclassed by the Model 4 - have now been relegated to training use only.

The Sturmgewehr 1988 Model 4, and Sturmgewehr 2005 Model 2 are soon going to be replaced by the Sturmgewehr 2008 Model 1 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=9628716). This will be the standard arm for all infantrymen.
Currently, the only Legion armed with the StG2008M1 is the 1st 'Republikanischer Schutz'.

ORGANISATION

Fire Team - An infantry formation, consisting of an NCO and four Soldat. Total 5 men.

Section - An infantry formation, consisting of two Fire Teams, commanded by a Feldwebel. Total 10 men.

Platoon - An infantry formation, consisting of three Sections, jointly commanded by an Oberfeldwebel and a Leutnant. Total 32 men.

Company - An infantry formation, consisting of three Platoons and one Command Section, jointly commanded by a Hauptmann and a Major. Total 108 men.

-Rifle Company - An infantry Company, standard equipment. One of four in each Battalion.

-Mortar Company - An infantry Company, each squad's MG98M2/MG05M1 exchanged for G90 81mm mortar. One per Battalion.

Battalion - An infantry formation, consisting of four Rifle Companies, one Mortar Company and one Command Section, comanded by an Oberstleutnant. Total 551 men.

Legion - A military formation, consisting of nine Infantry Battalions and three Panzer Squadrons, commanded by an Oberst. Total 4,959 Infantrymen, 51 Panzer XI MBTs and 12 Panzer VII Jagdpanzers. Some changes may apply to specialist formations.

Troop - An armoured formation, consisting of four Panzer XI MBTs, one Panzer VII Jagdpanzer, and one command Panzer XI MBT, commanded by a Hauptmann. Total 5 Panzer XI MBTs, 1 Panzer VII Jagdpanzer.

Squadron - An armoured formation, consisting of three Panzer Troops, commanded by a Major in a command Panzer XI MBT. Total 17 Panzer XI MBTs and 3 Panzer VII Jagdpanzers.
