Gossainia

Message to the nations of Europe,
Due to Lord Breadon's oppressive and despotic rule and his failure to relinquish power as promised, in the interests of the people of Gossainia, my party and I have ousted the dictators. We are now embarking upon the creation of a true people’s republic, free of the persecution and discrimination that my comrades have had to suffer for generations. My Government requests assistance in suppressing counter-revolutionaries and those bent on subjugating the workers of this nation again.
Michael Philips, Chairman of the Gossainian People’s Marxist Party
As Chairman Philips was preparing this communique, the former Supreme Leader of Gossainia, Reich Marshal Lord Breadon, OSA, DSM, SC, WC, LSM, Chief of the General Staff and the members of his Military Executive Council were being executed.
The nation's aristocrats, middle and upper classes attempted to flee for thier lives, fearing they should suffer the same fate as the government. However, the People's Revolutionary Guard: bitter and vengeful peasants, workers and political prisoners, had closed the borders and were now rounding up anyone trying to leave the country and confiscating the few but valuable possessions they had brought.
