Radio Broadcast Issued in the Imperial Capital of Corva
"We, His Imperial Majesty Josef III, by grace of God Emperor of all Tharra and its colonies, Most Catholic Monarch, etc. etc. etc. do officially make decleration that our imperial will is to end this isolation that we have been imposing as policy since the Restoration. In accordance, we have issued an Imperial Decree to officiate such. Rejoice, my subjects, for a new age has dawned."
"We Interupt this Program for a Breaking News Report"
The young news announcer cleared her throat. Gently, she ran a hand through her honey brown hair, one of her nervous and ill liked habits. Then, summoning up all of her courage, she smiled and began the broadcast that would put her in the history books.
"Good mourning, and welcome, this is Renate Eneid with news channel 7. Today is perhaps one of the most important of the centuary. His Imperial Majesty Emperor Josef III has officially issued a proclamation that ends our nation's isolationist policy. That's right, The Empire will now be opened up to the world, for the better.
"In a press conference given today, the Prime Minister cited that the rising economy and living standards were prime reasons to begin relations with other nations. He also stressed that the policy of isolation was outdated, and a last remnant of the policies of the communist people's republic, before the Restoration of the Monarchy and the Empire almost a centuary ago."

"...and thus, in accordance with our new policy, we urge all foreign governments to establish embassies in our most glorious of nations. We hope that all international relations are improved. We awaite the replies of the international community. Thank you and good night"
The tall figure of Emperor Josef III finally finished his speech. He just stood there, drinking in the moment, and allowing the assembled press and government officials to soak in his might and dignity, to see him in full glory, dressed a naval captain's uniform, wearing all of the orders and ribbons of the Empire.
A thunderous roar of applause, almost deafening, was the reply he was searching for, and it readily came. A herald at arms quickly called out:
"His Imperial Majesty shall retire."
Moments later, the Emperor had left. Accompanied by his Imperial Guards, he climbed into the limosene, painted in the imperial colors of silver and black. Sighing, he whispered "and so it begins..."
