The following nations are participants in this RP:

El Caudillo (role-playing myself as well as some Angolan rebels)
The Real ALM (supporting UNITA)
Jensai (supporting FNLA)
Halberdgardia (supporting FNLA)
Kordo (role-playing as the MPLA)
Van Luxemburg (supporting FLEC)
West Tennessee (supporting FLEC)

Now, for a brief nutshell:

UNITA, FNLA, and MPLA are all fighting El Caudillo and each other for Angola's independence. FLEC is fighting for Cabinda's independence (Cabinda is a province of Angola that's separated from the other provinces by the Democratic Republic of the Congo), so FLEC is viewed as an enemy by both the first three groups as well as El Caudillo.

The aforesaid groups' political ideologies are as follows:

1.UNITA (originally Maoist, now anti-communist)
2.FNLA (capitalist, anti-communist)
3.MPLA (communist)
4.FLEC (no clear political ideology; no interest in Angola as a whole, just the province of Cabinda)

I hope everyone enjoys this RP.}

IC:

Introduction

For centuries, the Portuguese had ruled the impoverished, geologically rich southern African nation of Angola, a country with vast oil reserves and an abundance of invaluable minerals. In the 1960s, a guerrilla war began, brewed by the FNLA, UNITA, and MPLA, all united in their opposition to Portuguese colonialism, all deeply divided by tribal and political issues. Each vied to control an independent Angola. The Portuguese fought a long, hard war that took an enormous toll on both Portugal's treasury and on the lives of young Portuguese men. There seemed to be no end in sight, a true quagmire. However, following a left-wing coup in 1974, the new quasi-communist government of Portugal negotiated the independence of Angola and Mozambique, handing them over to the Soviet-aligned, Marxist MPLA and FRELIMO, respectively. Both countries erupted into civil war. Hundreds of thousands were killed, millions were displaced, as havoc was wrought in this strategic part of the globe. Finally, just a few years after El Caudillo was formed, the El Caudillan military intervened, killed the Marxists, disarmed the other rebel forces, and pacified the country. Food, medicine, and books were used to combat famine, disease, and illiteracy. It was a winning battle; within 5 years, Angola and Mozambique had a literacy rate of over 85%, only 15% of their populations below poverty line, and a significantly lower infant mortality rate. The El Caudillan government expected gratitude; what they got was a new insurgency, launched by the three previously mentioned groups as well as another group that had played a minor but pivotal role in the previous war, the FLEC, which had no interested in Angola as a whole, only the independence of Cabinda province. Once again, Angola became hell on Earth, as a war far more devastating, brutal, and chaotic than all those before it, erupted into a conflict beyond imagination...

MPLA Leader Alexandre Trotsky, rumored illegitimate child of an African servant girl and Leon Trotsky (a rumor Alexandre himself promoted), looked at the map and various other papers in front of him. In the seventies, Alexandre had been posed to take the leadership role of the MPLA and with it, Angola itself. However, he had been young and brash, and his premature move only facilitated the attacks by other rebellious factions, and eventually the El Caudillo invasion.

But his fate changed along with the government. During the fighting against El Caudillo and the ealier rebellion, he earned the nickname ‘o touro’ or ‘the bull’ for his brutal but brilliant tactics. He had fought even as almost all his compatriots surrendered their arms and took up civilian life, or in some cases, government positions. Alexandre would spend the next several years of El Caudillo rule leading the MPLA’s struggle, one that was reduced to the terrorist actions of a few dozen men at most.

Yet it was these men who now commanded his armies, his freedom fighters. While some of his old friends finally saw the logic and attempted to re-join the MPLA, but Alexandre had them brutally executed; by cutting out their tongs and leaving them tied to a post in a clearing in the forest. There they died, in Alexandre's mind, paying for their betrayal of the MPLA. Even now, Alexandre only excepted new members, members he and his most long-term and most loyal followers treated with much deserved disgust, because they were necessary to establish the true communist government in Angola.

In this war, the MPLA would not take prisoners. It was join the MPLA or die.

ooc: as you can tell, Alexandre Trotsky is a vicious, cruel, and slightly crazy leader. He is a brilliant leader, though his only real experience is in insurgency-type fighting. He also has developed a sort of cult following, including a rich series of legends, most of which revolve around his birth (his supposed father) and his infailablity in battle. Most of his top followers believe in this cult of personality so strongly that they often continue with Alexandre’s orders, ignoring changing circumstances on the battlefield, which in turn leads to their defeat.

The Holy Empire of Shazbotdom observed the area for a while before deciding that they would help. With a swift stroke of a pen, the Emporer signed papers initiating military aid to the freedom fighters in Angola. This will be the first fighting force that the Holy Empire dispatches to the region and will contain regions controlled by the freedom fighters.

The telegram was received in the wee hours local (Memphis) time. The watch officer at the communications hub of West Tennessee was baffled.

Where the heck is Cabinda?

Hours later, in the Capitol of Jackson, President York awoke to find the telegram on top of his morning intelligence briefing. As was the Presidents custom, he read the telegram aloud to his foggy eyed staff.

To President York from the people of Cabinda

Where the heck is Cabinda? the president questioned. Ignoring his Foreign Department aid he continued

We appeal to the freedom loving people of the Confederacy of West Tennessee for help. We are not engaged in a war of aggression like the other factions in Angola.

Oh, Angola. Again, ignoring the aid, the President picked up.

We humbly beseech you for defensive support against a non-elected regime. We only ask for our right to decide who governs us. The people have spoken that they want an independent Cabinda. Sincerely the people and FLEC leadership.

Well the President finaly spoke after a long pause, what do you think? His gaze directed toward his foreign and military advisors. It was the domestic advisor that spoke up first though.

Mr. President he began, it would look good to support those in need who only want their freedom..

The military aid was next to speak. While we only have a small military, we face no threats on our continent. It might be a wise decision to support the FLEC at this time.

The foreign aid, sensing it was his turn to speak, opened his mouth but was promptly cut off yet again. President York had decided. Mount up the troops. I want one infantry brigade with armor and artillery support sent to Africa. Though most of the troops can be sent on our transport you can use some of the funding to use commercial airliners to fly over the rest. I’d like to talk to the naval and army commanders being sent before they embark to stress the defensive nature of their mission. We have a lot of work to do, so lets get going.

A few hours later the ships of the Confederacy of West Tennessee were being loaded and troops prepping to leave. They wouldn’t get underway until the next day, but as the President said, there was work to be done. A public statement announcing Tennessee’s involvement would be read by 17:00 local time.

The force to be sent was large by the small countries standard. Almost 6000 infantry, 10 tanks, 30 APCs, 15 armored recon vehicles, 10 anti-tank/infantry support vehicles and 20 mobile artillery guns. They would sail with almost the entire West Tennessee navy.

Benguela Province, Angola

General Joaquim Caetano led a brigade of over 5,000 troops, more than 40% of them non-El Caudillan (1,500 were native Angolans, about 300 were former Rhodesian Selous scouts, 50 were former Koevoet officers, and the remaining 250 were mercenaries), through the savannah of Benguela province, in search of MPLA soldiers. While the government at home had a definite interest in seeing each rebel group defeated, the order was to concentrate most heavily on defeating the MPLA first, then taking care of the others. The MPLA showed remarkable brutality toward non-sympathetic civilians; General Caetano's forces had come across hundreds of women with their breasts cut off, pregnant women eviscerated with the fetuses pulled out, decapitated children, people cut in half lengthways in sawmills {OOC: In real life, these are examples of what the real MPLA did to their enemies}, among atrocities too gruesome to describe. Fortunately for the El Caudillans, all of the provinces where the MPLA was in control bordered each other; they were not separated by rival territory like the other factions' provinces were. Therefore, once all the MPLA provinces were in El Caudillan hands, they would have a huge chunk of territory from which to spring invasions into both UNITA and FNLA territory at once. The El Caudillan forces wasted no time in getting to work. Drawbridges were dismantled. Roads were mined. The front entrances of huts belonging to MPLA sympathizers were booby-trapped. Hopefully soon, the EC soldiers would encounter some MPLA soldiers head-on. Then the real fighting could begin.

"Mr. President, we've recieved a communique from a rebel group known as FNLA. They are fighting for independence from...El Caudillo. They're in a region known as 'Angola'. They are attempting to set up a democratic, capitalist government."

Adderson nodded, taking in the information, "What do our latest intelligence reports say about the area?"

"Well sir, there are two other independence groups fighting gor independence in the area. One is Marxist and the other is anti-communist, but we believe that FNLA is the best bet for the region.... and we have recieved word that El Caudillo is deploying troops."

The president considered for a moment, leaning back into his chair. He considered the situation for a few moments, wondering if what he was about to do would be the right thing. Finally he spoke:

"Contact the leaders of the FNLA. Tell them we will support them in their bid for independence. Began shipments of medical supplies, weapons, and food to them and deploy some advisors to help them learn how to use the weapons. One of the provinces under thier control is right on the coast, so we should have no problem. We need to do this covertly at the moment. We can't risk war with Caudillo. Once FNLA gains more power we will send in the troops at their request."

"Yes, sir!"

18 Hours Later

An unmarked frieghter slips out of port, bound for Angola. In the hold crates holding SIG assualt rifles, mortars, light machine guns, and rüstungsmörders, Jensai anti-tank rocket launchers. Other crates hold military rations, medic kist, medicine, and other medical supplies. Also on board are several passengers in military dress.

Unseen beneath the waves, a Jensai attack sub shadows the frieghter, watching and listening for trouble.

The Grand Duke's Palace, Rue de la Grand-Duchy 1, Luxembourg, capital of Van Luxemburg, 30th of June 2005

The Grand Duke had it's breakfast in silence. several advisors from different instances sat around him. on the wall there was a map, a map of Angola.

"So what you mean is, that our Agent in Cabinda reported that the FLEC wants to set up an independent state?" The Grand Duke asked his Van Luxemburg Intelligence Agency officer.
"Yes sir, He wants to know what to do" the officer replied.
The Grand Duke was thinking. you could see it on his face.
"OK, I've got Twenty million here" The Grand Duke walked to a little cabinet, and grabbed a briefcase. "Let him buy a Nice mansion, with a lot of land around it. That will be our Base for the Time being."
"Ok sir, Thank you."
"No Problem, okay Argennont, what have we got for this operation?"
The General of the Van Luxemburg Armed Forces stood up and walked towards a Laptop with a Beamer connected to it. He fired up the Laptop and the Logo of the Van Luxemburg Armed Forces appeared.
"We will send 1st Spec-ops in, 1,000 highly trained men, they can be based at the mansion. 11th Armoured has been stripped from their AMX-40's, they don't live up to our very high expectations. this doesn't mean they're bad, they're quite good actually. 1,000 will be send to the mansion to be taken over by the FLEC. this aswell as 10,000 old FAMAS F1 weapons, 20,000 Colt M1911 .45's and 500 brandnew Eryx AT launchers. RenaultVL has promised 1000 Kerax 6x6 trucks for them."
"Excellent choice, I will donate 2 billion to the good cause." The Grand Duke replied, one of the Richest men on Earth.
The Government attendant stood up, he coughed and got a paper out of his pocket.
"The Goverment of Van Luxemburg has promised Humanitarian help and will try to feed the FLEC with Food and Anything else they need."
The Grand Duke looked at his General.
"How can this all be transported? It can't go by Air, it's too risky, isn't it?"
"Believe me, it can, We'll send twenty A400M aircraft towards the Mansion to transport the weapons and aid. The Tanks and Trucks will go by military Ro-Ro."
"The El Caudillians will immediately see we're helping the FLEC!"
The Shocked Government attendant said.
"No, it will be send to Congo, and it will reach the Mansion by A400M, cause the 20 A400M's will be on standby there."
"OK, case closed, let me eat!" the Grand Duke said.

And so were the Weapons on their way.

5 days later

VLIA Officer Arennault walked through the Mansion. he had control over this mansion, a mansion where 1,000 Van Luxemburgian spec-ops were stationed.
a few hours ago, the AMX-40 MBT's arrived. so did the Trucks. weapons arrived a few days earlier by aircraft. He walked towards his office, the place from where he would lead this operation together with several other commanders.
"When are the FLEC commanders arriving?"
"They said it very vague, but it should be today or tomorrow." his secretary answered with a boring accent.
he walked on, through the building. when he arrived at the Medical post, he saw several men laying down on brancards. it seemed they had a snakebite.
He walked out of the building into the morning sun. it was early in the morning, and it wasn't very warm yet, it was about 24 degrees celsius.
Suddenly three shots could be heared, and Arennault dived. several soldiers were laughing at him, but he didn't know why, until he saw the small sign, indicating that this was a training area. He stood up again, cleared his uniform from dust and walked on. a Puma helicopter landed and took a few soldiers aboard, probably to go on patrol. another landed and refueled, it had just finished it's patrol. when he was looking at this, he could hear his walkietalkie.
"Command to Arennault, we've got sattelite contact with VLS Cassis,
aircraftcarrier from the Perpignan class"
"Yup I'm coming"

5 minutes later he arrived at the office, where a large videoscreen was deployed. the face of Admiral Ouestes, commander of 2nd Naval rapid deployment, could be seen.
" Commander Arennault? ah, it's a pleasure to see you."
"The pleasure is mine, Admiral" Arennault responded.
"I've been sent by the ministry of Defense, I must provide Air and Artillery support with my ships"
"With how many ships are you?"
"Ten. 1 aircraftcarrier from the Perpignan class, 1 helicoptercarrier from the Montpellier class, 1 Verdun AA destroyer, 2 Le Havre cruisers, 2 Bordeaux destroyers, 1 Nimes Patrol frigate and 2 Le Triomphant ballistic Missile Subs, all stealth, following latest Van Luxemburg doctrines."
"OK, we'll contact you when we need you" arennault pressed a button and the video screen disappeared.

Somewhere in West Virginia-

Kimiko A. Moua perused the documents and the internet news reports flowing out of Angola. Apparently, three factions were contesting the El Caudillan government for command of the land.

She smiled....she had heard of the El Caudillan government's moves to ban nigh near any form of entertainment, including anime. This she hated. Still, she was beginning to seem soft-Karl was chastising her not but five days ago for not "carrying out the glorious Jihad," as he said. She was making too many threats, and not acting on them.

This time, the pattern would be reversed. RALM fighters would go in, unannounced, with publicity after a terror attack had been staged. Then, everybody would know, the RALM was back in business.

First, she had to get people in. Mikey Gincarelli had plans to fly some M16's and Colt Commandos to UNITA, along with heavier stuff like mortars and old Soviet RPG-7Vs and even SMAWs. Jake Featherston could send a team of Lighthorses under the command of Linda Stuart; she had distinguished herself in Botswana before disturbances in West Virginia required their withdrawal. And she could send agents in to do the nasty stuff.

She sent a secret telegram to the UNITA Forces:

TO: UNITA C-in-C

I have heard of your struggle to free Angola from the tyrannical El Caudillans and the Marxist rascals in your midst. Might I offer guns and men to aid you?

Offices of the DCI, The Halberdgardian Central Intelligence Agency Compound, Somewhere in Halberdgardia, 2231 Zulu

DCI Donovan Whitling looked at his DDCI sitting in front of him with a dubious look.

"Another freedom-fighters movement? How many goddamned revolutions do you want to get us into, Hatcher?" Whitling's voice had a razor-edge to it.

Dominic Hatcher recoiled slightly. "Well, sir, the civil war in Monitgnac is winding down, and our agents there are in a prime position to install the democratic government..."

"That's the only goddamned reason I'm going to support this FNLA of yours. Unlike the Guadalombian rebels, not only do these guys look like they have a chance, but they're looking for a better government for their people, which is more than can be said about those druggies in Guadalombia."

"Deployment strength, sir? Intelligence puts FNLA strength at 7,500 men. We're not sure if they have any other foreign strength or not."

Whitling thought about it for a brief second. "Get authorization from SOCOM to send a Special Forces B-Detachment. That'll give us three A-Detachments and then whatever of our agents we deploy. Say, a dozen. MILCOM can reinforce those boys with troops if things come to blows down there, but for now, this is black. Also, get in contact with our usual arms-dealer friends, and get them to send some weapons to our FNLA buddies. We'll take the fight to the El Caudillian bastards first, then we deal with any of the other hostile rebel groups."

"Yessir."

The Marine Corps Air Division rushes all over to prep the 30 AC-01's and the 30 AC-02's for take-off. The battalion of troops that was orders into the battle arrived earlier in the day and had their items loaded up into the aircraft. There were no ground vehicles going to be used in this operation at this point in time. It will be a possibility of the vehicles being brought into play at a moments notice if the Emporer decides it. Parliment released a statement of the leadership of all the Marine Corps division earlier today stating the Empire's intent to help a nation overthrow a tyranical regeme and replace it with one that would help the people.

The Marines started to get into their designated AC-01's and AC-02's. Weapons were primed for combat as the aircraft began pre-flight ignition sequences. Echo 324 was the lead aircraft in this operation. The aircraft had orders to fly below the radar deck to try and conserve fuel. It would take T Minus 19 hours to reach the targeted drop off zone.

The marines finished loading up into their aircraft and the pilots radioed the air control towers that they were ready to take off. The AC-01's started their vertial takeoff routines while the AC-02's used the runways to take off. Within 15 minutes all the aircraft were on their way to the nation of Angola to assist the civilians.

Thank you for your information, we are planning to attack them as fast as possible.

Commander Arennault, VLFAC

5 hours later

Twenty Rafale-M Multirole aircraft took off from the VLS Cassis, preparing to attack the El Caudillian positions. at the same moment, 6 Sea Tiger Attack helicopters took off from the VLS Grau-Du-Roi, The Helicopter Carrier from 2nd Naval Rapid Deployment. heading: The Cabinda-Congolese border.

"Rafale-Leader to Tigre-Leader, ETA status?"
"ETA 20 mins, Tigre-leader out."
"Roger, starting runs"

The First group of Three Rafale-M multiroles came down from the sky, dropping their precious load, which caused an Inferno in the El Caudillian camp. Then, group after group, they came down from the Sky, out of the clouds, which had hidden them.

The Jungle, 500m north of the El Caudillian camp.

600 Marines, also known as Spec-ops, ran through the jungle, nearing the El Caudillian camp. they will have Air and artillery support, the commander said.
When the Rafale-M's couldn't be heard, A Cruise missile shelling began, it was only short, but Ten cruise missiles had hit the El Caudillian camp hard.
shortly after that, The Marines stormed in, killing every person which came into their way.

Soon, ten C-17's began flying high into the atmosphere over Niambe Province. Eventually, the 250 Lighthorses onboard all began to make HALO drops, as they all lept out, clad in HALO pressurized jumpsuits. Their supplies were parachuted with them.....

Eventually, after reaching a safe altitude, they opened their parachutes, and floated safely to Earth. There, they unpacked their wargear, and half began to move to make contact with existing Horse units in the area, who had escorted the first shipment. Linda Stuart was busy coordinating their movements on secure frequencies, so they managed to stay together....

..the other half, meanwhile, began to move to secure airstrips to allow for more supplies to flow to UNITA. Any terrain that semed like a prime candidate for a bush airstrip or any existing airstrip was fortified, and ringed with Claymores and AP and AT mines. Certain areas in the perimeters were open, so that UNITA forces could get their stuff; these were guarded by MG and Mortar nests. They moved in and out, trying to avoid El Caudillan patrols; but inevitably, as they assaulted the enemy, they were forced to use their rifles and Mortars on them.....

Meanwhile, more guns and ammo flew into Stuart's airstrip, carried by KSC Shipping C-130s, C-54s, and Cessnas and Pipers of all shapes and sizes.

-------

To add to this, several men drove into the capital of Cuanza Sul. These men looked like normal businessmen, agents of the KSC Corporation, but in reality, they were Tokko agents. It had been a while since they had anybody new to cut their teeth on; this was a welcome challenge.

They seemed innocent enough; they knew that El Caudillan troops would be holding this place down, so they didn't bring in any explosives or chemicals with them. However, they vowed to use other methods, like good old fashioned kidnapping. The men had knives on them, and Beretta Tomcats, but their corporate status ensured that they would need such things. Hopefully, they could convince the authorities about that.

They drove to a ratty old hotel, and parked their Land Rover in the lot. Then, they got out, and checked in. From then on in, they began their plans....

The camp burst into an orange fireball upon being struck by the missiles. Several men were drowned in a sea of flames which swallowed their flesh and charred their bones black. The sound and odor of roasting flesh was horrifying. Hundreds of Van Luxemburgian Marines stormed the camp in an all-out, no-holds-barred blitzkrieg that completely caught the El Caudillans off guard.

"Shoot! There's too many 'em!"

"Retreat, retreat!"

Most of the men, however, refused to retreat. They pounded away at the attackers with howitzers and heavy artillery, while strafing with machine-guns and lobbing hand grenades. Bloody corpses littered the landscape. The sound of bullets being exchanged drowned out the horrified screams of the wounded. It quickly become a gore-soaked slaughterhouse, as dozens of men fell dead, their bodies full of bullet holes. The El Caudillans were outnumbered, but they would not give up without a fight.

The first Tennessee volunteers to arrive were aboard civilian aircraft. Approximately 300 troops and support personnel arrived in the capitol city of Cabinda. They secured the necessary port facilities for offloading the troops and weapons.

At 0300 local time the next morning the first of the troop ships arrived. The first group of two thousand men unloaded. By 0700 they were on their way to the border city of Iema. For the rest of the day unloading continued. Tanks and infantry rolled off the ships, both military and civilian. Advisors were sent to the headquarters of Fernando Moco to inquire about the availability of support forces on the southern flank.

http://www.cabinda.net/mapa%20Cabinda.gif

By the second morning of Tennessean troops in Cabinda the construction of defenses along the southern border had begun. The units, about 2000 infantry strong each, occupied the towns of Chipita, Iema and Tchinzaze. The Tennessean headquarters was located in the town of Buca, between the capitol and the frontline towns. Armor and support vehicles were dispersed among the front line towns. All of the TAM tanks were sent to Chipita and Imea, as it was the most likely route to the capitol from the south.

While the fortifications were built, the indigenous forces were receiving additional training with the small arms of the Tennessean Army. A select few also received training on the Ontos mobile recoilless rifle system.

Once offloaded the transports, accompanied by the Gephard class PCFG WTS Dyersburg, headed for home. They didn’t know if more forces would be necessary. They didn’t even know if an attack would come at all, but better safe than sorry. The Perry class Memphis and another Gephard class, the Jackson, stayed close to Cabinda port, in hopes of keeping the supply link alive.

All that was left was to await the onslaught. They were to make no offensive movements.

That night, somewhere on the southern plain, a group of soldiers could be heard singing Dixie.

Dozens of miles away from the quickly-erupting Van Luxemburg-El Caudillo conflict, two mammoth Halberdgardian MH-53M Pave Low IV helicopters made their way into FNLA airspace. Their contents? The Halberdgardian SOLE team, consisting of some 57 men: 36 SOF personnel, their nine commanding officers, and a dozen HCIA agents. They would rendezvous with the FNLA command and begin to turn them into a fighting force to be reckoned with.

Major Craig Halloway was the B-Detachment's commander. His HCIA equivalent, Lorenzo Kepplinger, sat beside him on the Pave Low. The two had worked together closely on previous black ops before, and had become close friends over the years.

"You ready for this, Major?" Kepplinger asked him, smiling.

"What do you think, Lorenzo?" Halloway replied, grinning back.

"Seriously, though, Craig, what do you think our chances look like?"

"Oh, come on, Lorenzo, you know I can't tell you that. We have to get on the ground, meet with the FNLA leader, see what his troops look like, and if they've got any other foreign support," Halloway said. He began to tick off things on his fingers. "If their leader is a fanatical would-be dictator, we're fucked. If his 'soldiers' are nothing more than an armed rabble, we're fucked. If we're alone out here, we're marginally fucked."

"'Marginally fucked'? What the hell kind of thing is that to say?" Kepplinger asked, laughing.

"Well, we are SOF. These El Caudillians are about to find out: you don't fuck with a country and get away with it. You don't oppress a people and get away with it. And when we come in to bring democracy to the oppressed, you don't fuck with us."

"De Oppresso Liber," Kepplinger echoed.

"Amen to that, Lorenzo," Halloway said, slowly nodding. "Amen to that."

The Pave Lows sped up imperceptibly, and suddenly, Halloway and Kepplinger could see land. They had reached Zaire. The voice of the Pave Low's pilot cut in on the team members' comm channel.

"Welcome to FNLA territory, folks."

It also attracted 1,600 more RSA SpecOps, who infiltrated the region using the strips and began to prowl around not only Namibe, but Cunene, Haila, and Cuando Cubango as well.

Streaking through the sky in the western most part of the nation, the Pelicans and Garrisons made their final approach to the drop zone. It was a small secluded portion of the nation where there were mostly trees and farm land. The troops were packed into the aircraft well beyond the specifications of the aircraft. Over 20 troops in the pelicans (whe it was designed for 10) and over 70 troops in the Garrisons (When it was only designed for 50) The Pelicans hovered down towards the ground and the marines jumped out onto the ground while the Garrisons slowed down their speed and let the Marines paratroop out in the same vicinity of the Pelican Troops. It was night when the drop was made so the marines used infared eyepieces to keep track of where their plantoons were landing.

Sergent Baker was in charge of the 12th Fire Team of the 1st Company, 5th Division. His team of men was tasked to recon the area on the north side of the landing site. They began by moving along a dirt road that they spotted from the air to what seemed like a small village. They set up an observation point and radioed the information back to command.

Baker: "Command, we've run across what seems like a small town. What are our orders?"

They soon began talking to the camera.

"We are agents of the Real Anime Liberation Movement. We are fighting on behalf of the forces of UNITA, the only legitmate force that deserves to have control of Angola. We have taken one of your men hostage. If you wish to see him alive, you will pay us USD$250,000,000 and withdraw your forces from Naimbe Province. Now, this man has a statement for you."

They thrust a paper into his face, and threatened with a knife to his throat, he began saying:

"I, Private Antonio DaSilva of the El Caudillan Armed Forces, am an agent of a foolish, greedy murderous government that has committed war crimes here in Angola. We have been ordered to kill innocents in our campaign of terror. I urge the people of El Caudillo to leave Angola while they still can, and I urge my family and the government to pay the ransom and do what they ask, so I can live. Thank you."

One of the terrorists then went, "I suggest you do what he says.....that is all."

The tape was then cut, and one of the men went off to deliver the tape in a package, leaving the other two men to guard the soldier under knifepoint.

About several hours later, the tape was then delivered to a mailbox, and then, DaSilva was driven to a thick glade, where his captors soon dug a hole about 6 feet deep, blindfolded him and threw him inside and covered it with brush, before parking over it. His captors then wieghed down the cover with stones and drove off.

Meanwhile.....

The men who had kidnapped the soldier drove around.....they knew that by now, some people would be getting very suspicious, maybe the tape would have been intercepted-who knew these police state types?

They drove up to a small farm. It looked like the occupant of the house was out doing something. So, they unsheathed their knives, and pulled out lockpicks; and proceeded to break into the house.

They began moving silently, and carefully-these bush farmers were armed, obviously to fight off scoundrels like them and to deal with insurgents who were looking for something to eat, and wouldn't take no for an answer. They wandered about the house, and eventually, in the bedroom, they found an AK-47, and some pistols. Good for them. They took the AK and the Ammo, and began to make good their escape.

Then, the farmer's wife came in; she screamed for help. One of the men opened fire with a Nagant revolver he found, he aimed so the weak bullet would get her in one shot. After dealing with the wife, they ran to their auto, and turned it on, driving like mad as the farmer gave chase on an ATV, firing back like it was Grand Theft Auto.

Then, they lost him, and began to make their way to town.....stashing the guns in back, they would look for somebody to drive-by.

The tenacity of their enemies inspired the El Caudillans to adopt the same tenacity. These Lighthorses were indeed formidable foes, but formidable did not mean invincible. They could bleed and die just like anyone else, a fact that was confirmed as more Lighthorses were strafed by machine-gun fire, bombarded with heavy artillery, and blown apart by hand grenades. Still, it was far from easy. For every RALM that fell, an El Caudillan died. Both sides were almost evenly matched. There was no end in sight. Yet, the El Caudillans vowed to persevere. They would either defeat their mortal enemies or put up a valiant struggle trying to do so; if RALM did win, El Caudillo vowed to make it a hotly-contested, Pyrrhic victory.

Just when it appeared the battle would be won decisively, more Van Luxemburg reinforcements came in and launched a full-fledged onslaught assault. Tanks blasted El Caudillan soldiers to pieces, as laser-guided missiles caused dozens of men to disintegrate in a burst of flames. Smoke clouded the scene so heavily that many soldiers could not see where they were shooting. This resulted in a significant number of "friendly fire," casualties. Though they were holding their own, it was clear that, at this rate, defeat was imminent. In desperation, the lead General rushed over to one of his aides, snatched his radio, and called in a last-minute air strike. The strike would probably not occur for at least ten minutes. This was the case in Cabinda, the Forces had VLIA Sattelite support. this sattelite showed enemy aircraft coming in, and would be expected in about 5-15 minutes bombing the El-Caudillian base. In response to this, the Commanders issued 18 Mirage 2000-5 aircraft to intercept the Enemy aircraft.

"2000-leader to Papa Bear, we're on intercepting course, expected ETA 8.5 minutes, 2000-leader out."

El-Caudillian base

He was the only one who could save this, the only one. The Combat engineer pulled out his Jackhammer shotgun as he saw the Lead general running again.
5 out of 7 shots he fired into the chest of the general.

Meanwhile, the Battle raged on, killing many soldiers on each side. The tigers were still supporting the Marines, but were thinned out to only five choppers, only one was taken out thanks to the fast action of the Rafale-M aircraft.
The Real ALM

Stuart thought, as she pumped a burst into an El Caudillan soldier: "Goddam....these dudes don't quit!"

Now that the Horses were being hit by artillery, Stuart called for an airstrike-in this case, a flight of TSA-12s from Benin, equipped with plenty of napalm and octo-nitro-cubane. They would arrive in a matter of, say, fifteen minutes. Reinforcements were another matter-no other Lighthorse force was available, so they radioed the nearest UNITA force for aid.

In the meantime, the other Horses kept on going. Indeed, a 1:1 kill ratio was developing, as the Horses opened fire with their own rifles and SAWs. Some of the Lighthorses even began loading some old Explosive ammunition they had purchased from Roach Busters before their implosion into their MACs, and began turning these experimental bullets upon the El Caudillans, mixing some frag and WP grenades from M203s and other hand thrown devices into the deadly mix. All the while, the mortars kept on going, targeting enemy machine gun positions, and the snipers kept aiming for pretty much any enemy El Caudillan that moved with M21s and Barretts.

--------------------------------------

After the men stole the guns, they decided to visit their captive, stationing a man with a pistol-a Colt Detective Special-to ensure he would not escape. They threw Antonio a bottle of water and an MRE, and then left the two to go to town.

The men counted their load. 1 AK, 1 Nagant Revolver, 1 Hi-Power, and 1 Python was their prize. The AK was the most important. They needed it for drive-bys-nothing else would do.

As they drove into town, they began to drive around, looking for any government officials or policemen. They spotted two El Caudillan policemen, patrolling his beat. The men sped up, and slammed into one head on, tearing him asunder. His partner tried to stop the men, but a reply from the Hi-Power silenced him. Before driving off, the men put on gloves and left a card that said in Angolan Portuguese:

"Death to the capitalist pigs-MPLA"

Obviously, the note was fake, but.......who would care?

The scene was so thoroughly drenched in blood that even the most avid horror movie fan would shudder with nausea. Dismembered, charred bodies, bullet-filled heads, organs, chunks of muscle, and shattered bones were scattered everywhere. Neither side gave an inch. Neither side had a clear-cut advantage or disadvantage. At this rate, the fight would never end. A distress signal was sent to the nearest El Caudillan base, where 4000 foreign mercenaries were beefing up for their mission. Immediate back-up was requested, and the mercenaries were soon on their way.

-----

About Fifteen Miles Away

A UNITA battallion, responding to RALM's request for back-up, dispersed into the bushes, sneaking through foliage with the silence and stealthiness of jungle cats, hoping to catch the El Caudillans off guard. More than 5000 UNITA troops, many of them poorly-trained children or ill-equipped, malnourished adults, were on their way. They knew that, if they were to go head-to-head against El Caudillo, they would be torn apart. Therefore, they had to implement the guerrilla tactis Mao had taught the late founder of UNITA, Dr. Jonas Savimbi, oh so many years ago.

Nearby, several APCs and trucks, carrying mercenaries, sped down a rugged, bumpy, dirt road to rally to El Caudillo's aid.

A UNITA corporal grinned. Just a little further...

One of the trucks exploded like a keg of dynamite, causing debris and body parts to fly everywhere. Two other trucks suffered a similar fate.

The corporal grinned. He was wise indeed to have mined the roads.

The remaining APCs and trucks pulled to a stop, and the mercenaries climbed out, and immediately began shooting anything that moved. Child soldiers crumpled to the ground, face-first in pools of blood, as an elderly UNITA soldier's head burst in a spurt of blood as he attempted to retreat. As a small ensemble of UNITA soldiers purposely sacrificed themselves, diverting the mercenaries, the rest of the UNITA soldiers sneaked around from behind, and doused the mercenaries with flame-throwers, reducing them to steaming, meatless skeletons. Shrill, ear-splitting screams of agony could be heard from miles around. Many soldiers on both sides vomited upon smelling the unsettling odor of burning flesh. The mercenaries used this to their advantage, and gunned down every nauseated enemy soldier they could see. But the mercenaries, who had lost several dozen men to the land mines, and at least a hundred from the sneak attack from behind, found that these indigenous peasants would not be so easy to defeat as they had imagined.

Then the real fighting could begin.

ooc: Sorry for the delay, Jolt kept telling me that their forums were broken yesterday every time I tried to go on them, whatever.

IC:
Andre Bomani watched from a distance as EL troops and traitorous countrymen destroyed the villages and towns of Benguela, killing many innocents with their deadly booby traps. They will pay for their crimes against the poor. When the MPLA takes power, the EL sympathizers will be the first to pay for their crimes against the under classes.

He motioned for his men to get ready. This mission was special. Word had filtered down the line that a foreign government was sending aid to MPLA units forty kilometers ahead at a nearby village. Andre’s job was to prevent the EL troops from reaching the village. This expedition had been well armed for the job. Many of his men had AK-47’s or similar guns in addition to the several extra RPG launchers and heavy machine guns given for his propose.

Finally seeing his opportunity, Andre motioned for his men to open fire, saving the RPG’s for any vehicles the EL might have brought. Whether he was to die or survive to fight another day, Andre could tell this would be an important battle, no matter the outcome.

Secret IC:
*Just outside the village*

Sergent Baker and his team slowly made their way into the heart of town. crouching between vehicles, buildings, and even trash cans as they make their way towards a large building in the center of town. They spotted a local police vehicle approaching and ducked between some buildings behind bushes. After they watched the patrol car pass by, they began to sneak farther down the road.

Baker and his team used hand signals and shoulder pats to signal where to go and when to move. They were pro's at this, training in sections of a distroyed town in Northeastern Illinois and being members of the Illinois Revolutionary Party before the fall of the United States. They were a part of many battles to combat the US Soldiers when they came to try and take back the state. The batle of the Boarder (Between Illinois and Indiana) was a bloody one; over 14,000 IRP members and 30,000 US Soldiers were killed in that conflict. It was then that the remaining US Soldiers decided to surrender.

Baker had finally found his way to within 1/2 block of the building in the center of the village. They stopped suddenly and took cover when they noticed that the building had make shift guard towers and a sofisticated security system on and around the building. How were they to make their first contact with the leadership of this town with that many guards in the area? This would be something that Baker had to think about.

*At the drop zone*
Other Marine units were setting up camp near the drop zone. Some camo tents were planted right near trees to make them hard to spot from the air. Guards were selected to climb the trees and make purches for themselves and the other guards who would take the 2nd and 3rd shift. Private Roseigrand had the job of setting up the command tent along a tree line. It wasn't that hard of a job but he just wished that they had put 3 people on this job.

Global IC:
*Back near the building*

Sergent Baker decided that he would make his groups presence known. With their weapons drawn, they snuck closer to the main gate of the makeshift compound. Ne noticed that the guards were wearing dark green uniforms but he couldn't see any distinguishable markings on the uniforms. He didn't know if they were the group that he was looking for or a rival faction that had entered the territory without being noticed. But this town was far enough in the territory that there was no way that any other factions could get here. They got close enough that they were roughly 200 feet from the main gate. Sergent Baker then did something that he probably would regret later on.

Sergent Baker (Yelling): "This is Sergent Baker with the Shazbotdom Marine Corps. I would like to speak to the leader of your group to see if your the ones we are looking for to hook up with."

OOC: This is where i would need someone to RP the guards near the building.

The RALM cannons fired away at the walls of the base, causing them to weaken and crumble apart. The roof collapsed onto the survivors, utterly crushing them. The few El Caudillans that had been just outside the base realized it was futile...or was it? Like a cavalry in an old Western, the mercenaries arrived in the nick of time, only there were about 500 of them, which was sufficient, but was a far cry from the 4000 they had been promised. No matter, they could ask questions later. For now, it was time to finish this once and for all. They continued firing away at their attackers.

The Lighthorses liked what they saw at first-the explosions and all-but things grew sour when the mercs came. The mortars turned on them, and so did the snipers. Meanwhile, the regular SAW and rifle teams began moving around, throwing hand grenades, using M203s, and firing MAC-10s with more of those experimental explosive bullets at the mercs,as well as pouring fire with their own guns. A few men didn't forget about the surviving regulars-they decided to run in, and finish them off with their grenades and machine guns.

Willet aluted , "Right, sir. I'l let you get back to your work. I'm going to get my heliocopter up and running."

He turned back to his men and began shouting orders. They scattered, some heaing into the city, while others swarmed the Black Hawk.

Halloway handed the young captain a slip of paper on it. It had a string of numbers on it, recognizable as a specific communications frequency.

"This is my secure SATCOM frequency. You can reach me on it at virtually any time. You can use it to keep in touch with me, and organize and coordinate our respective forces' activities.

"Well, my men and I are headed down to the barge with our weapons. The rest of our forces ought to be there. Give me a holler on SATCOM if you find anything regarding the FNLA HQ." He returned the captain's salute. "Godspeed, Captain."

With that, Halloway and his troops left.

"Shit, They return fire!"
"Mayday, mayday, I'm going down, I'm leaving guys!"

one of the aircraft, which was heavily damaged, opened his cockpit and launched the ejector seat.

"Do we have any backup that can be here very fast?"
"The HQ wouldn't be happy if our Big Brother is called in"
"They wouldn't be happy with that as a whole"
"Cut the crap again and try to sneak up behind the El-Caudillians."

The Aircraft started manoeuvring and, after some time, they surprised the El-Caudillian aircraft from behind. with 30mm cannons, Magic 2 and MICA missiles they opened fire.

The mercenaries bumrushed the Lighthorses, swarming around them and pumping them full of lead. They fought as savagely as famished tigers attacking wounded deer.

The Lighthorses had taken a lot of damage; but they vowed to not surrender. They simply began a fighting retreat, lobbing more mortars and grenades at the mercs as they moved back, and still sniping at the enemy. For every attack made by the mercs, the Lighthorses vowed to fight back six times as hard, and this showed dramatically as they simply refused to die, screaming and firing away.

Stuart radioed for more air support, this time, another flight of TSA-12s was prepped from Equatorial Guinea, and they took off, estimated to arrive in about 30 minutes. Afterwards, she unsheathed her katana, painted matte black for jungle war, and began slicing away at incoming mercs, alternating slashes with MAC-10 fire. About five persons formed a defensive line around Stuart, and vowed to defend "Mistress Linda" to the death.

Three Ivan Rogov class large landing ships, bearing the black flag of the Dominion, eased into one of El Caudillo’s controlled ports. This port was part of the city of Namibe. These three ships were not alone. Five Praefele class trimaran destroyers, one Swiftsure-class carrier, two Wixted-class scout frigates and two Tiger-class railgun-armed gunboats stayed back to watch over the port.

Aboard one of the Ivan Rogov class large landing ships, the DN Black Trident, stood Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Dawson (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/Dawson.jpg) in Transylvanian body armor (http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/CountJWolf/TransylvanianBA.jpg), weak yellow and obscure dull orange. (OOC: Without the helmet on.) He had on a brown leather duster over it. He had his AR-56 assault rifle at his side and those wicked razor claws things at his back. He was the leader of the 4th Raptors and would act as the commander of every unit in Angola. He smiled as images of death and chaos ran through his head. Ronald was a sadist and that is why the God-Emperor put him in charge.

The bride doors open and in came a man in Transylvanian body armor, dark faded red, on a matching skateboard. The man was Captain Bryan Clark (http://akamai.edeal.com/images/catalog700/folder6202/img582144.jpg) and leader of the 45th Immortal Troopers. Ha had his FN-P90 Sub-Machine gun on his back.

“Bryan, you ready for battle?” asked Dawson.

“I was born ready.” said Bryan. Captain Ron Simmons (http://www.omelete.com.br/imagens/cinema/news/blade_2/blade.jpg) walked in the bridge and said “Same here.” Ron was in Transylvanian body armor, dark hard red and black, with his MP-2 Eviscerator SMG at his side and a mean looking Katana on his back. Ron was the leader of the 46th Red Bulls.

“Good.” said Dawson, who was still looking at the city of Namibe. “Bryan, have your men watch over the docks.”

“Yes, sir.” said Bryan, who turned and left the bridge of the DN Black Trident. “Ron, have your men watch over the ships.”

“Yes, sir.” said Ron as he left the bridge.

Two AH-6J Little Birds on each ship entered the air to patrol the city. Men started unloading form the Ivan Rogov class large landing ships. Captain Bryan and his 600 Immortal Troopers were setting up in area of the docks to guard the ships. Captain Ron and his 600 Red Bulls were watching over the ships. In two hours, the ships would be empty and the Dominion would start working to make Namibe a strong hold.

A total of 15,000 Dominion soldiers would be in Namibe after the ships are unloaded. 5,000 Raptors, 4,000 Hellspawns, 1,500 Immortal Troopers, 1,500 Red Bulls, 1,000 Roman Knights, 1,000 Roach Busters, 500 Oliver's Bulls, 250 Shadow Foxes and 250 Death Hackers are these soldiers. Vehicles are being unloaded. After the unloading is done, the three Ivan Rogov class large landing ships would head back to the Dominion waters. Two Praefele class trimaran destroyers would escort them back.

Ten hours have passed after the first set of Ivan Rogov class large landing ships docked in Namibe. Lieutenant Colonel Dawson has turned the town of Namibe into military stronghold. With 45,000 Dominion soldiers in or around the city, the Lieutenant Colonel want to see those damn rebels attack the city.

15,000 Raptors armed with one CAR-24A1 combat assault rifle, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in obscure weak yellow and obscure dull orange each. The Raptors are the main fighting force in Namibe. Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Dawson will lead them in battle.

10,000 Hellspawns armed with one AR-56 assault rifle, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in each. The Hellspawns will back up the Raptors, if needed. Major

5,000 Roach Busters armed with one AR-56 assault rifle, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in dark red and navy each. They would act as back up for the Raptors and Hellspawns.

5,500 Immortal Troopers armed with one FN-P90 Sub-Machine gun, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in dark faded red each. Their job is to act like the police of Namibe. Captain Bryan Clark leads them.

4,000 Red Bulls armed with one MP-2 Eviscerator SMG, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in dark hard red and black each. Their jobs to run stuff like food, ammo and other things around the city. Captain Ron Simmons will lead them in Namibe.

4,000 Roman Knights armed with one MP-2 Eviscerator SMG, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in dark orange-yellow and light dull orange each. The Roman Knights would guard the docks of Nambibe. Major Matthew Osbourne (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8b/ScottSteinerPortrait.jpg) is the leader of every Roman Knight and the commander of the 4,000 Roman Knights in Namibe.

500 Oliver's Bulls armed with one SR-22 Sniper Rifle, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in brown and dark stale gray each. Snipers are what they do and they do it good. Captain Henri Bellefontaine will lead them in Namibe.

250 Shadow Foxes armed with one AR-66 silent assault rifle, one H&K SOCOM pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in dim gray and stale gray each. The only time you will see them, is when you are gunned down from the shadows. Captain Vladimir Smirnov will lead them in Namibe.

250 Death Hackers armed with one MP-2 Eviscerator SMG, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in black and dark hard green each. The Death Hackers are the shadow ops people. Captain Santos Nikolakopoulos will lead them in Namibe.

Now, it was a waiting game. Who will see the Dominion forces in Namibe first? The rebels? Or those people helping those rebels?

The pilots realized it was going to be harder than they thought. Not only were the jets they up against topnotch, but so were the skills of the men piloting them. It would not be easy; not that they planned on giving up. Rather than fleeing, they engaged their attackers directly, firing a stream of missiles.

It was a losing game for the El Caudillans. These RALMs were no amateurs. The El Caudillans hadn't expected them to be pushovers, of course, but then again, they weren't expecting veteran fighters, either. The ferocity, efficiency, tenacity, and vicious resolve of the enemy were staggering. Their superior firepower and sufficient air support was nothing to take lightly, either. Though the El Caudillans were putting up an extremely good fight, managing to take out a RALM soldier for almost every El Caudillan that fell in battle, the RALMs were gradually gaining the upper hand. Panic set in, and over a dozen men urinated their pants out of fear before turning tail and fleeing. A disgruntled sergeant aimed his machine-gun at the deserters and gunned them down without mercy. Big mistake. With his back turned, he was an easy target, and he was quickly blown to smithereens by RALM fire. Just when it seemed things could get no worse, several dozen convoys of UNITA guerrillas arrived, toting high quality weapons courtesy of RALM. Things went from bad to worse to worst. Comparisons to Custer's Last Stand were not out of place.

Then again, thought the leading general, Hal Moore felt the same way during Operation Silver Bayonet- the Battle of the Ia Drang. They were vastly outnumbered, yet managed to persevere and eventually win. Maybe, just maybe, we can do the same. Unlikely, but possible. If we're going down, we're going down with all guns firing- literally.

"[i]For Emperor! For homeland! For Christ, the Savior!" he cried, and his stirring battle cry roused the troops into action and boosted their morale significantly. Surging with bravery, the troops, although outnumbered and disadvantaged, courageously rushed toward the enemy to make what would possibly be their last stand.

The reports were getting quite fun. The Transylvanians had deployed a huge amount of men and materiel in Naimbe; nobody knew if they were pro or anti El Caudillan. But they spelled bad news for somebody; they had the city of Naimbe locked up solid.

The decision was made to begin smuggling troops in using the existing runways, and heavy materiel as well. Reports from Stuart's team were not looking too rosy; so some heavier stuff would be required. As such, 105mm guns and heavier artillery was introduced, along with tanks of all kinds and some of those Enlightened Guardians, those paranoid, crazed, fanatical survivalists from the backcountry of West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Western Africa that lived for violence, to the tune of some 100,000, who broke up into small groups to train UNITA forces and to begin raids of their own.....

Well, that's two down, one of the pilots thought, just before his plane was hit by enemy fire and exploded into a fireball. Tattered remnants of his plane fell smoldering to the ground, along with what little remained of him.

The El Caudillans returned fire, but the Van Luxemburgan jets maneuvered aside and evaded the fire with relative ease, before retaliating with fire of their own. The El Caudillans were quite maneuverable as well, and most of them managed to dodge, except for three rookie pilots, who quickly became casualties of war. Undeterred, the El Caudillans engaged the enemy head-on, firing away with their missiles.

The old cry, mangled Finnish for "Hack them Down," soon emerged from the ranks, as the Horses deployed their weapons for the defense against the charge. Aiming their mortars, machine guns, and sniper rifles at the heart of the formation, they gave it everything they had. Now, they used all tracers and all WP shells, and some even still had MAC-10s with Explosive bullets. All was thrown at the El Caudillans; all was given.

Few if any of the soldiers on either side were clean; exploding bodies everywhere guaranteed that everyone, or very nearly everyone, was covered in blood. Not that the El Caudillans noticed; they had higher priorties, like trying to stay alive. Many of them were oblivious to their critical wounds, and staggered onward, shooting with everything they had, and not falling until they were actually dead. Their desperation instilled in them an unrepentant desire to win at any cost.

In a warehouse near the docks, Lieutenant Colonel Dawson was looking over the reports of both airfields on each side of Namibe. Both are at 85% finished. When they are done, more Dominion soldiers will arrive and the fighting can start. This warehouse will act as high command, right now. Captain Smirnov, the Russian leader of the Shadow Foxes, and Captain Nikolakopoulos, the Greek leader of the Death Hackers, walked into the Lieutenant Colonel’s ‘office’.

“Sir.” said Captain Smirnov “The Shadow Foxes are waiting for their orders.”

“The Death Hackers are waiting, too.” said Captain Nikolakopoulos.

The Lieutenant Colonel turned to face the two captains. “Have both of your men divide into 50 groups of five soldiers.” Then pointed at the map of the Namibe Province. “Find the rebel leader ands kill them.”

“Yes, sir.” said both captains.

“After that, move out of the Namibe Province and into the other provinces. I want all of the rebel commanders’ heads sent back to Me.” ordered the Lieutenant Colonel. “Got that, soldiers.”

“Yes, sir.” said both captains.

“Now, go make me proud.” said Lieutenant Colonel “If any of you run into other people helping the rebels, kill them too.”

“Yes, sir.” said both captains before leaving the Lieutenant Colonel’s ‘office’. The Shadow Foxes and Death Hackers would move out in the cover of the night.

Stuart was amazed at these men. She respected their determination. It made it all the more sweeter to destroy them.

She knew that these men wanted death; they wanted to die gloriously for God and Empire. So, she would give them what they wanted. She ordered men to prep hand grenades, MAC-10s, knives and machetes for close combat. She readied her katana.

She ordered a charge at the incoming El Caudillans. A large group of men complied, dropping mortar shells on the El Caudillans before charging, guns blazing, at the El Caudillans. Stuart, guarded by a group of soldiers, led the charge, katana swinging. Meanwhile, those left behind continued the steel rain of sniper shots and mortar shells.

The VLS Colmar, a Verdun AA frigate, engaged all his weapon systems, and fired a missile at different aircraft.

(OOC: How many F-14 are there actually?)

Seemingly from out of nowhere, a missile appeared, crashing into one of the aircraft before the pilot even saw it, resulting in another casualty.

"What the- where did that missile come fr-"

The ensuing explosion from another missile not only cut off that pilot's sentence, but his life.

By now, they were wise to the warships presence, and they ascended to a height where its missiles could not possibly reach them.

Surrounded by the dead bodies of his friends, the last remaining soldier smiled. Laughing triumphantly, he ran forward, jumped into the center of the soldiers, and activated the explosive device concealed beneath his uniform. In the fraction of a split-second before he became human confetti, he hoped that he took as many enemies with him as possible.

The Enlightened Guardians in the countryside began wandering about Naimbe and the other southern Provinces held by UNITA. There, they hoped to deal with the new Transylvanians, who began to seem awfully hostile. Platoon sized groups of men went on the prowl, heavily armed. They were paramilitaries; not quite as elite as the Lighthorses that had spearheaded the presence of the RSA/RALM. But, they had just as much firepower, and they had just as much guts and a bigger mean streak.

Meanwhile, Lighthorse units all over South Angola were reequiped with newer equipment, recently imported from the Reunited States and the KSC Corporation. Now, new operations could begin in earnest.

An entire squad went up with the man; Stuart shielded herself from the grisly shower of blood. She then surveyed the scene; it was one that Dante would have recognized.

She then knelt down and prayed to God, thanking him and asking for forgiveness for those who wouldn't be going home, on both sides. Then, she ordered body cards to be issued. They were a special pack, marked with the symbols of the RSA and UNITA on them joined in unison. The cards distributed over the corpses and the mess, those that could be buried were. The bodies were raided for supplies and ammo, and soon, the Lighthorses reported to one of the bases set up by their comrades, to rest, heal up, rearm, and get new men.

The Enlightened Guardians would not even see the Shadow Foxes and Death Hackers as they moved around the Namibe Province. But they have not left the city of Namibe. They will leave as the sun down.

Both airfields were up and running. C-141B Starlifter have been landing and unloading ammo, tanks, other vehicles, and more soldiers. The Dominion was going to put more fighters on the grounds. Over 10,000 soldiers from the 12th Blood Dragons will be arriving at Namibe in six hours. They would be lead by Major Constantine Paschalis, another Greek soldier. Each Blood Dragon would carry one AR-22 heavy assault rifle, one M-12 MasterKey double-barreled shotgun, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in obscure dull red and obscure gray.

Back in the Dominion…

B-9 Vexore bombers were being fueled and load with 70 MK79 1000lb Napalm bombs. They would be entering the air in 45 minutes. Their job is to bomb known rebel towns and bases in the South Provinces of Angola. A total of 100 bombers will be doing the job.

Beneath the surface, dozens of El Caudillan soldiers traversed dark, labyrinthine, manmade tunnels, which had been crudely and hastily constructed by guerrillas a few months ago. There was an opening at the end of the tunnel, which would bring them to the rear of the RALM forces. Half of the 3,000 man strong El Caudillan contingent would use this tunnel to sneak up behind the RALM forces and surround them.

The rebels, being the morally repugnant dogs they were, recruited thousands of women and children into their ranks; in some areas, children and women made up the majority of soldiers. The area being mercilessly bombed into the pre-Stone Age by the Transylvanian bombers now was such an area. As flimsy straw huts burst into flames, as thick suffocating smoke ensnared the villages in a thick shroud, ablaze children and women ran amok, screaming as they were burned alive. Poorly-guarded, crudely-assembled bases made of mud and sod disintegrated to rubble upon being hit by bombs, burying alive their inhabitants. The Stinger missiles never made it to the bombers because they were at 50,000 feet. The Raptors continued firing at the EGs, using tree as cover on the way. A few more yards and the EG would be in a world of trouble.

25 Raptors hit by the grenades that damaged their body armor. Their body armor could hold that machine fire off for a long time but with it damaged, they were gunned down. “Ten more yards, boys.” said one of the Raptor on the radio, linked in their helmets.

The air fleet moved in quickly, swooping in below radar and closing in on the city. They moved into formation, watching the skies for enemies...

The enemy airplanes arrived on the radar, so the order was giving to the AA guns on the out side of the city to fire when they were in range. The 30 AVF/A-18SJ Ultra Hornets spotted the enemy airplanes and fly at them but did not get into their range before flying straight back to the city. They were daring them to follow.

The Stinger missiles hit four of the Little Birds at each airfield, the others continue to fire into the jungle with their mini-guns. The Hellspawns used the cover of the hanger to fire at the EGs. The mortar fire at each airfield hit ten of them.

The T-1 Scorpion tanks held their own but four of M60A3 Patton battle tanks were hit by the RPGs and other mortar fire.

The EG's kept up their assault, they continued to pour Stingers at the helicopters, keeping up the frantic pace as they tried to down the enemy. Meanwhile, the EG's also fired back at the Hellspawns and their tank support, using RPG-7Vs and mortars.

The sniper had used the A-4X Skyhawk IIs attack to head back to the city. Four of the A-4X Skyhawk IIs were hit and the pilots dove towards the enemy vehicles. The other set opened fire with their cannon at the men.

20 men were killed by the cannons, so the EG's, realizing the snipers had gone, focused their efforts on the Skyhawks, retaliating with Stinger missiles and small arms fire, as well as RPGs. They moved steadily in a zigzag pattern towards the airfield to aid their comrades, and began sowing Claymores as well, both along the road and to cover their tracks.

Ten yards later and the EGs that were chasing the Raptors were about to be unlocked up. From behind the EGs, all 250 Shadow Foxes jumped out of their hiding spaces and open fire at them.

The EG's simply fired back at the Shadow Foxes and the Raptors, they relished the chance for more people to frag. They lobbed grenades and RPGs and poured machine gun fire at the incoming enemy, not caring they had lost 11 men in the attack. They began uttering feral warchants, and refused to give up.

Still some support would have been nice. So, the head of the EG's radioed for backup, and made contact with Stuart's relief column, which soon decided to head their way, scattering in small groups.

Ten minutes or more have passed after the first attack. El Caudillo forces should be arriving to help the Dominion soldiers any minute now.

The planes soldiered forth....the Ultra Hornets were spotted, but the flight leader urged his pilots not to take the bait. He knew that the area would be thick with flak and SAMs, so he ordered his men to stay sharp, and continued course as planned...

“Well that plan did not work.” said the lead pilot on the radio. “Stay here.” The Ultra Hornets stayed to guard the city, waiting for the enemy planes to come to them.

The EG's kept up their assault; they continued to pour Stingers at the helicopters, keeping up the frantic pace as they tried to down the enemy. Meanwhile, the EG's also fired back at the Hellspawns and their tank support, using RPG-7Vs and mortars.

Two more Little Birds were taken down at each airfield. The Hellspawns did not have to worry about the machine gun fire but the RPGs and mortar are what they were worried about.

Then to both sides of the EGs came the men from the 12th Blood Dragons. 1,500 Blood Dragons on each side of the EGs in the jungle, at airfield. There will be two chose for the EGs; fight and die or surrender and live.

20 men were killed by the cannons, so the EG's, realizing the snipers had gone, focused their efforts on the Skyhawks, retaliating with Stinger missiles and small arms fire, as well as RPGs. Four more Skyhawks were taken down. The Skyhawks’ pilots knew they were going to die. So they did the best thing to do. Use the whole planes at a weapon. Each one dived bombed towards the enemy.

They lobbed grenades and RPGs and poured machine gun fire at the incoming enemy, not caring they had lost 11 men in the attack. They began uttering feral war chants, and refused to give up.

The Shadow Foxes took some hit but continue firing at the EGs. The Raptor took some losses but did what the Shadow Foxes did. The EGs were trapped in between two units and were being gunned down.

Four more Skyhawks were taken down. The Skyhawks’ pilots knew they were going to die. So they did the best thing to do. Use the whole planes at a weapon. Each one dived bombed towards the enemy.

The EG's scattered, and tried to evade the attack. Ten were killed by a kamikaze, the others focused on pumping Stingers into the enemy.

The Shadow Foxes took some hit but continue firing at the EGs. The Raptor took some losses but did what the Shadow Foxes did. The EGs were trapped in between two units and were being gunned down.

The EG's held out, roaring away with machine guns and grenades, as well as RPGs loaded with WP rockets. They refused to quit; no fancy-dancy name units would eliminate them.

UNITA forces all over reeled from the intense bombings......indeed, as guerillas, it was expected they and their allies would be hit hard. But the Transylvanians were laying it on really thick, and the El Caudillans were playing "rattlesnake," using their old tunnels to hit the people they needed the most: the RALM.

UNITA forces all over decided to stage a general counterattack. They would try to bail them out by attacking those forces that were hitting the airfields.

The plan was put into motion-bands of UNITA soldiers, going on foot and using old Nissans and Land Rovers- rushed to the embattled airfields, pouring out of their rickety vehicles or running from the bush and putting those dandy new SMAWs, SAWs, MAC-10s and M16s to use on the El Caudillans. Stingers, Avengers, and AAA went up, and began searching the skies for the enemy......

MEanwhile, the news in Dakar, capital of the CES Alliance, members roared over what to do in Angola. Their RSA allies were dying out there, and their own citizens were involved in the war that clearly was not in the shadows anymore.....

So the decision was made. A full force of 250,000 CES troops from all reaches of West and Central Africa would be mobilized to fight the enemy. A massive air armada, some 1,500 planes, would be deployed as well. And, a large naval force would move to prevent resupply from the sea.

The enemy planes were in range, now. The AA guns, a total of 25, started firing towards their area.

The planes soon began to enter into evasive manuevers, trying to evade the guns. Some began to fire missiles back at the guns, 2 missiles each per plane.

The Blood Dragons fired at the retreating EGs. They were not going to follow them in the jungle. They were smarter then that. The remaining Blood Dragons moved back to the airfields.

The only enemy for EGs was the one in the city of Namibe. But they have to cross the minefield to get there. That is going to be fun to watch.

The EG's paused for a moment, and radioed for back up. They were told that a massive wave of planes was coming, and that it would be prudent to hold on. The leader of this force sighed; he did inventory and found that his ammo supply, while good, was probably not going to last another attack. He decided to join up with the other units, who radioed that some "freaky kamikazes" tried to get them. Those guys, once they consolidated, would move towards the city again. But not until then. They began moving out, sneakign about and moving in a zigzag pattern....

Both units continue to fire at the EGs. The EGs will run out of ammo anytime soon. Then an attack from behind made the Shadow Foxes reteart back into the shadows of the jungle. Ten of them were killed before they disappeared in the shadows.

It took time for the Stuart and her men to get behind the Shadow Foxes. But they walked right through hidden Raptors, numbering over 2,000. They moved into range and opened fire at her unit.

Stuart and her men fired back, unloading their SMAWs and SAWs at the incoming enemies. They tried to keep moving; they had to bail out those darned EG's. The EGs by now were definetly running low on ammo, but they stuck to their guns, using their second to last supplies of ammo to unleash more fire at the Foxes. In reserve, everybody had knives and machetes, Stuart had a matte black katana.

Meanwhile, the 100 B-9 Vexore bombers moved over their target. The Real ALM airfield. Bombs started dropping from the sky. 7,000 MK79 1000lb Napalm bombs were been dropped. That is a total of 7,000,000 pound of Napalm being dropped. That would be enough to take out they target and anything near it.

The airfield began to resemble the lunar surface, and any KSC planes that were going to land decided not to. The defenses below decided to fire back.....good thing there were more airfields, as 50+ men were dead, and casualties were climbing.

First off, I RPed earlier that I had been setting up SAMs and AAA in the jungles and shipping them into the area, so they're there.

You never let me say you could put them around the jungles of Namibe city, as you call it.

Then if the UNITA are not attacking my airfields, then I have not see them. Because the only things attack your airfields are the bombers. So, I will edit that post to have them back up my airfields.

The planes soon began to enter into evasive maneuvers, trying to evade the guns. Some began to fire missiles back at the guns, 2 missiles each per plane.

The 25 AA guns continue to fire as SAM sites all over the city and near the city began to fire. A total of 50 of them have been set up in last ten hours. Six missiles from each one flew into the air. Some of the missiles were targeting the enemy missiles and the other are targeting the enemy planes. That is a total of 300 missiles.

The 30 F/A-18SJ Ultra Hornets moved into position and fired at the enemy planes. Two missiles from each plane.

They began moving out, sneaking about and moving in a zigzag pattern...

The enemy soldiers could only follow the road leading to the front of Namibe city because the Dominion airfields block the roads on both sides, that when into the city. So, they had to cross through the minefields. Meaning they would be screwed in a couple of second.

Right in front of the city, a line of 250 XM777 Lightweight 155mm howitzers had been set up. “Fire!” orders one of the Roman Knight’s commanders. The howitzers started sending shells into the air. The enemy soldier would not know what happened. The crews would take one minute to load the next shell. Plus, they had a lot of shells to fire.

Stuart and her men fired back, unloading their SMAWs and SAWs at the incoming enemies. They tried to keep moving; they had to bail out those darned EG's. The EGs by now were definitely running low on ammo, but they stuck to their guns, using their second to last supplies of ammo to unleash more fire at the Foxes. In reserve, everybody had knives and machetes, Stuart had a matte black katana.

The Shadow Foxes were undamaged because they had already disappeared back into the shadows. Both teams of Raptor were taking losses but continue firing. The EGs or Lighthorses were not going to get supplies because they were trapped. So they were going to run out of ammo. Right as they did, both units of Raptor stop fire but keep their guns point at the enemy.

One of the Raptor commander’s turned his radio to mic-phone section. “Surrender or die.” he said to the enemy in middle.

The airfield began to resemble the lunar surface, and any KSC planes that were going to land decided not to. The defenses below decided to fire back.....good thing there were more airfields, as 50+ men were dead, and casualties were climbing.

The 100 B-9 Vexore bombers were somewhat undamaged because of the height they were at. Twenty of them were hit but could still fly back home. They turned to head home….

Meanwhile, the navy back up had arrived. DN Dragon's Plague and DN Hellish Trident, both Omega Class trimaran heavy battleships, were part of this naval unit. The other Swiftsure-class carriers were part of this naval unit with 10 Steadfast-class SSBN/SSGNs, the other 18 Tiger-class railgun-armed gunboats, and more Ivan Rogov class large landing ships.

The 30 F/A-18SJ Ultra Hornets on each carrier entered the sky, to back up their buddies.

The Ivan Rogovs numbered in ten and were heading to the docks. The cargo was men of the 1st Blood Wolves, the 11th Death’s Knights, and the 24th Desert Rats. Each unit had over 15,000 men.

Each Blood Wolf had one AR-22 heavy assault rifle, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in brick red and black.

Each Death’s Knight had one CAR-24A1 combat assault rifle, one Super-Nova shotgun, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in black and obscure gray.

Each Desert Rat had one MP-2 Eviscerator SMG, one PHX Hi-Power 10mm pistol, and a set of Transylvanian body armor in light yellow-orange.

More C-141B Starlifters were entering the shy of the Dominion as C-141B Starlifter landed at the airfields. More Roach Busters were getting off the cargo planes, a total of 5,000 men.

Above the Verdun AA frigate VLS Colmar

Now I'm done with it! get behind them, we're going to blow them out of the air with our 30mm's!
Roge... AAAAAAH! the scream was deafening. seconds later an enormous explosion could be heard. one of the Rafale M's crashed in an approaching F-14. The other Pilots went mad of this, fighting even harder than before. they lined up after the F-14's, firing a steady stream of 30mm bullets. meanwhile, the 2 Mirage 2100 aircraft engaged their AA lasers, to burn-out any incoming missiles.

(OOC: an AA laser burns out the electronic system of the missile or ignites the payload of it. this is also being used by the USA in RL on some aircraft, these Mirage 2100's are 99.9% stealthy, because of normal stealth skin, and a computer wich neutralises the Radar beams, and is equipped with an "Chameleon" skin, which imitates the color of the landscape the aircraft is flying in. this is used on some USA F-22's. this is why the Mirage 2100 is top-secret. The Van Luxemburg Airforce has about 200 of them.)

OOC: I have no clue who, if anyone is, playing the FNLA so I'll be RPing some of their actions as I find their HQ.

IC:

Angola
A Black Hawk heliocopter flew low over the treetops, finally stopping to hover over a clearing. It descended slowly, the pilot trying not to clip any branches with the rotors. As it finally settled to earth a group of figures broke from the tree-line and ran towards the heliocopter as two camoflauge clad figures hit the ground.

"You with the FNLA?" one of the Jensai special forces yelled to the small group of men wielding AKs. He got a silent nod in return.

"We need to find your HQ so we can start shipping in the arms and supplies."

"Right. Follow me!"

Before heading off into the trees the SPecial FOrces member turned to the chopper pilot, "let Captain Willet know we've found their headquarters!"

OOC: It will not be good to suspend because it will die off when people forget out it. The only ones that will have to pause are you and I in Namibe. So, the others can do their own thing.

The Lighthorses and the EG's were indeed surrounded. A view that was not entirely enticing......

Linda Stuart, glancing at the enemies all over, knew the situation was downright ugly. She did a survey of the men-they were out, down to their last clips. It looked pretty bad.

She gazed at her katana. Its dull blade beckoned for a last stand. But, she knew that this would mean suicide.

Stuart screamed, "Don't shoot, dammit! We surrender!"

Her men laid down their guns. The EGs were not so eager to go-they began to commit seppuku, one by one.

Admiral Jonas Chimbe awaited this day. Assembled in Lagos, the CES Expeditionary Force would begin their push to save their brothers. It was an expensive fleet, and it would take a beating. But, it would be worth it.

OOC: Considering the circumstances....I admit I made errors, and I promise to not make errors again. That AAA near Naimbe City, assume it does not exist (as it probably rightly should)

And as for this post, if there are problems with the fleet, I can fix them.

Secret IC:
The men decided that they were waiting too long. With no reply from the locals they decided to move on down the road and to try and make it to the boarder as soon as possible. The rest of the forces bypassed the town on the outskirts and linked up with the scout team. A group of marines stopped to set up observation points (small hidden cameras) around and inside the small town for command to watch over the place.

The Raptors watched as the EGs kill their selves. They did not care about them. “Base, we need transports. We got some POWs.” said a Raptor captain in his radio. As four Raptors each started handcuffing the POWs.

In less than two minutes, a group of 20 M1097A1 HMMWVs drove up to the Raptors. The POWs were loaded into the back and took back to the base.

Because of what the Dominion was doing in the Angola, they were watching the waters of Africa. When the satellite techs saw the massive navy fleet heading towards Angola, calls went to the God-Emperor, the Grand Marshall, the Sea Marshall, and the Air Marshall. So, the order was sent out to get all Dominion bombers fueled and load with any type of bomb they could have.

A half an hour later, the first sets of bombers enter the sky. 100 B-9 Vexore bombers each load with 70 MK79 1000lb Napalm. The next bombers to enter the sky were the 160 B-69 Skymaster stealth bombers each load with 140 MK82 general-purpose bombs. 100 more B-9 Vexore bombers would enter the sky, loaded with the same thing as the other bombers. Now, the last set of Dominion bombers would be the special ones. The 100 B-9 Vexore bombers are loaded with 14 GBU 28 "Bunker Buster" each. They would catch the enemy fleet right, as they get closer to the Dominion navy. But just out the range, that the Dominion navy is not hit by the bombs.

“Out of our range, sir.” said his Second in command, Captain Patrick Henry Newman.

“If they get into range, blow them to Hell.” order the Admiral.
“Yes, sir.” said Captain Patrick.

The Admiral kept his forces out of their range. He bided his time.....and the aircraft, yes they did feel a bit woozy, and worked their planes to the limit, and they were trained in high altitude flying, so they could stand it. They had plenty of fuel and missiles left. Hopefully, they would fare better than their allies.....

Five men fell, the rest kept their crusade up. Those who ran out of ammo, ran even faster, relying on their knives and bayonets instead.

The Blood Wolves continue firing, the EG’s would have to run about 100 yards to get to them. Most or all of them would be gunned down.

Stuart, at the sound of this, turned black with rage. "You pigs. Who's the terrorist now?"

“You are the terrorist, Colonel Stuart.” said the Lieutenant Colonel. “If you want to join a real military, there will be a opening for you in the Dominion Army.”

“Sir!” said the Major, who ran into the room “Got a message from President Featherston.”

“Yes” said the Lieutenant Colonel.

“They said only the Reunited States are pulling out.” said the Major “Meaning we have to sink the navy out there.”

“Well, we can do that.” said the Lieutenant Colonel. “Major, take Colonel Stuart and her men to the airfield. They will not get their weapons back.”

The Bombers are five minutes away. The enemy could make see them but something was heading at them; the F/A-18SJ Ultra Hornets. After the F/A-18SJ Ultra Hornets have rearmed and refueled, there was only 119 of them left. All Dominion pilots have to do six months of high altitude flying. The CES Aircraft decided to get some of the Hastes, seeing the carnage below. They fired off cannons and locked Sidewinders onto them before firing.

The napalm hit the rear quarter of the fleet, starting with the supply ships and the cruisers, which suffered moderate to heavy damage, as fire crews from the ships tried to use chemical foam and other tools at their disposal to put the ghastly fires out ASAP before they did any more damage. The sea itself seemed to be set ablaze, and ships began evasive movement to try and get out of the firezone, in a direction that did not face the enemy fleet.

------------
Meanwhile, RSA forces began pulling out, but left one instruction for the UNITA forces:

"Give em hell."

UNITA was surprised at this, some were angry, others shocked, but they nonetheless were slightly comforted by the fact that the CES, made up fellow Africans, would coem to aid them. They decided to keep going....anyway, CES forces and KSC Corporation forces would continue supply drops, though not at established airfields- this had led to the disasters that befell UNITA before.

UNITA opted to aid thse forces in Naimbe that were under attack. They slowly began to insert 40,000 men and munitions into the area, moving silently, on foot across obscure jungle trails, company by company.....

----

Aboard the DN Dragon's Plague, Admiral Wentworth watched the enemy fleet. “Sir, this is not right.” said Captain Newmam

“We have orders, captain.” said the Admiral “Send the message, now.”

“Yes, sir.” said Captain Newman. It was a recording by the God-Emperor himself.

“CES Navy, this God-Emperor Count JWolf. I would like to ask the navy to leave the area. The Dominion is helping an ally to try and restore order in one of its territories. These rebels are nothing but rebels. These men and woman are just troublemakers. The UNITA will not help make Angola better. So, I will ask one more time for y’all to leave before more of your men are killed over a lost cause. Do the right thing and leave.”

The howitzers continue fires and retargeting. The RPGs were shot down by well placed machine gun fire. The mortar shells were hitting the ground about 250 yards in front of the Blood Wolves.

OOC: What type are the sniper rifles? Because they have to make it over a half of mile or longer.

OOC: M21 rifles, M41 rifles, and a smattering of Barretts. And RPG's being shot down by machine guns? I've heard of anti-RPG nets, but not machine guns doing the job.

IC:

The UNITA men were not daunted by their misses. They simply pulled out binoculars, made fresh, if crude estimates, and reset the mortars to try and get a better arc. As for the RPG squads, they moved to try and engage the howitzers, which were getting awfully annoying.....

OOC: UNITA soldiers are not experts. Maybe some of them are experts but not all of them are. Most of the traps are not fresh. Plus, the best Shadow Ops soldiers in the Dominion did them. So, they could hide them well.

OOC: Very well, it will be corrected.

Ready nothing was coming to attack the CES navy. The second set of bombers, 160 B-69 Skymaster stealth bombers, were gave new orders. To bomb the jungle in front of Naimbe City. They started their bomb runs. 22,400 MK82 general-purpose bombs were dropped on top of the enemy forces hiding in the jungle below. Nothing would survive.

The bombings hit the UNITA forces hard, scattering many of the convoys and reducing men to component particles. Villages were feeling the heat, with people being forced to flee in the face of fire and death. Severe casualties were recorded everywhere. Chaos reigned.....

Meanwhile, those in front of Naimbe City were hit hard by the bombings, and scattered into the jungles, running like hell. They lost 500 men, and the casualties seemed to mount.

-------

The Navy ignored the message. They were too busy figuring out how to make the enemy come to them.

SIC:

They decided to make a feint, using the unmolested quarter of their ships and their subs to lure the enemy fleet to them. Meanwhile, the servicable part of the fleet would lay in wait, armed to react when the bait returned to them.....

OPEN IC:

This was done. The undamaged quarter of the enemy fleet, and the subs, began moving towards the Dominion lines. They prepped Phalanx AMS and cruise missiles for the battle to come....

OOC: Excuse the RPG comment. UNITA expertise is fixed.

IC:

The recent spate of bombings had runined UNITA, now, they would be driven underground. Like the Vietcong did in the past, they would begin tunneling operations, to escape those damned Transylvanians.

Those who survived, began going to remote jungle locations and those villages that survived, and began to dig.......

OOC: Okay on the rifles. A well-placed shot can take one down.

Right as the UNITA soldier set up their mortars, they were bombed. The howitzers continued firing to make sure that nobody came running back towards them.

Reports have got to the command HQ in Naimbe City. The bombs from the Dominion bombers would destroy the UNITA. Their number would drop down to nothing in the southern provinces.

“Open a channel to the CES Navy.” ordered the Admiral. After it was done, he said in the radio “CES Navy, the UNITA forces have been defeat by our armed forces. Turn around and save your men’s lives because you have nothing to fight for now.”

A message was sent through the Dominion Navy to get ready for battle. Now, they would wait to see the outcome of that message…

The UNITA forces were definetly down, but not out.

The forces near Naimbe City were running already, now the enemy was laying it on thick. They scattered into small groups, to try and escape the steel rain and fire surrounding them. Casualties were mounting, but they stayed the course.

In the countryside, the digging was going on frantically, and despite the severe losses, some progress was still being made, as hidden entrances, shafts and small networks began to emerge; nothing too big yet. Still, ammo, guns, food, and men were being stashed, and UNITA forces, though greatly reduced, still were determined to play the part of the underdog, down but not out. Digging was still going on.....

...and so was propaganda. The UNITA forces had a radio set from the RSA supply drops, a CD copy of Les Miserables, the musical, and a stereo leftover from the RSA; they used this to send messages, hijacking a local frequency and blaring "Do You Hear the People Sing?" and saying:

"People of Angola-

The vampires and the greasers may gave inflicted pain on us. But they have not broken our spirits. The Americans may have abandoned us. But our African and Japanese (a reference to the RALM) brothers will fight with us. We offer true aid to the people of Angola, and true liberty, something that the MPLA or the others cannot give. Brothers, stand up! Fight! FIGHT!"

The CES Navy kept on ignoring the enemy transmissions. They didn't have the time to listen to their badly cliched drivel.

The CES units moving forth opened fire with Tomahawks and guns, targeting the enemy ships with six missiles each. This was the opening salvo......

OOC: There are no vampires in Angola right now. So, get your facts straight. Plus, they would not be many people wanting to join the UNITA now. Seeing as the Dominion took out all of their bases in the Southern Provinces.

OOC: Hey man, I’m tried of RP in this thread. I’m tried of how your men are acting, not want to save a lot of lives. So, you need to do the right thing.

Plus, your commanders are dumb. Not leaving to safe their men's lives.

UNITA rebels are no more. I have bombed every military, airbase, and town of the UNITA in the southern provinces. So, your men will be helping for nothing.

Plus, EC is not posting in this thread anymore.

OOC: Hmm...true.....let's just end this thread, man. Good game, anyway. Seriously, I've gotta say, that's the first loss I've had in a while.

Do you wanna ignore the war or leave it in the records?

As for all that IC stuff, I was trying to keep up that whole "crazed fanatics" type thing, a la the Japanese in WWII. So that explains the disproportionate casualties.

And for one, I really do hope to RP again with you, perhaps under more auspicious circumstances.

OOC: Well this is my first win after the Red Dragon thing in Roach-Busters.

Sure, we can keep it on the records.

Okay, me too.
