That would probably be a good idea, considering most ST ships in the Federation have their lasers in the array form.

Right, Phasers, they are different from SW lasers so now I need to get use to Rping Phasers and Lasers.

Another thing I'd suggest to put up for the adapted Excelsior would be utilities for crew leasure time. Such as saloons, bars, holodecks, gymnasium, ect. I'd also put on how many torpeatoes it holds (not just the cannons) to make RP's more realistic.
