In a suprising move today, Hippies and certain drug addicts were declared "non-sentient beings". The concensus stating that,"Hippies and non-perscription drug addicts lose their sentience due to their inability to differentiate between pain and pleasure, their loss of verbal skills, and general lack of things required for recognition of sentience." After the bill passed in the senate 250-30 with 20 not present of abstaining, it went to the House where it passed 650-. The thirty against were either former/current hippies or heavy drug users. In Crazed Marines, Murder is defined as the unlawful slaying of a sentient being. Under this new law, hippies will lose all their rights. However, they will still be controlled by all CM laws.

DGNT assures you that if you extend this to mimes, thosands of hunters will descend on your nation and you WILL make a killing in the ammunition and hunting licesnce, and tourism department.

Since these "hippies" as you call them are no long of any great use to your nation. Please, let Dae Uhl take some of them off your hands. From our past experiances with Humans, many Protoss feel they are great for hunting and/or using a practice dummies. If you are willing to give them up, we will send a transport to pick them up. We are even willing to pay you for them.

why make hippies non-sentient?
I personally just made all drugs that are commonly used wrongly(illegal drugs in RL) illegal and if you misuse them you are immediately exiled from andmerica. There are also very strict prescription drug laws, and we have ways of tracking where all prescription drugs go without invading anyone's personal privacy(i.e. - it sends a message when it is digested to the bottle and sends a message to our computers, which then decide whether it is being misused or not depending on how many or how often they are used

While President Kowalski has not officially signed a new non-sentience bill, it is expected that he will sign under pressure from hunters. For those who just tuned in, a new non-sentience bill regarding mimes. Also, in this bill, hippies and mimes are now being added to the hunting season. President Kowalski also released a public message to a small, non-influential country called Joseph Seal in response to their public denouncement that basically told them to shut up or "they will be shitting tungsten for weeks". He was, of course, referring to the "God's Own Sling" railgun system.

A hunting liscense for hippies and mimes has just been established. Fees are $1500 per tag, with two kills per tag, and an extra $500 in taxes for foreign citizens who live outside the Lansraad. hunting will only be allowed inside a seperate colony pod which is now a preserve for hippies and mimes.

Green Sun supports this bill, but are a bit confused. What is CM's definition of a 'hippie'? Green Sun's dictionary defines it as this:
Hippie [hip/ee] 1. (Adj.) One person or thing resembling a hippie 2. (Noun) Someone against, but not necessarily restricted to, meat-eating, free enterprise, Corporations, and any form of organized government. Some hippies may be meat-eating or pro-government, but hippies usually are against any law-passing by anybody. Many hippies are also known to use illegal drugs.

Green Sun proposes that a acreful study of suspected hippies be done on each brought in, which shouldn't be too hard since hippies usually travel in groups.

In response the Scellian government has declared that all persons known to have purchased these abominations called 'hinting liscences' will be arrested and incarcerated for life without the possibility of parole. If someone is supsected of possesing this liscence they will be captured and public records within CM will be checked, if no record exists they will be free to go. No one will be detained for more then 1 hour, and most detaining times will be less then 15 minutes as all public records of CM has been downloaded to Scellian Police Departments around the country. Any military response to this will be met in kind and greater, any orbital stations attempting to orbit Scellia will be shot down as will any SM controlled satellites whatever their stated purpose.

I have that feeling toward many groups. Basically, anyone who wears burberry baseball caps, hippies (especially animal rights protesters), zealot christians such as Jack Chick (http://www.chick.com) and feminazis. To state why, i will quote eric cartman.

The Hippie hunts have begun, and the first hunter was General Joe Kowalski, brother of the President and Secretary of Defense. He bagged a prized hippie, weighing over 250 pounds and had a large amount of muscle mass while trapping its three female mates. He said that the females would be treated well and would keep them like any responsible pet owner would.

The United Socialist States of Gebirgsland finds this legislation to be absolutely appalling. As such, I, the Prime Minister, will be proposing within our parliament a solid plan to offer refuge to any group which is being discriminated against by your nation, which includes not only hippies, but any other groups which you are likely to treat as "sub-humans".

Be advised that if your nation seeks to repel this proposed legislation in a hostile way, that while Gebirgsland is a peace-loving nation and only maintains a self-defense force, we WILL build up our military and also enlist the help of other nations, if it is a fight you are looking for.

As such, should our legislation pass, we would invite you to gather the hippie members of your population, and set them up along your borders, wherein they would be properly transferred to our transport craft.

One question, how has your country survived thus far? You threaten a nation that outweighs you by over a billion people that also has a military over 900 million trained men (read past threads for this). You also failed to note that we are also a space nation, and as such, putting those who you wish th *save* on the border would end up in their death by decompression. It also means that you are within range of our orbital weapons. You may continue to have dialogue with our nation, however, any more aggressive actions will result in a military action that will become "unsatisfactory" to you and your people.

To the nation of Crazed Marines: Our parliament has proposed that we will provide re-usable hazardous environmental suits to be imported into your nation, to allow convoys to transport the hippies, as well as any other group your nation deems "socially unacceptable" to your borders, where our unarmed transport craft would subsequently pick them up and give them refuge in our Gebirgsland.
