BREAKING NEWS!
"Today at exactly 6:34 this morning Block 52G of district 4 of Coug City was put under a Class 5 Quaranteen. Teams arrived in minutes, and various news teams were shooed away as heavily armed and armoured personnel set up a perimeter, stating clearly that anyone trying to enter or leave the infected area would be terminated without warning.
We bring you this exclusive video footage found in the area..."
Shaky hand-held camera looks out of a window onto the streets, heavy breathing is heard. Muffled screams from behind, and the camera swings round. A person staggers in, clutching their face and scratching themselves all over. A revolver comes into the shot, and fires twice at the attacker. they keep advancing, a swelling on their shoulder bursts and sprays the camera-man. Loud screams, the camera falls to the floor and a writhing hand falls into shot. The skin is rapidly flaking away, and hints of green can be seen in the flesh. Screams subside slightly, and the victim stands up.
"Now in other news... wait... somethings happening, we have a live feed from the area, lets take a look!"
"This is Ted Newman, you got that? Ted... Newman reporting here live from the scene of this... outbreak."
The road is blocked by APCs, the machine guns mounted by an elite branch of the Police, called in to deal with heavy riots. They wore a derivative of CyberPlate armour, much lighter but not offering the same degree of protection.
They were armed with assault rifles, SMGs and combat shotguns, these weapons being raised to fire at the hoard of infectees charging the barricade. Few of them were still sentinent, but the ones who were trapped in a body with a mind of its own could only watch in horror as they walked towards death.
Even the news reporter pulls a handgun and starts firing at their advance, the first few rows being decimated by the well-trained Police. At around a hundred metres from the blockade the SMGs opened fire, shredding the infected civilians while the assault rifles switched to incidentary ammuition.
A wave of fire and malice hit the charging infectees, swellings all over them exploding as they were cut to peices. The shotguns fired in unison, dropping the last few of the civilians.
They surveyed the damage, smoke hung in the air and a dull green substance covered the street. The bodies were still moving, crawling towards the Police and twitching where they were too damaged to attack.
Two Police armed with flamethrowers step up, and torch the writhing mass of still-animate corpses. The bodies still scream in pain, their tortured minds being burned to a crisp.
